I will give this one a 4 star review on my airport restaurant scale. I think if this was out in a strip mall in the greater knoxville area, it would be a 3 at best. Service was not overly cheery, but was attentive. Could have been that the group next to me (that she was also serving) were being boorish in their behavior. No need to be d**ks, gentlemen. You give business travelers a bad name. Food was surprisingly good. After a long day, got a tall beer, some texas dry rub (?) style ribs and fries. It was exceeded my expectations. Was fall off the bone good and very tasty. This is the only sit down restaurant in the place, but not a bad option all things considered.

I ate my meal because it was $11. I almost hate to point out that Lurch from The Addam's Family has more appeal than our waiter, who loomed over us creepily, making us feel rushed to order. I have never eaten at Ruby Tuesday but it looks just like every other mediocre restaurant chain - TGI Friday's, Applebee's, Chili's and the like. Ruby Tuesday is the only sit-down restaurant in this airport. You'd think that they would take advantage of the opportunity to really wow the airport travelers but there's nothing here to see folks, so move along! I've been a vegetarian for a couple of years now and I've put on my vegan pants so I'm really hoping to bring out the best of options at every restaurant. This restaurant doesn't even offer a black bean burger, so what did I order, you may be wondering? Under the "salads" portion of their menu they have a pick three 'sides' option. This includes: onion rings, steamed broccoli, spaghetti squash, french fries, mashed potatoes, green beans, and zucchini. (If I left one off, SORRY NOT SORRY.) I chose the oversalted-doesn't-taste-like-broccoli broccoli, fried-in-pig-fat zucchini and spaghetti squash (the fact that they offer this option kinda impressed me). It came with soup or salad (broccoli cheese soup and chicken tortilla salad, both I cannot consume). I chose the dead-spring-lettuce-hidden-under-iceburg-lettuce with a side of bubbling vinaigrette dressing. I left off the cheese and croutons. And no, I do not know why the dressing was bubbling but I did not consume it. It was topped with peas, tomatoes, cucumber and carrots. The pictures I posted look beautiful, thanks to my knack for photography and my Samsung Galaxy S6 but believe me, the food was less-than-mediocre. My boyfriend ordered a chicken quesadilla, but because he did not request in writing for them to leave off the bacon, it came with bacon and less than a dollop of sour cream and pico de gallo nicely placed on wilted lettuce. The food was disgusting. The wait staff was terrible. And the price was ridiculous.

NPS = 0 I hate liars. And I feel Ruby Tuesday has lied to me. In their menu they advertise "unlimited chips" when you order their guacamole dip. After two measly servings of chips, the waitress simply told me they could not get me any more chips. The service took forever except for when it came time to give us the check and pick up the check.

The $11 buck cheeseburgers were overpriced but at least they had leaf lettuce. They were pretty average tasting for airport food. Service was OK. Salads feature iceberg lettuce so I avoided those. Did not see any better place at the airport so this may be the best bet if you have to eat before a flight.

A serious problem with service and attitude at this airport Ruby Tuesdays. Bartender wanted to make sure that you know that he's in charge. He used that "charming" Southern approach of being disingenuously polite while really being a bit of an ass. They have a "card everyone" policy which, while frustrating, is tolerable when presented the right way. His response when I politely questioned the policy was to brusquely ask me, "do you want the beer bud or not?" Not a particularly friendly approach, and one designed to squelch even polite questioning. They only serve beer at this bar, no wine, no spirits...hence, probably the reason why they're "waiting for their license." After I spoke briefly and politely to the manager, suddenly he became chirpy, friendly and polite to everyone...demonstrating to everyone, of course, just what a swell guy he is...and conversely, of course, what a dick I am. I hate this sort of passive aggressive crap. Good luck being stuck at TYS as this is your only choice for libations. Reroute now through another city!

Hey!!! It's the only restaurant in the airport. The other food service entities are stands or kiosks. I've eaten here only due to delays. They uphold the Ruby Tuesday standard of any location so just expect what you get everywhere else. The service is acceptable lacking little yet again I am jaded being a restaurant and food snob I've seen better. This is not a complaint more of an observation with a caveat about my above usual expectations. The food that I have had in the past and today has been acceptable as well. A decent product for a chain joint. This visit has me enjoying a breakfast Casa Dilla and I did enjoy it. I will not condemn or recommend this place it's the only game in town so readers of this yelp will be forced to eat here or drink here. It could be worse, this could be an Applebee's... Heaven forbid!

Small restaurant in a small airport, waitstaff and host was so very nice...as most in the south are. I was seated right away before my flight, went in for a glass of Pinot Grigio and it was good. I was browsing through the menu and the baked cheese ravioli caught my eye. Food was brought out within 15 min and was absolutely cheesy and delicious. Great place.

It's the only restaurant in the airport, which translates. . . suck it up or starve! Service was mediocre at best. The wait staff all congregated around the podium at the entrance and never seemed to be busy. Food was not typical for Ruby Tuesday's but at least they had wine! Happy travels!!

Ordered a 25 oz brewski and it came in a hot glass. Told the waitress and she brought me a fresh one in a 16 oz glass... She adjusted the price after I commented, but I didn't order a baby beer

Just ate here today. I normally love RTs and was happy to see an airport location. The food was average it's the service that earns them 1 star. My dining experience started by being greeted by a very unhappy looking waitress (long light blond hair in a scraggly ponytail...it is nice to see neat and clean looking servers when they're dealing with food but that's a personal preference) who acted rather put out that she had to tell me to take a seat anywhere. I ended up sitting at a table ( not in her section, thankfully!) that was located near the area where servers enter orders. This allowed me to hear ALL of the conversations she had with other wait staff. She tried to con my server into giving up part of his indoor section, which was fuller than hers, but he didn't fall for it. She also spent a good amount of time complaining about other customers. I guess since her section was outside, and out of hearing range, she didn't care who heard. One of her issues was laughing about this "stupid" lady who wanted to order a sandwich with no mayo and no bread..."who ever heard of a sandwich with no bread! Hahahaha!" Well, me for one. I was in the middle of eating my avocado chicken sandwich WITHOUT BREAD. (I find it hard to believe she's never encountered that as a server.) In addition to all this, she mentioned someone having a thyroid issue at one point. To be fair, I'm not sure what the context was but based on every other time I heard what came out of her mouth and the tone of voice being used I'm going to assume it also had a negative connotation. Well, I happen to have thyroid disease and it's not to be taken lightly. What struck me as ironic is that she also talked about needing to make money today - at least $100. When I waited tables in college, I quickly learned that my attitude often reflected what kind of tips I made. All in all a fairly crappy experience. I fly through here often and can't say I'll visit this location again.

Service was just so-so but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. There are only a few options in the Knoxville airport - TYS: Quizno's, Uno's, Starbucks and Ruby Tues. We had a ton of time to kill and opted for the sit-down service. I ordered the grilled salmon salad with dressing on the side. Nicely grilled, good size portion. I avoided the white iceberg (greens should be green!) and ate the rest of the greens and cucumbers. The red onion was off to the side - easy to avoid. Too much feta. Gf really enjoyed her steak with shrimp. The string beans were delicious! String beans in an airport - not bad.

Something about being at airports makes me want to sit at chain restaurants to kill time. Ruby Tuesday had cocktails and snacks, and didn't mind that J and I camped out for a while, sprawled out doing work (thank you, airport WiFi!). The service isn't the best, and the menu is limited, but it beats sitting at the gate at eating Quizno's. I imagine if you're here, you'll do one or the other.

This place wasn't that great. I be better off spending my money at Quiznos across the way. I don't know if it's the location be the food was not fresh and seem like it the put my dessert a little too long in the microwave. When I asked for a refill, it appear all they did was put more ice. The only reason they even got a 2 star rating is bc they have TVs.

I was very surprised to find a Ruby Tuesday in the airport, even more surprised to find a full salad bar inside. I don't remember the name of my waitress, but she was very nice. They had crab cakes and of course, I had to try them. They were acceptable. The wine selection was ok, as expected. It was great to be able to eat something besides fast food in an airport.

I am surprised by the food quality considering it's in the airport. The grilled spaghetti squash and the tangy chicken tortilla soup are really tasty. It's real food! I always had a bad experience in LAX. But it seems that people in Tennessee are more healthy and picky about their food. The airport is clean and bright, people are truly nice and happy, I guess who wouldn't be when you live beside the beautiful smoky mountain.

After I got my coffee I wanted a warm breakfast sandwich. Between Quiznos and Ruby Tuesdays, I settled on Ruby Tuesdays. They not only have a sit down breakfast (but nothing caught my eye) but 5 or 6 different breakfast sandwich types to go. For only $3.50! At a airport! I couldn't believe it after paying $10 at SFO. I was debating between a sausage/egg/cheese biscuit or crossaint. Of course I asked the worker and she said their biscuits were pretty darn good. Done deal! I was surprised the biscuit was larger than what I had expected (i.e. KFC size) and it was one of the best fast food breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. Craving one now!

They've got a damn good mimosa! I was stuck here waiting at the airport for my mom to come pick me up since I had some time to kill before she got there. I opted to start my vacay with a drink and as mentioned the mimosa was my poison of choice. My bartender was very nice and assertive to my needs. He added even an extra splash of champagne without charging me. I appreciated that. Strong drink and a strong sense of comfort from a good ole Ruby Tuesday. To be honest I didn't even know they served alcohol. Win!!

Great service and super attentive staff. (Thanks Travis) as airport versions of restaurants go this one is an A+. Cold beer in the right glass, spicy food was spicy and the salad was actually crisp. Who knew.

For an airport restaurant, not too shabby. I went in for breakfast and got the steak and eggs. Pretty good. Steak was cooked perfectly to my preference. It also came with fried potatoes and tiny salad with apples. Big plus was it was only like $12.

  • Rhea P.

I was so thrilled to find this RT in the airport, but now they REMOVED the salad bar. This is MAJOR fail for me. Actually, there is no reason for me to even grace RT with my presence without a salad bar!! Such a travesty!

  • Chris S.

It is the airport version, so the food isn't the same. Drinks were good and I happened to watch old boxing matches for an hour before flying home. Go for the bar, but I wouldn't expect the food to be amazing.
