We'll I've gotta do an update. Just visited again today and it seems to be going downhill. While the service was ok, the breaded chicken...not so much. They've changed their chicken and it is now the dark meat nasty seconds. Full of fat and gristle. My son got the chicken tenders and they were the flash frozen Tyson chicken plus two "wings" that were so nasty that I wouldn't feed them to a stray dog. Very sad though because I really liked Ming Tree a lot. I also do not know if they have new owners, I didn't see any staff I recognized. Only one Asian working the register, the rest were Hispanic. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it just made ordering the Asian food more difficult for them to understand.

Good food, lackluster service. I started with the hot and sour soup, which was good but lacking in substance (e.g., vegetables). There was a little tofu, and of course the egg drop, but no bamboo shoots or mushrooms or anything else. And a little light on the "hot." I also got the steamed pot stickers, which were very good. The dipping sauce was a little cold, which took the luster off the dish a little. For an entree, I got the House Chicken, which was sort of like Hunan Chicken plus extra vegetables. One of the extra vegetables was zucchini, which was unusual for a Chinese dish. Not sure I've had that particular vegetable in Chinese food before. However, the dish itself was really good. The vegetables were not overcooked but now raw either. It was supposed to be spicy, which it was, but it was a little light on spice. Easily remedied, though, by adding additional spice. The service was good until she served the entree. Then she disappeared. It took an inordinate amount of time to get the bill and then another long wait pick up and process my credit card. As a matter of fact, I had to track down the manager to complete the deal. And it wasn't very busy that time at all. But overall, it was not a bad experience.

Food was fantastic. Service was friendly. They could have had more Thai on the menu but if I lived closer I would eat there frequently. Better than a lot of Oriental restaurants a little south or sw of the area.

Just terrible. I'd rather have McDonald's any day of the week! The staff was trying to work with what they had, but this place needs a manager with vision and a focus on improving the place.

The ABSOLUTE WORST Chinese food I've EVER had in my life! Trust me don't go there! I ordered 8 different things and only one was good! It was very bland. Everything tasted the same! If I could give ZERO stars I would have!

Do not go here! I ordered sweet and sour chicken and got a rice box full of onions with a few pieces of beef. So not only did they get my order wrong they gave me a box full of onions.

I thought Ming Tree Chinese Restaurant was a place to get authentic Chinese food but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations. I went there with a few of my coworkers for lunch and they had lunch specials They have really good deals, I can say that and good portions as well plus complimentary fried wontons with two different dip as an appetizer. Also most of their lunch specials consists of a main entree with fried rice, soup and an eggroll. Service was great, too. The waiters were nice. They would pass by frequently and ask if we needed anything else, if the food was good, if we needed a refill, etc. Food came out quick as well. One of the fastest sit down lunches we had so far. There were a few disappointments though that bother me. One was the eggroll; it was Americanized from the type of wrap they used to make them. It's one of those thicker and bread-ier wraps; it made the experience a little less authentic. That didn't bother me too much though. The biggest disappointment was how all the beef and shrimp chow mein orders did not have the mein part (noodles). I never had a chow mein without the noodles, and chow mein literally means stir-fried noodles in Chinese. :( The mein-less chow mein came with the type of meat we ordered and cooked the same way as chow mein would've but without the mein noodles. However they did came with the fried rice, soup and eggroll as mentioned above. I was just a little sad and disappointed because I really wanted noodles that day. Other than the food experience, everything else was good.

Service was good. Presentation was great! Food was okay. I get a little nervous about the food when I don't see any Chinese working in a Chinese restaurant. Mostly Hispanic staff.

Awful food the general TS'OS is watery and has no flavor. The service is ok that's why they got a 1 star. This is the worst chines food I have ever had.

This place is horrible. I wouldn't have eaten here just by the appearance of the restaurant alone, but my friend had to have rice somewhere somehow. She ordered the Pad Thai.... it was a pile of mushy noodles with what we thought was peanut sauce.. and that's it. We got some fried rice and it tasted like it was 2 days old. Nasty nasty nasty.

This is a friendly place with welcoming people in the front, nice booths or tables with privacy, not a noisy place at all. The service is prompt and attentive. We've never had a server that was bad. The food is average to above average, and we love Chinese/Asian cuisine. The hot and sour soup is heads above anything else in town, really remarkable with a rich, hearty broth, not floating with mushrooms like some restaurants. We go regularly and enjoy the lemon chicken, orange chicken, the Ming Tree fried rice and will often sample their "Special" of the day, which is often less than $7, includes egg roll and soup with entree. There are few Asian places in this area that I like, so this is my second choice of a limited number of places here. Worth a try.

Excellent food. Got takeout twice while we were visiting and I was very impressed by the quality of the food. Lunch portion seemed a little small but the quality made up for that, and btw, it was plenty of food anyway.

I was sadly disappointed with the food. It was overcooked and limp. The sauce was very bland. The waiter, however, was very attentive, and if I so much as thought I needed a refill of my iced tea, he was there. Unless they get cooks that know Chinese food, I'm not planning on returning.

Good Chinese - had the General "Chow's" Chicken and it was one of the best I've had. The Hot & Sour soup was exceptional almost perfect. The egg roll was nothing to rave about but all in all a very good meal with good service.

Love this place. the Hot and sour soup is to die for. All their dishes are mindfully prepared and tasty very tasty . the presentation is great and the portion size is great, The wait staff is great and have been there for many years. The price is a little higher than other oriental places in the area but it's a cut above for sure. They could however use some new ideas on their menu which hasn't changed in forever.

I tried Ming Tree after reading several reviews on Yelp. The service was fast and friendly. I ordered the sesame chicken with a egg roll and rice..chicken was very flavorful, rice was average. Only disappointment was the egg roll. I didn't care for the taste of the filling. All in all this is a good place and i would eat there again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
