Every time my family and I go to Pierre we make sure to get these doughnuts. They're inexpensive (you can get a dozen doughnuts for less than $8. Where else can you find those kind of prices?) and absolutely friggin' delicious. My particular favourite is the German chocolate with coconut. This place is only open extremely early in the morning and hidden away, which means on the rare occasion my family does get to get them it's like getting mythical doughnuts. And they certainly taste it, too. These are the best doughnuts I've ever had. They are fresh, crisp and delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who's visiting or living in the Pierre area and doesn't mind getting up extremely early.

I grew up eating those awesome donut holes from this genius shop. Never been upset with an order or service at this gem. I could run a train on a box of these suckers...just get their early in order to get enough.

Childhood memories of buttercream filled long johns and banana cake donuts in the shape of a small banana and don't forget the filled donut holes. Yum. I haven't been back home to Pierre in years but when I do go back, this is one of my first stops.

There are no better donuts in the ENTIRE WORLD than the ones here. I don't know how Pierre got so lucky between the Zesto, Pier 347, and the Donut Shop, but this small town has some really fantastic treats. Whenever I visit I pry my eyes open and get to the donut shop at the ridiculously early hour of before ten a.m. and order AT LEAST two dozen donut holes plus regular donuts (and when I can't get up, I have someone get them for me, but it only buys me a few minutes as I need to be up when they return otherwise others will descend on these donuts like republicans on obama). These may or may not last more than an hour, depending on how well you've hidden the fact you've gotten them. These donut holes are sliced and filled with buttercream (REALLY fantastic buttercream) and rolled in sugar. They have regular sized donuts, too, equal in delisiousness. I remember walking up to the donut shop from my grandmother's house with a friend when I was a little girl to get donuts and they are still just as delicious (or perhaps even more now that I've had the misfortune of being exposed to things like Dunkin' Donuts and have a comparison on donuts)! Be sure to get there early as they close early!
