Don't let the shark fool you. This place is its own being. Great bar with fun atmosphere. It even has a booby bar in the back. The food portions are huge for the most part. If you are ordering shrimp baskets you may want to order more than one. The bar tenders are fantastic. The owner is also a great guy. TVs all over for the sports fans. Two thumbs up. Reccomended for a down south good time.

My party if 3 all had steaks and when our baked potatoes came out they were burnt when we sent them back they came back the same and the steak had about as much flavor as a flip flop!!

Very nice place. I was skeptical of coming here at first but was surprised by the food and atmosphere. I had Fish Taco and it was good. Not much selection of beers but I found a good one. Worse of coming..!!!

Food was great! Service wasn't all that great. I'd keep the kids away because of the attached gentlemen's club.

This is your typical beer / food bar that happens to have a booby bar in back. I always come here with my friends during out annual golf tourney. The best thing here is the buffalo shrimp. Get two orders. The staff is really nice and the owner (name is the same as an ex panther player but not the real one) and his son were really cool. I'm giving them four stars because it is just a cool place to hang if you are with your friend. They have tons of TVs for football watching too!

Attached to a strip club? Yes. Decently out of place for the area? Yes. Worth stopping by? Yes. Pulling up to the place, you would question why you decided to swing in. Well, the first answer you give yourself is "well, there aren't a lot of options in the area" and the second is "why not?!". Coasters is a tiki style deco seafood joint attached to a strip bar in the backwoods of South Carolina. We were there around 7:30 PM on a Tuesday night, so the atmosphere was a little lackluster, but it was also expected. The reviews are pretty split, but overall my experience was positive from the service, to the drinks all the way to the food. Me and my table ended up with only appetizers and margaritas, but ended up with no complaints on either. The gator bites were in season, fresh, hot and served with a tangy Asian dipping sauce that really did a lot for the gator nugs. The oysters Rockefeller was simply on point. They were large in size with plenty of spinach and cheese, served with a lemon slice and nothing else...because nothing else was needed. Lastly, they were priced wonderfully! Overall, Coasters was a good experience. If in the area again, I would definitely swing in for a $4 margarita and a few oysters.

I don't understand how this place has the rating it does. Granted this is a seafood restaurant nowhere near the ocean, attached to a strip club, but it is just awful! We were asked if we preferred smoking or non, this doesn't make sense, because it has one huge room with a bar in the back. So, it is ALL smoking! The kitschy decor is covered in dust. The people bringing food out of the kitchen, were filthy-wearing crocs with their dirty heels scuffing along the floor. My son and husband ordered the Captain's Platter. The plate was piled high with food, but it was so over cooked, the tiny oysters were just dried grossness! The hush puppies were dark brown on the outside, but mushy on the inside. My daughter ordered a side salad and said the tomatoes were rotten. My "jumbo" shrimp dinner was more like something I could have ordered at Captain D's, paid a third of the price and enjoyed twice as much! If my son had not begged for seafood, I would have left as soon as my eyes adjusted to the lighting!

Arrival time: 8:20 pm Just stopping through on our way from FL to VA. Honestly, I think our experience warranted 2 stars, only because of the wait I'm about to describe. Let's start with the beverage experience. Asked the server if they carried Coke or Pepsi, she said Pepsi and I asked for water (we're Coke people.). Then we were informed they serve Coke at the bar, Pepsi in the restaurant. Okay. Whatever. Too confusing. Drinks - 10 minutes. Now on to the arduous wait for the food. We ordered alligator bites, popcorn shrimp and pork chops. 20 minutes - last sighting of our server. Roughly 30 minutes into our wait, the beau spills his drink. It goes unnoticed. For quite awhile. 40 minutes in and he finally says something to another server about the wait. New server checks on everything and returns with promises its coming. (Yeah, so is Jesus. But I'm willing to wait for him.) Then, the aforementioned vanishing server shows up and keep touch our arms reassuring us it's coming - oh but she brought killer yeast rolls, an excuse that a large party was put in ahead of us, and a 10% discount. 10 minutes more... Safe to assume our order never got dropped to the kitchen. Finally, 1 hour total and our food comes, minus the gator. The shrimp basket was eatable, kinda sparce, but loved the fries. The pork chop was salty, broccoli and sweet potato fries were great. We scarfed it down and I took my fries to go. Departure time: 9:40 pm Overall we saw 3 other tables come, eat and go after we arrived, none of whom ordered before us. A lovely couple sat next to us right around the time we complained (We talked hockey and commented on our mutual shock that they still allow smoking in restaurants. That eased the tension a bit for me.). What do you know, their food came out moments after ours. That's ridiculous. Our consolation was no charge for beau's soda, free yeast rolls, 10% off, and an overly apologetic reincarnation of our server. The end.

Sadly, have to give this restaurant a 2. Why you ask? SMOKING!!!!!! I had pretty much thought this was banned everywhere but I was mistaken. Unfortunate b/c the fish tacos were excellent! They were more like burritos. You only need 1 & not 2. They are huge & have rice which is why I say burrito but the sauce & grouper were excellent. Would revise my stars if people didn't blow smoke my way while eating.
