Just as good as the downtown location. Enjoy a peaceful dinner at this one without a long wait and crowd. Loved the outside patio out back. Good folks here!

We visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon after having driven past on a Friday night that had a packed house. Fun, eclectic atmosphere. Outside eating is nice. The building itself is an excellent example of repurposing an old Taco Bell building. Service was attentive. My husband ordered no goat cheese on his fish tacos but politely ate them. The server noticed and brought my husband a fresh plate. The food itself is a little bland, especially the rice and beans. A little salt would go a long way. With that said, EVERYTHING on our plate was made fresh- well, except maybe the beans. We'll definitely be back since the overall experience was positive.

Great atmosphere and drinks, but that's probably one of the worst burgers ever. Definitely order some sweet potato fries! I'll be back here I'm sure.

If I had to subsist on one meal for all my life, the roasted pork burrito may just be that meal. You don't have to wait until New Years Day to get your collards, greens, and pork fix. Put it in a burrito, pair it with rice and beans, and I'm hooked! Nice beer selection too!

This place is simply just awesome! I went there the other night and got one of their burritos- really nice size portions, very tasty and good presentation. Atmosphere is laid back. They had a lot of dishes that I had not seen before even my kid liked this food. We definitely will be going there more often!

Ok this is not like downtown!! Menu is the same but much different atmosphere Very loud , not as cozy Wait staff was quite frankly awful. She was annoyed to get us a gluten free menu , we had to ask for waters, ask for extra napkins, even rolled her eyes at us .. In regards to the food. The sweet potato fries were good. The fish tacos were ok. My rice (with beans ) was undercooked The Texas margarita was delicious and that's why its getting --Two stars Go downtown not mauldin

Not as good as downtown. Food was below average and waitstaff was sloppy. They actually charge for chips and salsa. Patio furniture was dirty. Try at your own risk.

Went there for lunch on a Friday. Did get free chips and salsa contrary to other reviews. Maybe they only offer them at certain times? Great food. I had the chicken burrito which had a wonderful combination of flavors that I will daydream about until I go back again.

I have been here numerous times now and have always had a good experience and always the friendliest service..

I've now been coming here regularly and can't say anything negative about this place. Friendly service from everyone, the Mediterranean food (not Mexican) is great, I like that they give you free chips with their homemade salsa during happy hour (only $2.50 all other times, and if that breaks your bank you may want to find some place with a $0.99 menu). This place is now like a second home and would recommend it to anyone.

Despite the fact that it looks, and feels like a Mexican food restaurant, it is not... And just like the reviews on the downtown location, they have the same bad service in Maudlin. From the time they took my order to the time I left, I saw my waitress all of 1 minute, in a restaurant with 8 people in it. Constantly had to ask for everything.. Ketchup, mayo, etc.. and finally got a refill as I was packing up to leave. Also, they do not have a full menu on Sunday...?

The restaurant was busy on the Saturday night we visited & the manager did his best to take care of us. But over all the service was poor. And the food lacked seasoning & flavor. We won't be back.....

Went to the location in maudlin. Wasn't crazy about the atmosphere as it seemed a little thrown together. The food was pretty good. We had the stuffed enchilladas and the jerk chicken. Both were really good. Good service. If you are in a hurry this location is fine but I think the location downtown might be more worth the trip. They did make a top notch margarita.

Horrified by this place. If I could give it 0 Stars I would. After walking in, and using the filthy, disgusting bathroom, my friend and I walked out side to see if there was a bar. We were immediately cat called and harassed by several older men. We turned around and went to the bar inside. While we were trying to order drinks (in an empty bar) one of the men from out side followed us in and attacked us, grabbing us by the dress collars, demanding our ID's ( we are in our 30's and already had our ID's out for the bar tender) the "bouncer" who was clearly intoxicated screamed at us. We were warned earlier in the night by another restart server ( at SIP Which was great) That's this bar HATES women. We brushed it off and went anyways. Horrible mistake. The only thing that kept me from calling the police was the "regulars" who said it was just one bad seed. We left immediately. Way too many good palaces to waste your time here. Horrible place - don't know how they are still in business

Great chicken burrito. Had some avocado, spinach and a plantain in there! Decent lunch portion size too. I usually get the Mile High Nachos but glad I made the swap. Speedy service too. Still like the downtown location a bit better... But this is a nice lunch spot.

Skip this place. They charge you for chips and salsa. A chicken quesadilla was $9. The wooden chairs are glued together, like you can literally see the glue. Floor tiles are all busted. Very pricey. Not worth it. First and last visit.

Amazing mix of Caribbean and Southern! Shrimp and Grits were great! Best crab cakes...ever! Curried collards...while sounds like something sacrilegious to most southerners where a great twist on one of my favorites. Staff (Justin) was one of the best servers we've ever had. Helpful on explaining the menu (which has a ton to choose from and all unique). Great beer selection, too. Not sure what there was not to like! Quit bitching about the wooden chairs...it's a bar and grill...not Morton's...and I'll come here again before I'll go back to Morton's.

We've been here three times (2 lunch, 1 dinner)with 2 kids, 4 and 2 years old. The good: Some food. *I loved the beef brisket burrito, and the Cuban-like sandwich (their name). Sweet potato fries are great! And the kids chicken strips are tasty. *Service. We've had great servers every time, and we've been out of direct sight on the patio. They've been attentive and helpful. *The patio. It's a FANTASTIC place to bring kids. They can play while you wait! And it's just not bothersome to other diners when there are kids. The bad: A few food items: *one of their signature items is the cream cheese enchilada. But it was just blame (maybe roasted?) chicken and what tasted like Velveeta. I didn't love it at all. *The roasted chicken burrito had potential to be great, but it had too many mushy, sweet tastes/textures and nothing to balance it, like a smoky or citrus-ey salsa or a strong cheese. *the salsa tastes fresh. It just needs salt! Maybe some citrus? *the patio has/is a smoking section. What? In 2015? Is that even legal? Not in Greenville or Simpsonville, so maybe mauldin still hasn't banned smoking. Anyway, it's outside, so that's not at all a deal breaker. I'm just surprised. The bottom line for us is that it's kid-friendly and there are some menu items we like quite a bit. We will order around the other stuff, add salt and hot sauce where needed, and keep coming back.
