Hidden gem in Mauldin Great clean and friendly place to drop by for a drink, food and desert Just love this inside of this place. You'd never know from outside. Hidden gem Only the cool cats know about it ... Or yelpers Harrison at bar is great Food was so good. They deliver too.
A work friend introduced us to the Turtle Shell. It doesn't look like much on the inside but what it lacks in decor it surely makes up for in terms of service and friendliness. When we entered the restaurant someone actually opened the door for us! This doesn't happen often and a very good first impression. I had a hard time deciding between the shrimp po boy or the buffalo chicken sandwich. I decided on the buffalo chicken. What came out was a very generous serving. I was afforded the choice between blue cheese dressing on the sandwich or ranch. Blue cheese it was! Instead of fries I went with the house salad with Italian dressing. Sandwich was fresh and nice and crunchy but really good. The salad was fresh crispy and good n tasty! For me, I'd rather support a restaurant such as this where you can tell they are trying to make their livelihood than a major chain! After leaving the young girl opened the door for us also when departing! Very nice touch! Come support this place, great down home food and I'd like to see it prosper! Well done!
When your liking for great food in a casual atmosphere, The Turtle Shell is the place. The service is phenomenal, Harrison is an awesome bartender. He greeted us at the door and served us at the bar. We had onion rings as an appetizer. They were plentiful and crispy. The dipping sauce was really good. My beautiful wife had the chicken quesadilla as her entree. It was huge and she loved it. My bacon cheeseburger was great and the fries are unique and delicious. We WILL be returning SOON!!! If you're in the area, stop by.

This stuff was good ya'll!!! I'm not typically a fan of buffets but this fit the bill for a large group of adults and kids. There was plenty of kid friendly food as well as fare for the adults. The food seemed to be homemade or at least not straight from a can. The kids loved the train and the price was right too. Recommend!
This place is okay. The price is extremely competitive for an all-you-can-eat buffet. Cons: -The food quality is sub-par. The only thing that actually tasted fresh was the okra. -I think the fact that the trash cans are literally right next to the tables really grossed me out. -The seating arrangement is awkward for such a tiny space. -The décor doesn't make any sense. -The deserts were just store bought. Big takeaway to management: only serve fresh food, not stuff I can buy in a can. There is a lot of room for improvement.
I don't know how this place stays in business. The food is mediocre at best. There are WAY to many good bbq places around here to bother with this one. The restaurant is nice and attractive but they should have spent more on good food and less on the building.

Very good food, passed by the place all the time and always wondered about it. Read reviews here on Yelp and had to try it. Steak was very tender and the shrimp were peeled and devained, big plus for the wife. Food was served very hot and the veggies were cooked perfect. Sushi was very good. Only thing I can think of I didn't like and was no big deal were the cheap plastic forks. We defiantly will be returning.
Positives: The steak was tender and flavorful It's convenient, quick and close. The sushi wasn't bad! Negatives: The chicken in my teriyaki was soooo bland and overcooked. Just dry and tasteless. The house special roll was probably better in-store, but by the time I was home, all I could taste was the cooking oil in the coating - not crunchy at all. Partly my fault for ordering a sushi roll to go, but the oil taste was icky. Or biggest complaint was the Crab Rangoons. Oh my stars! I don't know what they use for the filing. My guess is some kind of starch, but it gives the consistency of a wet marshmallow. No joke. Spongy and dense, almost like a bechamel, but gummy. I don't know that cream cheese is authentic, but it's normal for American Chinese. This was not. And the crab taste was not there at all. Overall, we'll probably eat there again, but only steak dishes.
One word, shit. Sushi is not fresh so don't waste your time with it. Had to spit it out as soon as I tasted it. Biggest waste of money. They can't even get a California roll right. You'd be better off going next door to bi-lo.

They have the best drink specials. The signature margarita on the rocks is my favorite. I also love the shrimp and vegetable empanadas.
We just moved to South Carolina from Arizona and this place made us feel right at home! The food was delicious and the service was amazing! Definitely try the homemade margaritas- the homemade sour mix is on point! We loved the burritos. Thank you so much Tequilana- we will be coming back!!
By far, the best Mexican food I've had since moving to SC. I had the tamales and they were awesome. The kids' quesadilla was bigger and better than most adult entrees at other restaurants. My husband ate every bite of his brisket taquitos. Our service was great, too. The chips stayed full, while we munched on chori-queso dip. We'll be going back... again and again.

Comfort food at its BEST! Wish we lived closer and could patronize this fun friendly family run establishment more frequently. Pizza, wings, fish fry (Fridays) and beef on weck are mine and my hubby's faves. Buffalo & NYC owners know how it's done! If you haven't been here, give it a try, you'll be glad you did.
The food is wonderful, love the bar, lots of TV's for watching sports. The staff is attentive, and they always make sure the food is up to par and check your drink status. Just a side note, on more than one occasion I've seen the owner who sits at the bar getting on the staff which is very uncomfortable for the patrons...he's kinda creepy
Pros: Full Bar. Best Wings ever. The pizza was so good. Carrot Cake was amazing! Cons - Service wasn't the best but I can look past that since our server was very busy

Quality food quick and easy. Everything I've tried has been good. It's a clean restaurant with fast working staff. Consistently the food is well prepared. Lots of parking
I'm a fan. Quick and easy take-out. It's always ready in 10 minutes and tastes great. We usually grab spare ribs, wonton soup and seasame chicken. It's always a notch better than other similar strip mall take-out places.
The food is terrible. Anybody who says otherwise probably thinks Waffle House is fine dining.

Service was friendly, but the food was bad, and the portions were extremely small. This is a small thing, but the side salad had about 2 pounds of lime juice dumped on it with a little bit of olive oil, and that was supposed to have served as the dressing. I grew up on Middle Eastern food, and the flavors here just tasted off in many ways. Be forewarned that this is a Middle Eastern restaurant that has a menu that half consists of grilled cheese sandwiches, fried chicken, and burgers. Kebabs were tiny with no vegetables of any kind, and their weird tabouli salad was covered in pickles. If you're looking for genuine Middle Eastern food, I recommend seeking it elsewhere.
We love this place. It is close, reasonable, family owned and has great food. We usually go every weekend for lunch. I only hope that they stick to Medateran meals and stay away from typical American items. Trust your food!
Great local establishment. A hidden gem for fresh Mediterranean food. I've been here a few times after just moving nearby and have yet to be disappointed.

Great pizza for delivery Crust is really good Quality ingredients Nice delivery driver Easy to order
Our new "go-to" pizza place. Tried them for the first time late on a Sunday. Called with a BOGO coupon at 8:45pm (didn't know they closed at 9), and got two specialty pizzas. No hassle, no attitude, no problems. Love the flavored crusts! All fresh ingredients; the green peppers and onions were still crisp and crunchy, and the mushrooms weren't canned. The sausage is good, spicy Italian sausage (pizza shouldn't have breakfast sausage!). Crust is chewy, like a pizza crust should be (none of that gluten free nonsense for me!) price was a little high, but not unreasonable, or enough to drive is away. We'll be back!
Tried to stop one of their drivers in a yellow small truck with no brake lights darting in and around traffic to give him a heads up on his lights. Ignored my attempts out right. If the management doesnt even have the sense to check out the cars they turn loose on the roads to carry their product it tells me a lot about the place. My advice is to hire someone that cares about the representatives of their product and the upkeep of the vehicles they drive. That by itself tells the customer just as much as the food. Maintenance and cleanliness matters just ask any one of your customers. Not erery customer lives in a frat house.
