An absolute gem in the middle of nowhere! A favorite with locals, and probably the best kept secret in the Upstate. Sadie Mae's is not much on decor. Seating is limited to 5-6 tables and the kitchen is right by the front door but the food is unbelievably good. Daily specials. Saturday is ribeye steak and shrimp, both grilled to perfection on an outside charcoal grill (on the front porch) by Sadie herself. Not a cheap cut either, thick juicy and seasoned just right! Fried green tomatoes as a side item! Prime rib sandwiches piled high and dripping with flavor. Sadie's salad features fresh vegetables in a cheese sauce! Sandwich prices are very reasonable. Steak and prime rib dinners only set you back about $20. Restaurant is cash or local check only. Service is surprisingly good given that there is only Sadie in the kitchen ( or in the porch at the grill) and one waitress.
