Service was amazing! Most flavors of wings were half off while we were there, so our table split an order of 50. Splitting flavors is no hassle at WWC unlike many other wing places. Food was good, music wasn't too loud, I'm a fan!

Came here for lunch today for their all-you-can-eat chicken wing buffet for $10. Seriously, best thing i've ever heard except for the fact that I can't down more than five wings without feeling sick..haha. For their buffet, they have a selection of approximate 8-10 types of wings, celery + dipping, and two types of soup. All the wings i've tried were super good. I was especially a fan of their buffalo wing soup, although it makes me wonder how healthy it is. I love the fact that it's cheap and you can try a huge variety of wings. I heard that on Wild Wednesdays, you can also do the get x number of wings and get x number of wings free (used to be 12, i heard from a coworker that it's 10, and someone on yelp said 8). Yum!

3 stars only for all the wing flavors, other than that the beer was warm, the chip appetizer was horrible & service was just okay. When in Charleston again this place will be passed up.

Love it. It's my 3rd time to Charleston..all for work and it's my 2nd time to this restaurant. Just like the name says it...WINGS WINGS WINGS...awesome!!! Pick your wings out of the 25+ sauces. Great people, hot Southern hostesses and waitresses!!! =))) I'll always go back to this place if I'm in the neighborhood!

Heaven does exist and they feed you wings! Wild Wing Cafe has the best wings of my life!!! All 33 flavors. I crave Jalapeno Cheddar wings at least once a month! Oh the Ranchilada! Old Yeller! Just thinking about them make my heart pound harder! Back to the Cafe..... The staff is very welcoming, partly because it is downtown at the market. (Tourists. Lots of them!) They have great beer on tap and I think I mentioned the wings! If you like or even LovE wings, you got to try theirs!!

Good Wings.. My boyfriend loved them, but I still think he makes them better. They have a ton of sauces to choose from. Mac and Cheese is ok.. nothing special, so I wouldn't recommend. They had $4 drinks on a Sat. night and great LIVE music. Fun place to hang out. Our waitress was awesome!

Three stars for service. Wings are similar to BW3's, and I'm not a huge fan of BW3's. lots of sauces and options. Buffalo chicken dip and pretzel bites were fine. We ducked in here to watch a football game while walking around town because everything else was packed or didn't have our games on. Wouldn't recommend for food alone.

Love this place! They have live music on the weekends and a fun atmosphere. The main draw is the wings, but the burgers and sandwiches are great too. My fave is the turkey burger. The drinks menu has pitcher drinks that are delicious and a great price!

I was hesitant to check this place out because it was a chain and I am a recovering food snob... but wow were these wings delicious. The "red hot and bleu" flavor was the best wing I've ever eaten, and the other flavor we tried was good as well. I will make a point to come here everytime I'm in South Carolina. Great wings, great service. Recommended.

This is such a great place. Every time I'm in town, I go there. The people are very friendly- wings are great- great prices- great deals on beer- relaxed atmosphere- some times they have bands play- it's right in the center of Market St- great location. I highly recommend it. It's down-home Southern yumminess!

I am fanatical about buffalo wings. Seriously. The only reason I fail at being a vegetarian is because of buffalo wings. I really, really, really enjoy eating them. And that's what makes this place rock my freakin world. It's delicious! It's amazingly delicious. The flavors are all baked in and just scrumptious. It's been a while since I've been here, but I always compare my other buffalo wing experiences to this place and they always pale in comparison. Oh yes, I will get back here...oh yes...someday I will.

I sat at the bar and drank a lot of Vodka, then I watched college football while girls around me screamed, "Whoo! Hooo! Yeah!" and "This is Tina! She was my bridesmaid and like totally my best friend!" Then the bar would get into this giant uproar about something happening on the TV when the football did something, there was a minor disagreement about what game to watch. I had some wings and walked out with a headache. Complaining aside, was an okay place to stop for a drink, I didn't really get the full ambiance of the place and why everyone likes it so much. Maybe this yank should just stay out of some places.

In all fairness I didn't try the wings but would have to say the next time in Charleston . At the halfway point of touring Historic Charleston it was a pleasure to get into a cool air conditioned restaurant. Located near the outdoor Slave Market this a a friendly spot for lunch or dinner. Fairly extensive bar fare menu, from burgers, wings and pulled pork to fried foods . Over all worth stopping in ,friendly staff and good food

For some reason I keep going back to this place and talk myself into getting the wing buffet. I dont know why/how I do it, every time I leave, I feel sick and gross, too much grease in my life. Its not like I binge, I probably have 12-15 wings. If you want wings here at lunch, You may as well just get the buffet, no waiting and they have the most popular flavors available. Its around 11 bucks for lunch, so for me that's too much but occasionally its okay. I like other items here, buffarilla wrap and fries, pretty good for around 8 bucks. Or Dave's chicken and friends, its an appetizer but good for a meal. If you are downtown and dont feel like seafood or anything too touristy this place is fairly good.

Just ate here after reading reviews. Actually had a few too many here last night but had Lots Of fun! Was looking to eat something simple and uncomplicated. Thx to yelpers came here for wings. Really good! Jalapeño and Parmesan was our choice. Can't go wrong. Never had wings fried than sauced than baked. What a great flavor. Never been a fan of the buffalo wing so pleasantly surprised by these. Too bad I live in the west coast and can't get these regularly:-( husband now contemplating getting six more for the room!!! Anyway. Great wings and don't skip the fish tacos on Tuesday. There great too.

We were in town for the night and we were really hungry! The specials they had were incredible! You buy 12 wings and get 12 wings FREE!! the wings were awesome BUT, yes there's a but. If you sell spicy food, the servers better be sure the drinks are full at times. The kid walked by me three times without my drink, saying it will be right out. the funny thing is other drinks were being served when he asked after I did! my mouth was on fire and he kept putting up his finger like saying its coming when you know very well, he kept forgetting! wings A+/service C-

A perfectly adequate, 3.5 stars. Greasy well executed American fare. The chicken wings are above average and they have good ranch dressing. Lots of choices for wing flavors too. They have good services and a good beverage selection. They have good specials, like an $9.95 all-you-can-eat chicken wing lunch buffet.

oh how i love thee - wild wing cafe. i mean seriously now - what is up with the wing joints in the south - its soooo much better than the ones in san diego. legend has it that there is a wing place with over 33 flavors of wings - sides galore - and full bar on tap... well, the stories are true - and such a place exists - WILD WINGS CAFE is hands down the BEST wing place that i have ever been to - heres the shit kicker - for lunch they have an ALL YOU CAN EAT wing bar with sides and soup for $8.95.... uh - whatcha talking bout willis?!? seriously, thats insane - i did that on this particular visit and the feature sauces of the wing bar this day included some of my favorites: Bubba's BBQ, Traditional Hot and Medium, Lemon Pepper, Honey BBQ, and Cool Ranch. ALL WERE AWESOME! the wings were tender and juicy, and because its so popular, there was such a fast turnover for the wings. 5 stars for pricing, food, service and atmosphere. 1 star to the owners for not bringing this chain out of the georgia / carolina area.

We've decided that I grew up in a bubble, since I had never had wings before coming to Wild Wing Cafe. I am very sad that I've missed out on so many years of wingy goodness. My boyfriend got a big sampler with five different types of wings and they were all soooooo tasty. I also got the fajita fiesta wrap which was really good, just insanely messy. The place wasn't all that busy when we were there but it was LOUD. You're definitely coming into a sports bar atmosphere, so don't expect to have a nice quiet family dinner or date.

  • Steve O.

Hottest wings I've ever eaten. Braveheart wings hurt the first time I ate them, now I'm up to six at a time. I'm not a big fan of the bar atmosphere, but wings make it worth it. They give you a towel instead of napkins, nice touch.

We have been enjoying this establishment for well over 10 years. Every time we go there, the environment is lively and the food is consistently good. The wings (especially the jalapeño cheddar) are their best feature, but you can't go wrong with their sandwiches or wraps, either. Try the hot shots appetizer. They are like sausage and cheese balls with a side of crack.

First time to downtown Charleston, and Wild Wing Cafe started the night off right! The flavor selection of wings was impressive, and they had a lot of flavors you don't see anywhere else. Plus their 40 oz margarita was pretty tasty. And if you weren't in the mood for wings, they had plenty of other items on their menu.

    (4)
  • Brandon B.

I absolutely adore this bar/restaurant. It's always got a fun atmosphere, local live music, and solid wings. My favorite flavor is the jalapeno cheddar wings, but really I like almost all the flavors. Also if you hit it up on Wednesday nights, it's $2 vodka drinks and buy 8 wings, get 8 free! You'd be a fool to pass up this place - unless you're vegetarian. Then the options on the menu become slim and those vodka drinks look that much better ;)

in case you can't tell yet, i did a lot of drinking in charleston. i went to a place called "wild wings" and ate beer. the night before halloween featured plenty of charlestonites in costume and karaoke. not me. i don't get down like that. like the extremely large venue, the extremely large batman posters on the walls, the extremely large buckets of beer recommended by the bartender when he realized i was ordering one short of the 6 (good lookin' out), and the extremely low prices ($19 for a sammie and a bucket o' miller lights). but, as a bar, this is just a bar. it's a good bar, but not a really special/great bar. being what it is, it attracts the souther version of yah-doods who are less raucous and more charming than the northeastern version, but still a bit annoying. i actually did see 2 guys comparing their biceps here - although one of them was only about 5'4" and he did make out with two of the cutest girls in the place within about 10 minutes of each other so . . . you know . . . credit where it's due.

It was our first night in Charleston and after walking the downtown area, we hadn't a clue of where to go or what to do. Sure, there were tons of seafood places in the area but which one to go to. Then we saw this place. And really, you can't go wrong with wings, so we went with wings. And we didn't go wrong. Their wings were really good, and their drinks were even better. Good beer selection and "party pitchers" (36oz mixed drinks) were only $6. They also had a live cover band (bongo drums, saxophone, and all) that plays there every Sunday at 11pm, who have a pretty devoted local following. So we had a great time, drinking, dancing, and singing late into Monday morning with some of the local folk. The south is definitely friendly.

I love this place great, Party spot and in a place where everything closes early its a great place to eat on a drunk night. Its also a plus because alot of college chicks are here.

  • John K.

The wings were OK, but the music was loud and annoying. We went late on Monday night (MLK) and the place only had a few customers in the dining area. I went to the hostess and asked to have the music turned down. Well they turned it down and then turned it back up again. When I go to dinner I'd like to be able to have a conversation with the people I'm dining with but that was hard to do. I'm not spending my money here again.

First off, ask for Matty. She's a great waitress and easy on the eyes. The majority of the menu is under $15.00 and it's your common American food. This location is near the tourist attractions so you will definitely see a mixture of people. A great place to go for a quick bite to eat with friends and family.

We went with a group of 12 people last night and were served by Dakota-she was absolutely amazing! With a loud and sometimes difficult group, she handled herself (and us) extremely well. We were on a time limit and she was very quick with our drinks and the kitchen was very accommodating. We can't say enough good things about this place and Dakota. Thank you!!

Wild Wing Cafe is a chain sports bar place. Normally good selection of beers on tap and the menu is pretty much sports bar-ish. Burgers, sandwiches, etc. Decent food and a good place to hang out if your want to watch a game. Prices are inexpensive. This place did have a lot of TVs, but except for the bar area, all seemed poorly positioned to sit at a table and actually watch a TV for any length of time.

Yummmmmmmmy. The spinach dip is AH-MA-ZING. My "little b" sliders were perfection. Beer oh so cold too. Love this places atmosphere, staff and food. Nate Richard was my waiter and AWESOME! Everything was perfect

So I went to the Wild Wing café to get dinner, and we were put on the waiting list, so we waited. About 30 minutes later I got frustrated and went up to the desk to ask how long until I could have a seat. They had actually taken us off the list.l, so to try and make it up they sat us down at a booth quickly. Then I waited an hour for our 1 order of nachos. I suggest you not come to this place, the service is terrible.

I want to preface by saying I have had a miserable week. Lebron James won his second ring, and if that wasn't bad enough, Tim Duncan was on the losing end of the deal, a player who I grew up idolizing while he played at Wake Forest. It was almost like my entire childhood was stepped on by a bunch of bandwagon Latinos in South Beach who weren't Heat fans before Lebron embarrassed Cleveland on national television. I have decided this summer to try some of the more touristy spots in town. Most Charlestonians know that Market Street is a place where no one must go during the months of May till September, but today I put on my tie and jacket and braved the walk to this desolate area, an area that, sure enough, was full of fannypack wearing vacationers standing in line to try exotic drinks like "sweet tea." Today's choice was Wild Wings. They have Blue Moon specials. Yeah, that kind of place. We had two servers for our lunch, one was training and the other had a smart mouth who immediately insulted me for overdressing. I know she was jealous that she couldn't wear a suit. I like that. But that insult was the beginning some something much worse. The first blow to my gut was that Wild Wings no longer has tater tots. That's right, your favorite childhood snack was purposely and knowingly removed from the menu without any regard for the children like me who eat there. And the restaurant did not even offer to compensate with the equally delicious sweet potato fries. No, I won't pay extra for something we should all be able to enjoy without unwanted fees! Second, the wings are not hot enough. I ordered the Habanero Hot, but you may as well call it the Habanero Chill. I like my wings to make me cry and remind me the morning after just how hot they were when I use the toilet. Instead, it was like eating a slushy at Wendy's where the employee ate straight from the machine. Third, the takeout material is the worst. Plastic cups in this heat? If you are lucky enough that the cup doesn't melt when you walk outside, you're guaranteed to have your drink sweat into oblivion. Why doesn't Wild Wings want you to leave with a good taste (literally) in your mouth? I give Wild Wings 2 stars because of the 3 strikes against it, and because in the restaurant game, it's 5 strikes and you're out, not 3. The only redeeming quality was our server and the celery. It's great for digestive tract! Thanks, Haley, I really do appreciate you fighting back. I can be a handful. And thanks for the plate of celery.

Hungry on a Wednesday afternoon after sightseeing & shopping, asked a local where to get a burger and beverage... So they suggested Wild Wing Cafe. Great suggestion! Basically a sports bar, and Mallory (our waitress) was great and very attentive. Burger was pretty good, nice and thick, cooked as requested (medium was medium). Wings sampler was tasty, not small, plenty of meat. Beverages served Cold.... I would recommend this for all...

Ok, so I know it's a chain, but I actually had a really good meal here last night. Lily H and I split an order of 6 wings (honey lime sriracha) and 6 boneless wings (ranchilada), and they were delicious. I was surprised by how much I liked the honey lime sriracha sauce because I don't typically like sriracha, but it was tangy and spicy and sweet all at the same time. The boneless wings were nice and crispy and the ranchilada sauce was yummy even though it didn't really taste like I expected it to taste (I really thought it was going to be... ranchier? idk). We also split an order of the Steel Town Spuds with tater tots. They were good, but a little dry. I would've liked a little more ranch drizzled on there, but I made do. We decided that we hadn't had enough fried food, so we also split the Super Snacker Sampler, which came with chips, mozz sticks, their delicious "hot shots" sausage and cheese fritters, buffalo chicken rolls, and loaded potato skins. It was enough food for 3 people. My favorites were the hot shots and the buffalo chicken rolls because they were the most unique things on the plate. The loaded potato skins were a bit dry, but omg, they were huge. Anyway, if you're on the market and craving wings and typical bar food, I'd definitely recommend Wild Wing.

Food was good. I got the Wild West wings on recommendation and they had a good flavor. My husband got the lemon pepper and they were just a little spicy which was perfect for him. This place had a ton of sauces for any kind of flavor your in the mood for. The service was great too. I liked they had a mini order of wings bc 6 was the perfect amount.

Nice place. Really cool laid-back atmosphere. The waiter was also friendly. I tried their Bubba's BBQ flavored wings and thought they were very good. I also tried their Drunken Shrimp appetizer, and didn't like it much. Next time I come here, I'll remember to just get wings.

Based on some of the reviews we weren't too sure what to expect coming here but it was great . There was a lil hold up to be seated but no longer than a few minutes . We were served right away and it was buy 10 wings get 10 free on Wednesdays 5-9pm, you can't beat that . So many flavors to chose from . Ginger is my favorite!! We will definitely be back !

I didn't get the wings - and I am a total wings girl. BUT was in burger mode - and the "happy hour" special just happened to be 50% off build your own burger - YES - that's a good thing. I built a burger with blue cheese - nothing fancy but asked to make it extra blue chees-ie. She brought out a side and charged me for a side. That's chees-ie! Really? I hate that - I was a server and you don't have to do that... or at least tell me. It's only 75 cents but still - communicate. Don't just act like "sure, that's cool." The burger was ok - not juicy and the blue cheese wasn't very blue. So, its a good place to get out of the heat and eat. I bet the wings are better - they had like 34 or more sauces! Kids menu is pretty extensive with options and reasonably priced (under $5) which includes a drink.

Girlfriend and myself went here on the Fourth of July and at first the service was good but as it filled up it continually got worse. We started with an appetizer which was good and then got the old smokey and flaming Parmesan wings. The food was good but you could get it at any wing joint. Would not recommend going during busy hours. 2.5 stars outta 5

Wandering around Charleston with a group, we decided we be hungry. After checking out a few menus, we decided to give Wild Wing a shot - and what a GREAT decision! First things first. Stella on tap. DAMN. And not your little wimpy 12 oz glass - no sirree, you be in the South - 22 oz! On to the meals. Clearly, this is a wings joint. That said, they offer a pretty full menu - salads (chosen by the wife), burgers (chosen by the teens), fish (chosen by a few wives) and wings. And ohhhhh what wing sauce choices you have! At LEAST thirty, ranging from no-heat (garlic...mmmMMMMMmmm) non-heat (chipotle) to medium to fire in the hole (ghost pepper, anyone?). The wings were cooked perfectly - definitely a hit. The rest of the meals were scarfed, so I'd say the place passed muster. Oh...and the young lady serving us was simply awesome. Gotta give this place a serious thumbs up. Serious.

Pretty good place for your above typical bar food on a street crawling with tourist traps. On our recent trip we walked past and looked at the menu and thought why not try it. The food was quite good, the service could have been a bit better, but we came on a sunday night so it could be do to the fact it was a long day with Football stuff on TV. To be honest i thought the wings them selves were better then the national food chains, Wild wing offers a ton of flavors I opted for the medium not knowing how hot they were, and i'm not a heat guy at all but these were very tame but quite good.I truthfully cannot remember the other flavor so it's obviously not to memroable but i enjoyed my meal.

Surprisingly fun time despite my chain-snob attitude coming in. Great sliders (sloppy joe's and pulled pork), and amazing live music by headliner of the night Darry miller & The Veil. Although I'm pretty sure all the waitresses running around were at most 15 (good or bad thing depending on how you see it..).

Came in late on a Thursday, pretty dead. The service was good. Wings were great, had the Asian BBQ and garlic flavor with fries. The staff was a little turnt but nothing to wild. The bartender told my fiancee not too roofie her drink, I guess it was supposed to be funny.

We stopped for a late evening bite. My wife ordered a southwest salad, but the wrong salad was delivered. Our server promised a quick turn-around, but it took almost a half hour and several inquires before it came out of the kitchen. Even then it did not have the mix of greens listed. The server agreed to remove it from the check. As she presented the check, the manager finally came to the table draping himself all over the server. Very inappropriate! We felt bad that this server had such a JERK for a manager.

what i ate: bufferella with fries this is what i have eaten every time i have been to wild wings (along with wings of course). which has been many many times since i was introduced to wild wings back when i was in college at UGA in athens, ga. the bufferella is basically a spicy chicken wrap with fried chicken dipped in wing sauce, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and ranch dressing. i make some modifications to the bufferella including getting gold rush sauce (instead of medium) and blue cheese (instead of ranch). also i always choose the wedge fries as the side option (i mean seriously who chooses celery over fries) and get extra gold rush sauce on the side. man i love this place. the one in athens, ga sadly isnt around anymore (and i dont live there anymore anyway) but whenever i am down south and in the vicinity of one, i will go out of my way to get my bufferella fix!

Gotta love wild wings. Don't expect a gourmet meal, but they have a large selection of flavors for their chicken wings and wraps and its a great place to watch a game or a fight. Favorite wing flavors are red dragon and the goldrush. All around a solid wing place.

Another high class sports bar in North Charleston who does not understand that MLB Playoffs are on and should be watched. When I asked to watch a game I was told it was a football day. This flabbergasted me considering they had few customers and numerous TVs showing the same game. The day before the food was fair but hurt a lot on the way out.

My parents and I were in Charleston for a few days and I was in the mood for wings so we stopped by. Our hostess was a bit younger and looked confused, so I'm sure she had just recently started. That's ok though because she cleaned off a booth just for us, so kudos for that. Our waitress was sweet and attentive. We ordered the party platter which was 25 wings and 5 flavors. They were delicious. Lemon pepper, loco bueno (lime and cilantro), something copper (honey BBQ), medium, and red hot blue (hot with infused blue cheese flavor). I loved all of them. Queso dip was great and so were the onion rings. There was only one guy bringing out all the plates while the girls took orders. He was quick and some real eye candy. The restaurant was clean too which is always important. The only downside was that the waitress asked if I wanted a box for my fries and left over wings and I said yes. She came and took the plates so I thought she was gonna put them in the box for me. Nope... She took the food away. Would I return? Definitely.

You gotta love the wing flavors here. There's a ton to chose from ranging from hot to not, from eastern flavor to western flavor, and all the in-betweens. They can also put your flavor choice on a few items on their menu which is nice. Don't want chicken wings? Try a flavor on their grilled skewers. I dont think I'd really classify this place as a sports bar though. We tried this place for the Superbowl and it was actually pretty slow. Some tvs weren't even playing the game (The HORROR!!!!). I guess I've just been spoiled by places like Buffalo Wild Wings. Anyways the service was fine. Despite that I'd still come for the wings and the large selection of sauces! Yum!

Good solid bar food. Wings were tasty. Mini-sliders were good too. Service was so-so... It was also incredibly hot in the restaurant. Granted this is Charleston in the summer but a break from the heat would have been welcomed. We didn't have to wait long for a table either.

So I visited this place with my family while I was on vacation. This is the one place in Charleston I wish we had in Tacoma. I had the Bacon Egg and Cheeseburger. It was the best damn burger I've ever had. The patty itself was damn near an inch thick, and it was so well seasoned. The bun was firm yet soft. This was the first burger I've ever had with egg on it. That really set it over the top. The fries were krinkle cut....... I think. I just wish I had the chance to go back. I can't stop thinking about that burger!!! I may never find one as good as it.

Yum!

I think the reviews might be a little bit inflated or people must have gone to a different restaurant than I did last week. I came here promised via a recommendation that these were the "best wings ever". Sorry but I have to admit that I have a hard time agreeing. The sauces were decent but nothing worth craving. And the food's temperature wasn't very hot when it was served, making me to believe that our giant wing order sat waiting for a little while to be delivered. I'll give them props for the vast amount of sauce choices and the prices aren't bad either. But I still left disappointed.

We made a reservation for Saturday the 13th for day four and the 4th event for our reunion of the USS NARWHAL SSN671. The manager set this up with me and from that day till two weeks later when I paid the bill it could no have gone any smoother! All the guests were treated like royalty. Everyone was thrilled with the service. As the spokesman for our group I would like to thank every person that works at this location for our service and the food which was top of the line!

What can I say other than everything was perfect. We had just walked out of a restaurant a few doors down because we never got served. We were happy to find Wild Wings so close. We were seated right away and food was fast. Food was excellent and the server was even better than that. The wild wings were delicious and the ol' Smokey sauce very great. I have nothing bad to say. All I can do is rave.

So, to be honest, I didn't eat any wings at this place. I did however, listen to one of the most randomly awful Jamaican cover bands (awful in a "I can't stop people watching the crowd for this band, but the music is giving me a headache" sort of way) and drank a few cocktails. The crowd at Wild Wing Cafe was amazing....older folks in suits, young super drunk girls grinding on boys wearing cut-off t-shirts, and college folks looking for gigantic drinks and music. Overall, an interesting way to spend a few hours while sipping a few decent mixed drinks.

Hottest wings I've ever eaten. Braveheart wings hurt the first time I ate them, now I'm up to six at a time. I'm not a big fan of the bar atmosphere, but wings make it worth it. They give you a towel instead of napkins, nice touch.
