If you need kosher catering in Charleston, definitely check out Marcie. For my family's reunion of sorts, she made us delicious salads - tuna & egg salad. Both very good. Her kosher parve carrot birthday cake was over the top excellent! Everyone loved it. Marcie was so easy to work with (long distance) and everything was yummy.

We recently hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Rice Mill House, which was catered by Good Food catering. The food was fantastic (our guests are talking about how amazing the food was - much better than our wedding food at Lowndes Grove), the service was amazing and I would definitely recommend hosting events with these folks. They are professional, flexible and excellent to work with.

Have eaten here many many times. The lunch rush is pretty heavy from local business people but the staff move people through very fast, while still being friendly and personable.

So much fun! Haven't been here in a while and I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and laid out well. Everyone was so nice to us. The equipment worked well and everything was maintained while we were there. Someone was wiping down games. The restroom were so very clean! Sometimes at a kid arcade you can get scared in a restroom but it smelled good and was so clean. Had a pizza for lunch and it was delicious! Go figure. Well done Chuck E Cheese we will be back!

I stopped in here to get several subs for our family. I was in and out of my car in ten minutes... so happy to get such fast service and everything was exactly the way everyone wanted. This location has a large dining area. And a drive thru! Sadly, it is hidden away off of Glenn McConnell (hidden behind the doctor and Sonic) and honestly, the only way I knew it was here is because I saw it on Yelp. A sign on Glenn McConnell would probably help them a lot.

Hannibal’s Kitchen

16 Blake St
Charleston, 29403
Reviews:
We had a late lunch at Hannibal's today, and it was overall a very pleasant experience. It is off the beaten path, and I suppose the neighborhood might steer away some potential patrons, but that would be their loss. We were obviously tourists, but we were treated like regulars by the friendly staff and diners. Plusses include the fried chicken, the hoppin' john, mac and cheese and the taste of the ribs. The big negative was that the ribs were only at room temperature - maybe sitting out while the chicken was being fried? I had a good conversation with a patron sitting near the cash register, and he asked how we found the restaurant, and gave kudos to Yelp.
Yep, the food was great! The lady that helped us was delightful!! And the food choices interesting! Not a sweet guy, but theirs was just right. If your looking for fancy insides, well not, BUT a welcoming place, comfortable seats, Great food with good prices give this place to go!! It was a nice place!
Do not leave without trying the coconut custard pie with ganach! Pina colada meets almond joy but fresh and way better. The service, food and sweet tea were excellent.

Faculty Lounge

391 Huger St
Charleston, 29403
Reviews:
There really isn't anywhere quite like this in Charleston. Divey, laid-back super fun dance party. Not "sceney" as some places with dancing can be. It is definitely in the hood and might be hard to find if you didn't know where to look....but as Scotty C. said, I didn't feel unsafe. It's not like the south side of Chicago or anything. Dancing, good drafts and Campari. My hubby was with me so with that, I had everything I needed for an awesome Friday night. I did not want to go home. Not everyone had all they needed though - mad B.O. on the dance floor. Just sayin.
This gets every inch of five stars. Amazing staff, amazing drinks and décor, amazing happy hour. I can't get enough. It's definitely out of the way, but worth seeking out. This place can be pretty packed Friday nights, but other than that it is super comfortable and welcoming. Check them out for happy hour and enjoy expertly crafted cocktails for only $5.
Would never have found this place if it wasn't for being invited to an after party. It isn't in the best part of town but I didn't feel unsafe in any way. Charleston's mean streets are not the same as the mean streets of NY, Boston, DC etc... It's tough to find disguised as a house on a residential street. There's no sign, just a spotlight on the #391 on the building. Walk up to the locked door and ring the doorbell. This is a private club which means members only, but you can easily buy a membership for $1. This is just a loophole through the local laws about bars having to serve food - which Faculty Lounge does not. All that being aside, this is a great hipster-style dive bar with a very friendly and welcoming staff. Set up like a long hallway, the place is larger than expected. At the end of the bar was a DJ spinning and a decent sized dance floor. Then in the back towards the bathrooms... another huge room filled with video games and a pool table. After chatting up the bartender I got a little history about the place. Apparently it's been open for over 30 years and used to be a very exclusive club welcoming the likes of a young Michael Jordan as well as Janet Jackson. You may think she's fibbing but they have an old photo album of optical proof.
