This is one of my favorite after hours place to go. There's always something for everyone if not just to sober up after a long night out. The food is definitely late night mainstay but like I said after drinking I need something fatty and greasy. There's a reason everyone goes here late at night. I wish there were more options for after-hour locations but I'm totally ok with coming here.

Went here the other morning. Place was slammed but the crew worked well together and got people seated quickly. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Food was made to order and was delicious. Our meal was one of the top three waffle house meals of all time. We'll definitely be going back to this location. Thanks team!!

I want to like Waffle House. I really do. There's something so satisfying about diner food, right? This Waffle House left a lot to be desired. When we walked in, every single unoccupied table was dirty. They cleaned one off and we sat down. We wanted to see a menu and had to ask twice before getting them. While we looked them over, our server stood there staring at us. It was very uncomfortable. We ordered, and she brought back our drinks. It was at least 5 minutes before we could get someone's attention to get straws. While our food was cooking, I noticed how dirty this store was. There were bits of food and trash on the floor and the kitchen didn't look like it gets cleaned often. During this while time, our server just stood off to the side of the kitchen, staring at her order pad. Another woman brought over a plate of food for my husband. Several minutes later, my daughter's waffle came out. I heard the staff discussing my food, which still hadn't been made. My sandwich eventually came out, but the hashbrowns were wrong. They took my whole plate back, asking if I wanted my grilled onions cooked or not. Um, yes. Yes I do. My plate was finally fixed, but my husband was still missing his bacon. The only thing that saved the trip was the sandwich. My bacon, egg and cheese was decent. Not great, but ya know. The hash would have been good if they put more topping on them. I had ordered onions and sausage gravy on them, and you'd never know they were there by the taste. Like I said, I want to like this place. I go in with low expectations (it's a low end diner!) but Waffle House still manages to disappoint me.

The food here is Waffle House quality and Waffle House prices, so it's hard to really rate or review that, but the service was really good. The waitresses are sweet and I can imagine they have to deal with lots of drama since it's a 24-7 restaurant and located next to a seedy motel. I only go to Waffle House during the day, when I want a late breakfast or breakfast-for-lunch, so I didn't feel unsafe here, but it's not the kind of establishment I'd frequent at night. The chocolate chip waffle is diabetes on a plate, so if you want to try it, order it to split with someone as a dessert. Seriously. This location is really convenient to I-526, and you can make a right turn out of the establishment to get on the highway (Don't even try to make a left turn...). There is also a big bush so you can't see the traffic coming from that direction. I really wish they would prune or remove that bush...

My family and I had breakfast here earlier today. All four of us agreed that our meals were incredibly good. Whether it was our variously served styles of eggs, bacon or sausage, our three waffles including mine with added pecans and strawberries, grits, or raisin or wheat toast, everything was picture perfect. Our waiter was really courteous and went the extra mile for us. When my sister asked if they had any two ounce syrup containers to help her limit her sugar intake, he replied unfortunately not. A few minutes later though, he came back to our table with a small container of syrup that he had precisely filled with a measuring spoon. All of the employees seemed really nice and got along with each very well. The cooks were definitely on their A+ game. My sister mentioned during our meal that Waffle House actually started in Georgia sixty years ago so it's really cool that one of my all time favorite fast food restaurants is a southern one.

I was out on a walk for food and the Waffle House caught my eye so I looked it up on Yelp and against the limited reviews decided to give this place a try. Charleston's yelp game is not the greatest and there is only a limited amount of reviews for even the best places. I stopped in and the employees were busy cleaning and I figured their lack of greetings meant that I just sat myself. After a minute a waitress came out and asked if I wanted something to drink. So far so good I thought. I was here in the afternoon so I decided to skip the waffles. I got a bacon burger and hash browns(because they don't do fries). As a burger lover I must say this place is adequate. This isn't the place I would take someone to show off Charleston's burger scene. This is just decent enough that I have no problem going back later when I need something quick. The staff was not overly nice or anything so that may be more off putting to people in the south. The service was quick and I didn't feel ignored so that was fine with me. The place is clean and the décor includes lists of their rules on the wall. I will come back to try their waffles and see if this place lives up to the namesake. Also, their hash brown game is way more on point then any place in California. Way more the just Smothered and Covered as options. Chunked, Capped, Topped and more.

At 2:30 in the afternoon they did not have ice tea and announced I must hurry as they were about to get their floors done. Seems midnight to 5am would be good??? Baby roaches visited me at the table the other day. Seems I made Flo angry one day and now she won't even look me in the eye. From super friendly to stone cold. Flo gives other waitresses her table if I sit there. I spoke with manager but it continues and has made it awkward. Meagan, Skyla, Ebony to name a few are AWSOME. The bottoms of all coolers at all restaurants are fraught with nasty bacteria. Having mentioned this to management that one should not take containers from cooler to food handling surfaces, seems to have fallen on deaf ears. They cut sandwiches and twist on those wooden porous boards. I say stay away.

Waffle House is a great place for a cheap meal and decent quality. I love coming in and watching the surroundings. Always fun to talk to the servers. Can't beat the price for this California girl. We usually tip 100% because we appreciate the service. Hash browns are awesome and they know how to cook a egg over easy. Love the $5 menu that includes a orange juice!

Been sitting here for ten minutes. Was not even addressed when I walked in. One server, Diane,? was checking texts on her phone while I was sitting there being ignored. In fact, she is doing it again as I write this. The place is busy, but they certainly act like they don't know it. They seem very uninterested in customers.

Had a great waiter who was super attentive and overly sweet.... The sweet tea is always good and my pecan waffle was perfect! Grits, we started off wrong but now, I love you mixed with my scrambled eggs, butter, a little sugar, salt and pepper!!!! Cannot go wrong with the All-Star breakfast!

A 100 yard tall phallus proudly proclaims "WAFFLE HOUSE" at its head, luring motorists passing on the freeway. And me. Breakfast for $6.35. The menu makes the waffles look as huge as the plate. And they are, the size of the plate that is, but the plate is not huge. My pecan waffle sounded good at the time but was limp and not cooked all the way through. The only good thing going on here: the pecans. My egg over medium was perfectly done. But where's the Southern hospitality? I was barely greeted when I walked in, no one behind the counter smiled the ENTIRE time I was there. Maybe it's because they were tripping over each other; there were seven employees working for the 11 customers in the place. I usually enjoy sitting at a counter, watching the goings-on in the open kitchen. But not when the goings-on include discussion of how nasty the containers are that they put their waffle batter in. But hey, it doesn't violate the terms of the "Profanity of any type will not be tolerated at any time" sign, so I guess anything goes. A charming piece of americana, without the charm. Or the americana, actually. You get what you pay for.
