we don't have Waffles Houses up north so going to a Waffle House is a treat. Say you tied-one-on the night before and you are looking to shake off the cob webs...just order this magic cure: Double waffle, two TEXAS biscuits & sausage gravy, and a large cola. problem solved and you're ready for the beach...

Travelling from CA this was our first Waffle House visit in the South. Half of our group of 8 were vegetarians and choises were very few. This particular location was sort of dirty and cleanliness was to a minimum. Only one of the waitress was attentive and very respectful of us. The rest were lazy and just talking to each other and laughing and talking on the phone. I ordered the 2 eggs waffle dish and it was okay. It seemed a bit pricer for the quanitity and the quality. If you have never been to a WH I think you should try a different location and not the almost ghetto one here.

Service was on point, sweet lady. The hash browns were life changing and I would recommend them to almost anyone. All in all, very enjoyable experience

I'm gonna go against everyone and give this Waffle House 5 stars! Yeah, yeah...it's Waffle House, but I've been to some pretty bad Waffle Houses. I've honestly never had a bad experience here be it 2:30 in the morning or picking up a grilled chicken sandwich for dinner. (Which by the way is one of the best chicken sandwiches around! Tip: Add bacon and cheese.) The staff is excellent and they handle the "I just need $.35 to get some gas to get to the next town" kind of thing well. They also put up with a lot of stupid drunk people and do it with smiles on their faces. So if you're downtown late night and get the munchies...it's just a quick trip over the bridge and they will take care of you. (Please let a DD drive if it's a get food after a night of drinking!)

I am a frequent Waffle House customer. I usually enjoy going for cheap quick breakfast. Today I went with 2 of my girlfriends and we waited for at least 10 minutes before we got service and whenever we finally got service (Jackie) was our server and she was so rude. I nicely asked her to wipe off the table and she yelled at me saying I should have asked before. Which I had no chance to do so. The whole meal she had an attitude and was very rude. I would have rather tipped the cook who did more than our actual server. I understand having a bad day but that is no excuse to take it out on a customer. I will not be eating at this location again.

After hitting up Downtown, food sounded good. Friends decided to go here. This place was a bit sketchy. People loitering outside. As I was entering, I heard a couple people say, "It's about to go down." And they were referring to my friends and I who were trying to get some food and not start trouble. There was one cook and our waitress told us that it may take a bit for our food to come out. That's totally fine. Food is good. Can't complain about service since there was maybe two waitresses total. Again, leaving the place, there were sketchy people loitering outside. One lady said she was assaulted by her husband and needed some money to get to Savannah. She then took off in a truck and went northbound. Isn't Savannah south of Charleston?

I mean, one goes to Waffle House expecting Waffle House food, so I'm not going to speak to the food. It was hot, and made at Waffle House and booze likes to party with Waffle House food in my belly. I went in the middle of the night with my buddy, as one does. Our service was exceptional. I mean, I've had worse service at very nice restaurants. Glasses never emptied and coffee never cooled off. The staff seemed to be friendly with everyone and each other. Just a good vibe. I dare you to get the hash browns all the way. That's with everything. You will feel horrible, but you probably should. P.S. WH has a decent burger, too.

This is my favorite Waffle House location. The staff is friendly and there is rarely a wait for a table. I hold a special place in my heart for this corporate chain of breakfast mecas. They may not be pushing into new culinary frontiers, but a $6.99 all-star breakfast never fails to disappoint. Nomz all around.

Worst customer service ever. Rude. Incapable. Out waitress was great, but her co workers: obnoxious, unprofessional, lazy, and simply rude

The service was great! Had the AllStar breakfast that looked like too much to eat in one sitting but, yep, I ate all of it. Perfectly cooked eggs with waffle, hash browns, and toast. We went on Sunday morning and the staff was as friendly as I have ever seen it. It really was a great experience for my wife and I. Will be back on another Sunday morning and hope the staff is as pleasant as they were this morning.

Disclaimer: I'm torn about giving an establishment like Waffle House 4 stars because it's well... Waffle House but, the customer service experience I had there was unbelievably amazing. This review doesn't really dabble in eats but more so the staff who all deserved a raise for putting up with peoples shit or at least a high five. Here we go! Whoa! Shit got crazy at Waffle House last weekend. Went out to celebrate a friends new good fortune and ended the night by taxiing to Waffle House at 2:30 in the morn. I don't know why you'd go to Waffle House at any other time. The Taxi driver knew one of my cohorts so he came in to join us for 4th meal and even took us home after... 5 stars! Now back to the insanity... So we're having a regular old Waffle House experience aside from the fact that our waitress is already being a huge sweetheart, when from behind us, we hear this crashing sound. Sitting at the bar, we were facing the grill, when a guy standing outside the restaurant decided to smash the window behind us out for no apparent reason. Glass came crashing down onto the table behind us where two guys happened to be eating. Luckily nobody was hurt. This was a big window and glass was everywhere. Then the guy just stood there looking at everyone freaking out for about 20 seconds while he smoked his cigarette and then just walked to his car and drove away. Fortunately, someone got his plate number and the police came to take a report. Not sure if they caught the guy or not but, hopefully they did. This is when I became extremely impressed with the staff. Even with all the chaos going on, they kept cool all the while (I'm sure they've had a ton of practice). They cleared everyone away from the glass and comped the guys meals without question. My meal was just set down on the bar and they went ahead and remade the entire plate just in case glass eating... you know. None of the servers missed a beat. Most restaurants would close down for a week because of a situation like this taking place and clear everyone out of there. Not Waffle House. They kept on trucking and had the window fixed by the following morning. (Check out the pics too!)
