My wife Karie and I got married at Seabrook Island on 5/9/15 and spent the first three nights of our honeymoon here. We didn't get in until a little late that night and Blanch was so sweet and waited for us to arrive and let us in. She gave us a quick little late night tour while I was still in my tuxedo and Karie in her wedding dress. We stayed all the way on the top floor and would not have changed a thing. Karie and I visited Charleston together about two years prior and could only imagine how elegant and accommodating this B&B was so it was only fitting that we spend part of our honeymoon here. Our first morning we went down to sit on the big, beautiful front porch to relax and enjoy the sights. Clarice brought us a homemade breakfast and fresh coffee, it was absolutely delightful! If you're thinking of booking a few nights here, don't think twice! We will never forget this experience and will surely come back for future anniversaries and/or other special events.

Absolutely beautiful! Stayed there as a surprise for my then girlfriend's birthday who is now my wife. The following description of the Inn was found on their website: "In the center of the historic district overlooking prestigious South Battery, this turreted Queen Anne was built as a wedding gift from a father to his daughter. It is one of the area's oldest bed & breakfast inns, offering Southern hospitality and a romantic heritage. Tiffany stained-glass windows, crystal chandeliers and English oak woodwork are accented by fresh flowers, Oriental rugs and family heirlooms. Traditional antiques furnish the elegant guest bedrooms. Enjoy a deluxe continental breakfast in the courtyard or oval dining room. The famous arched piazza features rockers that invite relaxation while gazing beyond the century-old live oaks to the harbor. Low country afternoon tea is served with sherry and regional delicacies." We stayed on a weekend in the summer so it was expensive ($200+/night) but well worth it. A great place to experience with your significant other. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at the Two Meeting Street Inn on a week night in June. It was wonderful. Upon our arrival we were invited to sit and enjoy a glass of lemonade as we were checked in. The great service and hospitality continued through to afternoon tea, evening arrangements for dinner and a pedi cab (bike taxi) and to breakfast the next morning. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch in the morning and having a glass of wine in the parlor before we left for diner. A bit of pampering was just what we were looking for!

We stayed at 2 Meeting Street Inn on a Tuesday and Wednesday in the last week in July. I was a little nervous after reading the previous reviews. We had a fantastic stay. There was a last minute, mid-week summer special that was significantly lower the than the standard rate. We stayed in the Roberts Room on the 3rd Floor. The room was beautiful with a queen sized bed, a rocking chair, tv, closet, bathrobes and private bath. The bath is just outside the bedroom and the innkeepers have it set up that you can hook the bathroom and bedroom doors together to make your own screened halllway. We never felt like it interfered with our enjoyment. The bathroom only had a clawfoot tub but it added rather than detracted from the charm. My husband had just had surgery on his eye and wouldn't have been able to shower anyway;). The breakfasts were yummy. Earlier posts spoke about the small breakfasts. Not anymore! The Inn serves full breakfast. The first morning we had a sausage and cornmeal caserole with fresh fruit and the second day we had Bruleed French Toast with Bacon and fresh fruit. The Inn also served Afternoon Tea from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with Mango Iced Tea, lemonade, hot tea, savories such as tuscan cheese spread, curry dip, or Parmesan cookies as well as sweets like orange pecan tea bread and chocolate lava cookies. We never had trouble finding a close parking spot on the Battery. The Innkeepers went out of their way to help us by making dinner reservations and even loaning me a charger for my phone after mine was misplaced during the trip. All in all we spent a charming couple of days enjoying the hospitality and uniqueness of the romantic1890's Inn within walking distance of all the sights and right on the waterfront.

I stayed in The Roberts Room as a solo traveler in October. October is a lovely time to visit Charleston, and Two Meeting Street Inn is one of the loveliest places to stay, which is no small feat considering the variety of accommodations available. Right across the street from White Point Gardens, it was so nice to be able to find a free overnight parking spot, as I am used to paying $20+/night for valet or garages when I have stayed elsewhere in town. The Roberts Room was very cozy with a lovely little window seat. The door to the bathroom is right next to the door to the bedroom, but when the two doors are open they can be latched together. The bathroom was absolutely adorable, situated under the eaves. I could have spent my entire stay luxuriating in the beautiful clawfoot tub. There is a handheld attachment, but if you need a full shower, you are better off booking a different room. Remember that this is a beautiful old home and does not have an elevator, so if you have an issue with stairs, book a room on a lower floor. The staff will deliver your bags to your room, of course. The service was amazing. I was greeted warmly and given a tour and information about the home. The afternoon tea was delicious, and the sherry available in the dining room was a nice touch. Sitting at one of the garden tables with some sherry and a book, or enjoying breakfast on the porch with a view of the battery, is something that every visitor to Charleston should experience.
