Need an afternoon pick me up? Sojourn is your place. Very relaxed atmosphere with the friendliest staff you could ever hope to interact with! They have got Southern hospitality down to a science! I had to have a Chocolate chip cookie, because it just came out of the oven, and while I wish their iced coffee was stronger, the overall experience was a solid one!

Great lattes. Great staff. Great oatmeal macadamia salted caramel chocolate bars. Nice place to sit and do work or read.

Looking for a quiet place to read a book and sip a latte while my daughter roamed the mall down the road. Sojourn hit the spot - drink made with care, a nice lemon scone, good music in the background, a comfy chair and nice people.

This locally owned coffee shop is a relaxing place to go to have your favorite coffee or tea and a sandwich or pastry. The food is homemade and not frozen and shipped in like other popular places. They also have free Wifi. The owners are always nice. Their staff also will come to your table to clear any dishes and ask how everything is.

I love to run in here for lunch - the quiche is the best in town. The service is always excellent. All food is homemade! The coffee is yummy - much better than the big chain places. I highly recommend!

Ordinary coffee shop in an old strip mall which seems to be mostly populated by old women. Service is friendly, otherwise unremarkable.

I come here a LOT! Definitely the best coffee shop in Charleston! The owners, Walter and Carmen, are great, friendly people who have really created a following in West Ashley. There is always a mix of people here from the regulars to someone new finding the place for the first time. The offerings for breakfast and lunch are sooo much better than the chain places. If you like quiche, soup or sandwiches, it is a great stop for lunch. The coffee is certainly, without question, far superior to the chain stuff.

Always looking for independently-owned coffee shops near by. The folks here were very nice, and the place it clean and cute. I couldn't stay to check it out, but I would definitely come back with a book sometime. Four stars and not five because of a leaky to-go cup.

My wife and I have been here on several occasions this year. The first time we were here was during a Coffee Meetup. We also located a geocache very close to this location which made it convenient to stop by for a cup of joe. The coffee shop is in an awkward location but once you find it the first or second time then it is easy to find. The coffee shop seats approximately 25 to 30 people comfortably. The owners are very personable and the coffee and pastries are very tasty. The establishment also provides their customers with free WiFi and since we love to live on the Internet and drink coffee this is right up our alley. We are glad this place is here.

This is my new caffeine stop on the way to work. It's perfect and I like that it's local. The location is not glamorous or trendy, and I love this. It's coffee, do we need everything to be so hip, current and central? No please. The people here are so sweet and welcoming, and there are plenty of tables; room to stay a while if you so desire. I'm typically a black coffee kinda gal, but on occasion I'll splurge on a cafe au lait with soy milk. Both of these, as well as the friendly service will keep me coming back for more. And just a quick note, I have been feeling since I've moved here that coffee shops in Charleston are so few and far between - I came from Austin, where coffee shops are literally on top of each other - so I just appreciate that Sojourn exists, really!!

I discovered this great place today. So much better than Starbucks, DD, etc. I would much rather spend my dollars at a local establishment. Anyway, service is friendly, atmosphere is clean and relaxing, really quite comfortable. My coffee was delicious. They serve pastries and sandwiches and although I didn't eat, it must be good as I overheard several other patrons raving. Great place to visit and relax. I will definitely be back...soon!

Great coffee. Very kind people. If you visit, don't expect to run in and run out. Sojourn Coffee gives off a nice family feel and you will sometimes see the owners/staff/employees sitting down to chat with some of the customers to see how their day is going. If you want a nice place to relax and maybe get some school work done, this could be your spot.

Honestly the best coffee I have found in Charleston. Great breakfast & lunch spot also!

This is not your typical coffee shop. It is rough and rugged with strange art work and photography and decor that just gives you that feel of the 60's. This coffee shop is very clean, very modernized and extremely comfortable and friendly. Whether you want a table or a leather seat with windows all around giving a fresh and well lit area. This is a great modern coffee shop. Thumbs up... PS. The staff is really really friendly.

I really love this little joint... Every time im in town I stop by here. The coffee is great, their breakfast sandwich even better. The owner remembers me every time even though I haven't been here since last Christmas! Now that's customer service!

You know how it is. It's always fun to find a small, local, fresh place where the food and coffee is fresh and good. And, the people who run it are nice. Sojourn is just such a place.
