Did I have the time of my life at Midtown Grill - Yes. Does it have kickass live music - Yes. Does it allow a 30-year-old to request Blink 182 "What's My Age Again", jump up and down sweating through his shirt, drinking copious amounts of beer, while dancing with girls at least five years younger - YES. If you are in town with buddies and want to pretend it is 2005, Midtown Grill will oblige.

Great atmosphere and set up for watching multiple games at one time. Good selection of bar food, especially the wings. The staff recommends their pizzas, but we didn't go that way. The directions on Yelp are wrong. They have you about 10 blocks away. Head for the intersection of King and Morris.

The best nightlife spot that I went to in Charleston. This place has it all, solid beer, live music venue with kick-butt music, the night I went was old school soul, some of the most fun I had dancing in any place in a very long while. Outdoor section too with another bar and more of a chill lounge vibe while in the beautiful night time weather. It was like a perfect mix of everything, if this place was in philly I would easily be there number one regular. Went in the morning as well on St. paddy's day, the food is ama-za-zing as well, this is truly the first place that I feel like giving it 5 stars is still a slap in the face, it deserves ten. I was so sad when I left Charleston, but now I have a major reason to go back, this place is like a drug to me, and soon I will need my fix.

Never ate here, but really fun bar at night. They recently tore down the wall between midtown and the building next to it so its bigger and better. In total there are three bars to get a drink (two inside and one outside) and live music. The porch outback has a bat and tables in case the inside gets too hot!

Midtown Grill is the perfect addition to the new scene on Upper King. Great food, great hours... open till 2:00 AM! and a fun low-key environment that everyone will enjoy! Be sure to check out the back patio, perfect for warm summer nights or a cool lowcountry evening with friends! Chef James' food is incredible, try the boiled peanut hummus! A must do for locals and tourists alike!

Husband and I decided to do a little bar hopping on King Street for our first night in Charleston. After visiting a not-so-friendly bar, we came into Midtown to check it out. Fun place for young groups of friends. The interior is simple/casual. Just a chill place to grab a drink (or two) mingle and hang out. Dress code is casual. I make a point to say this because a lot of the other bars on King Street seemed more "dresscode enforced" and having been driving all day, we did not dress to impress that night. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, it's just the vibe I got while peeking into some of them. Unfortunately I was not able to get the name of our bartender here but he was really nice and took the time to make a drink I had requested called California Liquid Cocaine. Would come back again with a bigger group next time we're in town.

Blink and you will miss this great little place on Upper King Street. This cozy restaurant with a very friendly staff, live music, air conditioning and outdoor seating is a great place for a beer, burger or mojito. Every Tuesday is half price burgers. In fact every night is some special. These burgers are worth the effort. I assure you of that.
