I really like this place. Love the live bands and the bartenders are efficient and nice. Good service. Can be crowded but it is also a good time. And change from the stuffy bars and clubs charleston can have some time. I recommend.

If your coming here for music, drinks and dancing this is not your place!!!! Not worth ur time! Bad drinks with no alcohol. DJ 's music is all over the place. So many other places to visit in wonderful Charleston!

3.5 starts actually. We went to watch the Clemson - GA football game since this is a Clemson hangout. It was pretty crowded but service was good. About 4 or 5 decent beers on tap; lots of TVs around. It had a nice outdoor area out back, although I only looked out there for a second and stayed inside. It's a real bar and not very much for food, which was disappointing. Prices were good - bunch of beers, large pizza, hot wings and got out of there for $60something.

Nice little bar with a back patio. We stopped in for a couple of beers on a Sunday night. It's a place where it seems like everyone knows one another. That seems to be the theme of Charleston, SC... which is far different from NY. Very refreshing! Our bartender was Devan. She was really friendly and gave us some good advice on what to do and where to go in Charleston. We were also given free shots. Her southern hospitality is what gives this place 5 stars!

I stopped in here for a meeting and had a couple drinks. It was pretty slow but we were mostly just looking for a dry place to have a quick sit down. I thought someone would have come over and taken a drink order but it looked like the bartender was the only one available. I walked up to the bar and ordered myself a bourbon & ginger as well as an "amber" beer as requested by my colleague. The bartender said she didn't have an amber but maybe try a 420 or Fat Tire. She then immedieatly poured a sample of each. I let her know that was very thoughtful of her but that the drink was not for myself and not necessary for me to sample. I let her know to give me a Fat Tire and that would do the job. Although unecessary in my situation, I appreciate her willingness to take care of the customer. It is few and far between these days. The place looks vintage chic. Brick walls with tin ceilings and dark wood everywhere. I dig the industrial look and will definitely return.

Without a doubt best wings in Charleston. They slow cook them for at a minimum three hours. Actually these are the best wings I've ever had. I use their wings to gauge other wings and so far none have come close.

We were recently married in Charleston over Memorial Day weekend of 2014 and rented out the back patio of Midtown B&G for a cocktail reception for our out of town guests. Needless to say, we were not disappointed. Everything, from the food and drink, to the exceptional staff was fantastic. The bartenders were extremely friendly and professional, and dealing with the restaurant management was a breeze. Hunter Dawson arranged everything for us and did not miss a step. Our guests had such an incredible time at our event, that they ended up staying at Midtown for the rest of the night. I can't thank Hunter and the rest of the staff at Midtown enough for helping us kick off our wedding weekend with such style. It was a weekend that we will never forget, and Midtown was a major factor in that.

Disappointing. Overpriced. Horrible. Good wait staff. Wings were super disappointing. Too many other establishments to waste time here

Midtown is nothing more than an overpriced college dive bar with a slightly nicer facade than most. I would only recommend this bar at night if you are in college or want to watch a mediocre cover band. During the day it's a little bit more tolerable. A better crowd and a decent brunch menu.

Spent a lazy Saturday with just me and the bartender for a few hours. Feels like a hang out and a great place to meet for a few beers and to watch a game. Try the smoked chicken wings (Spicy teryaki) they were awesome. They get bands on weekends and have a 2 piece outfit that plays some during the week.

Great, casual, and fun bar! Perfect for college football on Saturday! Food is typical bar food.

This bar has the rudest bartenders I have ever seen in my life. We went to Midtown on a slow night and the service was horrible. The bartender was making rude comments to us as we were ordering expensive drinks. I gave the bartender a small tip based off his horrible attitude and service, then proceed to walk away. The bartender yelled at me complaining about his poor tip. I always tip 20% and this was the worst service I have ever had after years of going out to the bars. To make matters worse, he personally decided to increase his tip on the bill without my consent or knowledge. I would never go back to this place or use a credit card here. Places like this should not be in business.
