When you just want a good burger or hot dog, this is the place. Good prices. Good food, quick and easy. It was a great comfort to go in off of the, 2nd Sunday crowd streets, and sit in air conditioning, and relax. Best bang for the buck. Frank G

I can imagine they get a lot of traffic considering they're right in the midst of one of the busiest streets in Charleston but daaaaang can we get a greeting? A smirk? Light skinned dude with the glasses offers the driest: "What can I get you?" He really didn't want to be there... Clearly. I don't expect a song and dance when I visit a restaurant, especially a fast food joint, but damn, if a "hello" and fake smile is asking too much then imma need teenagers to get a reality check. Now because it's five guys I mean there's really nothing to say about the food. Good burgers, good fries. But don't go looking for any urgency in someone taking your order or not even the slightest bit of friendliness. Maybe they're nicer in the daytime???

Thanks to Corey the downtown Manager of Five Guys, King Street Chas SC. I called ahead as I was bringing 12 family members in for burgers/fries/drinks. He was spot on as we were on a tight schedule. He set up tables for us, and had our burgers waiting for our arrival, and fries cooking so they'd be hot and delicious as we know them. Corey was very professional and is an asset to Five Guys. Accolades to a fine manager and for the wonderful food that accommodates this establishment! Rose Thompson

Upon visiting our family in Fort Mill, SC - we were also in Charleston to celebrate my cousin graduating from CoC. We don't have a Five Guys in Hawaii, so we decided to try something new. With a simple menu, its easy to decide what to eat. I believe we ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers, all the way. The people behind the counter warned us about the serving size, and we opted for a smaller order of fries. The burger was very good, but the toppings on a burger is just as important if not more than the actual patty. They did not skimp on the toppings, which I was glad to see.

I'd heard about Five Guys before, so when they opened on King Street, I was curious. Let me just say, that in the first month, I'm pretty sure I was there once a week. I actually had to restrain myself from going more. It's pretty basic, but what they do with a burger and fries is a-mazing. Some advice? Don't order the large fries because the serving size for the regular is HUGE.
