I was given a gift card and was not impressed. Got the chicken salad sub and the firehouse. Meat and bread was ok. Came with a total of 2 slices of tomatoes. Lacked good flavor. Have had similar subs at Jersey Mikes and Norms in downtown Charlestob, both were much better!! I'll take a Norms sub any day over this overpriced mess, plus the manager callede name and kind of flung the sandwiches on the counter! Service was poor!! Won't go back!!

It's Firehouse, so... pretty much the same food and decor as all the other Firehouse subs restaurants. This one wasn't super special or anything, but still tasty- I guess what you come to expect from Firehouse. If you've never been to one, the subs are hot, lots of meat, cheese, and veggies, and they're a little bigger than some subs. They also have one of those super-cool drink machines- the Coke Freestyle, and chips and cookies/brownies. Not a whole lot of side options and not a whole lot of veggie options- but it's a chain and it's like that at all Firehouse subs. The veggie sub is really good, and my husband prefers the Hook and Ladder. He says the subs are meatier than other chains. Another tip... free sub on your birthday :). If you sign up for their email list, they send you a reminder, but you just show your driver's license and they make it for you. Best birthday freebie around!

I had the new york steamer and it was amazing! Definitly coming back. Went there for a company lunch and they were quick and friendly. Great find.

So I'm always on the lookout for a good sandwich, and firehouse over the years has provided me with consistently solid food. Relatively fresh, decent choices - usually a little slow, but I'm fine with that. THIS Firehouse has another issue going on though. This review is not about the food - after having eaten here a couple times, I'd agree with Amy's review that it's what I have come to expect in the chain. The real issue is that in the three times I have been here, there has EVERY TIME been someone smoking cigarettes outside the front door - not customers, mind you....employees! Maybe it was because they were non-busy times during the day - I dont know. This last time was the last straw though. I assumed at each of the previous times that it was rogue employees on their break doing what their manager had forbidden them to do. But amazingly, the other day it was the manager/owner puffing away talking with two other workers, one of whom was also smoking. As a non-smoker, there is nothing more off-putting than the idea of having to walk through employee 2nd hand smoke just before eating. And then to go handle food??!!! Even if you wash your hands the lingering smell on you/your fingers not only stinks up the restaurant but also the FOOD. This is just gross. I strongly recommend going somewhere else for lunch.

The subs are so so good! Try the engineer! The staff is also exceptional.

We stopped here for lunch and we both weren't super hungry so we decided to split a sandwich. We tried the meatball sub. Wow! So good! The sub is basically 4 meatballs covered with marinara sauce. Then, on top of that, is melted mozzarella cheese with Italian seasoning. It seems so simple, but we were amazed at how delicious this sandwich was. The ambiance of the restaurant is fun with all the firehouse decorations.

Eh you get what you pay for in Firehouse. The meat and bread is of an okay quality and the sandwiches are alright. I was happy to see different choices in terms of chips from chains such as different flavors of Ms. Vickie's like BBQ and sea salt and pepper. All in all it was not a bad experience but fast food is fast food and you get what you pay for.

Rating four stars because of price compared to food quantity received. It was hot and it was good! Love the specialty soda machine. Lots of hot sauce choices. Food delivered right to our table, bonus points! Welcomed and thanked upon entering and exiting the building, extra brownie points!

I love a good pickle - hence why Firehouse pops up in my mind for lunch options. This location is just like every other locations with one exception... If you want lunch, be prepared to wait an eternity for food. I'm not sure what happens, but it seems like during peak lunch hours, they are short staffed and take their sweet time to make your sandwich. Going late in the afternoon? In and out in less than 5 minutes. Want to quickly grab the sub you ordered online? Thirty minutes. The staff are hit and miss. My food has only been wrong once and they sort of huffed and puffed when I wanted it re-done (I hate mayo and lettuce, and they load that on there). Other times, I get extra pickles for free, which always makes my day!

Went on a Sunday afternoon, for a meatball sandwich. 2 other people sitting at a table. I ordered the sandwich. 25 minutes later, I left with my sandwich and went home. After eating it and 40 minutes later, I had the worst case of Diarrhea ever. I know what you're thinking, how can I be sure? Believe me, if you ever experienced this, you know what caused it, right away. I don't know what part of the sandwich caused it, but I will never take that chance again. Frank G

Got the chicken salad half sub combo. Paid close to $10 for half of a crappy sandwich. Was not impressed. Chicken is minced and the whole thing tastes like it came out of a jar. The size is very small and the serving of chicken salad on the sandwich is even smaller. Conclusion: If it ain't broke dont fix it. Get a hook and ladder and enjoy your mouthgasm with contentment.
