My uncle and I went tonight. We had a good time. We each had a drink. I had the aqua terrace punch which is good. He had the strawberry mojito. Only thing I didn't like was having to go to the bar to order my food and drinks. I was sitting at a table. The atmosphere was amazing. I had the pepperoni flatbread which was amazing. A good type of bar food. My uncle ate the Fish and Chips. He said the fish was allright but the frying was too much.. he peeled it off.

Very nice lounge feel. Different singers each night. Cheap drink specials. Most importantly...amazing staff!!! Professional, and friendly. Nice view for sunset

The previous reviews are all a long time ago. I beloeve they recently redid the whole rooftop. They put in fire pits and new furniture. The bar staff is pretty awesome. Fast, friendly and creative. They offer different kinds of snacks as well. Whoch are pretty fresh. You will find the longest sun time in Charleston and with the happy hour and live music going along with it, itns pretty worth getting off your beaten track and get over there.

For a hotel bar, this is pretty standard, and it's on the 3rd floor rooftop so this is a perk because you can enjoy the lovely Charleston evenings. There are a variety of tables & wicker/lounge chairs to sit at - so the vibe is very casual and no frills. You do get a view, but it's not like the hotel is on the actual historic waterfront, so it's not quite as breathtaking as the hotels a few miles away. I don't recall anyone walking around to take orders or ask if you'd like another drink. That didn't bother me, I just walked up the bar, and you can of course just charge it to your room. But talk about expensive wine. My pinot grigio was $12 a glass (yikes), this wasn't top of the line! The bar has a variety of drinks, wine and beer to choose from (hopefully there are options below $12)! There are a few TVs, so if you go up to the bar alone - don't worry, you can watch whatever is on the screen. Considering there is nothing a hop skip and jump from the hotel, and if you did walk somewhere you'd have to walk a good 15 minutes or so, along Lockwood which is a bit industrial, or Spring, which has the usual fast-food - (so either route alone at night I personally wouldn't want to do) - this is alright. Just prep yourself for a potentially spendy beverage.

I can't comment on the food, because we didn't eat any. & I can't comment much on the drinks, because my husband got a Jack & Coke that he said was good - but that's it. (Kinda hard to mess that up...haha). I did really like the atmosphere though! It's overlooking the water on the 3rd floor of the Marriott, which we were staying in. There's an elevator that will take you up outside in the courtyard so you don't even have to go into the hotel if you don't want to. It seems like a nice place to hang out & enjoy the weather!

For a hotel bar its a pretty nice outdoor lounge overlooking the river. Lots of fire pits and gas heaters spread around. Food is decent and the drinks are VERY reasonably priced.

Nice location overlooking the water. They had a guitar player up there when we visited. The breeze was nice for a relaxing evening. If you are staying on property not a bad little place to take a break. Caution: The entrance from inside the hotel out to the bar is sketchy looking. I thought we where going out and emergency exit not onto a terrace bar. There is a separate elevator for people coming up from the front entrance which looks a little better but don't get scared off by the entrance. It is the view and atmosphere you are going there for anyway.

Bartender sucks. Didn't even get her name but I was sitting next to two guys who had been sitting for ten minutes and never were waited on, the bar wasnt even busy. Soon as the guys complained another person came out of nowhere to serve these guys. Then as quick as he appeared he disappeared and didnt even ask me if needed anything. As a professional in the hospitality industry myself I was pissed. Soon as the Bartender came down to our side of the bar she took care of the three bikers on the other side of me and then left. I walked out. This just happened 1:45 Saturday during sewe. I was going to order lunch, have a few drinks. Oh well. I guess she didn't want my money. Also what's up with paying for wi-fi?? $9.95 a day your crazy No free guest service. That's nuts
