Disgusting! Despite the major cross contamination and potential for food poisoning going on here - the food was gross. In addition, the servers were confused and the decor was lacking. Raw meat on a buffet is not appealing! this concept would work better if you just told the server which meat you choose and then go pick out your vegetables, sauces and noodles. Suggestions would also be helpful because the final product tasted horrible.

I offered to take a friend to lunch at a high end restaurant as a "thank you". He suggested we go to The Mongolian Grill because he loves their food. It was my first time there. What a great experience. The food was fresh and I love being able to put together my own flavors. I loved the dish I made! The price is excellent too! In my opinion if the food is not great it doesn't matter if it is cheap. The waitress was kind of shy but she did a great job. I will go back again; soon!

A unique idea for a restaurant. I just had a meal to-go here but it was a good experience. What you do is go along a buffet style bench choosing your raw meat, veggies and sauce and then take it to the chef to cook up on a huge circular hot plate. You can have a choice of noodles or rice with it. It is fun and tasty. My only recommendation for the restaurant would be to have trays as it can be tricky to carry your bowl and sauce over to the cook without spilling! Also you may want to use two dishes for your sauce and the flavour didn't come through too much on my dish (I had only used one). Well priced too!

I've been to many Mongolian grill type of places (in California) so I do have things to compare this to. I'm used to there being much more noodle included in my bowl as well as it being a lot cheaper per bowl. That being said, I think this restaurant is a really good fit for this area. The prices are okay for this area. 9.99 for one bowl and 11.99 for unlimited bowls (it's $2 cheaper during lunch). A salad bowl is included with a buffet style salad bar. I just don't know if it was an AYCE salad bar or not. It didn't matter to us since we came here for the main meal. You get another bowl for your meats, seafood, and veggies. Meats include; beef, chicken, sausage, fish, shrimp, and scallops. You get to choose what type of noodle (pad thai, udon, lo mein) or rice (white or fried) you want. For those who are adventurous, there is a generous selection of sauces to choose from (general tso, thai curry, mongolian, garlic and so many more.) A little confusing and overwhelming as I just wanted to try them all. That's a good thing. It makes me want to come back and try something different next time. I like to mix and match. I like my flavors strong and dramatic. I used 2 sauce cups and filled my bowl up with my selection of meats and vegetables, and when the server brought me my cooked meal... the flavors did not come through as strong and bold as I had hoped but my meal was nevertheless very good. I didn't get the sausage but someone else did and the sausage actually overpowered his meal even though he got other meats as well. Everything tasted like sausage. It was still delicious though. You get to customize pretty much everything yourself so if something doesn't taste right, it's pretty much your own fault. LOL. I'd definitely come back again to try different sauces or different noodles or rice. Plus 11.99 for unlimited bowls is great for protein loading or carbo loading. Imagine the possibilities. I hope this place makes it.

I have been to a few Mongolian Grills before,So when I saw that Beaufort had one now I had to give it a try. This was similar in many ways ,that it had the circular cooking surface for the stir-fry restaurant concept. You chose your own ingredients from a great variety of choice meats and seafood, fresh vegetables, crisp salads, and flavor-packed sauces and spices. The food is then prepared while you wait. The only thing was your soup is a separate item not included in the all you can eat special.

This place is your typical Mongolian BBQ and it's good. I would opt out on the crab because it made my whole plate taste like crab, and not in a good way. I agree with other Yelpers that they do not give you enough noodles for your plate and you need to put tons of sauce to make it flavorful. Service was good and friendly. If you are going for dinner, make sure you go around 6pm otherwise it gets too crowded and ingredients start depleting. Early bird gets the worm.

I first tried mongolian bbq when I was stationed on Okinawa. This place offered a very similar experience and was very inexpensive. The food was delicious and I can't wait to go back again. There was a wide variety of meat to cook as well as several sauces for flavor.

Food = 3 (odd concept... but, the stir fry food was not bad) Price = 3 Experience = 3 (very odd idea and layout... it took the hostess several minutes to explain the process. interesting, but needs some refinement.)

Great end product. Putting raw meat in a bowl is really unusual, but it adds to the experience. There is no risk from cross contamination as others have noted because everything in your bowl gets thoroughly cooked. The place was virtually empty on a Friday night so I don't know if this will catch on. Food was really tasty, though. No limit as to how much you can put in your bowl.

Stayed exactly 7 minutes in the place. Met by a hostess who we seemed to be bothering. Got up to get our food - Shrimp looked like it was already covered in a white substance of some sort and rest of the meat did not look great either. As we are grabbing our ingredients, in the dead silence of the place, we hear clear as day hear the guy behind the grill clear his nose to hock a loogie. The sheer sound of it cut my appetite right there and then. Best part: when we drop our plates and walk out, the hostess asks me if I actually saw him do it... nope, the sound was enough ma'am.

Awful, just awful. The waitress acted like it was her first day on the job, which I can forgive, but so did everyone else who worked there. No one gave us menus, they were out of three different things that we ordered, the food on the bar was room temperature and looked all kinds of contaminated. We left after 15 minutes and will never go back.

Not a good experience. Quite confusing. Wait staff seemed confused. Food was overlooked and dry, it doesn't matter how much sauce you had. Part of the Mongolian was to watch your food being cooked, as in others that I have been. Not here, you take a number a sit!! The price advertised was not same as in the restaurant. Everything seemed extra. I thought I would have to pay to use the restroom. I wish the rate was lower. Go to Jade Garden up the street...
