Julie & Paul are great hosts that make you feel right @ home truly making you feel their home is yours. The location is ideal being close enough to walk every where yet far enough from the traffic to be quiet. The view from the veranda with a glass of wine is also relaxing.

We had a wonderful Italian dinner at one of the best restaurants in Beaufort. The food was cooked perfectly, appatisers and enters were delicious and not over whelming. They have a salted caramel butterscotch pudding for desert that is to die for. Can't recommend it enough. Newest favorite go to.

I really enjoyed this place. Went to Beaufort from the Hilton Head area and on the way back I wanted to grab something quick so I stopped in. I'm from LA so I've never heard of this place before. Ordered a small combo with a breast, beans, and a biscuit. For fast food, this place was awesome. The meal was like a little over $5 and got a drink as well. They were super friendly and the establishment was clean. I'm sure to you all that live here, this place may not be a big deal but we need places like this on the West Coast. The chicken was great as were the beans and biscuits. Fried chicken is excellent here.

I had passed this place quite a few times. Nearly every Saturday on the way to the Farmer's Market down the road. So I decided one day to look it up on here and see their reviews. I love some good fried chicken and this place is rated fairly well. Now I know why! I got the 15 piece chicken only and we absolutely loved it. My family and I enjoyed it so much. We decided not to get any sides but the chicken itself is very delicious. Well seasoned down to the meat. The crisp coating is seasoned, battered and fried to perfection. Perfect about of flavor and crunch as well as moist well cooked meat on all pieces of meats. I strongly recommend and will be back. I'd eat here all day every day if I knew what portion control was.
nuff said!
Every Beaufortonian knows this joint. A must visit if you want to do as the locals do! Some faves are the wing snack, whiting, box of fries, and gizzards fried hard!

The Spaghetti Club

My wife and I stopped in with our two boys while on vacation. Great atmosphere for all and very engaging decor with a stage for different types of acts. The casual friendly setup has a straight forward menu with several pasta and protein options along with specials. I had a pasta with vegetables and a wine garlic sauce, excellent and just the right size. Service was fast and friendly. Everyone liked their meal and we'll be back next time thru, ideally we can catch a night when they have entertainment.
Fantastic food! Fresh salad with awesome dressings, specials of the night were amazing ... Both the crab stuffed mushrooms & cheese tortellini with pepperoni, and peppers ...perfect mix of sweet and spicy sauce. The chicken added to the Alfredo pasta was seasoned perfectly. We stumbled across tSC when we were looking for a pizza place after a day at the beach. Luckily the pizza place in the same complex was closed so, we decided to try the Spaghetti Club and were so happily surprised. The bread was fresh and tasty...attentive service, fun atmosphere, great music..couldn't ask for anything more. Even the left overs were great the next day.
This place is absolutely wonderful. Great food, friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Good restaurant, good selection, good sandwiches, good service. I was craving a tuna melt, so I drove over to grab some dinner. I am pregnant, so "crave" means "must have or else" so I was on the hunt. Thrilled this sandwich shop is open for dinner! What I didn't expect was their pickles. Oh my, I could eat a dozen of them! The chips were good though pretty similar to Lays. My tuna melt club had delicious fresh toasted bread, quality ingredients, and was made super prompt upon request. My only complaint is my pickle was small. Can I get a second pickle if I ask really, really nicely next time? Because there will definitely be a next time!
Awesome sandwich shop! You can never go wrong with whatever you get. Great service and even better food. Definitely suggest you stop in and grab a bite, can't to come back to Beaufort to eat!
Wasn't sure what to expect but was very excited to try a new sandwich shop. Finding the restaurant is a bit of a challenge if you're not sure for what you're looking - it almost jumps up out of nowhere. Parking leaves much to be desired and a suggestion for future would be to move to a more parking-friendly space. When we walked in, we were told to seat ourselves. Our server came over immediately and took our drink orders. She was patient with us as we reviewed the menu. We both loved our sandwiches and the dips with with they came. Definitely will eat here again, and I definitely recommend this place!

Rhett House Inn

I can't imagine a more relaxing few days than staying at the Rhett House. We loved sitting out on the veranda admiring the Spanish moss and the buggies driving by. The owner suggested we take a tour of the Gullah country. Somebody named "The Rev" came and picked us up and gave us a fascinating tour and offered wonderful insights into a people and culture we, being from the west coast, had never before heard of. Breakfast on the veranda . . . a leisurely stroll through town . . . life is good!
Sis and I stayed at this quaint and comfy inn during our first visit to Beaufort. We were attending a Marine Corp graduation on Parris Island and opted to stay at the Rhett House after reading several great reviews on Tripadvisor and Yelp. We were beyond pleased with our decision. Room #2 was small but cozy. Our bed was comfy and although the semi-private balcony went unused, it was quite inviting. Breakfast was awesome! At home, I never wake up early enough for breakfast but during this trip, I made it a point to wake up in time to enjoy each morning's tasty offerings. And they were tasty... The staff is fantastic! The morning of the graduation, the kitchen staff arrived early, just to get breakfast ready for us since we had to leave before the usual dining hours. The manager also gave us dining and shopping suggestions that were only a few blocks away from our locale. And let me tell ya, the variety of eats in Beaufort will satisfy even the most discerning palate. So, lets add it all up: Centrally located+friendly/efficient staff+attentive and knowledgable management+tasty breakfast/evening desserts+comfy room= 5 stars and a return trip this December! You do the math!
we travel a lot along the east coast and stay in a lot of B & B and the Rhett House in Beaufort SC is one of the best. the rooms are beautifiul , the breakfast is fantastic, and the staff very friendly and helpful. their recommendations for lunch and dinner were spot on. this is a must stay if in the area

Old Bull Tavern

205 W St
Beaufort, 29902
Reviews:
This was my second visit to the Old Bull Tavern. This gastropub has a eclectic atmosphere of old school tavern meets French Brasserie with a little Dr. Who mixed in. I arrived before six and easily found a seat the bar. However, the place quickly filled and had a vibrant pub feel. I highly recommend reservations for parties of two or more after 6 pm. The bartenders are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Needless to say, the drinks are terrific and consistent. I prefer the New Fashion, but ventured out of my comfort zone with LBG (Lemon. Basil, Canton Ginger and Vodka). I've got to admit I will be conflicted on my next visit. The food was amazing from start to finish. I started with pork belly steamed buns. The pork belly was crisp with a nice chewiness. I think the highlight of the night was the chicken liver pâté with crostini. The pâté was smooth, creamy, delicate and perfectly accompanied with cornichons and what appeared to be a shallot marmalade. For the entree I ordered the Parmesan-crusted pork cutlet with a fennel. Delicious and my "go to" every time I return.
My family stopped here for drinks before we ate elsewhere, so I can't say much about the food though everyone we have talked to down here has highly recommended this place. It has a rustic "tavern" feeling to it with three mixologists all dressed in suspenders and bow ties, all of whom were extremely familiar with craft beer, local wine, and craft cocktails. Christopher, who seemed to be the lead bartender couldn't have been more gracious. We ordered the "Snoop Juice" which was delicious. Fresh Grapefruit, Gin, Rhubarb Bitters, and Cocchi. We will definitely be back for dinner, thanks Christopher!
I have never been to a city or a bar where you needed reservations at a bar??? My girlfriend and I came to experience the taste of this place and I can say that we did not get past the door, much less a table. We were told that the hostess would "check to see" if something was open. After a long pause in conversation with Stacy, she walked around the pub and informed us that there was nothing "available"- followed up with NO offer of putting us on a waiting list or EVEN giving us a time frame of when we could be seated. There was an obvious "to cool for school attitude" and a certain air this place gave off. Not for me and I would not advise it for you. But if you go, call ahead because apparently to get a beer and a burger you need to know the right people and make a phone call.
