Very cute place. Good food. Nice take out meats, prepared foods and such. We waited a while for a table - no one spoke or greeted us. The manager said " is there something I can help you with?" I said " yes, I'm waiting for a table( all were taken or not cleaned off). " she said well we were busy. Ok...but how about - Hi, welcome to Low Country Produce! We will clean a table off for you ASAP! Fairly annoyed with being ignored.

The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The portions are very large for the price and as fresh as you can get. All ingredients come from local growers and the sea food is also caught locally. There is ample parking behind the restaurant for ease and convenience.

I just adore this place for a casual lunch. I came here several times during a 2 week stay in Beaufort. The building is beautifully done and makes for a bright and cheery atmosphere. I've had an assortment of the sandwiches and all were great. Best lunch spot in Beaufort. Only wish I'd made it for breakfast because I keep hearing about their homemade yeast donuts!

The market in Beaufort is a wonderful reinvigoration of the old city hall, which I discovered by reading the newspaper clippings on the wall. Ambiance: The polished concrete floors, the high seated tables offering a view out the windows, the choices of butcher cuts, the produce, and of course...the deserts, make it welcoming visit to the eyes. Service: Although it's not a typical restaurant (because it also serves as a butcher shop and produce market) it worked well. Once we sat down we were given a menu and had our drink order taken in a very short period of time and the service came with a smile, big plus for an early AM breakfast. Food: We came for breakfast and we're glad we did. The freshly squeezed orange juice and grapefruit juice made it worth waking up for.Being so close to our hotel we just strolled across the street to get it! After a quick peek of the menu I decided on the homemade breakfast sausage with eggs and fruit. Although, I feel it could have used more heat in the spices when they were making the sausage it was still dang good. My meal also came with a homemade cheddar biscuit with two types of jam, both were just fantastic. My wife settled on the granola and yogurt. She was done after a few bites, tasty and filling. Since it was breakfast time we so we shied away from the cookies and other deserts displayed in the case but they all looked fantastic. Cleanliness: Near spotless, the floors were swabbed the well decorated shelves were dusted and furniture freshly wiped down. Overall: It was a comfortable experience, 5 Stars for breakfast but unsure how lunch, the butcher shop and the produce market would be since we didn't have a chance to try any of those so I'm giving it an overall rating of 4 Stars...but we look forward to finding out more if we have the opportunity for future visits.

Beautiful space, really friendly staff. Loved the small chutney and relish items and old time sodas for sale too! The pimento cheese got me and my husband so excited. Very tasty and zingy! Pimento cheese at my house is considered almost gospel and I love the personalized version here. I noticed the secret ingredient right off the bat and love the aspect of personalizing your signature dishes. Right on! The problem is this... the grits. My husband grew up in Charleston SC and grits are pretty darn important. They must pass the test where a spoon can stand straight up. These were watery and almost a bit raw. I have been told we won't come back for that alone. ( I know harsh , right? ) Please fix the grits so I can return because I want to try some more things there and I usually have my husband with me when we run around Beaufort. Thank you for taking the time to read this-:) foodasrecreation.blogspo…

I love this great little spot in my beautiful hometown. It's so cute. When you walk in you're not sure if you're at a deli, shop, or cute little café. Walk around the deli counters to take a seat before they all fill up and take a look at the delicious menu. My fav: Chicken Salad Sandwich with potato salad, and cold soda from the frig cases. Service is great. Mary Alexis will take great care of you for lunch. All the staff is very friendly and quick. Make sure you spend some time looking at all the gifts and grocery items they have for sale. Take some items out the deli cabinet home for dinner or a snack. This is a great place to get sweet grash-esque baskets for a great price. They aren't true sweetgrass so they are at a much more affordable price, but who would know unless you told them!

Absolutely loved this place. For breakfast, try the fish and eggs (smoked salmon in an omelette with asparagus and goat cheese) or the veggie omelette. Both excellent. Light eaters might want to avoid the egg/cheese/sausage bowl. Great service and atmosphere. Coconut macaroons from the market were super fresh. We'll be back for lunch!

Bomb.com . Atmosphere. Check. Service. Check. Food. Check check check. We had the ooey gooey and it was the best pimento cheese sandwich I've ever had! The burger, although ginormous, was excellent. Loved the sweet pickle on it. If I lived here it would be my favorite place.

Horrible service. We came for lunch at 1 pm on a tuesday. We sat down and waited patiently. After 15 min we retrieved our own menus, decided what we wanted to order and continued to wait. In the meantime three parties were seated next to our table. Still no sign of a waiter. After 20-25 mins of zero service (we were never even brought water) a waiter proceeded to take the orders of the tables that were seated after us. I informed the manager of how long we had been waiting and was given an extremely annoyed look and told someone would be over in a minute. Maybe they have good food. All of the other reviews suggest they do. But, great food isnt enough to excuse an establishment that makes u wait almost half an hour, then takes orders on tables that were seated after u, and, finally, acts like u are out of line for asking to be served on a first come first served basis. Hopefully they will figure out a way to combine both great service and great food...or at least find a way to ask their customers which one of their fantastic dishes they would like to try.

Great atmosphere. Came for Sunday brunch. Very good coffee and glazed donuts. I had 'the bowl' and my wife had blueberry pancakes both were very good. Their store had a lot of interesting things and there were a lot of tasty looking things in the cold case. We will have to come back for dinner.

Very friendly staff. Best food- organic, natural, healthy. Farmhouse style. Good beers available on tap and to buy. This place does it all (breakfast, lunch, dinner). Get the homemade potato chips with your sandwich!

The place in Beaufort for breakfast or lunch. Absolutely delicious, freshly prepared reflection of the bounty of costal South Carolina. Attentive service by a staff that exudes southern hospitality at its best. We ate here every day we were in Beaufort. Can't wait to return

We have been here twice. Once for lunch and once for breakfast. I loved the Ooey Gooey. Just yummy. DH thought the burger was ok, but he is uninterested in going back for another. I agree with Tom C. regarding the pickles. My mouth is watering at the thought of them. Breakfast was another story. While we did really enjoy the fresh doughnuts, the rest was not us to snuff. All the entrees we ordered involved their biscuits. We ate the filling out of the breakfast sandwiches, but the biscuits were a dry, crumbling, and tasteless mess. I am a huge coffee drinker, I found theirs to be overly strong and bitter. I loved the atmosphere, and I would definitely go back for lunch, but would skip breakfast. Seriously...buy the pickles!

The LCP Burger is probably the best burger I've ever eaten in my life. Everything about it was perfect - the meat, bun, produce. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the ambience inside is wonderful. It is tastefully decorated and they had live music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved this place so much, that I came back for brunch before leaving town at the end of my trip. Be sure to grab a bottle of their pickles before you leave (if you're lucky enough to find them before they sell out).
