They would've gotten a 3-star review if they hadn't been so disorganized, slow, and forgotten my coffee. In addition, they would've gotten a 4-star review if they had better bread (the bread is way to thick and dry) for the sandwiches. Which is a shame because the meat in our sandwiches (we got italian combos and cubans) was really tasty.

I stopped in to grab a sandwich after going up to the Trinity Church park with my dog. I was a bit hungry. & Subway was not going to cut it. I wanted a really yummy Deli sandwich. VOILA! I googled & found The Deli right down the street! Easy in/out street parking opposite town hall. The Deli is in a little row house. It's small but simple. Has about 5 or so tables & eat in counter service. They use Boar's Head meats, cheeses, condiments pretty exclusively. They had many types of bagged chips & a Serbs yourself fridge of drinks including San Pellegrino flavored sparkling juices & ginger beer, etc. The staff were very nice. Service was helpful & prompt. They filled a water bottle for my dog without a moment's hesitation which was really nice. Anyway, I ordered a roast beef on a Kemmelwick roll with provolone, horseradish mayo, LTO. The sandwich was a generous size. The kemmelwick roll was really fresh & truly amazing. The sea salt, poppy seed & caraway roll made the sandwich. This will be my GO TO place ANYTIME I am in Newport & want a FRESH, DELISH Sandwich. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED! : )

After meeting Jake downtown, we stopped in to try the Deli and we were glad we did! We tried the Weck and the Cuban both were fantastic. The roll for the Weck was one of the best I've ever had on a sandwich. The dipping sauce and horseradish sauce were great compliments to the tender roast beef! We'll be back.

The Deli is definitely my go-to for delicious and fresh sandwiches! I especially love the thanksgiving and the cuban! And I love being able to create my own sandwich, too! The bread is amazing and the salads are always so good. A really unique place with a laid back vibe that makes for an enjoyable experience.

Great sandwiches, especially the Weck. Friendly staff who are very creative with new menu items. Also hand out free samples of their pizza while you wait. My favorite deli in Newport area.

Good deli! Fresh meat! Friendly people! They do have a few chairs if you would like to eat inside. -1 star because they gave me the wrong sandwich. However if I had gotten the right sandwich I'm sure they would be a solid 5.

So happy that this place opened on Broadway. I work in the area and was tired of having to drive to get lunch. The food is soooo good. I'm kinda picky and they don't blink when I ask for this or that to be left off or to have the sandwich on different bread. (I love the torpedo rolls-fresh baked so I tend to go early when they are warm, YUM!) Also tried the steak to take home and grill and it was great!

Delicious NY style deli! The closest thing I've found to my corner deli back in NYC. Big sandwiches made fresh to order on crusty bread...yum... Also, they have there own version of Beef on Weck, which if you've ever been to Buffalo and eaten (my boyfriend is a Buffalonean) you'll know why this is A-MAZING. It's basically roast beef on a salted roll but they add their own spin with a horseradish cheddar melted on top. It's a must try! The Caprese sandwich was also great and you can't go wrong with the standard turkey sandwich made your way. Wish they had a better seating area and maybe some breakfast offerings but otherwise no complaints from this NY-deli lover.

Distrusting!!! Super dirty. Food in refrigerator display looks so old. Got a simple turkey sandwich and had to throw it out. Meat was slimy. Guy who made our sandwich touched money with gloves and then went to make another sandwich. Floors and walls were filthy!!

I come here at least once a week for one reason: the #4 pastrami. it used to be the #3, but they've expanded their menu and threw a fast one at me by changing the pastrami's number. enough about me. this place is legit, and their customer service is amazing. couple the sandwich with a blood orange soda and you're golden.

this was absolutely the greatest thing that has ever happened ot me by far, the roast beef.... amazing. I felt at home. There is indoor seating and is real comfortable. i went in, got exactly what i ordered, the weck, and it was killer. Best spot in Newport by far, awesome to-go spot. Recommended highly!

I grew up going to delis, bakeries, fish markets, vegetable stands and The Deli brings me right back to that healthy experience. Outstanding quality, personalized service for making cuts to order or finding special pieces. Always put the customer first. This place is excellent for a big holiday dinner or a backyard cookout - as well as lunches to go, dinners - anything you may need. After ten years on the island I can finally buy meat here!

I love this place. They have friendly service and spectacular food. It took two meals to finish the meatball sub. The meatballs were fresh and handmade. The best sandwich of all is the WECK. This is my go to sandwich when I am hungry. This is on my list of must places to eat in Newport!

Great new deli in town. The guy is from Philly and knows how to make a great, straightforward sandwich. They have awesome macaroni salad too. They have a couple seats at the window, but mostly for take-out. I highly recommend this place!
