One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and great location. Not a lot of restrooms in newport so it was convenient to walk to hotel.... You'd be surprised how much this comes in handy especially with kids!! Can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Beautiful room, very well decorated. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to come home. There was a continental breakfast with assorted pastries and fruits available in hallway and a lovely court to eat them in. Our room also had a small kitchen & big bathroom with posh toiletries. One drawback - there was a gaggle of rude women in the rental above us who would stumble in every night and loudly drag their behinds upstairs. They were so loud. I'm not sure the management had any idea but their sloppy hoots and hollers woke us up several times over the course of our stay.

This is the best hotel in Newport by far! The room had everything to make us feel right at home, including letting us bring our dog! The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. It was a home away from home in downton Newport. Convenient to everything. I am so glad we found this spot and am recommending it to everyone I know!

Wow this place was gorgeous and the service was perfect. Everything was simply taken care of and we were left alone to enjoy our stay. The bedding and towels were luxurious. The room and bathroom was super clean (and I am a major stickler for cleanliness). Highly recommend this place. The location was also perfect. Walking distance to everything.

This place is a gem. I'm a little terrified that everyone will find that out and we'll never get a reservation there again, but I'll risk telling the world, because they seem like such good folks. It's a small boutique hotel, which combines individual service and character while eschewing the enforced intimacy of, say, a lot of B&Bs. I showed up, said my name to someone who knew it without having to look it up, was handed a real, actual key, and opened a room that was really a whole apartment for less than the cost of most regular hotel rooms. Full kitchen, throw rugs, lots of closet space, big, sunny windows, breakfast bar, fluffy bed, good shower - plus a gas fireplace. There was even a personalized welcome letter on the coffee table, and I don't mean a photocopied sheet where someone scratched my name in the blank with a ballpoint pen. THE WALL ART WAS EVEN GOOD. Hotel art is never good. These were interesting, varied, and often historical images of Newport, and were fascinating enough that I had to take the time and go around to each one and take it in. The decor was homey without being overdone, and I felt like I was in a place with character that didn't need to apply it with a trowel. As if I weren't going to give them five stars already, I'd give the place another whole star just for having plenty of wall outlets. There's another thing that never happens in hotels. From my vantage point on the squashy sofa in front of the fireplace, I counted seven - seven! - modern, grounded, three-prong outlets within reach of my laptop cable. And only one of them already had something plugged into it. I could have wept. When we checked out, we were told that we were welcome to leave our car in the small hotel lot during the day if we were going to hang around Newport. That's a huge perk when you're right downtown and parking is murder. Well done, my friends, well done.

By far the best hotel I've stayed at in Newport, even when compared to some of the most expensive and well-known hotels in the area. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway to celebrate his birthday and it far exceeded our expectations. The studio suite was HUGE, despite connotations associated with the word "studio." It had a full kitchen complete with pots & pans, utensils, and wine glasses. The room was impeccably clean. The in-room breakfast was very generous as well - two bagels (with all the fixings), two muffins, cereal, oatmeal, milk, OJ, and fruit! The hotel itself was very quiet (which could be because it's off season - I'm not sure how many guests were there the same night as us). The location of the hotel was really one of its best features. It was literally steps from the cobblestone walkway of Thames Street, just seconds from shops and restaurants. The only thing that could have made it better was free wifi - I could have just been missing something, but it was password protected and we weren't provided with a password upon check-in. The off-season rates are unbeatable and make for an affordable but luxurious weekend getaway! We will undoubtedly be back!

This place is fab! We stayed here a while back for my friends wedding. Everyone was coming in from out of town, and the staff here were SO helpful! We ended up taking over the entire hotel that weekend and it was great. The rooms are more like condos. Full kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms, etc. AND, while its little on the pricey side, you can fit a ton of people in each "room". Every couch pulls out, and some have multiple bedrooms.And, its located right downtown, so you dont need a car if your staying here. Such a great place. The owners did a great job with the renovations. If I didnt live here now, I would stay here when I came to visit.
