I went to this establishment when I was staying at my uncles house for a week. I saw how highly it was rated and decided to give it a shot. I can safely say I will definitely make a stop here every time I am in Barrington! They have some great food, fresh ingredients and a great atmosphere. They have a wide variety of food and it is all very delicious . I am a very big fan of breakfast food , and Blue Kangaroo serves their breakfast wraps all day and that just makes them better off automatically! Overall I would definitely give this restaurant 5 stars and recommend it to anyone looking for fresh food and great variety!

Cute little cafe in Barrington! Plenty of delicious, healthy options but also some really good sweet treats. The lobster roll is a great deal but be careful with the little add ons- can get pricey.

No one seems to have a clue what's going on behind the counter. Confusing who you are supposed to order from.. Ordered a tea/ lemonade which is directly on the written menu wall.. To which the guy taking my order had no clue what I was talking about. I pointed it out on the menu board.. His response was " I don't think we make that". What? Why is it on the menu then? And I have definitely had it before... He then offer to make one fresh, homemade.. You get a star for that effort.. But it was terrible, just lemons squeezed into green tea ( which was gross).. And then I had to pay 5$ for it. Ridiculous. Don't offer something you don't make. And don't charge me 5$ for something that wasn't correct after dealing with your clueless workers.

Great chicken caesar salad wrap. Love to add in a bit of goat cheese. Great service, love this place!

Well I finally had a positive experience at Blue Kangaroo. My husband and I stopped in for sandwiches and an iced tea. The sandwiches were heartily portioned and the ingredients were fresh. Service was quick enough but I do wish they had more vegetarian options for the sandwiches. Overall, it's totally decent but I'm not sure about some of the RAVE! reviews....

First time I went there was last week. I have to say it was so busy but the lane was moving quite quickly. When I got to my destination and I finally sat down to eat oh my Lovely all the way it's was lovely tasty Chicken Salad on Wheat. Thank you see you soon

The blueberry almond scones are the best scones I have ever tasted. They are light and buttery and simply melt in your mouth.

Im a big breakfast sandwich lover and this place has several unique and very tasty options. Between the Sicilian, Roadrunner and Southcoast I could hardly choose. That said, I made sure to encourage my son towards the Southcoast while I jumped on the Sicilian. At least I got to try 2 out of three. The sandwiches were HUGE and better than I imagined. The eggs are sourced locally, so when they say "farm fresh" they mean it. I didn't have room for the baked goods, which looked fantastic, so we brought some back for my girls, who devoured them. Oh and the coffee is organic and strong, just the way I like it. If you are passing through Barrington like I was, do yourself a favor and check in at Blue Kangaroo for breakfast or lunch.

I ordered the "maple ave" sandwhich. It was a decent attempt at a prosciutto sandwhich but overall i was disappointed. I did get A LOT of prosciutto on the sandwhich but it ended up just tasting like meat and bread, everything else got lost in the sandwich. The choice of cheese really did not work with the sandwich either. It also came in cubes which is puzzling. I either got a mouthful of cubed cheese or no cheese at all. Would have been much better with sliced cheese that would spread out evenly over the sandwhich. There was an Italian dressing also that worked when i could taste it but the meat and bread overpowered the whole sandwhich and thats all i really tasted most of the time.

What a great place. My wife has been here many times and spoke very highly of Blue Kangaroo. I decided to stop in to grab breakfast to bring home to the family today. They have a great selection of pastries and hot breakfast sandwiches. I had the #1 on an asiago bagel and it was fantastic. I liked the place so much I went back to pick up lunch for the family (college football day). The lunch was just as good as the breakfast and all of the employees are extremely friendly! We will definitely be frequenting this place more often!

My wife and I really like the food and atmosphere here. I would like to give this place 4 to 5 stars, but the service brings it down. The staff is very friendly, but most of the time we have gone, the staff makes errors on our orders. The errors include making a hot coffee when ordering a cold one, forgetting an ingredient on a sandwich. They are not big mistakes, but the appear to be pretty consistent. I would recommend this place to others and we do keep going back, but double check your orders. Hopefully they can fix this problem.

I had a horrible experience at the Blue Kangaroo the other day. I ordered a smoothie and a breakfast sandwich. The smoothie was not sweet at all, even thought it had tons of fruit in it. It tasted like the fruit put in the smoothie was unripe. The sandwich was good, but a couple hours after eating it, I began to feel extremely nauseous. I threw up several times and had a fever for the rest of the day. I felt totally fine before I ate that food. Also, the service is horrible. No one looks at you when they speak. No one is polite. They make their sandwiches sloppily and without care. They are very unorganized and extremely slow. I am definitely never coming back.

This place is a great local hang out. Small seating area on the inside, and but when the weather is nice they have bistro tables outside. Their baked goods are awesome ( large fresh made cinnamon rolls), change with the seasons and have gluten free options. The coffee is strong and organic!! The breakfast sandwiches are made with eggs from Buffoni's Poultry Farm (a RI institution) and are delicious. You can really feel good about eating here since most of their products are locally sourced and/or organic in addition to being down right tasty. This is were I take company for a quick lunch stop, while we are out shopping or just to get out of the house.

I'm all for supporting our small local businesses in any possible way I can, but the Blue Kangaroo will certainly give you the blues after forking out $15 for a wrap and drinks. To say the least, this place is over priced and just because it's in barrington, they think they can over charge on anything. Service here is kinda rude... attitude and snob appeal is present here, and so is the high price for mediocre food. I would not be coming here again.

Good selection and great food. 3 stars because they manage to put cheese on my breakfast sandwiches every time I ask them not to. This was the 5th mistake in a row...

Great gluten free muffins, breakfast cookies and treats. Also yummy gluten free bagels and wraps and sandwiches. So great to have a local easy spot to grab a GF snack. Yay!!!

The Blue Kangaroo is a great lunch place with daily specials such as turkey sandwich made from real turkey not deli meats. The Portebella mushroom sides where a delight. Don't forget the home made cookies.

New cafe, all kinds of creative sandwiches, wifi and the pickles are delicious. Monstrous desserts and fun drinks. The Elvis, a banana, peanut butter chocolate shake, is off the hook. Tasty all around!

Lucky Barrington! Great town focused Cafe. The Boomerang Coffee drink is a great starter in the morning or pick me up in the afternoon. My favorite sandwich is the fresh lobster roll. At the Kangaroo it can be summer all year round for me. And then the pastries! What a way to get in trouble every day. Hail to the KANGAROO! My favorite spot in town.

LOCAL, non chain sandwich and salad shop. FRESH ingredients. An alternative to Panera bread. It is not by any means Gourmet or special. What it is is Local, clean, fresh and reasonable. During the week, whenever we get lunchtime take out at the office - the options are: bagel's etc. or Kangaroo. We all like kangaroo if we are ordering soup or salads. The soups taste better than home made and not at all commercial. The salad greens are very fresh and they will customize anyway you want. The 1/2 salad is plenty for lunch and it is reasonable - I think it is $4.99. This is less than the grocery salad bar. Worth a Special trip from another town? NO. Worth a stop if you want a quick something and are not near Panera bread - yes. Want it to do very well, YES.
