Isaac's Restaurant is a very unique restaurant with sandwiches named after birds, which is kind of cute. Great soup and sandwich place. Their pretzel sandwiches are really yummy. They have many kinds of sandwiches to pick from and many different kinds of soup too. Staff is friendly and cheerful. Good service and delicious desserts too!

Def a fan of Isaacs. I was in York spending some time with the future in-laws and was surprised at the quality and care found in the food preparation. The subs were delicious. The bread was perfectly toasted and the roast beef was warmed and quite tender. Delicious on all accounts. Even the complimentary pickles were tasty. Check out Isaacs when you're looking for a decent sandwich!! So much better than Subway or Quiznos.

The sandwiches and soup here are very good. They have sandwiches on regular bread as well as the pretzel rolls and french bread. There is a good variety of deli meats which always seem fresh. You will have to read the sandwich descriptions carefully, as everything is named after a bird. I highly reccomend the pepperjack tomato soup. Personally I prefer Panera Bread, but this is a clean location with friendly staff and definitely worth a try.

Through the years they have been slowly adding sandwiches that are more appealing to more people. I figure in another few years they could earn their way onto our A list of places to eat and increase their business a great deal. They could also use some more APPEALING side dishes! It's up to them!

I love their speckled lemonade and usually get the half a sandwich and cup of soup deal. Join their email club -- they ALWAYS send you coupons and they're actually good ones. Staff is friendly and polite. Plus if you like pickles, Isaac's is the place to go!

I always loved going to Isaac's when I lived in Ephrata, but I was very disappointed when I stopped at this York location. We waited 30 minutes for a table, and when we were finally seated, we noticed quite a few empty tables. We waited another 30 minutes for our food which is unacceptable at a deli. The staff was inattentive, and appeared to be milling about aimlessly.

Great food. Take out service is terrible. If you are standing in line, all the incoming phone calls take priority and they will ignore you. You are better off calling them while in line to give your order otherwise you will forced to wait and wait.

Today's experience was not good. The deli pasta salad was dry from being in the fridge for too long. I ordered the Gooney Bird/Soup combo and was honestly afraid to eat the lunchmeat because of it's color. The soup was not warm and I could tell that it's been heated/reheated -- old. My kids had the carrots and ranch as their sides. The carrots were white/dried (again, old). The bacon that we added to the sandwich order was overcooked. Usually, we love coming to Isaac's but was really disappointed in the food today. Should have figured not to go to this location considering there is almost no one here at 5:30 PM on a Saturday night. Try a different location if you're an Isaac's fan.

I LOVE Isaac's! I grew up going to this casual deli chain, though the White St. location is my home base, so-to-speak... (I even had a first date there!) If you love originality in your sandwiches, look no further than Isaac's. They have sandwiches in every shape and size on any kind of bread, including pretzel rolls, my favorite. You can choose one of the many concoctions they have on the menu, or there is a "create your own" option on the back where you choose everything that you want to go into your personal creation. The atmosphere is fun and light. Their mascot is the flamingo, so you will see a lot of them! In every location I've been to (I think I've been to 5 or 6) they have a large fish tank and neon lights that help to keep the mood up. The menu is constantly changing, but one thing remains the same... every sandwich is named after a bird! I highly recommend the Finch sandwich, and for a twist (excuse the pun) try it on a pretzel roll! Don't forget the soup! They have an excellent selection every day of home made soup, just like mama never had the time to make for ya. Stick around for dessert, the fudgie wudgie is perfect for sharing. Isaac's is perfect for a lunch with friends or a quick bite for dinner. The price is right for every pocket!

You really can't go wrong here, but the Phoenix on a pretzel roll may just be the perfect sandwich. The cranberry chicken salad is really good too. Wish I had one closer to me!

Our second experience at Issac's for lunch was excellent. First visit two years ago was also great. Our waitress was very effiecient and friendly. The sandwiches that we ordered were OUTSTANDING, full of meat and the other added items. Our sides of corn chowder and red potato salad were also excellent. When we are in the local area where Issac's are located, we will definitely return.

There are tons of these places everywhere you look, so I was excited to find out that my grandma comes here after church every sunday, and that we would be eating there! All they serve here are sandwiches, soups, and salads. Anything with S's...sodas and sweets too! =) The sandwiches are very unique and fresh and with great prices. They have pretzel sandwiches which is kinda cool. The location I went to was very clean and service was fast for our large group of 12.
