It's about time I get to writing about this place. You guys have lots of positive feelings and vibes from your local diners? No? No kidding. Diners are generally disgusting. The food is just barely edible and they use questionable disinfecting practices. Its what you expect every time you sit down with your family, you turn a blind eye but MAN would you not recommend this place to a friend or anyone you care about. Red Plate Diner changes the game. This place is run by a group of genuine folk who happen to know their way around the kitchen. The booths and counter are always clean, and they keep fresh products in stock. When the chocolate milk's gone; it's gone! They'll get fresh stuff another day. No questionable freshness here. Another perk is that if it's your birthday, you get to eat on a sweet red plate! Also they randomly surprise one person every Sunday with flowers, just to remind fol they're special. Do you have to pay extra for this? No! They're a diner and they have diner-esq prices. There's plenty of reasons to want to eat at a Diner. Some are less admirable then others. Red Plate's not your normal diner, and you should now have enough reasons to head on out there (early!) this coming weekend! Remember, you are special!

My husband has been raving about this diner and I finally went with him today. Like other reviewers have reported the place is very, very clean. The hostess and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. My husband loves the Eggs Benedict and we both ordered it. Our 4 year old got a grilled cheese and fries. Eggs Benedict and grilled cheese were very good. The home fries and french fries have an after taste from whatever they are cooked in. Thought it was me but another reviewer mentioned it as well. Overall my experience is 3 stars. Food pretty good (with exception of home fries and fries), staff was very nice, and place was very clean. Not raving like my husband.

Beautiful old stainless diner, sparkling clean. That is the only praise I can give the place. The food is terrible, even breakfast! I can accept lousy in a diner if is open 24/7 but this place is open for breakfast and lunch only. Not worth the visit.

Great food for a diner. Best in the area. Hot Open faced Roast beef and fries were delicious. Meat was so tender. My friend had eggs and home fries for lunch and she raved about how good they were. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. Facility was very clean and well kept. Prices were very reasonable. They are only open from 7 am to 2 pm but will definitely go back.

This place is immaculate by diner standards. Almost too clean. What the place lacks in diner flair and character, it makes up for in a slightly expanded diner menu.

Been back a few times for breakfast since the original review and they seem to have fixed the problem with the way they cook their food. A lot better.

This is an excellent diner. The food is very well prepared and presented. Service is excellent. Prices are low. They use olive oil instead of cheap grease. This is my go to spot in this town.

Best diner in the area. They use local suppliers for many of their menu items. They have the best chocolate milk ever. They would get 5 stars if they stopped using those little packets of pancake syrup. For gods sake just get the normal diner containers for syrup like everywhere else

Clean, Good service and good food - at a PREMIUM price - just did not expect breakfast for 3 to run $35 with tip.... Two sausage and egg combos, an a 3 egg and pancakes with sausage and 3 coffees - most other places in the area $20

Excellent breakfasts and by far the cleanest diner I have ever been to.

Place is clean. Food is very average. Lady in charge was very mean to waitress, made her cry, she scolded her in front of customers, said she was not working a tip hard enough. Sad, I will never go back

The food is pretty good. The atmosphere is clean and really, its hard to find anything bad. The hash browns are just a little less than great, but omelettes are very good, pancakes just fine...but I was shocked with the pricing. Even the service was comparable with the best found in the county. Its just that If I ordered anything that was not just as it was on the menu, several additional charges were added onto the check and,...while the food was clearly worth it, the extra charges were not communicated before ordering. So, a great meal left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I would eat there again, but with the caveat that I may pay more than advertised. Just an unpleasant surprise after the pleasant one!
