I love their chocolate croissants, and their asiago bread is divine. My mother really loves the olive bread and stops in for it whenever she can.

One of the best and top quality places for bread options. I really appreciate that they use real culture starter and not just yeast for their sourdough bread, I have never been able to find this option locally. Not only is the bread wonderful, they also offer yummy pastries, muffins and baked goods. Good prices too! I'm hooked and will be a repeat customer for as long as they are open! Wonderful service! Cash only.

The BEST bakery period. They have a wide selection of breads and pastries that are always delicious (No cookies, cakes, doughnuts). We have never bought something from them and not loved it. Get there early because they do run out of certain items after a few hours. Their croissants are so good it will ruin all other croissants you are ever offered. My wife gets upset when they stop making the palmiers in the spring & summer months. The staff is made up of family members who never seem to have a bad day (but who would eating fresh bread every day) and are always nice and even have let customers pay them back another day if they forget cash on a small order. That's the type of service you hear your parents/grandparents talk about that no one else does anymore. Definitely pick up a loaf of Asiago sourdough if its available. They do not accept credit cards so make sure you bring cash.

Great bakery. Almond croissants are fantastic, as are most of their other pastries. We pick up our weekly bread here. 10x better than grocery store and about the same price.

Wonderful bakery in Souderton. I don't think it can get much better than this. The owner is very nice when you come in.

The Cronut needs to take a seat to this bakery's Kouing-Aman. Best thing outside of France. Not too sweet; ridiculously buttery. Just perfection in a pastry.

I've lived a block away from this place for six years and have only gone there twice. now that i'm moving i'm kicking myself for not going more. The pastries and desserts are excellent, but even better than that is the service. I've never been treated so well. My advice see if they have the mini-cheesecake with nutella on top.

the french idiom 'long comme un jour sans pain' (long as a day without bread) is used to describe something very long, or dreary. of course, the more literal translation harks back to a time when bread was indeed the staff of life - if you did not have bread, you went hungry that day if you need your daily bread, have i got a place for you in the sleepy town of souderton, there is a little gem of a french bakery; a boulangerie in the truest sense of the word, for raphael the baker is indeed a frenchie upon entering this pretty, cozy spot that is all warm honey woods and sparkling glass, you are immediately embraced by the comforting smell of bread baking. just don't come here all in a rush - order a coffee or tea and browse the display cases brimming with beautiful pastries and the bins of freshly baked artisinal breads - everything is scratch-made on premises and truly delicious the bread - running the gamut from the 'everyday' (batard, baguette, epi, olive bread and rosemary focaccia ~ those last two are killer!) to the 'specialty,' where each day features different loaves. you will find semolina, sourdough, complet (quinoa, spelt, amaranth, millet, brown rice, white & wheat four) and even gluten-free loaves, among many other variaties. one stand-out is the whole wheat and rye with apricot and hazelnut - it is tres magnifique. the pastries - croissant, danish, muffins, scones, pies, tortes, to name a few, are all temptingly beautiful and gorgeously delicious. try the tropezienne (a pastry cream-filled brioche, glazed with honey and slivered almonds) or the nutella-cheese danish. if you ever find yourself driving down main street in souderton, stop in and enjoy a treat they are closed on mondays ~ quel dommage!

Soooo good. Real French bread baked by a real French baker. cookies and pastries are fab. My favorite is the pumpkin choclate chip muffin! Dont expect to find donuts here, this is a real BAKERY. Regular customers get remembered and treated well. Souderton almost doesnt deserve something this good. I thought they would face a challenge based on the local tastes for chain food, but I was happily wrong. Souderton IS ready for quality food.

"La meilleure petite boulangerie dans la ville!" The best little bakery in town! Their variety of pasties, bread and seasonal items are all sweet and savory. By far the best almond croissants, rosemary focaccia and olive bread! They also carry a gluten free par-baked pizza crust frozen, which makes it great for those nights you're in a rush. But call a day in advance so they can prep it for you. Each pizza serves two. This place is cash or checks only.

Absolutely the best bread - ever. As mentioned before - a SOLID 5 stars. Two favorites: Asiago Sourdough and the 'beer' bread with cheddar..but really it is ALL good! Not to be outdone by the pastries...the chocolate croissants, pecan pies, scones, and flaky nutella cheese Danish! The staff is always helpful and ready to offer a sample of the bread on promotion that day! Oh yum! What makes me sad...they are CLOSED on Monday!

Fresh bread, pastries, muffins, scones, made on-premises. Download their daily bread schedule from their website. The chalkboard inside the store lists the day's breads which are erased as they are sold-out. This is small family-run business which occasionally closes for vacations, so call ahead or check their website. They e-mail order sheets for holiday pre-orders; they also e-mail vacation notices. Closed Mondays (and Tuesdays in the summer). Credit cards not accepted. Since 2007, this is the ONLY place we buy bread, worth every penny and every mile on our 10 mile trips to this bakery (still true after 5 years). We'll never go back to grocery store bread. We pre-order 4 to 6 loaves of Complet, sliced, we freeze them and thaw as needed over two weeks. The breads all freeze well and taste fresh-baked when reheated. "Complet" contains Quinoa, Spelt, Amaranth, Millet, Brown Rice, White & Wheat Flour, and is DELICIOUS. We also enjoy French Round, Cinnamon Raisin, Country Grain, Sesame Semolina, Sourdough Baguette w/ Spinach and Garlic, and Spelt breads as well as chocolate croissants and pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. You may find a better selection in the morning, though some breads don't come out of the oven until late morning. A solid five stars. Better than Paris.

I wish we had a bakery like this in South OC. I grew up in the area, and never imagined that such a gem would arise in humble Souderton. Stopped by during a visit to family and had their rye. It was the best I've ever had. They also do spelt on Saturday mornings. Check out their daily baking schedule. I'd be there weekly if I lived in the area. Very nice staff as well.
