Hubby said Menudo was very good. Not the best he has ever had. He likes it with chickpeas. Al Pastor taco was good. Salsas were good. Carne Asada and Pollo Asada were okay.

Nice atmosphere - no frills. The green salsa was incredible. I had the marinated pork burrito and my wife had the chicken tacos. We both loved our food. Definitely will be returning soon!

Very delicious! The whole place is very authentic as their food is tasty and spicy! I got the regular nachos and it was a very big platter, so much I couldn't eat it all! The prices are very low, high quality of food, low prices! We also got their milk cake, and wow... Can't believe how good it was. The whip cream wasn't too thick, wasn't too sugary, it was perfect! Not sure how they do it! The place is a little small considering how popular they are. The service is very friendly! Will come here more often!

OMG ,, Yum! Yum! Yum! Authentic mexican place - not a small dump, or truck or standing up take out spot, its official with little waitresses who dont even speak english, serving giant full portions of everything including a REALLY big cup of Horchata. The place is clean, telemundo is on and its very cheap for such a delicious heaping plate. I had the lengua burrito meal.. it was so damn good, so were the nachos! Aw man! I wish I could get some of this more often.

1 star because I'm obligated to leave at least a star. This place is by far the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. The meat (beef, chicken) smelled and tasted cheap. The manager wasn't accommodating !!! She was plain rude and didn't went to take back the food unless I paid for it. Now, why in the world would I pay for unsatisfactory food? Especially when I only tasted a piece of cheap meat. Ugh!!!! Disgusting!!! Poor customer service. I'm not sure how this place has 4.5 stars. Mind boggling!!! I would not recommend this pl to anyone. Not even my dog would be subjected to this food...

Ate here today and I was much less impressed. The service was pretty good and certain things good. The chips, horchata, and according to my companions the tacos were good. The guacamole was not good at all compared to before. The sauces on the meals seemed to be watered down too. I also ordered the flan which was different than before. A Mexican friend told me the last time she was there she was less impressed. I decided to see for myself and I agree. Sad.

This place was damn good. There are a lot of taquerias that have sprouted up in the burbs and we try to hit them all at least once. They all seem to have one AMAZING thing that the other doesn't have. In this case, it's the chicharones quesadilla. UNREAL. Loved the complimentary chips/guac/and sauces. Could've drank a gallon of the verde sauce. The al pastor was also exceptional. Nice, comfortable atmosphere, too. Definitely will spread the word about this place, and will be back.

Thank you yelp. While staying in Quakertown for work I found this little gem on yelp, and it was the best meal I had all week. I went with my tried and true - steak tacos, a side of fried rice, and the largest horchata they could give me. And...oh my god. Everything was just so delicious and fresh. The service was amazing, too - my coworker ordered chicken, they brought chicken, and he claimed he ordered steak. Although I told him he was the f up, they offered to remake the dish, even asking again when we were midway through our meal and his pouty ass hadn't touched a thing. In the end, I got more than enough delicious food, friendly service, and was able to taunt my idiot coworker with my steak goodness (although the chicken looked tasty, too) for less than $10. That's a win.

Now I know what my friends from Philly feel like trying to find a good cheese steak in San Diego. I did the opposite and tried to find a taste of San Diego during my recent visit to Philadelphia. Thanks to Yelp I didn't have to search very far. The only thing really missing on the menu was rolled tacos. This place more than made up for it with their other menu items. I tried the chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. The mole was tasty but didn't quite have that deep chocolatey chili flavor. It was more than adequate though, tasting very much like what I'm accustomed to eating in California. This place has the whole gamut of menu items ranging from tortas, tacos and burritos to mariscos, desserts (tres leches!) and beverages. They had horchata, tamarindo, guyabano and much more.

This is the most authentic Mexican I've had in the northeast and it is in a seemingly random place! I had the tostada, sope and taco, and they were delicious. The gigantic horchata was a tad too sweet, but I still gulped it down. The service was courteous and efficient. I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

Good food and friendly staff. Chips and guacamole were served when we were seated. The chips were okay - the fryer grease should probably be changed, but the guacamole was good. Ordered the carne asada burrito: slices of fresh avocado and lettuce which were good; large pieces of onion which were too big, and carne that was was a little fatty. Tortillas were fresh. I will go back, but probably order something different and I still recommend this restaurant as it is close to what I used to eat regularly in Sonora, Mex.

Wife comes here all the time because she works in Qtown and brought me today for the first time. Great tacos with real beef chunks. I would def come back again.

Simple, easy authentic fun. Definitely the ONLY place to do Mexican food in Quakertown - forget the other imposters

I'm a SoCal native, who grew up with this food. Both eating it and making it. In more than 20 years living in the Mid Atlantic region, this is the single best example of Mexican food that I have had. It's a great bargain, because to get better you'd have to buy an airline ticket to Los Angeles. I had 3 tacos; carnitas, carne asada, and chorizo. Excellent quality and presentation. The "garnish" was a high point, too. Looking forward to going back.

Had lunch here with the family. Authentic food (I had the tongue burrito - was excellent) served by very nice people in a small, hole-in-the-wall place. The portions were good and the prices were low. I would go back.

Hands down the best mexican I have had in the states. The enchilada's carne asada are to die for! The liquados are delicious also!

Good authentic Mexican tacos, tortas and cemitas. I like the huitlacoche quesadillas and the barbacoa cemitas especially.

Real food, not processed, even the sauce and tortillas are made on the spot. The owners very very nice, including their young son. In terms of the taste: excellent, and selection was amazing. My only gripe, more pictures in the menus because a lot of things overlap (i.e., Taco with Chicken, Enchilada with Chicken). I don't know what an Enchilada looks like (at least I didn't at the time). The owner said that the food is like the food they eat in Mexico. I'm giving it 5 starts because of its authenticity and great taste.

Solid Mexican in Quakertown. Got a carne asada burrito, nopales and cebollines, and an agua fresca. The burrito was great: good carne asada, fresh vegetables and guacamole. Interestingly, they use queso Oaxaca, which I've never had on a burrito, but damn if it doesn't work! The nopales were fresh and tasty, served in big slabs rather than the cut up version I usually see. The agua de sandia (watermelon) was so good and really freshly made. I was worried they would just be pouring it from a pitcher made days earlier, but they made it fresh. Awesome. I'm going back today to see if the guayaba and fresa are just as good!

This is everything you would typically get in a Mexican restaurant. The al pastor and beef tacos were extremely good. My girl didnt care for the Grilled chicken burrito (pollo) at all, although the Mexican rice on the outside put a different spin to the meal. Burrito was more like a chicken wrap than actual burrito though. Service was courteous and friendly, but a little bit lacking while not paying more attention to the customers.

We stopped here tonight with the kids. It's a small, homey place. Menu is to the point. We were greeted with chips and salsa, guacamole and salsa verde. The salsa verde was fantastic. Three of us had tacos. The shrimp taco was delicious. The chicken and beef were also very good. The tacos were loaded and very filling, the salsa verde elevated all of the taco options. The shrimp burrito was also good. The prices were fair. Not super cheap but not overly pricey. Extra bonus was the Mexican sodas with natural sugar. We loaded up our bill trying the different varieties and took one home to make a fine rum and coke with. Overall, this place is recommended and we will be back. The best Mexican fare in Quakertown that we've had.

Best Mexican food in Quakertown. That is saying a lot as a number of places have sprouted in the past years. What is lacked in decor is made up by good old home cooking. I never miss an opportunity to stop by. A wonderful addition to a community that was a wasteland of fast food dreck. This changes that. I get nostalgic as it reminds me of my mother's cooking. Her family is from AZ and visiting her family exposed be to cooking of this flavor and quality.

My favorite place for tacos..north of Florida. Has authentic Mexican food. This is not a fancy restaurant but if you are looking for a true Mexican experience in Pennsylvania...this is it. My favorite is the 3 taco platter.

Food's great and authentic, but the waitress had an attitude, like we were an inconvenience to her just for being there. That would be my one deterrent from going again.

I love this place. They have authentic tacos, good sized platters and the service is pleasant and helpful. I love tongue tacos, and this place makes them great. I had a very good braised pork chop platter that was very tasty. The prices are good, maybe a $1 more than comparable places. The only thing I wish is that it was bigger. If you have a large party, it'd be hard to accommodate. Highly recommend.

Authentic Mexican food in Quakertown ? Yeah, hard to believe but it exists at Tijuana Tacos. I usually order the chicken tacos and the tostados. I have seen the transformation of this place from a average Mexican restaurant into a very good Mexican Restaurant. The Mexican place in Coopersburg is better in my opinion but this place is great for lunch or a quick local dinner. Decor is simple and the staff here is friendly. Good spot.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
