When we are in the mood for a quiet, warm, cozy, friendly place- THIS IS IT!! The food is absolutely melt in your mouth amazing. The family that runs it is wonderful and they not only own it but they are the servers and cooks! truly a family place! love to support them and keep them in business. The chicken Saltimboca is my favorite! their brucscette is amazing too ! love that it's BYOB. PIZZA- amazing! we've been coming here for about 6 years and it's never dissapointed. we brought our 12 month old a while back and they treated us no differently because we had a child, which is a breath of fresh air. cant wait to go back soon! i'm craving it! it seems every time we are here, there is a big table with people they know! love it!

Went there with a group of friends for a nice holiday get together. The wait staff was extremely inattentive, took over 45 minutes for them to take our order after repeatedly saying we wanted to order. On the menu they had a Caesar salad for $8.95. I asked for that with a piece of grilled chicken. My friends all had appetizers, entree meals and dessert. I only had the salad. When I got my bill it was over $25!!! For a Grilled Chicken Salad?? When I questioned how my salad could be so much when the regular salad without Chicken was only $8.95 the waiter rather rudely told me that I had "a salad and a chicken entree".. I said what entree? You put a piece of chicken on a salad. I asked for the manager and it took another 20 minutes for him to come back, put the check in front of me and say that he took $3 off and that was the best he could do! Who ever heard of a $25 grilled chicken salad? NOT amused with their customer service, their "don't care" attitude or the fact that they didn't tell me that the "piece of chicken" would cost $15 on top of the salad cost. My bill was more expensive than my friends who had 3 courses! Will never go here again, nor would I ever recommend them. Food wasn't that good, portion was rather small and the rudeness was unbelievable!

I happened upon this place by chance, I ordered a pizza for take out. After having this I realized it has been a very long time since I had pizza this good. Simply outstanding. They were very accommodating. Nice atmosphere. Their menu is amazing. Can't wait to try an entrée. YUM!

I have to comment on the review from JM and the response from "Anna C" I was part of the group in question-- and Anna has tried to twist things. Our group was comprised of managers (mid level to senior staff) that travel all over the USA for work and over HALF based locally. I am from Doylestown --where we have plenty of places to spend our money on dining out. Needless to say, I have no reason to come back here. We were a late seated party (almost 9 PM) & we ordered a number of appetizers to get us started. At that time a request for some bread... (yes all this is about $1 worth of bread) ... nothing was said about a "policy". After waiting... we asked the waitress again and the response was crazy... she ended up yelling about "How could you treat a human this way"... really? All we did was ask for some bread as it was late..... A late dinner after working all day. Next came the VERY sarcastic remarks from the "owner". She said in her comment "Up to this point, no staff member ever asked you to leave"...Sorry, you kept saying over And over, "if you don't like it leave"..... All over BREAD.... Really???? At the end, while we waited outside for some to use the restroom - yes when some did go back to use the restroom when it was free. A simple question of what is the logic was asked? We had ordered food, we had a big group...What is the logic of saying NO to bread.... Then a large guy came out to the parking lot dropping F-Bombs and threatening to Kick our A--. Anna's quote of "we did not want an escalation of the situation" Came from the "son" (as he said") coming after us... .NO ONE touched any waitress.. The quote from Anna of "On the contrary, a gentleman hovered over a young female wait staff's face and touched her" Is a out & out lie. ... I had my cell phone video going for proof as this was soooo crazy. The "owner" could have made this entire thing end after 10 seconds... seeing 7 busniess people, well dressed,,, With AMX card... make the customers happy... IT WAS JUST A LOAF OF BREAD. We made point NOT to eat it when it finally came. This has now become a joke for us- as we eat in places and email photos of the bread basket delivered to the table soon as the waiter comes up for the drink order. Last night even in a Cuban place in NJ. BTW- the food was good...not"phenomenal". Go to New York, New Jersey or even Doylestown...for better. AND they hit was with a 18% group tip, with no way to adjust..

Overall a very good experience. This was my first time here after hearing many good things. I loved the ambiance, felt very homey in the dining room. The salmon and shrimp that I had was very good and perfectly cooked. Oh and the fried mozzarella appetizer is to die for. Very highly recommend trying that! I look forward to coming back here to try something different!

I've been here countless times. The food is fantastic. The bruschetta is awesome. I always get the risotto special and I leave so happy. The portions are not big like most Italian places which is slightly disappointing because the food is so good. The gnocchi is handmade and melts in your mouth. The pizza is good as well. The prices are fair for the level of quality and freshness of the food. It is a family run place. It is not a huge place so if you don't have a reservation sometimes you wait. If you think Olive Garden is good then this isn't your place. This is authentic Italian. And their bread is way better, too.

Wow...what a let down. The wife and I actually had two encounters at this restaurant. The first time we went, we did not have reservations. The woman at the front desk/table said it would only be 20 minutes. Not a big deal, so we waited. After 30 minutes we asked for an update and were told we would get a table soon. After another 10 minutes, we told the woman at the front to take our names off of the list, that we were leaving. She said fine!...with an attitude. Second Visit: The only reason we came the second time was because we received a gift card from my in-laws. The food was really nothing to brag about and was overpriced. It was way too dark in the dining room and there was also a draft. One review prior to mine said that you're better off at the Olive Garden, which is true, however, the closet Olive Garden from Quakertown is in Whitehall. Honestly, the best Italian food in Quakertown and Upper Bucks is Dominick's in downtown Quakertown. The prices are excellent and the quality and taste of the food is second to none. Needless to say, we will not be coming back to La Campagna...

You're better off at the Olive Garden.... Food was nothing special, service was terrible, way too dark in the dining room. Would not go back or recommend this to a friend.

A cozy and casual little Italian place and it felt like I had to go over the river and through the woods to get there. Once I did, I was very pleased with my meal. My gnocchi with veal, spinach and fennel ragu was great and memorable. We started with a very good eggplant and mozzarella dish. Overall, a good experience. Next time I hope we can sit by the fireplace.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
