My husband and I have been going to Bunha Faun for years. It is one of our favorite places.A byob with excellent service and wonderful food.New Year's Eve was very busy but the staff handled the crowd without difficulty.....Five Stars to staff and Chef!!!

Great atmosphere. I love the fact that it is BYOB. The server was very nice. When it gets busy, the service gets slow cause they only have ONE server for the whole floor. The food is very tasteful but a little too salty for my taste. Besides the fact that it is quite pricey, the major down side is the location. It is in the middle of no where!! It was so dark at night we missed it twice. I would said it is a very pleasant experience overall but doesn't worth my hour drive there.

For Wifey's birthday dinner, we ventured down rt 30 in Frazer to Bunha Faun. Located in an old Dairy Queen style Ice Cream building, no frills exterior, and simple interior decor. A few reviews had negative comments about the building/decor, YOU CAN'T EAT the walls. Service was extremely slow. Maybe this is a BYOB pace which we never BYOB. We go for food. Black angel hair pasta appetizer with crab meat was outstanding (no picture) wifey had curry of chicken, very good, I had Sauteed Shrimp, Scallops & Artichoke very good, warm bread was very good, Served with scallops potato and string beans - two cokes $65.. only real negative, it took over 70 minutes to get our dinner, when we walked in there were 4 other tables. this is a BYOB and mostly 60+ in age,,, ONLY open 5-9 S-Th 5-10 F-S

Had the pleasure recently of dining here for the 2nd time. Was a Thursday evening and reasonably busy, about 1/2 full. As with the prior visit at least on Thursdays they clientele tends to retirees or older folks with their adult sons and daughters. Have to disagree somewhat with the previous reviewer they advertise as French with an Oriental Flair (on the sign outside). I studied French and took a French cooking class in High School (a long time ago!). The emphasis is on French cuisine with Asian influences with some Asian stand alone items. As before my server was Nissa, a very pleasant and efficient young lady. Very knowledgeable about the menu items. Be sure to consider the specials, they have many starters and entrees daily. This time I choose the Oriental Noodles as my appetizer and the Escalop of Veal as my entree. The veal was outstanding, I really enjoyed it. For dessert had the Creme Brulee which I'd rate as very good, but not the best I've ever had (we all know there are many, many version of Creme Brulee). My previous visit I had Red Pepper Soup, a Fried Oysters appetizer, and the Stuffed Trout (mushrooms, spinach, and sundried tomatoes IIRC). All were specials of the day and equally outstanding. Had a mixed Sorbet for dessert that time. White tablecloths and candlelight but not overally "fancy", not stuffy. The napkins fashioned into the shape of a duck are a nice touch. The warm bread is really tasty. Portions are smaller so be sure to have a starter with your entree. Not your cheapest option but certainly appropriate for the outstanding food and level of service that you receive here. Oh yes, BYOB, and I've yet to see a table there that hadn't brought at least one bottle of wine. Highly recommended and wish I lived closer!

I am almost afraid to write a review for this wonderful gem, because I don't want too many people to know about it. You wouldn't know it's here, Unless you know about it. Really. It is so non-descript. I think this used to be the old Pizza Hut building. And if you squint, you can imagine it. Unfortunately the interior does need some updating, some painting and some dusting. But let's talk about the food and the service. It has a Asian/French flavor. We arrived for a mid week reservation and the place was near empty. But by the time our waiter had recited the 6 or 7 daily entrée specials...........yes...6 or 7....the place was starting to fill up. I had the scallops with shrimp in a lemon garlic sauce with chives. My husband had the French onion soup and sea bass. Friends has the snow pea / mushroom appetizer , arugula salad, green angel hair pasta, and another entrée (sorry, I forget). Everything was delicious. But I have to tell you there was no room for dessert after we all dipped our bread into the sauce from my seafood entrée. The service was exceptionally polite and attentive. We don't come here often, but when we do, we enjoy it

It is apparent that this place was formally a Pizza Hut or some other sort of chain restaurant from the shape of the building (if you have never been, trust me you can tell). However they have somehow managed to transform this place into a Thai-French fusion fine dining BYOB. The food was more French fare highlighted by Thai sauces and spices. The sauces were to die for and mixed beautifully in the entrees. I had one of the specials - salmon topped with crabmeat in a creamy, spicy sauce. It took a lot for me not to lick the plate. My husband had the Escalop of Veal - which he thoroughly enjoyed, and also had to prevent himself from drinking the sauce off the plate, but did order extra bread to soak it up. Wonderful food, reasonably priced, continuous customer flow, but the decor could use some work. A bit outdated style, the white tablecloths just don't work anymore. I feel like a restaurant makeover could make the venue match up to the delicious food that they serve.

As it says 5 stars means as good as it gets. I had a veal chop that was to die for with a sauce that was perfect. My wife had scallops and shrimp. We both had Cream of Mushroom Soup, which is better that I can make. The food is rich (very) as is a lot of French cuisine. The wait staff was excellent and the table was set with a linen table cloth, which is a plus. If you are looking for atmosphere, don't go. But, if you are looking for great food (asian/french) this place is really good. We got out of there for $75 plus tip which is a good value considering... BYOB - Casual attire - limited seating but quiet. Excellent!!!

I went here about 15 years ago and just went back tonight. The food was good, the service efficient, but the restaurant freezing cold. They did light the fireplace upstairs to warm it up a little, and by the end of the meal we could take our coats off. The soups (mushroom and french onion) were fabulous, as was the black pasta appetizer. I would go back to make a meal out of the apps, which I liked better than the main dishes (shrimp and scallops, roasted duck, red tail fish, and veal scallopini were the mains at our table).

This place was a little confusing, but the food was good. If you ever get really bored on the mainline, I'd recommend this place. Otherwise, you could probably find better food at a lower price. The service was spot on, and while the sign for the place says Thai/French, it's really mostly French with some Thai inspiration. In fact while we were there, a couple left because there wasn't enough Thai, and they were in the mood for Thai. The dishes we got were 50/50. One was really good, one was really bland. The soups were spectacular. They have a pretty small menu, but they had a lot of specials, particularly seafood. The environment is weird, but they have candles at the table which make the place 100% more romantic.
