I moved to Lansdale a few months ago and I must say, the staff at Round Guys has certainly helped make this town feel like home! Everyone behind the bar is welcoming and friendly and more than willing to offer advice about which of their many beers to try according to your tastes, favorite beers, etc. In addition to the large selection of brews, the food is delicious. Come on a Taco Tuesday, you won't be disappointed! All in all, Round Guys is a great little brewery, so why not support a unique local business?

Sitting at the bar now. The wallflower wheat is pretty good. Atmosphere is chill. Music selection is awesome. Bartender is exactly the personality you want in this place. Smells from the kitchen are delicious. Beer is clearly a passion for them. You can see the brew stations from the bar. With a little tweaking they may really have something excellent here.

I really wanted to like this place with such few brewing companies in my area but the only positives are that that it looks like a cool building from the outside and the waitress was nice (although a little in attentive). First, the beer was just okay. All agreed the brown ale was the best. I usually love pumpkin beer, but didn't like theirs at all. I usually hate IPAs because of the hops but didn't mind theirs (my husband didn't enjoy it and he usually loves IPAs). The worst part was the fruit flies, which seemed as if they were attacking us. We had to protect our beers from them. Our food took a long time to come out and was overpriced for what we got. 8 bucks for a "panini" which was just a small melt with regular bread, COLD chili, and tasteless potato salad. They had a band playing, which would normally be cool but the place is so small that we had to shout at each other.

Great weekly beers on tap. Scott the owner is a really nice dude and very knowledgable about his brews. Captain black and west coast IPA are my favorites.

Sampled everything they had on tap. Some definitely better than others. Liked the berliner weiss even though I usually don't care for this style. Fatbob Tripel was kind of bland; lacking any distinct flavor profile. Saison also lacked any outstanding characteristics. Slacker Ale was nice but nothing special. Alpha Blackback IPA was the best; with a nice hop profile and richness from chocolate malts. This is a winner.

Have been to Round Guys a total of three times. You go for the beer not for the food. They open at noon on weekends and 4pm on weekdays. Parking is street parking. The beers are ok. They make a good berlinerweisse, but the bottle they sold me that I took away had no carbonation. The other beers I have had there on cask have been ok to good. The Porter was good, the Alt was not characteristic of the style, lacked the malty backbone and didnt taste as if they had used German hops to make it. Their session beer, the so called Original Slacker was a very nice beer. The food is limited to pannini and hot dogs. The latter are cooked on a roller machine and the only toppings available are yellow mustard, relish and onions. I hope they will continue to improve both the beers and the food.

Absolutely terrible experience last time I was here. Happened to be a day that a brewery and wine tour bus was visiting. A friend and I waited 20 minutes for a bartender or server before we left all while the people on the brewery and wine tour were pampered to whatever needs they had. Tables were even arranged for the people on the tour so that we could not access the bar.

As part of my continuing effort to get buzzed at every microbrewery in Southeastern PA, I came here last night with my father to try more craft beer. A quick point: Round Guys' entrance is actually on the WOOD STREET side of the building, so if you're looking for them on Main, walk 'round the nearest corner and take a peek. Their mailing address is possibly their worst enemy. Now, the bar! You can tell walking in that Round Guys is a working production brewery; not only are there massive plate windows of the production room overlooking the bar, but the taproom is only just starting to develop an atmosphere. They've built a beautiful bar, but for now the rest of the room lags behind that masterpiece in developing a "bar" feel. This is the only problem I have with the place, and it's not a big one. The good news: after trying the beer, you won't care. We opted to try everything they had in the normal order, light to dark, saving their specialties for last. Remembering the shortcomings of my last brewery review, I opted this time to take some notes before getting drunk. From those, I give you reviews of Round Guys' on-tap selection: First, the Mini-Bob: a subtly spicy scent (legacy, I was told, of the Ardennes yeast used to brew) leads into a light, crisp body and a tangy, fruity aftertaste. Surprisingly dark in color, the relatively low ABV (4.0%) and light body make this a pleasant summer beer; perfect for having just set foot inside from the scorching/humid outdoors. Next up, the Wild Eye Series #3: This was a blonde ale with similar weight as the Mini-Bob, but very different characteristics. Hops and citrus dominated the scent, while the first sip brought lemon and yeast to the palette, fading into a slightly sour, yeasty aftertaste. Deceptively light-tasting, but at 6.5% ABV, this seems a very good way to get painfully drunk on a hot summer evening without noticing. From here, the Buh-Nana Hammock Saison: This beer is deceptive; the odor is almost purely hops, the flavor is almost all citrus, and the aftertaste is both. Additionally, it tastes fresh and crisp, but actually comes in at 7.1% ABV... maybe I would have done better to say that this beer is dangerous. Next on the list was the Hammeziet: By comparison to some of the others, this seemed rather plain and one-dimensional, with the scent and initial flavor dominated entirely by malt, and the aftertaste being somewhat bitter. I'm probably not the person to talk to about darker beers; they're not my thing. My father, with much more experience than I, rather liked it. To him, it wasn't overpoweringly bitter like many other darker beers. (ABV 6.5%) The final beer in our original plan was the Alpha Blackback IPA: Medium-bodied and not completely dominated by hops flavors, this was a very unorthodox IPA. I liked it, quite a bit, probably because it wasn't typical and I'm not a fan of typical IPA's. It had a less bitter aftertaste than is normal for an IPA, and at 82 IBU's, is rated fairly mildly. (ABV 7.4%) Having reached this point, we decided to sample the specialties that were on tap: the cask-conditioned Sticke Blonde and the German Sour-Style. The Sticke Blonde was naturally carbonated and conditioned, then pumped by hand, producing a musty scent and an amazingly smooth, almost *creamy* body, followed up by a slightly bitter aftertaste. (ABV 6.5%) By far the most interesting experience of the night, though, was the Berlinerweiss (ABV 3.0%), the sour beer. If you decide to order this, you need to order a flight of samples, because it comes in four variations. -The basic beer: It tastes *remarkably* like a sugarless lemonade with just a hint of grain. It's so tart, yet works so well, that I'm forced to take back the statement I made at Prism about beer not tasting like warheads. It is, on its own, definitely a sipping beer. -The Himbeer: Flavored with raspberry syrup, it was (surprise) very like raspberry lemonade, with more tang and less sugar. I'm probably secure enough in my masculinity to drink something pink, because it's so damned good. -The Waldmeister: Flavored with woodruff syrup, its flavor is dominated by a slightly sweet, crisp, fresh note which reminds me vaguely of cucumber. It also invokes a huge sense of deja vu involving candy, somehow, but I've no idea why. If you figure out what it smells like, TELL ME. This is driving me nuts. - Lastly, one flavored with elderberry: Honestly, had you placed this in front of me and asked me what it was, "beer" would have been pretty far down my list of answers. This is not a bad thing: It tastes and feels like a tart but very sweet berry wine. To summarize: Round Guys stands in complete contrast to Prism, choosing to brew mostly traditional beers, sometimes putting their own imprint on them. Nonetheless, they brew these beers well, with a flair for tradition and technical competence that leave me wanting to try their next batch.

Showed up at 6:45pm today to find a "sorry we are closed" sign hanging next to the hours of operation sign saying they close at 8pm. Walked around the building to see if there was another entrance. At that time I saw inside a bartender behind the bar, 3 people sitting at the bar drinking as well as a dog sitting on a bar stool (beagle mix??). I walked back around to the entrance to be greeted by "the bartender " who said "sorry we are closed". Not a great first experience to a bar for a lazy bartender to close early to host a drinking party for his friends and a dog at the bar.. Will update IF I try again.

We ran across this taproom when we jumped off the turnpike in Lansdale to find an early dinner. Hit their doors 5 min after they opened. Found the staff incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable about beer. He asked my husband's taste in beer then gave three samples so he can choose his preference. Their menu has many selections that will please and be enhanced by their great choices in beer and mead. My husband, a Yuengling drinker, particularly enjoy the Fat Bob Belgium Tripel (brought home a 6pk). For food we enjoyed paninis and soup and our 12 yr old thought the hot dogs were great. Sandwiches were very tasty and fresh. Kettle chips and pickles on the side were bright & crisp. And though we didn't try them, they even make cupcakes from the spent grains. Clean, with lots of stools at the bar. Live open jazz jam noted on Wednesdays. Makes us wish we lived closer to Lansdale.

We had a restaurant.com certificate so we decided to try it. Although the address is Main St., it's actually off Main on a side street. There was a lot nearby so parking wasn't too much of an issue. When we got inside it was 'seat yourself'. That should have been my first clue this was more of a bar than a restaurant. Inside it was small and clean. Not much style or decoration but I prefer cleanliness anyway. There was one server working the bar as well as several other tables. We were acknowledged about 5 mins after we sat and 5 mins later she asked if we needed a menu. We made our decisions quickly since we had reviewed the menu online beforehand. I ordered the french dip, my husband ordered the longhorn, which was basically a roast beef hoagie and we ordered Mac and cheese for my son. I expected Mac and cheese to be the frozen variety but what I didn't expect was 25 mins after we put in our order for them to come out to tell us they were out of the Mac and cheese! When the food arrived, it did taste good. The roast beef was lean and tender, although it was cold, which I didn't expect for a french dip, and the cheese wasn't melted on. The lone server was pleasant and I believe trying her best. The man who came out to tell us they were out of Mac and cheese seemed put out but I'm guessing he wasn't typically customer facing. I should mention we're not drinkers so the beer offerings were a little lost on us but after going to Iron Hill Brewery or Appalachian Brewing Company, I expected a little more. If you're there to simply sit and drink, you may be able to overlook the (un)timeliness of service but based on what I received (or didn't - no napkins?!?) it wasn't an even trade.

Don't go there if you have kids - husband and child decided to try after work one night. This place might seem friendly to those with kids but it is not. Peeked at their menu online and saw that they have a kids menu like some other brewpub restaurants. But based on our experience tonight this place was not respectful to this family. Not going back and am sure to tell my friends to avoid.

So, I moved away from the area four years ago and made a trip back to Lansdale to see old friends and re-live some old times. Was surprised to see that the area has actually added a few nightlife spots to make a pub crawl feasible and the old crew decided to make a go of it. One of our stops was Round Guys. As a homebrewer and beer lover, I would have loved to have a place like this around before we left. When we showed on a Saturday night, they actually had a cover band playing which added to the fun time. Here are my (hazy) notes: - Place was hot inside...Was a late June evening, but some kind of air conditioning in the serving room would be nice. - Beer was very good. As a recent convert to the Berliner Weisse style of beer, I was actually excited to find a place that decided to make it the flagship. It's a sour, lighter beer style that is lower in ABV. Very refreshing. For the ladies that do not like beer, they actually flavor the beer in Raspberry to make it very palatable (you need to ask). Also had a cask conditioned ale (it was OK) and 2 IPA's...To be honest, this wasn't the first stop and the IPA's hit me especially hard...Enjoyed them and would certainly have again, but memory is hazy. - Darts! Anyplace that has darts as an option always has a place in my heart. This has the arcade variety with the plastic tips. All good... That's about it...Think I saw a jukebox as well, but band rendered that option moot. Place has a very clean, modern, bright look and bartenders were very responsive (esp. with the place being very crowded). Will definitely be stopping by again when I make it back to Lansdale...Things like this make me wish I never left!

Came here for lunch on Presidents Day. Place wasn't crowded so the owner indulged our questions while pouring the large draft flight. There was every brew on tap in the taster. The owner also gave us a couple extra of the Berliner weiss with flavor shots added. We ordered the pretzel bites stuffed with buffalo cheese and bacon. They were excellent. We knew they were fresh as they just ran over to the pretzel factory to get them. Also split one of pulled pork paninis which was equi-good.

  • Traci T.

Great beer and really good food! My husband and I each had a flight of four beers. All excellent except I wasn't a fan of the sour beers but he enjoyed them. He got the Hasselhoff (German cheesesteak) which was different and delicious. I got the Pretender. Good as well. Sides were potatoes salad, cabbage and chili. To add to a unique menu, the desserts were all homemade with their beers. Recommend the pumpkin pecan pie and Amateur hour cheesecake.

This place is just wonderful. We ordered a couple flights and the nachos, all of which were wonderful! They have mastered more than a couple styles of beer and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly and the right amount of attentive. I recommend the Amateur Hour Russian imperial stout, well balanced and not too heavy tasting.

Love the armature hour. Taco Tuesday is a must. Mug club is defiantly worth it for 20 bucks a year. Especially if you're a local.

I found out about Round Guys on Untapped. Once I read through the beer list I was beyond excited to visit. This place is absolutely great. We came in Wednesday night to celebrate my birthday. At first I was worried that a party of 9 twenty something would have been too large, but the staff was cool with us pushing tables together. There was still plenty of room and the place wasn't overly crowded. The atmosphere at Round Guys is really nice. Every Wednesday they have jazz night, which really added to our experience. My only complaint about the music was that it was a little loud which made it hard to hear each other. The fact that it was good jazz more than made up for it. The waitress/bartender was nice even though she was super busy. Now onto the beer! I did a full flight which has their 14 beers. It was reasonably priced at $20. Their beer styles ranged from sour to stout and everything in between. I was excited to try the Berliner Weisse style. They have a non flavored, a woodruff (green), and a raspberry(?, pink) varieties. I lived in Berlin and was impressed with how authentic Round Guys' Berliner Weisse tasted, it was very similar to Berliner Kindl Weisse. I can't wait to come back in the summer when it's good weather for that style of beer. I like every beer that I tried, which says a lot because usually I'm not a huge fan of stouts or IPAs. I really liked the Fat Bob Slim, Sundown Saison, and Kiss Off IPA. That being said, there wasn't a beer in the flight that I didn't enjoy. They also had mead, wine, and cider which I didn't try. The food is also good. I had their special of pork sliders. The German potato salad was delicious, not too vinegary. If you're in the area or willing to make the trip, check out Round Guys. The beer alone makes it worth it, but add in good service, atmosphere, and food to make it a great experience!

Everything would have been perfect if it wasn't for the fact that it was about 200 degrees in this place. Our waitress was really sweet and eager to do a good job but she was also in charge of refilling growlers, working at the bar and waiting tables. I can't blame her for the eternity that it took to get a menu and place our orders. Honestly it is not her fault. She was very efficient considering all the jobs that she was doing. The beer was very good and the nachos and bacon wrapped pretzels were the bomb! I will definitely come back, but I will make sure that is freezing outside to appreciate the subtropical temperature in this place.

Went there for Kinky Quizzo. Arrived early to meet with a group, I arrived about 20 minutes after the group did. Unfortunately, it took 30 minutes for me to even get a drink order in, it seemed the one waitress was very busy pouring flights and half flights for other customers (including my group). I had the bacon pretzel bites, and a 'cheesesteak', with cole slaw and chips. The cheesesteak looked like chopped mystery meat and no cheese, wholly unappetizing looking. All of the food was incredibly salty, even the coleslaw, but yes, I ate it. I asked for dessert, no dessert, as the dessert maker was on vacation. I asked for extra popcorn for our group, was denied, didn't realize there was a limit. Our table was very polite and well behaved so I am not sure why we were so casually treated. I would not travel an hour each way and pay $3.40 in tolls to go there again. In reply, I was 'complimented' by the waitress saying the way I looked I didn't need dessert, anyway. I did not realize 18% was a poor tip, but apparently so. And her opinion of my being 'high maintenance' and not to come back clearly showed during the service. That's a shame, and therefore I won't be changing the star rating on the review, but I did edit it to include her comments and defense. I agree with other reviewers that there is an understaffing problem.

I was out here for a wedding and was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of their beers!! We tried all of them and their sour beer was fantastic. 4 stars b/c the food isn't great.

Great local pub with an industrial feel. Good selection of brewed beers on property. Friendly staff - look for the Bespoke Bacon specials.

Saw the positive reviews and wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately they were very understaffed and we ended up leaving without a drink. I don't doubt that the beer is good but they definitely need more wait staff.

Still going strong here and a little change in the menu these days, more of a German influence with pretzels and beer cheese, and a Hasselhoff sandwich. Kinky Trivia is still a blast and they have lots of events, so check out their website!

Have been to this place numerous times and we really like it! The food is decent and the beer is really good. My boyfriend and I got a full flight last night and holy crap! It was 13 samples! Most of them were good but I'm not much of a sour beer girl and that's what 4 of them were. I would say their winter beer is better than their summer beers. This place has a good atmosphere and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone in the Lansdale area that doesn't want to go to Molly Mcguires.

  • Laura F.

So very very awesome. Quite small (but cozy) and the menu on which almost every item somehow incorporates beer is tasty. We loved the bacon wrapped cheese/beer stuffed pretzel bites we ordered a second helping and the nachos were fantastic also. We tried the full flight, which I highly recommend for the pure experience of having a rainbow of beers sitting on your table! Service was speedy and friendly. Love this place!

  • L B.

For regulars only, apparently. I came with a party of three couples and we couldn't get any of the staff to acknowledge our presence, let alone wait on us. The small place was not even half full, and both bartender and waiter saw us attempting to get their attention, but never greeted us or gestured to us, smiled, frowned, flipped us off, or anything, they either looked away or simply walked past as though we weren't there. We all felt very unwelcome. After fifteen minutes we gave up and left. It was one of the stranger experiences I've had in a restaurant.

  • Shan V.

Some of the most amazing beers I've had! The amateur hour is anything but! Their porter that's bottled, is in a word superfantasticspecial. I really enjoy the variety of brews on tap. The food is amazing. I mean talk about good creme fraiche. If I could bathe my body in the buffalo dip, I would. My only complaint was the night of the drag show some dude kept complaining loudly about how none of the queens would talk to him. He threw such a fuss then started complaining about his beer. Which was weird because we had the same one and coming from a craft beer/microbrew background I can say his claims of it tasting like metal and shit were completely unfounded. How does anyone know what metal and shit tastes like!?

    (5)
  • Anthony P.

Worst beer in the world, tastes like metal and shit. Served almost warm by less than enthused staff. Drag show once a month is such a bad bad idea. The queens are awful talentless and locals who think this place is the living end. The food is just ok. Not anything great but it's eatable. All in all, this place is horrible. Don't drop a dime or a minute of your time.

Stopped by at the end of a long day of brewery tours/tastings in the area Was a pretty packed place/loud music and a very enthusiastic/overwhelmed bar back The food is bleh but I wouldn't expect much --you come here for the BEER! Large variety of beer--we did the full flight but I remember lots of good things but only one great thing--their sours Will definitely go back to buy more Berlinerweisses!

Excellent beer selection brewed onsite. Did not eat here as I had reservations around the corner, but looked like a good selection of bar food - can't go wrong with a place that names a sandwich after Iggy Pop. It also seemed like they were going to play vinyl for their music. It would be cool to host different nights with guest DJs bringing their own records. Hope this place stays around.

  • Claire G.

Loved the beer (OMG my Kiss Off IPA was delicious). Loved the food. Loved the atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The chef (I think it was the chef) even came out of the kitchen to double-check my order to make sure she got it right - and she did - it was delicious. But, please, do something about the lack of air conditioning. We were sweating the whole time. Kinda spoiled an otherwise great family get-together. How about buying a couple of big floor fans??

  • lisa s.

I can only give this brewery 3 stars. while their beer choices are many and the two samples I had were actually very good their food was not that pleasing. I was highly disappointed in the sandwich I had. It was dry and not very "tasty". There was a band there the night I was there, which was a nice addition, but the place is so small and the acoustics so poor that I had to literally scream to be heard by my friend sitting right next to me. Go for the beer and go before the band starts playing.

  • Ali B.

I'll start off by saying that as someone that doesn't normally like beer, I love the ones they brew here! They even make their own root beer. Not only that but the $1 taco Tuesday is amazeballs! The food is pretty amazing ( they have a lot is tasty appetizers and sammiches ) and the entire staff is so friendly I don't feel uncomfortable at all. Even when it's full the patrons aren't obnoxious and the noise level is never intolerable. It'll be great when the outdoor seating is available!

Stopped by with some relatives from out of town and was treated by the brewmaster to an awesome mixology lesson. He hooked us up with some great shots of the brews on tap. If you are in the area check this place out! The beers are great and the staff is friendly. Great atmosphere and great menu.

You guys are doing great work with your beers and doing unique things. I appreciate the work you put into the craft and how welcome you made us feel during our visit. Samples were generous and if you're looking for a place to go to try unique brews and be in a real brewery then a visit is worth your time.

This place is one of my favorite in downtown Lansdale. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful and they'll let you try anything or make suggestions based off of other beers you like. Their hummus platter is one of the BEST and their beer selection is always changing and always tasty. Everything is also decently priced for a brewery so you don't have to spend too much to get a great beer.

I have been a patron and a fan of Round Guys Brewery since the day they opened. With every fledgling business come stumbling blocks Hurdles and snares to get past. Every obstacle that has been in their way they have met the challenge and came out victorious. While they have a small kitchen area I feel that they are creative, Innovative and responsive to suggestions when it comes to the culinary end of the establishment. This part is a work in progress and they have made huge strides since they opened. My Husband works in the culinary field and he says their food is quite tasty and portions are generous. If you want tasty sandwiches, nachos and soups when in season not to mention first class cheese trays pared with beers brewed on site then this place is for you! Second the staff. I have talked with every staff member in this establishment. They are all considerate, they are all kind, and they are all as helpful as they can possibly be. They will offer suggestions on beers according to the patron's likes and dislikes they offer samples for tasting so a patron isn't stuck with a beer they don't like. Third the Brew company on whole This place is very, very clean the new colors are quite pleasing to the eye. The new chairs / stools are really comfortable. The addition of the second air unit is perfect. An open Patio off the front would rock this place out! Here's to hoping! I love most of the entertainment they offer from Karaoke to Jazz music to bands and yes even the occasional drag show ( Very innovative for Lansdale) To sum it up simply If you want a great fresh brewed beer made by a master served up with a decent sandwich and soup served to you with a big smile from the staff then Round Guys is the place for you! If you want frozen deep fried pickle spears and Budweiser and mozzarella cheese sticks and outrageous overpriced meals and bartenders and wait staff that don't care then may I suggest going across the street. Awesome little brewpub/brewery in downtown Lansdale. I wouldn't have known about this place but for Yelp. It's just off Main Street about 2 blocks north of the train station. Their brewpub is nice; it's a very bright, open, airy space. There's a pretty good number of bar spots, and some tables; seems best to sit at the bar if you can. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a Berliner Weisse on tap when I went; it's good to see breweries slowly picking up this odd style. Its low alcohol, and pungent flavor is great for a summer afternoon. Wish I got that in the growler for take out.... next time! They had a good variety of beers on tap; besides the aforementioned Weisse, they had 2 IPA's, a blonde ale, and something else. The beers have a very good flavor, and I got one of the ipa's to go; I forget which one; but I was impressed with it, as it doesn't knock you over the head with hop flavor. They have a pretty good, solid menu too. They have a few things for vegetarians, but not much. I got their hummus & pita, which was pretty good, albeit a bit bland. The tomatoes & cheese made it a nice afternoon brunchy snack. They also have chicken wings, and a few other things, so it seems a little bit for everyone. Definitely coming back here....

First impression: irritating wannabe hipsters. In all fairness Review will be updated but stopped in on a rainy afternoon to check it out. I was the only one there and the guy behind the bar looked like he didn't want to be bothered with customers. Place looked and smelled like a dirty fraternity basement. If he was so bored he could have cleaned up a little. I asked A few Qs about some of their beers trying to find one to try and he had such a disinterested attitude I just changed my mind and left. I like the idea of the place and the location and wlll probably give another try. But the snobby bartender bit went out about 20 years ago. I think. Please don't say it's coming back!! Hopefully Mister " I'm too cool for a customer " isn't working.

Left after 15 minutes with no service, bartender only serving people sitting at the bar, NOT the tables. The bartender informed us while we left that he only attends to customers at the BAR only. Of course he was outside on a smoke break we he told us this..... What a shame I try to support local businesses as much as possible, guess I will move to the bar across the street instead.

Just back recently.. beer quality is TOP NOTCH. You can really taste the freshness in the beer, great quality,, good prices. GO here.. you will like it.. great place to watch a game with a good beer. Easy parking. They have Quizzo some nights, events all the time. These guys make good beer, from Porters, Pale Ales, IPAs, Wheats, Saisons.. go now. Food quality has improved! Nice wraps, salads.. we like the hummus. They started canning beers.. and you can get any beer to go in a growler (any growler). Try the CASK beer.. too good. Cant wait to be back.

Round Guys definitely has potential! The pros: The sour beer!!!!! (2 flavors or plain) The popcorn The location The cons: Lack of a clear menu (when we were there) The beers didn't stand out Lack of fun atmosphere So, we went to RG on a whim one Sunday and it wasn't bad, but not great. We got a flight and shared it. There were some good beers, but we would like to see some uniqueness. The sour beer really stands out and is unique, so I loved that. We had some trouble deciphering the menu. The guy that served us was friendly and polite at times, but seems distracted most of the time. In a small place like this it would be nice to have a more friendly, inviting "Cheers" type atmosphere...I hate to compare, but sort of like Prism. I understand it's different (and that's great!) but it just didn't feel comfy. All in all, I'm excited to give RG another try. They are pretty new and I'm sure just need some time. The sour beer alone is worth the trip!!

Location: The address is on Main but the entrance is on Wood and parking is readily available across the street (behind Molly's) or on Main. The ambience has a sterile, industrial feel to it which is exaggerated by the plate windows allowing patrons to seeing where the brewing happens (always dope to see). I actually don't mind the look of it, but I can see how some people complain about how it looks. To each their own. Plenty of bar space and tables. Intimate. I dig it. Boom. The bartenders are very friendly, timely, they let you try the different brews on tap and know a fair amount about each beer that was brewed there. The bartenders also host quizzo unless it is a special night, then they do kinky quizzo with a special guest. Overall, great bartenders. The brewmasters know their stuff. Being ex-science geeks, they put their knowledge to use and aren't afraid to brew something different... We'll get into this next... Onto the good stuff... Beer. These guys have a knack for those one-off beers that aren't as common as a lite beer or lager. For instance... their Berliner, which is their sour beer with the option of having it straight-up, or adding woodruff or raspberry syrup to it. Try a taste of all three for a refreshing beer that's as good as lemonade on a hot summer day. Yea I said it. Anyway, my go to is the Fatbob XVII. Typically around a 9.2 - 9.5%, this Belgian Tripel will put you on your ass after a couple. They also offer pale ales, IPAs, DIPAs, saisons and more. They offer a couple local meads and wines, but I have no experience with these. Now time to be fat. FOOD. To start off, they offer free, freshly popped popcorn from their popcorn machine but have food to order too. The food menu ranges from hotdogs, to paninis to hummus to nachos. When I'm sitting in my seat, feeling the effects from the Fatbob, I typically order "The Bird". A delicious paninimade with turkey, bacon cheese, etc, with chips. Yum is the word you're looking for. Yum. The hummus plate is very generous with its serving size. The nachos are good. Do you see a reoccurring theme here? All in all, I've made Round Guy Brewery my new after work, happy hour, unhappy hour, let's catch a buzz joint. With excellent beer, friendly/ knowledgable staff, delicious food and a relaxing atomosphere, I highly recommend checking out Round Guys. If you walk out disappointed, then you're a souless drifter who spits in the face of American Bald Eagles.

I would give Round Guys a 3.5 if that were an option -- they're newer and seem to be changing/growing each time we go in. I think they have yet to hit their stride, but they're getting there. While Round Guys doesn't have their own parking lot, it's fairly easy to find parking nearby on the street. They have a nice variety of beers available and I've tried several. I tend to default to the Slacker if nothing else looks appealing to me, but the last time we were there they had a dubbel on cask (Chubby Bob) with vanilla and bourbon in it that was really good. Very smooth and flavorful (though I couldn't taste the bourbon very much -- more vanilla). I have not had the food but they have a selection of paninis, I believe. They have a popcorn machine where you can help yourself if you'd like a snack. They have a couple of TVs if you want to go there to watch the game. To me, it's kind of an odd bar because it has so many windows. If you go in during the day, it's really bright. I guess I'm just used to drinking in places that are darker -- it's not that this is a bad trait, it's just something I notice when I go there -- it's a little out of the ordinary. It's a clean and generally friendly place as well. It's definitely worth checking out if you've not been, especially in the name of supporting a local business!

Nice little brew pub with a variety of offerings that were all above average. Just wish they had a better menu so we could eat dinner there as well! Still highly recommended. The brews are not as avant-garde as at Prism, but that is ok as I thought they were significantly better.

Went to RG for the first time last night. Went early with my wife to grab a bite and some beer. The beer selection was very good. The server was very knowledgable and very helpful. Tried the Sanctified Belgian Strong Ale. Very good. Would like to try a flight next time. I can't comment on the music, they were setting up and we left at 8:30 before they started. The food was pretty good but not particularly adventurous. It was probably good for the crowd but it appeared to be mostly items that could be made in a crock pot and panini press. What we had was very tasty, The Iggy and The Weird Al. The potato salad was great, the chili was ok, a little too tomatoey for me. Kind of a cross between spaghetti sauce and chili. The sandwiches were very tasty. I would like to see the menu expanded to include burgers and some additional shareable items like meat and cheese boards. I'm kind of comparing to some of the Philly brew houses like Probation Tap Room and others. But then again, I'm not an expert on Lansdale dining. Yet. Overall a good experience that I would go back for again.

Stopped here for dinner during a business trip from Colorado. Very cool establishment with very friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is not huge, but it doesn't need to be as the portions are more than filling. The beers were spot on, with my personal favorite being the Berliner and their fresh hop IPA. Get the full taster trays, it's a fantastic way to try out everything they have on tap. Great experience!!

An intriguing microbrewery with some decent brews. I was surprised to see that Round Guys is in fact a production brewery and not just a storefront/bar. Behind the bar, all the brewing equipment is visible. I am assuming from the glass panels placed between the bar and the production room that this is intentional and designed to add to the charm of Round Guys. I could see this concept evolving, but the rest of the venue is void of design, save a few t-shirts hung on the wall. Ambiance aside, the bartenders were very friendly and happy to offer samples of stuff on tap. I ended up with the Berlinerweiss + raspberry syrup and a Grilled Cheesus. Yes, Cheesus. I loved the whimsical names and subtle humor of the menu. It adds levity without being tacky or gimmicky. The Berlinerweiss is extremely light and fruity weighing in at ABV 3%. I am more of a dark beer fan so this was far from my usual beer preference. It was really sweet and refreshing nonetheless. The grilled cheesus was pleasantly simple and served with a side of potato chips. There is also a popcorn machine that one can frequent at his or her disposal, free of charge. While I wasn't wowed by the beers or food, I would absolutely return to Round Guys. I didn't get to try all their options and I am SO pleased to see a place that isn't just offering a dozen nasty IPAs. I also like their modest menu. I have great faith in venues that do a few things, but execute those things extremely well. The iPad register service is pretty cool as well. As I was leaving for the night, live musicians came and began playing some Bob Dylan covers. I will make it a point to return to Round Guys for evening entertainment.

Great new place in the area! Great beers and atmosphere with a great niche of craft beers for the area. Staff are very friendly and remembers their local crowd. Would definitely recommend this place, and will be coming back to either fill our growler or spend some time in the bar.

So excited Round Guys finally opened. I am a total beer geek and to have a local microbrewery within walking distance from my house is like an early Christmas present. I have been to the brewery twice over the last 2 weekends to get a growler filled, the owners are extremely nice and very happy to see patrons and show off their new brewery. Like any new brewery opening in wonderful law laden PA they can only serve growlers and give tastings of their great craft beer offerings at the present time until the kitchen is up. They are more than happy to share whatever they have on tap for a taste and chat with you about beer. I for one am looking forward to seeing them expand and hope to be an inaugural member of their mug club and be a regular patron as well. If you live in or are visiting the North Penn area and are a fan of craft beer this is a must check out place :)

When I found out there was a new micro brewery in town I got very excited. I finally got time to get over to RGB and sample some of their brew. Location The location is great for business and there is plenty of parking within walking distance. We walked in the door and there was a good local band playing for us to enjoy. So far so good. It was quiet busy but we were lucky to get two seats at the bar. Bar itself: Once seated we started to look at the beer list and the place itself. The bar itself was very bland and seemed sterile. White walls and not much decor to speak of. Sitting at the bar was comfortable and you weren't getting bumped into while sitting there. The tap room was right in front of us in plain view. It wasn't the tap room I am accustom to with the beautiful stainless steel kettles lined up with kegs and bottles waiting for beer. It had smaller kettles and a large plastic fermenter and some other random things laying around. This isn't a big deal, I can look past it. The staff: The staff were friendly but seemed disconnected. They were hard to strike a conversation with and it felt awkward when speaking with them. When asking about the beers, I thought they would have known more. I am not sure if they were just a bartender or were a brewer but that was a bit of a disappointment. Lets get on to what really matters The Beer! The Beer: In order to give them the proper judgement, I ordered a 5oz sample of all 8 beers they had on tap that night. Started with 4 and sipped lightest to darkest. The Oktoberfest wasn't bad, not the best I have ever had but it was one of the better of the 4. Blackback IPA was the star of these 4 samples but it was not as bitter and strong as I was hoping. The other 2 beers were down right forgettable. Something I did notice was that the beers did not have much of an aroma. When tasting new brews I love to test the aroma and get the hoppy notes and sweetness of the malts. I didn't get any of this. On to the second 4 samples. Again I go for the aroma...not much to be had. Two of the lighter beers tasted almost identical. I could tell there was a difference in the bitterness but overall the same taste and look. The gluten free beer was next, it was tasty for a gluten free. The last was the Saison, which the bartender put syrup in. Now I am not a Saison person but this beer was not very good at all. Overall the beer was forgettable and sub par. When asked will I come back? I would only say yes because they didn't have all of there beers on tap. I would come back and try others when they are available. Otherwise I will not come back until I hear that they are making some serious beers for the enthusiast. Simple breakdown. Location = Good Bar = bland and a sterile feel Staff = Disconnected and awkward Beer = Sub-par

My Wife and I visited this new establishment on opening day. We had heard from 2 other local businesses about this new brewery in Lansdale that offers a gluten free beer. My wife has Celiac's disease, and therefore cannot consume any gluten, or she will become sick and bedridden for a couple of days. To support my wife, I also am gluten free, and we have been for over a year. It can be an isolating lifestyle not being able to eat gluten. Gluten is in almost everything, and cross contamination is inevitable. So we aren't able to eat out at restaurants much, or even go out for a couple of drinks. So for a brewery to brew and offer a gluten free beer, I can't tell you the surprise and excitement my wife and I shared. To be able to go out into the public like we used to be able to do is priceless. We are very thankful and appreciative. We walked into this newly renovated establishment, and the feeling of excitement was in the air. Everyone around was happy, and enjoying themselves. There was no short supply of customers, as there was no short supply of tasks the workers in back were trying to address on opening day. It was apparent the staff was excited to be a part of this new business. We were offered free samples of their gluten free beer. AND, it was very very tasty!! We really liked it. And best of all, my wife did not get sick. We do plan on going back. We look forward to bringing home many growlers from Round Guys Brewing in the future, and spreading the word about this new local brewery. Thanks Round Guys!

I ran into them handing out free samples a few times before actually finding the place and trying it out. The beer is good, and they seem to keep a wide and ever changing variety on tap. It's obviously a new place, and they're still working on the building and the dining area and defining the ambiance. The back of the bar has big windows into the actual production area, which is pretty neat. They didn't seem to have any A/C last I visited, so I'm hoping cooler weather will make dining in more palatable. Fortunately during First Fridays you can take your beer outside and enjoy the weather and the band usually playing right in front of them. They also haven't really started drawing a crowd - so if you're looking for nightlife you'll probably walk by for the bigger bar down the street. So, it's new, but promising, and I'll definitely be back to check on their progress.

We stopped in yesterday with using the restaurant.com's $10 gift card so figured to try out a local brewpub. Overall, the establishment is clean and well kept with a nice amount of TVs for sports, and this is a nice environment considering it is located within a decaying downtown Landsdale. Despite the positives, I found the beers to be overpriced and dead average when compared to local brewpubs within the greater Philadelphia Area. I drank the Original Slacker Ale, which is only 4.0 ABV, but is too hop heavy for a light stout. The server was extremely nice; however, it took nearly an hour to complete a basic order. The staff was disorganized and did not provide punctual service. I vomited uncontrollably for an hour the night after eating their Attack Dog sandwich, this hot dog looked to be nuked for about 30 seconds with bacon that was not crisp. I saw the worker preparing my meal in a tiny pantry-like area that did not appear to have a full kitchen area needed for making meals. The venue is clean and servers are friendly. Lastly, $14 for a 6 pack, a little over priced if you ask me.
