Long time take out fan. Sushi is consistently good. Menu is deep as far as variety is concerned. Portions are very reasonable, often bordering on LARGE. Price is reasonable. Service, dining in or taking out is very good - maybe not cute and cuddly, but definitely efficient and friendly. Having tried other local sushi options, keep coming back to Mt.Fuji, year after year. Few years later updating from 5 stars to 3. Sadly, portions grew smaller and fish isn't as fresh. Just isn't what it once was. Too bad.

Great sushi, pleasant atmosphere, great service. Will definitely be back. Seems like it might become one of our favorite places. It is a bit of a drive for us but worth it by all means. My whole family just loved it there

The atmosphere at Mt. Fuji is gorgeous, but it's not an excuse for their over-priced food. I ordered a couple rolls of sushi and some dumplings. First, the sushi was average. I've had the same quality sushi at less expensive restaurants. I was extremely disappointed in the dumplings. They were teeny tiny, and they looked and tasted exactly like the pre-made, frozen dumplings from H-Mart.

The food is fantastic. Every thing i have tried i have loved. The main reason I am not giving it 5 stars is we have ordered take out a few times, and the staff at the front sometimes ignores you, and it can take a long time to bring out your food. This has happened to us 2 of the 4 times we got take out.

Overall, I would say that the hibachi/teryaki is average but the sushi (especially the signature rolls) are delicious. They have a decent drink menu with lots of options and great service, but the prices are a little high for what you get. Modern decor and atmosphere though which is nice.

Bit on the pricey side but you know what you're getting into when you enter over a floating walkway (thick glass suspended over a small Japanese rock garden) and are greeted by a waterfall wall. Good for cocktails and pretty delicious bentos. I only did the habachi once when it first opened years ago. I recommend the tonkatsu and spicy salmon roll.

The service is awesome! Our waiter was very attentive. I like their sushi there bc it's very tasty and fresh. The one thing I look forward to is the hibachi fried rice, unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. It didn't taste like it was cooked on the hibachi grill. It was pretty much steamed fried rice to me. We sat at a regular table and not the hibachi table. The beef and the scallops was awesome. There was a lot of sauce on the bottom of the dish. I thought it was hibachi not stir fry. On to dessert, we ordered the Creme brûlée espresso/coffee dessert and the sugar on top was not caramelize. I was dissappointed on that dessert bc I ordered it before and it was different, I thought all Creme brûlée was caramelized. This time around the coffee ice cream tasted flat, like it wasn't fresh.

We love Mt. Fuji!! The sushi is always delicious and the service is impeccable. My son loves the specialty rolls while I stick with the standards. Always an enjoyable dinner.

My original review was 3 starts and was more about hibachi. The sushi experience is much better and we have been going quite a lot. Sushi rolls are always very fresh and creative. We tried a few appetizers as well as the soup and all are very tasty. Service is excellent! We like how they use kids cups with lids for kids. It's the little things that make me happy. I would definitely recommend for sushi.

Their spicy salmon roll was delicious. For my entree I had the Beef Curry Rice, which was excellent. Unfortunately the tempura was oily and lacking in depth of flavor. It didn't have the salty richness you hope for from fried food. Still, I'd go back just for the curry!

I have always like to dine in Mt. Fuji for dinner services but this is there first review that I'm giving. I would give it a 3.5 if I could. Mt. Fuji has good sushi rolls as each roll is creative but flavorful. This restaurant is certainly not traditional since the food are more to the fusion side of food. What I recommend is an entrée which is a duck dish. The skin is quite crispy and the sauce is flavorful. I would not recommend to have the habachi dinner, it's mediocre. The general dining area is a good place for a casual dinner through not fine dining.

Waited nearly two hours for entree. Unacceptable. The steak hibachi was cold. Sushi was very good, but will not be returning again due to overall experience.

I'd been wanting to go to a hibachi restaurant for a while since moving here, and finally set out to do so. We called to make a reservation for 2, and were told to come at 8pm; 8pm, and we were there ready to be seated. Inside, the space is really nice-- dark ambiance and modern decor. The regular tables are set apart from the hibachi, which is nice, as there are often parties around the hibachi tables-- and there were: at least 2-4 groups of teens enjoying their birthdays. It took 45 minutes to be seated, which is extremely frustrating. What is the point of a reservation if you are going to be standing there for almost an hour? I wish places like this would just be up-front. All we were told was, "we are waiting for people to leave.... shouldn't be long." I, too, have been guilty of finishing my food and sitting over an hour to chat--- so saying that the restaurant is waiting for tables to leave isn't very reassuring to patrons who are waiting to be seated; especially those whose reservation was 45 minutes prior. When led to the back where the hibachi is, we were seated right on top of another couple. It was literally the 4 of us crammed into one corner; eventually, when we saw no more people were going to be seated there, we mutually agreed that it would be better to slide down and afford each other some more room. Food was pretty typical for hibachi and it was enjoyable. I only wish the noodles would come standard as they do in some other hibachi places; instead, we had to order them as a side dish. If not for the ridiculous wait time & disorganization, I would say I would be back again. For me, it doesn't matter how good the food is if you are going to wait hours to eat it.

I am at those location in Newtown. First time I have been here. Have eaten in Southampton many times and always enjoyed. I am writing this review because I am bored. Called and asked for a reservation for 6 pm..they asked if we could come at 6:15. Told us table would be ready in 5. Twenty minutes later we sat down. Been here now for one hour and still have not had person start to cook. No apology...no explanation. On my third water...great tap water. Have to be at work in 10 hours...hope I make it

The facility is very nice with dark wood tones and adequate spacing of tables. The sushi area is to the side and kept very clean. The service is adequate, if not overly warm or informative. Definitely, I nice space to eat and socialize. The Hibachi is not much to my liking, as whether beef, chicken, shrimp or lobster, they all taste almost the same coming off the grill due to the heavy dosing with soy sauce. The flipping of food morsels from the spatula into the diners mouth is funny the first dozen of so times it is experienced, but gets old (and messy) after a while. This is not the place I would chose to have a delicious steak, as it is far from a Ruth Chris, Capitol Grille, or Walensky's experience. The rest of the menu is diverse and generally decent, but not outstanding enough to want to return more than sporadically. The presentation is done well, and the staff is prompt if not overly engaging with the customers. I have tried the Udon/Soba Noodles with Chicken or Beef and enjoyed them, although they were less spicy that I generally prefer. The Bento Boxes and lunch are a solid meal with Shumai, Tempura Veggies, and Haru Maki or other light roll as accompaniment. For me, Mt. Fuji is a good alternative place of a local lunch or dinner, but I would not drive far out of my way for the opportunity. Thus, 3 Stars.

One star cause 0 not available. Came in early on Friday night(before 6) for hibachi. We were seated immediately. Then nothing. Took over half an hour just to get a drink, 10 minutes later soup and salad came. Still no chef. After foolishly waiting an hour, I told the waiter I'm out of here. He kept saying is the food is coming soon. I then had to yell I want see the manager. He then took me to the manager where they stood and had 1 minute conversation in a foreign language. The manager then told me they were ready now. I said no, I'll pay flor my soda if you want but I can't enjoy my meal after waiting all this time. Had not been here in years. Went once before and the food was bad. My son got me to try it again. Well, I still don't know if the food is any better, but I do know that I will NEVER be back!

The best sushi in the area; luckily it is in walking distance from my office. A bit pricey; but worth it for either take out or to dine in. Great bar; beautiful decor...nothing compares to this sushi place. Just ate here again tonight and honestly I've never had a bad sushi experience here! Love some of the new signature rolls on the menu The waiter was so accommodating he made sure I got a roll that I noticed was no longer on the menu. Also, I am not a desert person although the person I was with is, and he wanted a certian desert and the waiter insisted he would make it happen, but we ended up splitting the chocolate truffle with vanilla ice cream which was on the current menu---and just as good as the sushi!

I'm no expert in sushi, but I've enjoyed it around the world. I can confidently say this sushi is the best on the planet!!! I'm blown away by their perfect infusions of homemade sauces. Try the Autumn of Philly roll made with spicy king crab, salmon on top with a pepper wasabi and the most amazing, momiji sauce I've ever had. Consistent, bursting with flavor, can't go wrong. Thank me later.

Recently dined here for first time. At first glance of their menu I was unimpressed with sushi selection. Limited amount and rolls just didn't seem that innovative and interesting. I ordered the sushi bento box which comes with 1 roll, small salad, miso soup. I ordered the angry dragon roll and it was so good. The roll was packed and big and the sauce was so good. The sushi was fresh and everything else was great. Service was good but slow for a business weekday lunch. Prices are consistent and average with the area.

I absolutely love this place! I've dined in and ordered takeout, and they're always consistent. I'm a big fan of their salmon and Philly rolls, as well as their specialty rolls. It's so easy to get to from where I live, and it's not far from 95 either. Can't wait to make my way back here again!

Always enjoy eating their fresh sushi. You'll enjoy their specialty rolls that are made with different types of fish and special sauces. Whether you're new to eating sushi or a regular at Japanese restaurants, you'll find a wide selection of things to try and enjoy. Kids always have fun at the hibachi table. Be prepared for a fire show!

We went here for my sister's birthday dinner on a Sunday night around 5:30. Make reservations for hibachi! Because there was a large party and we could only sit in the dining room. The atmosphere was very cool. At first I was weary about how close the tables were to each other but it was fine. Unfortunately every time someone walked into the restaurant, there was a freezing draft. We orders from the hibachi menu. The rice was good, full of veggies and the soup and salad were great. I got the filet and scallops and it was amazing! Unfortunately everything was pretty much instantly cold because of the draft. It was kind of pricey and I probably will not go back to the dining room. I might try hibachi or sushi, or maybe go for a celebration when the weather is warmer and all my food doesn't taste like it was cooked in a blizzard. Also real chopsticks vs wooden ones was pretty cool.

went here for take out. i cannot comment on the dining in experience but the sushi was good. it wasn't knock my socks off delicious but comparable to other sushi places in the area. the price of their food i thought was expensive. now sometimes you get what you pay for so i thought maybe it would be better quality or taste better for the price but i wasn't wowed

stay away from regular dining menu especially on busy nights. Duck breast tasted like shoe leather. Waiter told me they cook duck during the day and then just heat it up. Salmon was overcooked, portion was tiny. So called seasonal vegetables nowhere to be found.

Came here with the kids for hibachi dinner, and they both loved it! One had the scallops (I can't believe she ate them...they grow up fast!) and the other had chicken which he liked. They were a little upset that they could not get the white rice option when they heard someone else doing that with their own kids, but it worked out. My mixed drink was nice but almost too sweet, and my seafood hibachi was quite good. Expensive, so maybe I'll pare down what I order again. I'd like to see what they can do with sushi because the people at our station ordered some and it looked really good! We'll be back if we are in the area again!

Decent sushi for the burbs. I'm a sushi snob, so this place at least gets credit for having fresh wasabi on hand (have to special order...not root wasabi, but at least the real stuff), and good ginger (not the fake pink kind). The sushi chefs are obviously not into the art of sushi, but put on an adequate show of quality. There is a weird lack of soul to the place, and I do not even glance in the direction of the hibachi nonsense, but I think you can have an adequate sushi experience if you're craving fish. I tried their toro once, which was a mistake as it's obviously frozen and rarely used so stick to the basics: maguro, hamachi, sake, kampachi etc. and you should be ok.

Horrible service! We had a 7:00 reservation , and they didn't sit us till 7:45( after we spoke to management). We spoke with the host and hostess after they sat 2 other tables. The host said he was " confused" as to what table was waiting on the reservation. Extremely disappointed!

We went back last night to try something other than the special rolls. We ordered the love boat for two - a big display of sushi, sashimi and a roll. It was pretty impressive looking and the sushi tasted fresh, but it was a kind of boring. I've had similar "boats" at other places that were more interesting when it came to the flavor combination. The service last night though was still prompt and friendly and I'll gladly return, I just think I'll stick to ordering the special rolls because they are tasty and creative.

I don't let awful reviews scare me on Yelp as the one stars are generally customers who had a off experience. i have found that going to a restaurant after a rough experience is generally much better. Anyhow... Whilst spending the weekend at Sesame place, I wanted to take the family to a local Hibachi restaurant. Through Yelp I found Mt Fuji Hibachi. Located in a shopping center, there's no problems with parking. Very good! On arrival, it is clean and the staff are pleasant. We were seated quickly at our table as received our drinks quickly. Very good! Drinks were cheap compared to other hibachi restaurants. Apps were great. We had Spicy Tuna Gyoza and it was fantastic. Spicy tuna with avocado sauce, yummy. Very Good! The Hibachi itself was average. The cook did a fine job entertaining and he was fun to watch. Not as crazy as some but did a fine job. Off the Hibachi, we had Kobe beef, scallops and Shrimp. All good, no complaints with the food. Good! Sushi: Unbalanced roll. Arguably the best sushi roll I have ever had...and I have been to some of the best in the US. It just has everything I want in a sushi roll. Extremely tasty and a good portion. Price was good. The bill came to $130 including tip which is very good compared to our usual places in NJ and NYC. PROS: Ample parking Good service Food is good Prices are very fair Staff are very friendly CONS: Avoid during busy times, staff are good but get overwhelmed. Not a hibachi you go to for flare and fun, They do a good job. Hibachi chefs are good but not the best. If your picky about the style, there are probably better options. Not the most stylish of decor but that's not picking. A solid 4/5 stars. We had a very good time.

As a vegetarian, I was worried that eating at Mt. Fuji would be a problem. I went with a group of six people - my sister, her fiance, my parents and my husband. My husband and I looked at the menu before being seated and decided that the hibachi was out, so we sat in the regular dining room. This is a very beautiful restaurant! We didn't realize that our main entree would come with miso soup and salad, so we ordered the vegetable gyoza lemongrass soup with tofu. It was out of this WORLD delicious, but the serving was huge...and only $6! You get a huge bowl of soup, whereas I was just expecting a small cup. My sister and husband got the same soup, and my mother got the clam soup which was beautifully presented. She said her soup was also delicious and would go back again for it. We also had an order of the kimchi pancakes. Again, didn't realize we'd get so many so we ended up passing them around the table trying to pawn them off on everyone else because the soup was very filling. They were tasty, though I think I would have preferred their kimchi instead (maybe next time.) My father had the snapper, loved it. My sister got the Angry Dragon rolls, which...I wish I could tell you what was in them, but just know that they were enormous (much like their appetizers were) and will fill you up easily! All of their signature rolls sounded good. Her fiance had some sort of spicy shrimp dish, which he said was very good. Now, my husband and I were nervous about ordering the Teriyaki tofu because usually at restaurants that also serve meat they aren't very good at preparing tofu, but they really surprised us! They gave us a huge portion of tofu, which was good because we were still hungry, and it came with some lightly stir fried teriyaki vegetables. We loved it, and would go back in a heart beat. My sister is even thinking of having her wedding rehearsal dinner here. Highly recommended!

Went there a little while back for an anniversary dinner with my wife. Pros: Parking was good. That's about all I can say. It is like going to a funeral for someone you don't like, and the best thing you can say about the person is that they had nice hair. Cons: Sushi was bad, as in not fresh. My filet was harder than shoe leather and my wife almost cut her wrist open on the chipped plate. I sent her order back and we left and had Chinese instead. Even worse (yes, there is a worse!) was the bar. This place is supposed to be a nice restaurant. They have a bar that is in the front dining area. There was a game on the TV set, and the four people in the bar were yelling and screaming as if they were at the game. It sounded like they were in a Sports bar. Everyone in the front dining area kept looking at the bar, several shaking their heads. I also saw some people leave before we did that came after we did, and we left a couple minutes after we got our main course! I also saw a few people walk in, looked at the bar as they were waiting to be seated, and walked out. All that money lost so four people could have a few beers. Stupid! Maybe I went there on a bad night, but it was enough for me never to go back again!

Serves fresh sushi but their salmon hibachi is one of the best. I love the taste and the light spices. Indeed, preparation times are fast!

Food was adequate. Service was attentive. Fun hibachi show for kids. The decor is very impressive. I asked for the chef to make my food spicy, and they said they don't do that, but obliged me with a dish of hot, hot sauce to add to my food. I wasn't impressed with the miso soup. I think I ended up with "clear" soup, so I can't really judge. If so, the clear soup needed more flavor. The kids were highly impressed by the Asian fruit juice/soda with the trick bottle with a marble that doesn't come out (good thing).

I have ordered weeknight takeout two times and it's amazing. I have tried chicken pad thai, the gyoza lemongrass soup, yellowtail sushi and sushi rolls. All have been fresh, flavorful and delicious! This is becoming my go to Asian spot. The restaurant is very nice and looks like it would be a great date night place.

Multiple ratings on this place ...dining is complicated..LOL yes I over think it Decor B+ Waitstaff B- Presentation B Flavor and Texture of the Rice, Sushi & Rolls C Unique Qualities of Menu C This was a lunch visit with three colleagues. I felt the music was a bit too loud. Our server never came back mid-meal to see if everything was to our liking or to ask if we wanted anything. Serving seaweed salad over lettuce is plain stupid. Like so many places in this area of Bucks County, a bit over rated by the locals. I dont see one reason to return other than having no place better on a particular day.

Mt. Fuji is a very clean well run business. The hibachi is pretty much what it is, hibachi. That part is nothing special. However, the sushi and sashimi are awesome! Great selection of different rolls with magnificent flavors. The staff are all very friendly and well trained. All around great experience.

For starters I have been here a total of 3 times so far.... I will go back for sure. My first visit was with a rambunctious group ready for some hibachi shenanigans and it was blast. The chef we were paired with was funny and entertaining. What I liked best was his ability to not contaminate my veggie style dinner with the rest of my friends meals. I was worried I would have to order off the menu and miss out on all the fun, but alas I did not. So on my next visit I wanted to try the sushi and made reservations for a Saturday, knowing from some others that it gets really busy on the weekends. I was seated in the side dining room, which I thought was more romantic and cozy. The sushi was very good and inventive too. My largest complaint of bad sushi most of the time is the temperature at which it is served. Mt. Fuji has it going on in the sushi department. Wonderful, fresh, and just the right temp. Too cold and the fish is not as tasty. So good I went back a third time for sushi and was satisfied all over again. They also had on Saturday a jazz ensemble (upright bass, piano, and singer) which I just loved. Jazz rules. So for a cozy date with some live music or a sake loving crowd ready for hibachi, Mt. Fuji will not disappoint.

I went here for New Years eve with 3 other people. Some of the food was absolutely great, while some of it wasn't that good at all. It was really hit or miss. It really was disappointing when you order a $20 sushi roll and it sucks. Doubt I will ever go back, but you never know. I am craving one of the apps we had.

Lousy product in a pretty package. These guys have spent way too much time on the presentation without thinking about the food. If you're looking for a Japanese meal then you're looking in the wrong place.

I'm beginning to think that I'm overly picky when it comes to Japanese Steakhouses. Please don't get me wrong, Mt. Fuji is an above average Japanese Steakhouse, but I don't think I would go out of my way to go back there. I went on a Friday night with a large group of friends and to my surprise, we were seated rather fast! Once we got seated, most of the people at my table ordered drinks from the bar while we waited for our chef to arrive. I ordered an a appletini, which was alright, nothing special, but not terrible either. I ordered the steak and chicken hibachi meal and also got a side order of noodles. The noodles were fantastic, possibly my favorite part of the meal! The chicken was very tender and delicious as well. Also, the other highlight of the meal was the amazing ginger salad dressing! Now on to why I'm only giving three stars. Our sever only had my table and one other while we were there (he had a third that left before we placed out orders), yet he was almost nowhere to be seen. Most of my table ordered bar drinks and waters. Only a handful of us actually got our waters, and when the rest asked the waiter for their waters he never brought them. Also, myself and the two people sitting next to me ordered the chicken and steak combo. One friend ordered it medium, my boyfriend ordered medium well and I ordered well. The chef decided to give us all medium. As someone who really enjoys well done steak, I was extremely annoyed! I wasn't even given the chance to correct him. My final complaint was the soup, I don't know why, but I just did not enjoy it. Overall, Mt. Fuji is a pleasant enough dining experience and the prices are slightly lower than some of the Japanese Steakhouses in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there again, but if another group of friends insisted on going there I would give it another shot.

Went there with 5 other people for dinner. We were seated promptly, but sat in the back of the restaurant, where it was cold. It wasn't until the chef began cooking that it warmed up enough to feel comfortable. The drink selection is nice, although the prices for cold sake was a bit high. Orders for food ranged from chicken and shrimp to steak and crab legs to chicken and salmon. The food was pretty good, even though everything was doused in soy sauce. My brother, who ordered the crab lags, said that he got a few tough pieces. For $29 bucks, you'd hope that every piece was tender. The chef was entertaining. He flipped raw zucchini into each person's mouth for sake. He overestimated how much sake could fit in my mouth. Nothing like smelling like sake for the evening. (I will admit it was my fault for closing my mouth instead of letting him know I could not gulp anymore sake). Overall, we had a good time. Our friend had never seen hibachi style before, so he was thoroughly entertained. I would say the prices are a little high, but that may be compensating for the fact that the chef entertains us as well. We'd go back, but it would have to be a special reason to, not because we wanted to on our own.

Went early on a Sunday. Had a big party with reservations for hibachi. Our party included guests from Europe and we were also celebrating a birthday. The chef put on a good show and service was very good. Food was very good. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially our European guests. Only disappointment was getting a 15% off coupon in the mail the next day.

Mt. Fuji has a great atmosphere. You can't deny that- whether sitting at the bar, the dining room, or the hibachi tables. Most of the food that I have sampled has been good, standard Japanese food. I have no complaints because I have always left feeling satisfied. It may not be gourmet (and not as good as neighboring Oishi) but definitely serves its purpose. I have not sampled any of the specialty rolls because none of the combinations have appealed to me, but the Alaska rolls and yummy Gyoza Lemongrass Soup makes me go back for more.
