This place is just ok. They merged with Kellen's Station House which was a so-so bar with terrible food. The Rover, at its original location, had a much cozier, home-town bar feel to it. It always had great food. Since the merge, the food is going downhill. I wish they would move back to the old location.

This place has been open for several months. I had been there when it was Joseph's Garden Grille but it was prettty run down, with dirty carpets which were taped together. Not very appetizing. I didn't even know that there were new owners. A few months ago I came with a some friends to check it out, and was amazed by the transformation. The carpets were gone, the bar area was bigger, the messy stage was gone and it was super clean. The food is very good and the atmosphere is cheery and fun. Have been back several times since then. This is a great place to meet friends for lunch or dinner and drinks.

Gotta say that the last few times I have eaten here the food has been pretty meh. And now that's quizzo's gone, I see no reason for return.

Was looking forward to an evening of dinner and music with my wife. Darn sad that they don't have handicap access in front, we turned around and went somewhere else. Hope someone sues them.

This place has good food and reasonably priced drinks. The name "Irish Rover" has a bad connotation attached to it with older folks in the area given its infamous dive bar reputation until they moved, but the new location is excellent. They have a great patio during the summer too.

Wow, what has happen to the Irish Rover? This use to be the restaurant that my husband & I went to for lunch & dinner very often. We knew all the wait staff by names. The food was always very good.We have noticed the quality of food & staff go down since they moved to a larger site. Well tonight we went for dinner after a long break since we were there last. I am sorry to say it will be our last time. We were surprised to find the place almost empty. First we had one of the worst waitress we have ever had there. Dana, our waitress could not get our order right. It was not that complicated. A bowl of soup & two sandwiches. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. by 8:00 we were still waiting for our food. Once our Filet sandwiches arrived, we both looked at each other wondering were the meat was. I will say what was there of the filet was tender & the roll was fresh but the onion rings were cold & a little soggy.I am so sorry to see such a fine restaurant go down the hill so badly. Don't bother going. Don't waste your time & money.

Double check your bank account when using a credit card here. They are grimmy thieves who double and triple the tip amount. Luckily I hold onto receipts and caught them in the act. Unfortunately they will lie and make up an excuse for why the so called accident occurred. As seen in comment below I am not the only one. Hopefully someone will put an end to this.

Our party received the worst service I have ever encountered by a waitress masquerading as a patron of this establishment. Will not be returning.

I love The Rover. I love quizzo nights here as well. The food is great, I personally love the wings and drinks are so cheap. This is obviously a great place for casual dining and drinking, this isn't a Stephen Starr restaurant so people need to chill out especially for what this place USED to be, a poo hole. The wait staff here is great and they are very understanding of intoxicated people. The take out beer selections are wonderful as well if you want to continue drinking outside of The Rover. Haters of The Rover, I don't know what you expected out of a restaurant/bar in Penndel, but good luck finding anything better.

I'm giving one star due to the service we received last night by Taylor m. I truly wish we would of sat in a different section outside bc there were 2 other servers that seemed to be on top of everything.. but our server thought that she was also a patron at the bar, just hanging out with her friends... it's pretty bad that you have a server assigned to a table and 5 out of 7 kept going inside to be served by the bartender... request anyone other than taylor! After ignoring us all night then she gives attitude when we asked for something.

If I could give zero stars I would. These degenerates kicked my husband out for no reason, wouldn't let us pay the bill then sent cops to 3 different houses for a check that was made up and not paid. After being chased to our car in the parking lot across the street by the bouncer, him standing behind our car in an attempt to not let us level and us fearing for our safety we got a sober ride home and went back to pay the bill only to be charged an extra $200 of erroneous charges. I will be filing a complaint and going to the police about this. They also jack up the bill thinking people won't notice because they are drunk

The happy hour specials are inexpensive and there is a good selection of appetizers to accommodate different tastes. Hands down, they have the BEST red sangria. I have also tried several dinner items from the regular menu and everything was good. I don't eat red meat often, but their cheeseburgers are very tasty.

Since moving to their new location, the Irish Rover has taken a step up. The new spot is larger and definitely nicer than the old one. However, I wish I liked the place more. The food is average, at best - prices aren't fantastic, and I've never been there without a tremendous wait for food. Every time I'm shocked at how long it takes to get our dinner. The bar section is nice for a night out, and I do love the patio - especially when they have bands on the weekends. As one of the only places in the area with outdoor seating I do like it, but wish the food was as good as the atmosphere.

Would give zero stars if I could. Just like the comments below the waitress changed my tip amount to over charge me. When I noticed i was over charged on my card I spoke to the owner who offered a refund, but blamed me for making a math mistake (leaving a 400% tip). When I asked to see my receipt, he only showed me the return receipt and not my original which had my so called mistake on. Scummy place with scummy employees and owner. Stay away or pay cash

I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money, totally disgusted by what I hear about owner ripping people off. The noise in the neighborhood is ridicilous

Food was less then mediocre here. Brought family in from out of town to try it. Service was really slow for an uncrowded Sunday afternoon. They said there cheesesteaks were dry. My husband ordered a rueben and the bread was burnt the first go around so he sent it back. Then his second sandwich, the corner beef was so tough he had to cut it with a knife. My daughters steak fries were cold and my buffalo chicken steak was dry! Stick to just getting drinks here!

I recently had drinks and food here on a Sunday. It was by far the worst meal that I have had in a restaurant in many years. The grilled chicken had obviously been microwaved, not grilled. The chicken breast had no grill marks and was extremely "chewy", indicating that it had been microwaved while having absolutely no taste. Absolutely horrible meal. My friend had me taste the chicken cuesadilla, which also was pretty bad. The so called chicken was a mushy paste, not anything close to resembling what we know as chicken. Again it was tasteless. I kind of like the bar with a reasonably good selection of craft beers, but I will not eat there again.

Have gone here numerous times. Place is huge plenty of seats at bar and many tables. They also have large outdoor patio for when weather is nice. Plenty of parking is also available. Food is always delicious and reasonably priced. We go on Wednesday crab night several times during the summer always good.

A fun bar, in a suburban area. The drinks are not spectacular and neither is the food but the location, being across from the train station makes this place a gem. Being in the burbs there are not many choices in the area to go to a bar without getting on a train. This bar surpassed my expectation and I rank it higher that others like Baileys in the area. I also like the spirit in the bar for st pattys ;)

My father in law has been a patron of the Irish Rover for 12 years before the merger when it became the Irish Rover Station House. Since the merger, the overall service of the establishment has suffered. This visit I will describe is further proof of this. He was served a $4 cheesesteak that contained little to no meat. He simply requested he be served another chessesteak. Instead, he was served the same cheesesteak with additional meat on top. (Anyone who has gone through servsafe and various other food safety courses should be aware that once a food item reaches the table and isn't eaten, it is discarded). My father in law demanded to see the manager at this point where he told him he wanted a new cheesesteak. The male manager on duty presented the steak and not only did he not apologize for the previous 2 cheesesteak mishaps, he told my father in law "I hope this meets your satisfaction.". There was nothing we could do as this manager was arrogant and unaware of what proper customer service should be. We won't be going back to this establishment. The customer at this place isn't treated with the utmost respect that he/she deserves. The merger has set the Irish Rover back and it was better off when it was the old Irish Rover. If anything, they need to remember where they came from and treat the customers as they did before they moved locations. On a good note, the beer tastes like beer. That's the only reason I didn't give the new Irish Rover a half star

Great place, amazing food, very reasonable prices! Nice atmosphere.... Only down fall was the food & server took forever. But we love going to this place, so we're gonna keep coming!

Hands down best wings around. Don't be afraid of the name nuclear, they are perfect. Good Irish food too. Only giving them 4 stars since the service could be better, it's not bad, just needs more. Got there and there were 10 open tables and they made us wait 30 mins for a table. Just a hint, hire more waiters on a Friday night when there is an eagles game on! Good thing the wings and food made up for the lack of waitresses.

This is a very fun place whether you bring the kids for dinner or sit at the bar and enjoy the atmosphere. Very close to the west Trenton line of septa which makes it very convenient

Food was OK. But the smell of cigarette smoke in the waiting area was disgusting. Even though they have signs that say "No smoking on the stairs" they allow people to do it anyway.

The absolute worst. Horrible food. Horrible service. Beer iis a little too much. I know a few people that previously worked here and from what they have told me, i wish I never walked it the doors here. They don't clean properly. They don't have the right supplies to clean some of the time. The dishes don't get cleaned properly half of the time. Very unsanitary. Makes me cringe that I have ever eaten a thing from there. The food sucked to begin with. Their wing sauces are good but their wings are terrible. They're tiny and some of the time they're not even full wings. Cheese steaks are a joke here. The service is just awful. I believe the manager that I spoke to was named Scott. He was rude and didn't seem to care about our concerns. I'll never ever go back. I'd be too afafraid of salmonella.

Love this place. Didn't really get to experience drinks, but I did try their fish and chips and it was amazing (coming from a British person). My good friend goes there and gets the gourmet wings every time; he still dreams about them.

Used to be my favorite neighborhood bar back when it was known as Kellens but in the past year or so when it became the Rover everything changed. While the food is great and there is a wide variety of take out beer from which to choose, the draft list is usually basic and poor. Also, if you go to this bar, be prepared to wait for long amounts of time not only for food and drink but for the staff to notice you are even there. Once you are noticed, whether you are helped or treated well is hit or miss. Definitely don't go near closing because you will be ushered out before posted hours if it's "slow".

its not bad, not many beers to choose from in my opinion and its always crouded and loud

Just came home from another great time at the Irish Rover. Great food, great drinks, awesome staff! You have to try their gourmet wings, they are to die for. All their food is so good and even though it was crazy busy tonight..Saturday..food came fast, drinks came fast and the server was so nice and friendly. Recommend the Irish Rover to all ages, drinking or not, it is such a great place to go.

I'm new to the area and found that the Irish rover is a great place for food and entertainment. I found the staff courteous and friendly. Definitely a great place to stop for lunch or dinner and the wing are everything hat people rave about. Glad I stop in for a night out!

We've passed by this place once or twice and thought it would be a great place to sit outside on a warm day like today, we kind of wish we didn't. I showed up with my wife and 4 month old and we decided to sit outside. The only place that was available with the appropriate shade for our baby happened to be a six top, which I don't think pleased the waitress too much. Immediately she copped an attitude and was very short with us. Mind you, I waited tables for years when I was younger, so I get it...they want big tables, with big tabs, so they get bigger tips, but there was no one in this place. It was empty, yet she still got ill with us for sitting at a six top table as opposed to another table where there was no shade. She should have been happy we were there period. Anyhow, when we ordered diet cokes as opposed to buckets of beer, that really set her off...lol she snapped her order book closed and walked off shaking her head and bad mouthing us to her fellow waitresses. Sometimes you get tables like ours, just there for a quick lunch and it's better to be polite, turn the table over as fast as possible, and get someone else in there, but this chick was downright mad. The rest of the time we were there she ignored us. We needed refills, they brought our food out without utensils, it was just a mess. The food was good, but we rushed out of there because we just felt uncomfortable, which is a shame. We love to grab a few drinks from time to time at a fun place, but we went ahead and "X"ed this place off the list. Maybe the waitress was having a bad day, maybe she's always like that, who knows, but all I know is that we won't be coming back.

I would also give zero stars if I could. we were not greeted by anyone. we sat for 10 minutes. we had to go to the bar to get our own menus then a server came over to our table. I ordered a Ruben wrap that came out cold and with no sour kraut as described in the menu. the turkey was also lunch meat quality. the next guests to walk in grabbed a table next to us and also waited ten minutes to be greeted. they were lucky and had menus brought to them. all the while there were at least 5 female servers standing at the back of the bar chatting while one male server was doing all the work. Horrible experience and overpriced for the quality

I started coming here about 1-2 years ago. Staff always has a great attitude and although they are usually busy they get you seated quickly. Especially love their outdoor seating area in warm weather they even have games on their deck. Extensive bar menu with many seafood options if you need an alternative to meat. Last night I had the Mahi-Mahi blakened as my meat alternative for lent. The quality of the fish was good I just expected a larger piece for a sandwich. Over time I do feel like they've decreased their portion sizes, even when I've ordered the cheesesteaks. Fries and onion rings are large and always a hit! My dad loves their soups and chili with their homemade garlic bread.

They falsely advertised that Guinness draughts are $4 on the 17th of every month...except March. Guinness was poured into a smaller plastic cup and hiked up to $6 for St. Patrick's day. They had signs posted advertising the $4 price. Brought it up to management, who basically said "oh well, they're $6 today". False advertising is unfair to consumers and unethical for business owners. M

This our first time here. The place looks nice and the inside is nice. The service was good. I wasn't happy that the appetizers, soup and salad all came at the same time. Five minutes later the meal came out. This is a pet peeve of mine. It makes me feel rushed and your food ends up being cold by the time you get to it. We ordered mini tacos as an appetizer - they were the same as what you could buy at the store. The meals were average at best with small portions for the price. I would come here again for drinks but not for dinner.

Have visited a couple time now, the fan fare seemed to wear off, but was still holding their own. Maybe the weekend is not the best time to go. The Sunday before Memorial day really sucked. It was like they called the skeleton crew in. Service was next to non existing and two orders of wings was like the bottom of the box that usually gets thrown away. I didn't know those tiny pieces count as wings. I guess I'll give it a while before trying again. On a weekday. Maybe!

Love this place. It is a local hometown treasure. They have awesome Irish food. They offer outside dinning. It is along side of a busy road, but nice just the same. They have bands on the weekend. Service can be slow sometimes depending on the server. Tonight was the first time I've ever had an issue. 3/6 of us had the corned beef and cabbage. It was served cold. We all sent it back. It came out warm next. We ate it, it was tasty. The manager comped our appetizers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
