Cheeburger, Cheeburger is another 1950's throw back concept burger joint franchise. It is similar to Jake's Wayback, Nifty Fifty, Johnnie Rocket's, etc. The burgers are fresh beef, not frozen, and are quite good with tons of choices as to things you can add to customize your dining experience. For me, I love the jalapeno chilies, sauteed onions, and sweet pickle, but there are a zillion combinations. Last night, I had the Patty Melt, which comes on over sized rye bread, a pile of onions and American Cheese. The Jalapenos added the kick I love. The Fries are also fresh cut and not frozen, and come with some of the potato skin attached for extra taste and nutrition. My son and I split a Vanilla Shake, which was very good - sweet and creamy. There is certainly more on the menu here than at places like 5 Guys, the current standard bearer, which makes it a good option for those who do not want the beef, but prefer chicken or salads. However, to my taste buds, the dining experience is slightly less satisfying than the more limited offerings at 5 Guys. To each his own. Certainly, the burgers at Chee Chee are worthy of your time, taste and money. The cost for the burgers, fries, and shake came to $30, including tip and tax. Not cheap, but not quite an indulgence, either. Take a big bite.
