I went to check this place out because of the good reviews. I was not impressed at all. The Philadelphia rolls were good but other than that yuck! The food was bland to say the least. My boyfriend ordered tempura shrimp when he bit into it I could see the grease drip out! It was filled with grease and no flavor at all! Our server was very unusual he seemed shy or he had no clue what he was doing! I will not ever be back!

Best Asian fusion restaurant I've been to in Lancaster. Can't wait to go back! Harry's special rolls (not on the menu) were absolutely incredible!

Fresh and tasty sushi, hibachi...everything. Very generous lunch specials and the staff could not be any nicer. They are lovely folks and really care about their customers being happy. Great atmosphere too!

Sorry to say that I gave this place another try and it was just so inconsistent. The people are really nice (on the pushy side nice) and the food is just subpar. I've been here a total of 5 times now and every single time, my meal tasted and was presented different.

Amazing food - the Panag curry was mindblowing. The service and staff were so friendly and warm and helpful. Lovely atmosphere.

My wife and I lived in Japan. In my opinion, this is the best restaurant in Lancaster County for Japanese food.

Definitely a great addition to Lancaster. The lunch menu is an especially great deal. The owner is also incredibly nice, came to check on us a couple of times and made sure we were doing well. I would give the sushi/sashimi a solid B, but that's pretty much as good as it gets in Lancaster so you won't really find anything better. A great value!

Just got home after a wonderful meal at Yuzu. We will certainly be going back. Lancaster has it's fair share of good Asian inspired restaurants, and Yuzu will surely rise to the top. Firstly the food was fantastic both of our dishes were well crafted. secondly, the service was warm and friendly.Topping it all off was the atmosphere very Clean, contemporary, and casual. From the ceiling to the floor. Love and thoughtfulness was put into this endeavor...Great Experience!

Super attentive service! Amazing sushi. I didn't try the Chinese food. I tried the spider roll and it was delicious.

The Green Phoenix is pure melt in your mouth yumminess. The whole fish was also delicious. We will be back to try more.

I have been here 3 times within the last week. This is a wonderful restaurant. Food includes Japanese, Thai and Asian fusion. Tonight I had the Thai Coconut Red Curry. Wow!! This is the best Thai curry I have ever had. It was spicy with a lot of kefir lime. The sauce was intense, but not heavy. The portion was also very large. I am a vegan and they have a lot of option, but also lots for carnivores. The staff is also very friendly. One of the staff introduced himself to me and now calls me out by name when I come in, only after 3 visits. That makes a big difference in your dining or takeout experience ,

GREAT sushi and kitchen food! * Sushi is the BEST around here ever since "Tsunami" closed.. And take my word for it because I do have the "taste knowledge" of good raw and cooked sushi, plus I'm Asian hahahha * Fried rice is delicious * Drunken Noodles is the BEST I've ever had!! Sushi Chef Harry is the owner and the Hostess Jessica is his wife. Very hard working people who are super sweet. Restaurant is clean and they are kid friendly! They are also understanding to my messy toddlers- constantly bringing us napkins with a smile hehe.

My favorite sushi place in this area, hands down! Harry and his staff are so friendly, gracious and accommodating. The sushi is a home run!! Fresh and flavorful, beautiful presentations and fairly priced. Bring your bottle, they will chill it, open it, give you glasses and pour for you. If I could, I'd eat here everyday!

I love this place. Probably my favorite restaurant in Lancaster. Great, cheap food, and very friendly owners who will remember you if you come back. Looking forward to my next visit, and it looks like this place has a great future in the city.

Fantastic food and lovely staff. The food is always good and a great offering of Asian fusion. Daily specials are great and the sushi is very good. The staff goes out of their way to make sure that your dining experience is enjoyable!

While waiting for my connecting train at the Lancaster station I ended up across the street at Kuzu and was very surprised. Food and service was excellent. Good portions and zesty tasking. Appetizers, entre and desert were excellent. I am from the new York area where there are endless amounts of Asian restaurants and Kuzu was well above the normal. The atmosphere was also above normal. They also had a sushi bar that looked appetizing, maybe on my next visit.

Sushi chef Harry and his wife took special care to make my wife and me feel comfortable. She recommended we try the Angry Dragon roll and the Daizi, which we did. My Angry Dragon was spectacular, with very light, crisp shrimp tempura. Seasoning was as advertised: Slightly hot. The Daizi was perfect for my wife. Not too spicy, and quite light. We need to thank our inner city friends who recommended Yuzu; they steered us well. Don't forget it's BYOB.

Went for our anniversary dinner, we had a great evening. We ordered the sushi for two, and were treated to a large selection of fresh rolls, nigiri and shashimi. We also had one of the specialty rolls and it too was very good. We wound up our meal with a serving of the Mango with Sticky rice which was excellent, and put the perfect cap on our meal. The staff was friendly and very attentive, the owner (manager Jennifer) visited us after our meal and was very welcoming. If you like sushi I'd say this is one of the best in Lancaster.

Look out Lancaster there is a new sushi house in town and they do it right. From service to quality they get high marks You can speak to the chef if you have questions or allergies to anything he is very knowledgeable and willing to accommodate your needs. Staff is pleasant and professional. Yes if you like sushi this is the place and a very good menu

EXCELLENT. Sister and I came here for a late lunch Saturday afternoon and got there in time for their lunch specials. It was empty, but the crowd picked up as we finished. As for the atmosphere, Yuzu has a pleasant ambiance with a well-spaced layout. Look behind the sushi bar, and you'll see a square glass window showing the kitchen and chefs in action. While we both ordered sushi, we started with a Roti appetizer with the Chicken Curry dipping sauce and was precisely what I expected. I had the Sushi Bar Lunch, while my sister ordered the Classic Roll Lunch. Unlike other places that offer a choice of either soup or salad as the starter, you get both here. The sushi was top notch and was cleanly presented. Wasabi fans (like me) will love that it's very strong and fresh-tasting. Those used to having milder Wasabi at other places should definitely taste it beforehand and adjust things accordingly. But this is how Wasabi should be, strong and intense! Not having done much BYOs in the past, I wasn't sure what the protocol was when it came to bringing a boxed wine ($20 Naked Grape Pinot Noir, great bang for the buck). I think one's supposed to give it to the waiter for serving, but I left it on the table, asked for 2 glasses, and poured them myself from the dispenser. Is that weird? :-) The staff was attentive, friendly, and Jessica (the owner, I think?) wanted to get acquainted with us as new customers. She encouraged us to stop by again for lunch during the week, but told them it was difficult with her visiting from out of town, and myself living outside the city. She understood the challenge, but Jessica mentioned that I could also phone an order in ahead of time and have it served later in the day. I'm not sure if that meant I could phone in a lunch order, and have it served for dinner, but that's really nice if that's the case. An appetizer, two lunch specials, a fried Red Bean ice cream, and tip came out to under $50. The staff was very dedicated to earning our business and satisfaction, and did so very ably. Keep up the good work Yuzu and see you again soon! Sidenote: The restrooms have nice Bonsai trees atop the sinks. Think it makes hand-washing more therapeutic! :-)

By far the best Sushi in Lancaster County. The fish is very fresh . The rolls are like flavor explosions. The Red Bull beef was omg delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. We didnt even care my husbands order was wrong. He ordered the Sashimi dinner but was served the Sushi dinner. It was delicious so no problem. We cannot wait to go back!

Excellent service, superior quality, value for the dollar are the high points of Yuzu Asian Cuisine. The sushi is top notch, maybe the best I've ever had. Chef Harry and his wife/hostess Jessica pay extra attention to getting the absolute best product; and it shows. Yuzu is at the top of my family's choice for lunch/dinner/snack. Our favorites are the specialty sushi rolls, basil duck, uni (when available), whole snapper, or any of the daily specials. Simply fantastic. Sit back and get ready. You'll thank me later.

We had 2 sushi rolls that were outstanding, white geisha and the angry dragon. Everything tasted so fresh and light. We will definately be back ;)

I cannot believe I haven't eaten here before. I have had sushi from hundreds of places around the US, Europe, and even Asia (have not been to Japan yet). This little place, right near my work, is in my top 3. If you factor in price, it is easily #1. I walked in and the chef welcomed me to the bar, since I was alone (Japanese style). I knew he must be good, so I ordered the chef's special (his choice). I'm usually apprehensive in doing that since low-end places might give me old fish that they need to get rid of, but not here... The tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and others were perfectly fresh and sized. Rice was excellent. The CA roll that came with it was as good as a CA roll can be. Maybe this was just luck and I happened to be there the right time. Can't wait to go back tomorrow to find out! ;-)

Let me start by saying I've eaten sushi all over - California, Texas, Las Vegas, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Colorado, etc... Yuzu is definitely in my Top 3!! I have been twice in a week, once to try it and back for my birthday - it's that good. Service and food was excellent! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

I ordered the chirashi plate and my boyfriend ordered the crispy pork platter. His portion was substantial and the meat was cooked very well. The chirashi was very fresh and the presentation was beautiful. Definitely some of the best sushi on Lancaster city. *very clean restaurant *good service

Good not great. Had the Basil Duck. Barely any basil, stir fry was tepid temperature-wise, and not spicy at all (it was supposed to be). Hmmm. On the plus side, the crispy duck was delicious. Brown rice is an option which is great. Miso soup as far as I can tell, I am no expert, was good. From the reviews, it sounds like sushi is the way to go here. Maybe by trying to be Pan-Asian they are not in their zone. I just enjoy duck because it is hard to find in Central Pa. I like sushi but don't love it considering that one can drop a lot of money eating it. So, there is very little here that I wouldn't look elsewhere for first. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Place is dark, so dark I couldn't see the menu at the sushi bar. I was a bit snow blind coming in from the street. Again, Good not great. Consider serving dishes covered or get them out pronto. Stir fry should be sizzling a bit when it is served. Don't promote the dish as spicy if it is not. Fairly basic food principles. I would give the dish a B.

My girlfriend and I ate here for the first time about a week ago, loved it! Came back a week later and it was just as good...great sushi and great food in general...the owner is very nice and welcoming as well as the servers!

Excellent! Yuzu was recommended by a friend this past weekend and tonight was the night to try it. The restaurant has great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly. The sushi was awesome and in my opinion, probably some of the best in the county.

My husband and I went back tonight because we loved the sushi so much. We ordered three rolls (and got a couple of pieces as a little bonus--eel and spicy tuna, delicious). The rolls were yummy, as usual. The service was much better. Same waitress, sans other confusing waitress. Do yourself a favor (and me) and order sushi from here. I would love to see this place thrive :)

I was leaving for NYC and had some time, so decided on a quick bite that was conveniently next to the Lancaster train station. I looked up Yuzu on Yelp and it had crazy good reviews. Justifiably so. This place is fantastic. The sushi was delicious. I look forward to many more business trips in Lancaster, and will give myself extra time to pop in. You should, too.

After reading some positive reviews for the restaurant we decided to give it a try. Because we love Thai food we stayed on that side of the menu -- big mistake. The versions of Thai food presented to us were in short - just terrible. The so called Chicken Satay appetizer was a total abomination - inedible. We asked our server if it was really chicken - but she didn't detect our unhappiness and instead insisted that any confusion was owing to the secret Satay flavorings. Whether it was chicken, pork, or dog will remain a mystery as the apparently frozen strips of meat had been dumped in a fryer and desiccated to near jerky consistency. Memo to kitchen - remove this dish! It was truly nasty. The sauces provided for the satay and fried spring rolls were served in ramakins with the sauce so shallow in the dish that the appetizers could only graze the sauce. The entrees of Pad Thai and a Shrimp/Scallop combination curry were marked as spicy on the menu. We asked the server to make sure they were just that, spicy and hot. What we got were super sweet, bordering on desert concoctions with zero spice and altogether very bland. The seafood was rubbery frozen stuff. Give it 2 stars because it was our mistake to go to a side area of the menu that was not the strength of the restaurant. Hopefully if we went back we'd find the Sushi and Japanese dishes worthy of the praise found in other reviews. But after being served some really terrible food on regular menu items it isn't likely we'll be back to try anything else.

Wonderful place. Great options, sushi is delicious. Can't comment much on the other food/pan-asian options. A little on the pricey side but portions/rolls are pretty big. Pepper tuna very good. Good place to bring a date. Parking space outside. Accept cash/credit.

If you're looking for great sushi, great Thai food and great Chinese food, try Yuzu. The owners are friendly, the location is convenient and the food is absolutely fantastic. If you like sushi, ask for the Harry roll (it's not on the menu). Even if you don't like sushi, this (cooked) roll will make you a convert!!

Best Sushi I've had in Lancaster. I believe they get deliveries 5-6 times a week, so the sushi is always fresh! Prices are reasonable, service is fast. BYOB too. Nice decor, great ambience, and friendly service. Haven't tried their thai offerings yet, but I'll have to get some curry next time I'm here. Big menu, should have something for everone, even the people who don't like raw fish.

Ate here on Friday with party of four. It was packed for dinner at 7pm. The staff (owners) were obviously unprepared for the volume and so we waited for service exceptionally long. HOWEVER, they were VERY apologetic about this throughout the meal and once things settled down they were very attentive. What more can you ask for...they are a new restaurant and there's a learning curve (they are five months old). Lesson learned. The owners ushered us out after three hours and a pleasant conversation about their background and start-up in Lancaster. As to the food, it was exceptional Asian food. The sushi and sashimi were carefully prepared, and high quality dishes. We are two Asian families with much experience....yes, this is good food! The menu is a nice mix of Japanese and Thai selections - my favorite options for both. And I might add at a very reasonable price. We'll be back.

Delicious food, by far our favorite place for sushi. We make the drive from York and have always been satisfied! Owners Harry and Jessica are friendly and knowledgable, the atmosphere is great... and the sushi is beyond spectacular. Looking forward to many more visits to Yuzu!!!! Truly a new gem for Lancaster!!

We visited Yuzu last week and loved it. For me the true test is in the sashimi. You can't fake fresh raw fish, and this was perfect. Not fishy, very tasty, and beautifully presented! On top of that, they were the most hospitable and friendly restauranteurs I've ever encountered, down to coddling my one-year-old who pulled down a full glass of water on most of us and left a second meal on the floor under her. The chef and owner, Harry, came out and introduced himself, and our server, Christine, was as sweet and attentive as she could be. We will absolutely be back and will be telling all our friends that this is the place to go in Lancaster for Asian cuisine. I can't wait to go back and try some other menu items!

I came in at 9:30 on a Sunday night, not realizing they closed at 8 and the owners were still willing to serve me a to go order. I was so flattered, but I didn't want to keep them so late. Came back the next day for lunch and they remembered us! So nice. Overall, the food is alright; could be better. But, the owners are very open to constructive criticism and are always looking for ways to improve. Nothing here to write home about, but nothing to complain about, either. Only thing is that they are a little bit pricier than what I'm used to, but this seems to be the norm in Lancaster.

The owner, Jessica, served us tgeir specialty - herry's special sushi roll. I will be inviting my co-workers to join me for lunch tomorrow. Come check it out!

We were looking for sushi prior to Christmas shopping at Park City. Thanks to the positive Yelp reviews for getting us to this wonderful new restaurant. We were greeted at the door with such a warm welcome. I felt like I stepped into a major metropolitan sushi restaurant. The modern fun Asian decor was not the typical Lancaster Asian restaurant. The owner and his wife introduced themselves to us and asked how we got there. I explained about the positive Yelp reviews and they were flattered. I started off with a Thai salad. This was accompanied by two dressings on the side. Peanut and ginger. These were by far the best example of these standard Asian dressings I have ever eaten. I split my salad in two so that I could enjoy both. My teenage daughter kept tasting both dressings stating she could just eat the dressings for lunch. I'm not the biggest miso soup fan, but I might be now. Abundant tofu and seaweed in a lovely miso broth. Delicious!! The artfully made sushi was obviously fresh and delicious. I almost did not want to eat it because it was a piece of art. The presentation was stunning. I had the sushi dinner which was 9 pieces of sushi and a spicy tuna roll. Fresh and delicious. Obviously a higher grade of fish and a sushi chef wanting to impress. Which he most certainly did. I would highly encourage you try Yuzu. If you are looking for all you can eat grade sushi, do not come here. I predict this will be a very busy and highly regarded sushi restaurant in Lancaster in the near future. Enjoy!

We came here for my birthday three days ago and I can't stop talking about it! Since moving to central PA from DC, the biggest thing I've missed is good sushi. THANK GOD FOR YUZU!! What we devoured (while coming close to happy tears): From the Sushi & Sashimi Entrees - the "Sushi Star" (3 Pcs each of tuna, salmon, yellowtail, white tuna, and a spicy 2 in 1 roll + soup or salad) $22. A La Carte Sushi - Japanese red snapper (their special that day), amaebi, scallop, and california uni. Dessert - Fried green tea ice-cream. There was absolutely nothing to complain about when it came to the quality and taste of everything we tried. All the fish were so fresh and served at the perfect temperature (I've had problems out here with sushi that clearly wasn't the freshest and served too cold). The rice wasn't over seasoned like most sushi places in the area tend to do as well. Also, it's amazing quality sushi for central PA sushi prices...can't get any better than that! I wake up thinking of the sushi and go to sleep thinking of the sushi. I keep looking back at the photos on my phone. I have a problem to say the least. Finally finding a good sushi place out here has made me the happiest girl in the world! (Major points to my husband for finding the place!)

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE!!! We were in town for a volleyball tournament and saw the great reviews on Yelp for Yuzu. Food was outstanding and the service/hospitality was even better. Our family had some sushi, Pad Thai and various curries. All were very good. The red curry was a little too spicy for my wife's taste. When we were asked how everything was and she responded that it was very good, but a little spicier than she expected, they brought her some additional curry broth that was more mild to help offset that which was too spicy. So kind and unexpected, but it speaks to the genuinely friendly service we experienced. We enjoyed talking with the owners and learning their personal stories. They were so sweet and wanted to know our names although we were only visiting the area. We had a wonderful evening of good food and making new friends. It doesn't get any better. Pay Yuzu a visit and tell those you know to do the same. They won't be disappointed and the owners deserve the opportunity to grow their new business. A night out our family won't soon forget. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

Great New Sushi Restaurant. Refined yet intimate atmosphere. Excellent place for a business meal or a date. It is BYOB (for now at least). The portion-size for sushi rolls are very generous. What stands out the most is the excellent customer service. This is a family-owned restaurant and the owners clearly put their heart and soul into their creations and they work hard to make sure their customers enjoy their dining experience. (Of note, Ichiban used to be my go-to for sushi, but their sushi chef, Chef Jay, is no longer there and I would update/remove my old review for it if I could.)

Green curry was fabulous!! Green tea ice cream was more savory than sweet but was a perfect compliment to the sweet coconut in the entree. My first time, hubby's second. Will definitely not be our last!!

We recently moved to Lancaster and were so happy to find Yuzu! The sushi is fresh and delicious and the presentation beautiful. The staff goes out of their way to make us feel at home. The owner, Harry, is passionate about what he does and it shows. We have already become regulars at Yuzu!

Update: Food is still amazing. Really anything you ask for on the menu is delicious and beautifully prepared. However.... And this is a big however. Pray to the God of food that one of the owners is your server. If they are, you will have a GREAT experience. If not... Prepare for a painful dining experience. The server we had was clueless, had no idea about the specials, slow, forgetful and just all around bad. For example: the owner told me about an oyster special. Sounded great, my question was how many oysters in a serving. The waitress looked like a deer in the headlights. I had to flag down the owner and ask him again. After my oysters, I ordered a plate of sushi. However it was brought without soy sauce. I ask my waitress and she walked away and never came back, again I flag down an owner for help. Last but not least, my wife ordered a few items and one sushi roll, guess what? Got everything except the sushi roll but it was on the check. We told the waitress and she had the nerve to say "I asked you if it was ok, why didn't you tell me?" In conclusion, the food is outstanding but they need to get some good servers because the owners can't do it all by themselves.

I was feeling under the weather so I decided to get some spicy take-out food - I've heard good things and it was on my way home - perfect! Nope. I ordered the tom yum soup (I think they have a different name for it) and the green curry (with comp salad). Got home - no salad dressing. The tom yum soup was all broth - exactly 2 shrimp, 2 snowpeas, 2 baby corn, 1 little mushroom and a few excessively long bamboo threads. Good broth flavor but not very filling. Green curry was ok - all tofu and bamboo slivers. I will go back to try the sushi and hopefully update my review for the better!
