Vegetarian options are very good here - we had an artichoke sandwich that was amazing. We also had a salad - the A and F which was a little overdone with a syrup they put on the walnuts that had some bourbon on them plus the bleu cheese could have been crumbled more - the concept of the salad is a good one - but these finer points on the execution of it held it back. Excellent service and a desert menu that features local ice creams - including vanilla shakes topped with homemade whipped cream which we had -- we were not disappointed. Definitely good and reasonably priced - more attention to detail will help them get to the 5 star level.

Not a fan of brunch. However their eggs benedict with lump crab won me over. Seriously the best out there. The bloody mary was made with fresh squeezed tomato juice.. How amazing is that? Ruins all other bloody marys for me. Had no idea how good it would be. Delicious.

If I lived in Lancaster, I would haunt this place. I rarely give 5s unless a place really leaves an impression on me. 1) best bang for your buck - large portion sizes. 2) customer service is on point - we were tended to by our kind waiter, not too much that it got overwhelming, and not too little that we felt forgotten. They also were very informative on the food 3) they seem very community oriented, besides having good decor, awesome music, and delicious food, they have freaking themed nights along with movies they show. This place is perfect for brunch with the parents, a drink with friends, and date night. Can it get any flipping better? No. Food: Got the chicken and waffles - the best so far that I've had on the east side ( I gotta go to the south of course) And the smoked salmon frittata- which was delicious! Sister got the pancakes and they were huge!! I am definitely due for a visit again soon. But yes

We had brunch here. The decoration is pretty and stylish. I ordered brunch tier, which serves brunch in a "high tea" fashion, very interesting, and delicious of course. My husband had pancake, fluffy and delightful. We would like to come back again!

We were staying in the Marriott about a block away when we walked by this funky named little spot in downtown Lancaster. I liked the theme of the restaurant (Australian with an asian flair) and the ambiance was very nice. We were seated promptly and the waiter was very friendly. We ordered a couple drinks and the deviled egg appetizer. The waiter told us what was available for our 3 year old daughter. The appetizer was average - but I didn't expect too much from deviled eggs. The food we ordered was very good - although the dish I ordered which was "The Fisherman's Stew" was missing something. It had great flavor -- but it was starch-less. I suggested to the waiter to tell the chef to rework the recipe and he has a winner. Maybe some rice or noodles somehow integrated into the dish? While I was not blown away by the place - the great ambiance, decent food and excellent waitstaff would get me to return if I am in the Lancaster area again. The waiter did give me a coupon for a free appetizer and dessert for a return visit!

Delicious brunch options. Great ambiance. Super fun decor (the large orange seats and such are creative and fun, and exposed brick is always a favorite of mine). Delightful and hospitable staff. Aussie And The Fox is the kind of place I'd visit for brunch or drinks on a regular basis, for sure. It doesn't hurt that the mimosa was delicious (okay, and the Bourbon Billy Tea was pretty yummy too). My Pork BBQ Has was a bit fatty and could have used more BBQ flavor, but was otherwise very tasty. I sampled the veggie frittata special that my cousin ordered for brunch as well, and it was also pretty good...she just happened to think it was a bit too egg-y for her taste. My cousin's husband ordered the pancakes though (2, not 4, considering they were pretty sizable) and was very happy with them. TL;DR Would definitely visit again at some point - for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Loved the feel of the place.

I've had brunch and dinner here a few times and every time it was delicious!! Brunch was a new and exciting menu from what I'm used to with plenty of options. I love that they have so many options for dinner and that they use locally grown ingredients.

Popped in for brunch - had the "Beet-L-T", made with local ingredients including the best Chevre goat cheese ever. They also pull one of the best espresso shots in town, using Gerhard custom blend.

Huge fan of: the decor, the cocktails, ambiance. Not a fan of: the food. Consistently lacking in creativity of execution and flavor. Go around the corner to Carr's or Rice and Noodles for dinner if you're a foodie.

I thought this place was such a great find in Lancaster! Great vibe. Good service and really fantastic food and drinks. We started with the Moscow Mule and the Col's Collins. Both were delicious! I had the Col's Collins and I'm pretty sure I'm going to crave this drink for months to come. We had the "dressed" calamari which again, was so good. Great flavor. Light breading. Just what we wanted. Probably my favorite course was the salad. The "Not Your Average Caesar Salad" was phenomenal. The soft boiled egg should be served on salads everywhere. Wow...what have I been missing out on??! Definitely will be attempting this little add-on to salads at home. Our entrees were probably our least favorite, but still good. I had the Australian Pie and my husband had the Coriander Crusted Ahi Tuna. Both nicely done, but I think after seeing so many of the Aussie Burgers leave the kitchen looking (and smelling) ridiculous, they just didn't measure up. Couldn't recommend this place enough though. Hope to go back if I'm ever in the area again. (worth noting my husband went back 4 days later for a work dinner and again, loved it)

This review is only for their Strawberry rhubarb iced green tea. I'm willing to come back to give them a second chance. Aussie and the fox has quite the posh atmosphere, the moment I walked in I forgot I was in Lancaster, I was definitely fooled into feeling I was in manhattan. The furniture, lighting, wall decor was somewhat grandiose. Great atmosphere for a girls get together either for dinner or brunch and a great spot to take a girl out for a dinner date. I wasn't here for dinner, rather I wanted a drink in a cafe setting. Probably the wrong place for it since it seems more like a restaurant. Least to say, I sat at the bar and had a strawberry rhubarb iced green tea. It was meh, sure it's free refills but it tasted watered down and there was no strawberry flavor. I would come back to try the food though since it seems to be what it's more known for...

This is a large venue in downtown Lancaster that boasts a great bar scene and fantastic menu. The offer a late night bar menu and their fries are excellent. I was very impressed and look forward to coming back for dinner.

Aussie and the Fox is a fantastic restaurant! One of my new faves in the Lancaster area, actually. I've been here twice so far and I'm continually impressed with the service and experience. Our waiter was the same both times, a guy on the younger side. I wish I could remember his name so I could praise him more! He's the bomb. Most recently I went for Sunday Brunch. Had a fresh tasting mimosa, deliciously-strong caramel latte, and the Lump Crab Eggs Benedict. Awesome, perfectly cooked, tasty. Beautifully decorated interior. Can't say enough good things :)

Everything about this place is amazing. Make a reservation. We could only get in for brunch (which was phenomenal). Amazing food and an amazing esthetic. And I love the branding!

Do yourself a favor, make a reservation! This funky spot is gorgeously designed, fabulous vibe and food is delish! As an Aussie I did giggle because there was nothing on the brunch menu that was 'Australian' but each morsel was great. We are keen to try the dinner menu - this place is 2 hours from our house (a bit of a hike). My honey and I shared the brunch tier (a selection of cured meats, boiled eggs, toasted bagels, crossiant, jam, brie dripping with honey, proscuitto, smoked salmon... so many different things and only $12) way too cheap for the deliciousness. It is presented in a gorgeous way and perfect for sharing. The only thing that would make this better is the addition of GF bread. My honey also had the smoked tomato bisque and raved about it. The beer selection is great, the Aussie wines are good too and the cocktail menu is fun. Leave room for dessert. We had the salted pecan tart with chocolate ice cream and mocha sauce (divine) and the espresso chocolate cake (GF) with coffee ice cream - seriously this should be illegal. It is like ganache on a plate. We should have shared - it was decadent for sure. As an Aussie I was most delighted that they actually listed the coffees the way we do in Oz, that made me so happy! It was fun to order a long black or short black - ah it's the little things I miss about Oz. We met 'Mr Fox' of the Aussie and the Fox (he's the investor) and very charming making his way around the restaurant to meet the diners and encourage them to return. It was lovely to hear the story of how this restaurant was created. We will be back to try the dinner menu for sure.

It's just beautiful in here, right across from the Central Market, amazing design and colors. Warmest welcome we had had in a long time, and there is an incredible vintage-inspired cocktail list, although we did not try it. I was hoping to see more Australian wine showcased. OMG the sweet potato fries are crispy and good, and the portion is huge. I had the beet wrap without the cheese, and they had some cashew ginger cream on hand to replace the savory for me. I was thrilled. Who knew fresh beets could taste so good in a wrap? I'd go again for drinks, but there is not much plant-based on the menu. Love to see that expand this because they seem to have knowledge and creativity in the kitchen. Looks like fun to sit in the windows, and seems like it would be a romantic spot at night.

We were excited to try this place, but I can't believe how unbelievably rude our server was. She was clearly having a bad day and was so nasty to our daughter we cancelled our order and left. Will never come back or recommend to anyone.

Came back a second time and had a delicious fish dish that was even prepared to my specifications (without heavy cream, since I'm lactose intolerant). However, my drink, which had ginger beer, had so much ginger I couldn't drink it. I just kept coughing and sneezing. It was unfortunate. Also, the music was awful; it was part of Lancaster music festival and the woman signing sounded like she was a dying cow. Therefore, my experiences here continue to be mixed.

After spending most of the day in town we say Aussie and The Fox for the first time and decided to stop in on a whim. We had planned on having a drink because we had dinner reservations at another location in Lancaster. We sat at the bar and were quite happy with the drink menu that we were given in terms of variety and pricing. While we waited for our first drink we ended up talking to The Aussie and it was quite entertaining. It has been awhile since I got to talk Cricket with someone! We ended up having such an enjoyable time during out first drink that we decided to stay and called to cancel our reservations else where. Dinner was just as fantastic as the drinks that we had and we were so happy that we ended up staying to eat.

Swanky decor with lots of unique touches. Definitely puts you in the mood to spend more money on their craft cocktails and food. Absolutely blown away by that cauliflower appetizer and kale salad. Pretty much liked everything except my hangar steak. Avoid that one. Good food, service, and fun atmosphere.

Place is amazing. Staff are very friendly. Nice, clean, hip atmosphere. The Crab Eggs Benedict were amazing. Went very well with the Aussie Iced Coffee. I feel dumb for not picking up a bag of their coffee when I was there. Im not from that area, but if I go back Im definetly coming back here.

Love love love this place! The modern, funky ambiance, the friendly host (Michael) and staff, the wonderful meal... don't miss this gem! The crispy cauli are amazing, not greasy as you'd expect with fried cauliflower. The devil eggs were great: a fresh, modern twist to an old time favorite. I had the jerk chicken, which was prepared flawlessly: juicy, crispy skin, very elegant seasoning. The coconut corn bread was surprising and awesome - I don't even like corn bread normally and I ate almost all of them. My husband got the herloom grains and loved it. I highly recommend this wonderful representation of the revived Lancastrr restaurant scene!

Went in this morning for Sunday brunch and had a fantastic time! First of all the caramel latte, ohh that latte. Easily the best I've had. They make their syrups in house and you could tell. It had more of a caramelized sugar flavor than the typical synthetic "caramel" taste and it was fab. Next, I highly recommend the candied grapefruit. It had like a creme brûlée sugar crust which was paired with Mascarpone and honey, so good. My husband and I split it to try it out, next time I'm getting my own. I had a ham and gruyere frittata and my husband had the croque Madame which had a bread pudding base with the egg and ham on top. His was the best. I kept seeing other dishes pass by and I realized I wanted to try them all. Overall, it was a pretty great brunch. I was nervous about it seeming a little pretentious but that wasn't the case at all. The atmosphere is great, it's decorated beautifully and best of all the staff doesn't rush you through your meal. For 2 large lattes, the candied grapefruit and 2 breakfast entrees we paid $34 which I thought was pretty great.

Damn you, Yelp. This is not the first time you steered me wrong with the hours for a place. Now I look like the crazed tourist yanking on the door handle because you're telling me 7am and I can see someone inside but it's really at 8am that they open. But after killing some time at Steinman Park (which is really cool) we made another attempt and this time the door opened and we found ourselves another winner. Really cool workers and a big open space with cool artwork and hip vibe all around. The portions were big and one difference I started to notice between PA and NJ - in PA the pancakes have a heavy char on them. My kids didn't seem to like their stuff as much and I'm not an egg person (which is prominent on the menu) but it was good eats all the same. (And their "Dirty Hippie" drink was damn good.)

Gorgeous, swanky place with a sophisticated/hip vibe. Interesting drink and food menu. They know how to use herbs & spices in unique and different ways such as basil infused vodka, gremolatta olive oil dressing, chili remoulade. A little pricey, but that is due to quality and uniqueness of the ingredients used. Also, my friends and I had a little bit of a wait at the bar, which wasn't a big deal because the restaurant was busy, and we had gotten some drinks...we were given a free appetizer to share because we had to wait. It was completely unnecessary, but heck yeah, awesome! The bartender was professional and very nice. I WILL DEFINITELY be frequenting this place.

Our first stop in downtown Lancaster was here for lunch. Took 2 friends from Australia. Nothing really Aussie authentic. A few mistakes on the wine list regarding names of locales from where in Australia the wines came from. Atmosphere was really elegant, but relaxed at the same time. Service was great. Chairs were really comfortable. The food; The lunch special ($13) comes w/soup,salad of the day and half a sandwich. The soup(white bean stew) described by our waitress as thick and hearty; was anything but. In stead it was a bland thin broth w/ a bit of potato, onion, carrot and 3(yes, I counted) white beans. The cucumber salad was really nice and the prosciutto, brie and red pepper aoili on ciabatta was delicious. This trio for the money was definitely overpriced though. My mate did enjoy his pulled pork sammie.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now and finally went last night. My friend and I both had the Australian Pie. It was wonderful. The ambiance is fantastic and the owner took the time to stop by our table and see if everything was to our liking. Our appetizer, a spinach/artichoke/cheese sauce with flat break was ok but a bit heavy on the lemon flavor. Would have liked it more it that was turned down a notch. All in all I'm very happy I got to try it will definitely come back again. I hear the brunch is excellent.

Went for Mother's Day Brunch...taking mom someplace we hadn't been yet. It did not disappoint! The menu was fabulous. We had some wonderful dishes. I wish I could recall them all! We also had some specialty bourbon cocktails that were wonderful. Service was attentive and the ambiance was great. We would definitely go back.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Last night my associates and I left the Marriott in downtown Lancaster PA with suggestions from some locals that we explore the next block on King St. We immediately were attracted to the space and vibes of Aussie and The Fox. Great wood paneling and stained glass details, colorful couches, a big bar and booths around the perimeter. Some how they were able to achieve warm and cozy and with not the least bit of stuffy. AND there was a great duo singing and playing lots of new music - great voices and lots of energy, We all enjoyed exploring the menu and then sharing tastes around the table. I enjoyed the kale salad with shaved winter squash - plenty of crunch and flavor, then lamb meatballs on a pancake of lentils - bravo Very good wine list and wonderful attention from the owners and the staff. We could not have found a better place to spend our evening!

This place is charming. The espresso ice cream with flourless chocolate cake is delicious. Drinks, for as much as they are touted, are nothing to write home about. They taste ordinary. It's also very expensive for what you get.

6/13 was our first visit to A&F. We had a reservation for 5 p.m. The hostess attempted to seat us in the window. I am not window dressing. I advised her that we had reservations and her response was that the restaurant was booked for the evening and that all tables had been specifically requested. Most tables are for 4. When I asked for a booth in the back of the restaurant she stated that she could not seat us as we were 2. We took a seat at the bar before dinner. Unless you are 6 ft. 5 in. it is uncomfortable. Seats are low, bar is high. While at the bar 2 people came in and they were seated in a booth for 4 (the same booth the hostess told us was not available. Dinner was less than fair. Service was less than fair. The one star is for attractiveness of the restaurant.

My husband and I make it a point to stop in here every time we are in the area for Sunday brunch. The staff are so kind and helpful. The food is amazing - best brunch we have ever had. The apple crisp pancakes are delicious and so is everything else we have ever tried! My husband loves the coffee, and I love the mimosas! My husband ordered the lump crab and tomato bennys on our last visit and loved it. I stick with two eggs and bacon, and always order extra bacon because its the best on the planet. The atmosphere is wonderful. The place is so uniquely decorated. You definitely will not be disappointed at Aussie and the Fox!

WOW! I have been here twice and have been blown away both times. The first time my wife and i went here we sat down for the late night happy hour on Thursday night. With no exceptions, the bar tender... no scratch that, the mixologist blew us away. I said, I like bourbon and I would like something with the local thistle and finch white whisky. He thought about it for a second and came back with a white Manhattan that was stellar! I would have easily paid twice as much for that drink. Second time was for brunch, I had the crab eggs Benedict and it was fantastic, perfectly poached eggs with a tangy hollandaise sauce and huge chunks of crab. It was a delight and prepared perfectly. I highly recommend this place and cannot wait to try more of their menu. All that being said, the superstar is the mixologist.

The decor alone is worthy of 5 stars. The food was a little lacking. We started off with the fried cauliflower and calamari for appetizers and the only thing notable was the broth the calamari was served in - I brather have that served alone as soup. I ordered the pork loin served with crispy kale and this cheese bread thing and it was way too salty for my taste. But dispite the food I found it to be cool, cozy and very welcoming atmosphere. The employees were helpful and attentive. They had a live band play at dinner which made the night a little bit more special. Overall I'll def come back, but most likely for just drinks and apps at the bar.

This place is delicious! Love the a&f salad thats my go to. Ive also had the calamari, so good! And the tomato soup is very good too! Mr.fox comes around and says hi, which is a nice touch. Place is beautifully decorated.

Fantastic for lunch. Wife had a soup, wrap, salad special that varies every day. Don't let the "grilled cheese with steak" fool you - it's the best cheese steak you'll ever have. The space itself is a little awkward as there are really cool tables towards the front but not so towards the back. All in all #foodie is alive and well in Lancaster

  • Audrey D.

They have made up wait times based on how you are dressed. Even though open table shows tables available we were quoted a 45 min wait. I had dined there for lunch before .They haven't succeeded in making me crave Australian food either which I had quite a number of times so far

Well decorated, fun and changing menu, great bar. Definitely worth visiting, though be weary, sometimes the service is a bit slow and a reservation is not a bad idea. However, there is usually seating at the bar, which is a fun experience. Again, let me reiterate -- slow service.

Stellar drinks and the food and service to match! - 4.8 stars (can't give a full 5 stars on an event night) I happened to visit on their one year anniversary, when everyone was on their best game serving up free petite desserts and champagne (Yay!). However, after talking with the owner, bartender and some of their regulars, I could tell that this was not just a one off experience but that they truly strive to provide a great product and experience to their customers. Brenton, the bartender, was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable in concocting cocktails. His first recommendation was their Keystone Manhattan made with locally distilled Thistle Finch Rye white dog whiskey and Carpano Antica, which they barrel-age together for 4 months in house, then serve with a burnt orange peel (nice theatrics). It was a bit raw and sharp from the rye but great spiciness, balanced sweetness and a nice citrus aroma. Next, I had their A&F Salad (roasted beets, apple butter, whiskey walnuts, bacon, hard boiled egg and blue cheese with a balsamic date vinaigrette - $9) and the Bidjiwong (bourbon, apple brandy, maple bitters and ginger beer - $8). Honestly, I feel that this is where they shined! Both the drink and the salad walked a fine tight rope where any one ingredient could throw the whole taste profile off and be a complete disaster. With the salad, the combination of the variety ingredients made for a new experience with each bite, making it interactive and personalized all tied together with the incredible dressing. The Bidjiwong really caught me by surprise with an interesting, complex aroma of apple and ginger spice. The first sip was challenging though, slightly soapy, but then came the sweet apple and ginger paired with a woody, leathery whiskey and a touch of citrus from the lime garnish. The effervescence from the ginger beer helped lightened the drink and guide the palate through the complexity of flavors. Nice but a delicately balanced drink. Finally, Collin, the owner, was nice enough to make me a Mr. Fox ($8) to end the night. This was my favorite drink! As their take on an espresso martini, he combined vodka, cold brewed coffee, honey and lavender bitters. The bitters added nice floral notes and creaminess to the drink while the honey added sweetness and depth of flavor; like a boozy, sweet cappuccino. Overall, the Aussie and the Fox is a solid restaurant to visit in Lancaster: great food, stellar drinks, and a terrific staff. They have all the ingredients to be successful, and I wish them many more years to come. I can't wait to visit again.

What a gem of a spot. We were excited to check it out, and it far exceeded the hype. We dined with our 20 month old daughter and another couple, and all of us had a blast. Drink menu was original and my wife loved her specialty cocktail. Would have been cool if there were a few more Aussie-centric craft beer options on the menu but the beer list was quality. Inkers and mushroom pankora started the feast off right - the calamari was quality and delicious and the pankora original and well-prepared. My wife enjoyed her mahi-mahi pita special, as did the baby. I took a shot on the fisherman's stew and it was perfect. Spicy enough, great seafood, nice portion. Desserts were excellent as well. Restaurant is spacious and beautifully put together. Staff was quick, courteous and professional. No issues with the price. It was crowded but we never felt rushed or had to wait. A very impressive meal. Well done.

This place is awesome. The decor is fabulous, inviting and warm. The staff give this place a great vibe, everyone is friendly, courteous, professional, and efficient. We decided to come here prior to a Tellus show. We did have a reservation so getting in wasn't an issue. It appears that they have a community table at the front of the restaurant for those that don't have reservations. That is a great idea. The place was packed. There was a lot of excitement in the air. Our server was Kate M and she was on top of everything. We started with the "Inkers", their term for calamari. We ordered our's dressed. You can get them undressed as well. I think the difference is dressed are breaded, fried, and tossed with a lemon vinaigrette or sauce. They were delicious. My wife had the Ahi Tuna. It was served with farro and a tomato-based sauce. I was jealous when it arrived, it looked fantastic! After tasting it, the taste matched the visual. It was delicious. The portion was very nice. I ordered the pork loin. It was served with broccoli rabe and this unusual cheesy polenta cake that was absolutely fantastic. The pork loin was sliced thin and perfectly cooked so it was juicy and tender. They have a nice selection of wines, cocktails, and beers. They have bottles of Uinta Hop Nosh for 5 bucks. Nice! This place is superb and one of Lancaster's many bright spots.

We stopped here for a late lunch today and were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted by the hostess and seated immediately. The waitress quickly brought us glasses of ice water and a carafe of chilled water. Their breakfast/lunch menu was a single page, but despite this it took me a while to choose what I wanted, since most of the choices were very appealing. We ordered a bowl of the cream of mushroom soup, which we split. My wife ordered the beet wrap, which came with sweet potato fries, and I ordered the steak and egg, with hash browns and a spinach medley. The soup was quite good and we both enjoyed it, though I felt that it would have been even better with a little sherry in it. My wife, who had said she was staving when we arrived, was only able to eat about half of her meal. The presentation of my meal was wonderful. The steak was cooked perfectly, sliced in 1/2" strips and fanned out on one side of the plate. My egg was also cooked, as ordered, the vegetables were crisp and warm, and hash browns were very tasty. What else can I say, the service was very good, the food was wonderful and the cast was quite reasonable. We will definitely eat here again!

I always add an extra star for service! Every time I come here the service is outstanding. My sister brought me in for my first time in spring 2014. The pork shank ....Ohhhhhh myyyy the pork shank over a cheddar and chick pea gratin....* Homer drool* the gratin alone would be a vegetarians wet dream! The owner is an absolute delight as well. I adore coming back to my roots..my hometown and finding such gems!

Some friends of ours told us that we need to go there. We met there for Sunday brunch and i will say it was one of the best dining experiences out there. The staff were very friendly and the food was even better. The atmosphere was very open and warm. I would suggest this place to anyone.

Really really good and I love the decor. Started with mushroom pakora for an app which the sauce was incredible. I had the Aussie burger which was great but not quite cooked to my order. My girlfriend had the mussels special which was amazing. Drinks were great. They had a variation of a Moscow mule which had orange in it and their old fashion was very refreshing. Only thing was it took forever to get our drinks and the place wasn't that busy. Our waitress was so nice, apologized a few times, and comped our app. Overall A+ and we will be back with friends

This was my second dinner at Aussie and the Fox. We were seated quickly upon arriving at our reservation time and the service was very accommodating; it appears that the owner makes a visit to all the tables. Rolls were served to begin. The rolls were warm, but very poor quality. They had hardly any flavor and tasted more like a hoagie roll or something you'd buy from the supermarket bakery. The butter was whipped and tasty though. I ordered the Braised Lamb Meatballs. The description sounded unique and delicious. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by their execution. The meatball itself lacked flavor as did the tomato "sauce" that was on top. The sauce was also very liquidy and completely flavorless. The meatballs were moist though and had good texture. This was topped on a lentil patty, which was very bland and very dry. I could only eat a few bites. The yogurt honey sauce drizzled on the sides didn't go with the other flavors in the dish at all. This dish sounded good in theory but was poorly executed in my opinion. Another person I was with got the Australian Pie, which was flavorful. I didn't care for the mashed potatoes underneath though. The third person got the Cesar salad and scallops appetizer. The salad was pretty good, but nothing to rave about. The scallops were okay- a little undercooked and very salty. I loved the celery root puree that came with it though. I'm not sure that I would go back here given all the other dining options in Lancaster.

The positive Yelp reviews didn't disappoint. This place is aesthetically appealing on all accounts: branding, decor, wait staff (Heidi was our waitress, and she was the bomb), and food presentation with matching quality and taste. Family and I went for dinner and ordered the peel and eat shrimp, veggie flatbread, and orchietta pasta, all of which were delicious. Peel and eat shrimp is just what it sounds like: manual labor that's totally worth it. Two sauces accompanied a lovely portion of shrimp, and the dilemma of the evening occurred when I couldn't decide which sauce I liked better. The veggie flatbread is a sandwich with, surprise, vegetables inside. We got a side salad with it too (you can get fries or sweet potato fries for extra), and the dressing was beautiful in my mouth. Finally, there's the orchietta pasta in all its green splendor and glory. Meat was perfect, sauce was perfect, pesto was perfect, etc. The best part of this food was that everything tasted so fresh. Post rich meals, my stomach can feel kind of uneasy, but post this meal, I felt like I could run a marathon, but I didn't. We went on a weeknight on the earlier side, and there was no wait, but it's probably pretty packed on the weekends. It's so cool and hip - why wouldn't it be? If you're in town, definitely worth a gander.

Oh man, what a treat in Lancaster! I'm visiting from NYC and this food was not only delicious and beautifully presented the aesthetics of my dinning experience were hip and fun! I had the Aussie Brekkie (sp?) and a Bloody Mary for Sunday brunch and it was perfect! Good coffee and good service, too!

We came here for a Sunday brunch around 11. We didn't have a reservation but we're grateful to be sat right away at the best table, one right by the window! The food was so good, not overpriced, our waitress made sure everything went smoothly and was very nice, and the Fox himself even came over to make sure everything tasted good. This was the best dining experience I have had in Lancaster, and it was nice to see such a wonderfully charming, modern restaurant have such a welcoming feel that was still interested in improving their restaurant and not settling on what they already have.

We had a visitor this past weekend who is a bartender working on becoming a bar owner one day. We knew we HAD to bring him here, plus we were really interested in trying the brunch food. We started out with a round of their brunch-y cocktails - I had their bloody mary - which changes seasonally and is homemade! The guys had two coffee based drinks. All were very tasty and impressive - not cheap, but worth it. I've never had a bloody mary like the one I had here - it was very tangy and interesting. Not super spicy but still very refreshing and interesting. I got a frittata with spinach, brie, and salmon. The salmon was a little off but whoever thought of putting brie in there was a genius so I forgave them for it. Boyfriend got chicken with waffles - one of his favorite dishes - and he was happy with it. Our friend got the brunch tiers with assorted pastries and cheeses. He was also pleased. The food was veryyy reasonable. It's pricey (for drinks) - food is cheap though - but I think this will probably become our go-to place to impress visitors. Very cool!!

Truly delicious! The crispy potatoes were the perfect appetizer, and the chicken pie divine. Points also for a nice, cozy ambiance. I look forward to coming back again!

This place was really top notch. The waitstaff was very friendly and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was really cool too. My fiancee and I both ordered the Aussie Burger and were huge fans. The sweet potato fries were amazing! Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because of some minor inconveniences. I made a reservation for 8:30 and when we got there our table wasn't ready. By the time we were seated it was around 8:45 (really no big deal). But when we were seated, I wasn't given a napkin. Also, our server looked like she was working the bar too. But she was still awesome and tried to help us out the best she could. Definitely check it out. It's a little expensive, especially for cocktails, but I think it's well worth the price and meshes with the artsy vibe of downtown Lancaster.

Went here last night and had a great time! Started with a Not Your Average Caesar salad and really enjoyed it. I think I would have preferred the egg to be warm (is that weird?) and perhaps have all the greens grilled...personal favorite, I must admit. The bar drink menu was quite impressive. I was debating the Bidjiwong and another featured drink with ginger beer, but was swayed to the Bidjiwong by our server, Natalie. Natalie, by the way, was fabulous! She made the entire meal so easy and relaxing - thank you! Needless to say, I ordered 2 Bidjiwongs, and they are one of my favorite cocktails now! Finally, I ordered the Heirloom Grains for dinner, and my significant other had the Orecchietta Pasta (it's green!). The Heirloom Grains platter was wonderful - tons of veggies mixed in with quinoa and other grains, which was right up my alley. I couldn't possibly eat that entire meal in one sitting though - took over half of it home! As for the Orecchietta Pasta, it was well received, too. I had a bite and no complaints with it - it was also finished, and no leftovers were left. Overall, great experience at Aussie and the Fox. I would have preferred another sandwich options, or maybe another special added to the list. The atmosphere is great, and I was eyeing up their happy hour specials - I'll be back!

Amazzinnggg food. Cute decor. Crappy service. It was a Wednesday afternoon around 1. The place was not crowded at all. So not sure why our waitress (Allison) was taking so long. Initially she blamed the bartender for being slow with our drinks and apologized but after that it was a wrap. We waited 20 mins to place our food order with her. She was definitely tending to a larger group first even though we arrived prior. She didn't even stop by to check on us after our food came to see if we needed anything.

I loved the Eggs Benedict/ Poached Eggs!Boyfriend had the Chicken and Waffles and it was more than plenty for him. Also, we had Mimosas and an Iced Caramel Latte and they were both delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is great -- not too loud, not too quiet. The place gets plenty of business even on a Sunday. They take reservations.

Stopped in for lunch based on a recommendation and loved this place! There were only a handful of customers, so it made for a quiet, relaxing long lunch. The decor and furnishings were modern, but comfortable. The server was pleasant and helpful. I had the pumpkin soup topped with a dash of nutmeg, followed by the roasted vegetable & goat cheese flat bread. A little confused by the flat bread -- it was folded over almost like a calzone. I ordered the side salad with it - fresh, crunchy vegetables with a light olive oil dressing. Yum-O! I'm not a vegetarian, but I could eat that meal every day! The flat bread was delicious -- the veggies perfectly done, and that cheese was incredible! Perfect combination. Can't wait to come back here for dinner! Recommend!

This place is great! Excellent food and the atmosphere is something out of Greenwich Village. Awesome find in Lancaster, PA. Some may find the menu to be a bit limited, but I think it's perfect. Many places are going this route. They will have a changing menu of select items, rather than a robust, continuous menu. My only complaint is that the server was a bit "flighty". Took forever to bring drinks for our group, or to come back for more cocktails. Other than that, I have no complaints.

This was my third visit to A&F. My first two visits were great. The service was wonderful and the food was excellent but a little over priced. My third visit was extremely disappointing. My husband and I did not have a reservation and were told they were booked for the night but we could sit at the bar. The bar was full but we were told several parties at the bar would be seated momentarily. During our wait not one member of the staff offered a drink or acknowledged our existence. We waited 15 minutes for a party of three to be taken to their table (during that time we counted 10+ empty tables). We approached the bar to sit and the bar tender told us we could not sit at the bar as there were two gentleman waiting for those seats at the "Community Table". We promptly left and had an amazing dinner at another local establishment. We won't be back. Big Mistake Aussie, big, huge.

Really cool place. Brenton the bartender was very cool and personable. Colin the owner seems cool as well. Came on Wed night so pretty quiet but I guess the weekends are packed. Definitely need to come here.

I had an Aussie burger for lunch, all the food was delicious and different. My server Heidi was excellent and helped make it a very positive experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is bohemian/modern and the staff is all very friendly and accommodating. Lunch was affordable and pleasing, good healthy food to fill up on!

I've been to this place once before. Great food and we had a great waitress. This time I went, we sat at the bar on a Saturday at 1:30 pm. Ten minutes passed without any acknowledgement from any staff. The person we assumed to be working at the bar walked away from the bar cash register at least three times. Still without acknowledgement. So we walked out. Was disappointed because I wanted a pre-theater cocktail. Big bummer.

Came here the first night we lived in Lancaster. Quite possibly the best preparation of cauliflower I have ever had. Highly recommend getting that app if it's on the menu. I had a burger and it was cooked perfectly. One of the owners stopped to ask us how everything was, which is a nice touch. Only thing keeping it from five stars is the service was a little slow.

We went on a Saturday night with another couple and had a somewhat unfortunate experience. First, when we looked at the menu we were all rather excited by the choices. Then the server, upon greeting us, informed us that they were out of the tuna and the barramundi which were two of the entrees that were going to be chosen by the ladies of our party. Somewhat resigned, they both settled on the prawns. Myself and friend each ordered the orecchietta pasta. Then when the poor guy went to get our drinks he had to come back to tell us that the beer that one of us wanted was also out. I felt bad for the server as it was his first day solo, but the management needs to do a much better job of ordering apparently as being told that three of the things we wanted to order were unavailable does not leave a good first impression. The orecchietta was very good with the tasty ragout; not particularly stand out, but certainly tasty. It could have included something like a braised pork chunk or pork meatball to go with the ragout. The prawns were delicious as was the hash that accompanied, however the effort to de-shell them ended up being very difficult and messy which the ladies were annoyed by the third prawn. As A&F is endeavoring to enter the upscale, fine dining domain, they might want to rethink the presentation of the prawns, or at the very least offer wet wipes. I understand the flavor aspect, but it was a detraction. Dessert was very good. We got the salted caramel pecan tart which was a great finishing dish. Overall the meal was good, but there are some management and execution issues that A&F need to address. We will probably give it another try, but not in a big hurry.

I went for lunch today for my first visit. I ordered crab and hearts of Palm salad. There were barely any greens, which is usually what salad consists of. I was very disappointed, especially for the price. Nothing interesting. Will not go again.

I love this place! It's my favorite breakfast spot in the city. Fresh, yummy, and a lot of food! We have gone to dinner here a few times for special occasions - great atmosphere, great food, and the people who work there are always super nice and welcoming.

I'm actually not sure how the food is here. I don't know if this tip is for the restaurant posting their hours wrong (there's none on the front of the restaurant) or Yelp's error of posting the wrong hours. I tried to come here for a bite to eat on a Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. On the Yelp page, it said that this place closes at midnight on Saturdays, which I thought would give us PLENTY of time to eat, have a drink, and be out by midnight. When we arrived, the doors were locked and they were already cleaning up. So much for the trip there!

As locals, we love trying all the new and great restaurant choices we have in Lancaster County and especially Lancaster City. We finally got around to Aussie and the Fox tonight before heading to the Lancaster Symphony. Decor and atmosphere: very nice. The space is used wisely, the place feels warm and inviting and the noise level, although high, is not unbearable. I would not call it a good romantic spot, but a good high energy spot. Greeting and service: Fine. Not overly impressed with the server's speed or knowledge of the menu though. Nothing bad but nothing to brag about here. Food: great menu choices and we're told it changes seasonally. We had the prawns and the Black Forest panini. We would like to recommend the prawns. But we won't. They need some work. You get three intact prawns, which need a bit of work to shell and eat. That, in itself, is not too much trouble. The trouble is they are set IN the Sweet Potato Purée. IN IT. This creates a big, messy problem for the person trying to eat them. The chef needs to place the prawns next to, rather than in, the purée. Add to that the fact that the combo of the prawns with the Sweet Potato Purée and eggplant is not a real appetizing one and you have the makings of a huge disappointment. On the flip side, the wine choices are fine, the beers are great, the desserts excellent, and the people are friendly. Prices are good but inching toward the high side for what you are getting. Parking couldn't be more convenient, with the King Street Lot directly across the street. Overall a good spot for food you won't find anywhere else. Worth a try.

Aussie and the Fox is one of my favorite spots in Lancaster. I love the environment and the service is excellent. The food is well priced, the menu diverse and the cocktails are the best I have had in Lancaster. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Aussie and the Fox is the perfect place for an awesome meal or a delicious cocktail. I can't wait to go back!

It was quiet so we sat at the bar, the bartender was great. Made a special Jack Daniels sour for my wife that she loved. Had a great lobster appetizer and split their burger with the fried egg. More than enough for two people. The service is always good here and the crowd usually is too.

Once again another great night at A&F. Near closing time, bit never rushed. Great conversation with the bar staff about food, drink and life. Took some visitors with us who now understand why this is our favorite place in Lancaster for a drink. So glad A&F is part of the Lanco scene.

I'm so delighted this place opened in Lancaster. Finally, a great, hip restaurant with equally great meals for vegetarians and vegans! I really appreciate having A&F as an option when visiting my family. I only wish Lancaster had been this cool when I was a kid growing up here..

Perfect location. Have only had their brunch for a in house meal which was very good and let me get out of my safety zone and try new things. Only down fall is that is it a little pricey but just abt any brunch is pricey. Also stopped in for drinks and was impressed but again pricey. Very classy place and a good spot to have drinks before dinner or if you are just having a night on the town. My favorite is their takeout window. The best espresso & breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Reasonable prices and the 2 girls I usually see working in the window are very nice and are always smiling. Breakfast and lunch takeout is a 5/5 stars in my opinion.

I visited this restaurant twice. Both experiences were good but not great. The drink menu has a lot of variety but drinks are a bit overpriced. The food was tasty but not as good as I was expecting. I'd be willing to give them another shot.

Great drinks and the appetizer we had, the "naked" calamari was amazing. The prices are higher but if you are looking for a nice place to enjoy an upscale meal in downtown Lancaster, this is definitely the place to be.

Went there the other day with a buddy after church. Had the chicken and waffle. Great. It was the perfect brunch plate. The waffle was sweet but not cloying, the chicken was both shredded and also croquettes. There was some sparse tomato-based sauce on the plate too. My buddy got more of that than I did. The décor of the establishment urban chic. Nice architecture, high ceilings, exposed brick, warm lighting. The bartender--we sat at the bar--was friendly and welcoming. I had an imperial stout with my dish and it was served in the right type of glass. The lunch was reasonably-priced. I have been hoping more cool restaurants would open up in Lancaster city. The town's food scene lags behind its music and arts scene. Aussie and the Fox seems to be another piece in the downtown puzzle. One of the owners was making the rounds when we were there. That can be a good touch or annoying. I think it best to givers diners their space. If you want to check-in, catch them while they are leaving or greet them when they come in. Otherwise, it seems intrusive to hover--or look like you are hovering. I hope the place does well.

Food was excellent. Atmosphere is very cool and a great addition to our city. I recommend the Caesar salad and the pasta, both were fantastic (although I don't eat meat so I ordered it without bacon) This is a great place for all meals. And when it comes to dinner you basically can choose to spend a lot of money or food and drinks, or you can have a great meal without spending a fortune. Lots of variety. I've also made this my go to spot Saturday mornings before work. The flat white lattes are great

I wish I could give 4.5. The main food was delicious. The owner came to our table and greeted us personally. The soup was really hot and had great consistency. The ingredients were very fresh from local food providers. The cream was really whipped and fluffy on the shake toppings, but the shake themselves were just melted ice cream. It may have been a fluke so I'm giving them the five for future improvement.

Awesome environment. Tonight they have two guys (Bob and Tom). INCREDIBLE Entertainers! Was the best part of my meal. Don't get me wrong the service was very good, but the music......Excellent! After a long ride this is definitely how I needed to end my evening! The naked Calamari was delicious. The creamy onion soup.....not for me, but I typically don't like creamy soups. I do like to try new foods, so not a mistake! I was too tired for a full dinner. Really just wanted a glass of wine:-). Which I enjoyed a great recommendation for the waitress! I enjoy a wise waitstaff when it comes to my fault beverage recommendation:-). Happy girl going back yo the hotel....after a few more songs! Excellent music. Thanks!

I truly wish I can say the food was better. The ambience and décor of the restaurant are just amazing. The food however, is not. The food was absolutely not restaurant quality-although looks great on paper, the overall taste/presentation was a huge disappointment. I guess for Lancaster this isn't a bad restaurant but this place wouldn't stand a chance in a bigger city based on the food alone. Probably will not return.

Me and my better half have been to A&F twice and love the atmosphere, food, and service. The first time we went the server was absolutely on point, the 2nd time not quite as good, but still ok. Both times the food was fresh, original, and delicious. My top recommendations are the A&F salad, the chicken pie, and for desert the toffee brule. At this point it is my favorite place to eat dinner in lancaster.

I highly recommend reservations, my boyfriend made reservations for us on Valentines day, when we arrived we were 45 minutes early, and they still made room for us so we wouldn't have to wait. The service is amazing, I have been here 5-6 times and each time the food is still so good! I love the a&f salad with the roasted chicken! So good! I suggest trying the crispy caulie... I was hesitant at first but its tangy sauce adds a a good flavor. We both got the same special, which was steak, amazingly good, made exactly the way I liked it! Our server kept checking up on us but not too often that it was annoying. Love the atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to try something new.

Beautifully cool atmosphere, unique and refreshing food, awesome and friendly service, diverse crowd, interesting selection of beers and drinks smack dab in the middle of downtown Lancaster. On top of that, the food was incredible....some of the best calamari I have ever eaten in my life. I can't wait to go back.

Service was honest, but not helpful. When I asked the difference between two pinot noirs, the server said he sells a lot of the cheaper one. There was no offer to consult a sommelier or a bartender. My barramundi was left under the broiler a bit too long so that it developed a tough exterior. One of the reasons for choosing this dish was that the fish was said to be served on a bed of kale. The kale was tough and bland. The noise level was pretty high. Overall, Lancaster has several better choices.

My husband and I live in downtown Lancaster and when we first saw the decor from the sidewalk, we had misgivings. Is it too trendy? Is it going to be too expensive? We were delightfully surprised by extremely friendly service from the hostess, who showed us immediately to a table for lunch. A very upbeat, friendly server brought us menus and water and advised us of any specials. I had a beautiful crab and hearts of palm salad, which was a beautifully plated lunch portion. My husband had a chicken salad wrap, also beautifully plated and portioned. The decor is very cute and cozy, but not so trendy that it made us uncomfortable. Our server was attentive with checking in, but not annoyingly so. The amount of local offerings were very nice to see and we will definitely be back.

Really loved this place! The decor, to start, is super fresh and hip, but also warm and comfortable. The layout is spacious but cozy; the bar is nontraditional but functional and cool. I want to hire whoever designed the place to come and makeover my house. We went for brunch and were blown away by the bloody Marys. Heirloom tomato with basil, white pepper, and a smoked salmon garnish. It tasted like real fresh tomatoes, not like V8. To die for. Food was great too. The menu had so many tempting things-- ham and gruyere bread pudding!!-- it was hard to decide. My husband was really impressed with his steak and eggs, served with some sort of delicious potato hush puppy type thing, and I had soft boiled eggs with french toast sticks-- best of both worlds! Oh, and we got an order of the apple crisp pancakes because we had to try them. They did not disappoint. Service was excellent, and one of the owners really went out of his way to speak with us and make us feel welcome. For the gorgeous decor and delicious food, I though it was very reasonably priced as well. Bloody Mary may have been $10, but it was worth it. Food was downright cheap by my estimation, considering the beautiful atmosphere, quality ingredients and perfect preparation. Definitely check this place out for brunch! We can't wait to try it for dinner!

I was excited to try the Aussie and the Fox over the Thanksgiving holiday- what a cool new restaurant concept to add to the downtown scene! This review is for the bar area only. I went with a large group on a Saturday night, and miraculously we were all able to find seats (at the corner of the bar too, so we could all chat). The space is so neat inside! They've really done a great job with the renovation, and the atmosphere really lends itself to the experience. The bartenders were very friendly and whipped up some of the best drinks I've had in Lancaster. We tried a few: Berry Basil Smash (the original with gin, and then subbed out the gin for vodka), Pink Paper Daisy, and the Sydney Sunset. All were very original and really artfully prepared. The crowd favorite was the Berry Basil Smash with gin... so good! The Champagne balsamic vinegar and basil leaves make the cocktail not too sweet. I literally could order it all the time. We had a great time talking with both bartenders and watching them make drinks. This would be a great place to meet a friend or take a date out. I can't wait to come back and try the "tucker" on the menu!

My husband and I came here for breakfast, it was our first visit to this establishment. We loved the decor and the location. I had the Aussie Brekkie and he had Salmon Florentine Eggs Benedict. We both liked what we had but we did tell the server that the poached eggs were a tad over. We also ordered the Chickpea Sausage but they did not have it so we will have to try that another day. They have alot of vegetarian and Vegan options so we will be back for dinner.

  • T H.

Beautiful space. Good service. Horrible food. We recently had shared several appetizers and a burger between three of us. Here's how we all felt: 1. A $15 burger should not come with frozen tasteless fries. 2. A tuna on salad greens plate (served with a side of salmon?), even when asked how we would like it served (asked for med rare) should not come out of a can. Why ask the doneness?? And the afterthought of a thumbnail sized side of salmon??? 3. Calamari was fried well but served with an abundance of olive oil and no dipping sauce. Who oils fried food? A dipping sauce was delivered when asked and was good. 4. Possum Knockers (mushroom hushpuppies) while cleverly named, utterly tasteless. 5. Lastly, wine/cocktail pours the smallest I've ever incurred and certainly not reflected in their pricing. BIG mistake. We all know restaurants make their lion's share of profits from the bar, but to be this stingy smacks of inhospitable service. We did however, from our seats, have a great view of the bus station. Isn't it the trend nowadays for restaurants that spend enormous amounts of money designing their space to tend to hide these workstations? I recognize the newness of the place had much to do with our experience and will give it another shot, but the beautifully appointed bar/dining room won't make it a success in our eyes if attention isn't paid to what's served. $$$ (?!) UPDATE!!! Since my last experience I've had two more: 1. The website stated at the time the "coffee window" would be open during dining room hours. We went two Sundays ago and it was not. I asked the friendly hostess if I could order an espresso from the bar and the answer was yes. 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, nearly 20 for a to-go-coffee and I finally cancelled the order as my dog was standing in the rain for nearly a half hour. 2. 3rd strike. Went for brunch last Sunday and had: chicken and waffles - large waffle and some small portion of sort of barbecued chicken and tasteless "crouquettes" reminiscent of the "Possum Knockers". Crab "eggs Benedict" Awful. Sent back. Crab horribly bland and quite probably bought from Sysco. Eggs completely overdone. No reason whatsoever for a roasted tomato on this dish and "hollindaise" separated and utterly oily and inedible. Martini once again small - $10.00 and possibly the worst "Mimosa" (house speciality - grapefruit juice, a thimblefull of champagne and St. Germaine) $12.00. Even without the charge of the "eggs Benedict" brunch was $50.00. Left to go eat elsewhere. Having the owner stop by the dining table each time off-putting and superfluous. Especially when rightfully complaining within earshot of others unseemly.

Great dinner out! Wonderful wine selection and the steak was perfect. Definitely make a reservation.

Good potential but didn't fully deliver on this trip. Menu selection limited and we both had to settle for a burger. Partner ordered Aussie burger which came without two of the specialty condiments listed on the menu. They may have to revisit menu selections. Service was somewhat uninspired. Nice decor and good downtown location. Will try again but won't be first choice that comes to mind.

The atmosphere at Aussie and the Fox is great. We had one of the best seats in the house last night which helped to make up for a somewhat mediocre dining experience. We heard so many good reviews of this restaurant from friends and family that we decided to try it. The Caipiroska cocktail was very good. My husband had his third choice of beer since they were out of the first two he tried to order. The creamy onion soup and A&F salad were delicious. Things then started to go downhill. Our meals, Ahi Tuna and Barbied Prawns were delivered before we were finished with our soup and salad. This is a major pet peeve of mine. When I'm spending $100+ for an evening out I want to enjoy the experience and not be rushed. The tuna was good but the farro side was only okay. The prawns were served in the shell with the heads on, which we knew. However they were overcooked and just about impossible to eat as they couldn't even somewhat neatly be peeled. It was served with a sweet potato puree and eggplant caponata which was very good. While the food was served much too quickly. Once we were finished we ended up waiting at least 15 minutes for the server to take our credit card after our check was delivered. Start to finish -- 50 minutes. Not the nice, relaxed dining experience we were hoping for. It's a shame because the restaurant really is beautiful. We're hopeful this was just an off night and will go back again to give it another try.

I wish I could truly express how much we enjoyed our experience. We met Frank the Bartender and Frank the Banker, both of whom enjoyed our company, not just our business. Can't wait to go back next time we're in town!

The atmosphere is incredible. Gorgeously decorated, classy and comfortable, yet not stuffy. The food is incredible. I had the Aussie burger and the burger patty alone was probably the best I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned and cooked, I would have eaten it by itself. The fries are shoe string and seem to be freshly cut. Hot, crisp, yet soft inside. The smoked trout appetizer is phenomenal. Highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fish. On our second visit we actually met the owner as he went around to every table and spoke with the customers. Very personable, down to earth man who truly cares about his restaurant and customers. We've been there twice so far and will be back in a heartbeat!

This downtown trendy and chic place offers amazing and innovative drink options and incredible appetizers. It's Sunday brunch menu is a must in Lancaster. Hand crafted drinks including a unique and fresh take on a Bloody Mary, Delish! Crab Benedict is my favorite, the poached eggs are always amazing (hard to find in Lancaster City). Take it from a NYC native......a must try for everyone.

Went here for brunch on a rainy Sunday and didn't have a reservation, big mistake, the place was packed. We were going to head over to Pour, our usual brunch spot, but the hostess came outside after us to let us know that a table was opening up in 5 minutes so we decided to stay. I really liked the decor of the restaurant, very eclectic. Our server was sweet and although it took a while to get everything from drinks to food, we enjoyed ourselves. The only complaint I would lodge is that cocktails are sort of pricey when compared with other bar/restaurants in the area (The Pressroom, Penn Square Grill, or Pour). I heard from another couple that we knew that the Bloody Mary's are AWESOME. Apparently they make their own mix from heirloom tomatoes and you can't go wrong there. I had the apple crisp pancakes (a special) and a side order of sausage. Both were delicious and just the right portion size. The boyfriend had their Croque Madame and it was really good, served on brioche with a nice tomato and avocado salad. We will defiantly be back.

Great decor and atmosphere! Visited on a Saturday night and it was packed. Service was still excellent and the food was great. The menu has a variety of casual fare (burgers) and also dinners. My husband had the Ahi tuna and I had the Carbonara. Both dishes were reasonably priced and excellent. We would definitely be returning!

A surprise find in Lancaster, PA. Here for a wedding and dropped in for brunch on Sunday. Love my coffee and they make a great flat white. Not sure what that is- then you need to come in and try. Seasonal frittata with squash and zucchini, delicious and their take on Croquet Monsieur has an interesting and delicious twist. Cream of mushroom soup, home made and delicious. Great bar area, decor beautiful. We will be back here

Cool decor. Not noisy. Attentive, friendly waitstaff. Owner stopped by our table and chatted. House was full on a Saturday night. We made a reservation on Saturday morning for one of the cool orange benches in the front window. I had the Barbied Prawns and my wife had the Lemon and Rosemary Chicken. Neither of us loved our entree. The Spinach, White Bean and Artichoke Gratinée appetizer wasn't great. The 5 Onion Soup was delicious. We'll be back to try other things in the future as I'm sure the menu will change. Enjoyed our experience.
