First stop here for a quick bite and the Italian sub was amazing! They make their own special Italian dressing and it was delish. Big serving for just the medium, so price was also great. Service was wonderful, friendly and family owned. Loved it! It's in the new community, Worthington, off the Oregon Pike. Come check out their salt and pepper chandeliers too!

The Sicilian pizza is to die for....try this as a byob dinner place too. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. Bring the kids. The Caesar salad with shrimp on it is one of my favorites.

We ate there yesterday, met the young owners and had a wonderful meal. Great menu and large quantities of piping hot food. It is a little hard to find because of a small sign and is partially obstructed by a gas station. Well worth the hunt!

We have had the take-out before, but this was our first time dining in. Our waitress was awesome, she was very nice, spoke well, and was very diligent with checking in on us. But not so much that it was annoying. The food was great. I got the cheese steak Stromboli. My wife got a taco salad. We live nearby and will definitely make this a regular stop. The prices were very reasonable. And the Calamari was phenomenal!

Got the chicken parm and spaghetti. Very good flavor, chicken was moist and tender. Not sure what that guys pic was all about that said his spaghetti had not flavor. Mine was perfect. Food came out fast and the waitress was on point.

Love the pizza and garlic knots!! I'm a New York native and am constantly searching this area for pizza that even comes a little close to New York pizza. This restaurant is a home run for the pizza! Garlic knots are tasty and authentic.

Outstanding Authentic Italian food! Mom from Sicily makes fresh soups. "We eat here too and we only want the best" is what she told me. Their hoagie rolls are freshly made and delicious! I had the pizza sub, the cheese steak sub and the meatball parm sub. All 5+! Grandsons had chicken tenders and BBQ wings, they loved them! Serving sizes are very generous! Highly recommend this new establishment in Lancaster.

For the most part we have enjoyed the food at Salt & Pepper, although we have not yet tried the pizza. Love the fact that it's a BYOB, but three out of the four times we've been to this restaurant, the service has been horribly slow and the wait staff is not attentive.

Greasiest pizza ever....I wish I were JR Ewing because it's like striking oil. The pizza can't crisp because it is sitting in so much oil. What are they thinking? Just plain bad.

This just might be our GO TO place for lunch, and dinner for those lazy nights :) Salt and Pepper...didn't think to ask why it was named that, but it was GREAT overall. Machele and I ordered BBQ Chicken Cheesesteak and Chicken Parm Sub; recommend MEDIUM. It was plentiful, with enough to take home. (recommend SantaFe rolls for appetizers). UNLIKE most restaurants, the subs do not come with fries, or cole slaw, or mashed potatoes lol. Machele and I were quite fine without the sides. Also, UNLIKE most places it's either quality or quantity, but with SNP you get BOTH QUANTITY and QUALITY. The service was mediocre. We're not too hard to please, other than Machele wanting to change seats if she's not comfortable. I don't mind it at all :) The interior was comfortable and clean. Thank you SNP!

Went for lunch on a chilly Saturday. Fairly busy but not overrun. They seemed a little understaffed for the volume they were serving. As a result, service was a bit slow. Atmosphere was pleasant, a step up from your neighborhood pizza place, but still casual. Seating is roomy, not overcrowded and comfortable. Good variety of pizza options. I went for a chicken parmigiana sandwich- decent serving with an abundance of cheese. The fries were pretty generic but not unappetizing. Prices were good for the size of the meal. Worth stopping buy for a quick lunch or an easy family dinner.

Went with a friend and I had a cheesesteak and french fries and it was very good. My friend had a toasted ham and cheese sub and she said hers was very good to. The restaurant is very clean inside and the waitress was very nice I would highly recommend this place.

Please don't tell too many people about this place. It will soon be mobbed. Great food, great people. BYOB? A winner in so many ways.

Meh. First off the waffle fries where the WORST, I couldn't even eat them! Our drinks came two at a time. The waitress had a very thick heavy accent which made it hard to understand her, she was also very bored sounding and very un-enthusiastic. The salad was very boring and simple. The pasta was very average. The pizza was ok, but I wont be stopping again!

Good food and large portions. Stopped in here after a visit to the Hand-Ons Children's Museum. They were able to make some steamed broccoli for my daughter, which was nice so she could get some veggies. Kind service and decent pricing, we'll be back.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
