I am obsessed with Pasquale's meatballs. There. I said it. It's okay-- they're located pretty near my office so I get to satisfy my addiction quite frequently. Now that I think about it, everything I've had from Pasquale's is pretty great and you should listen to me because I've been there a lot. I've used them for catering office events, I order take out for delivery and I've been lucky enough to sit in their adorable restaurant with laundry flying over my head. (I'm not kidding, it's decorated to look like a little village and there's a laundry line!) Their menu is pretty varied and you can find something great for even the pickiest of eaters. In addition to the meatballs from heaven, I've really enjoyed their eggplant parm, their chicken formaggi and the autumn salad.

Food here is amazing. Hands down one of the best places for subs, pizza, and wings. A huge selection of specialty pizzas, and toppings. Try the chicken parm sub. You will not be disappointed. Parking is a little weird but that's okay, they deliver. Also have a big selection of sides pasta dishes.

Wonderful. We were driving through from Boston and stayed in Lancaster for a day. This place had solid reviews on Yelp, so I ordered from here. If you're familiar with Boston, this pizza resembles Regina Pizzeria. If you're not familiar, let me just say that's a wicked compliment.

Food here was gross both times I had it. Maybe I'm spoiled living in New York and since I have never had any good Italian food in this area maybe this place is normal. Anyway, the pizza was soggy and tasteless, the Stromboli was tasteless, the gyro was horrible and to top it off tonight I ordered Fettuccine Alfredo, not sure why they decided to add broccoli to it but they did and it ruined the food, our entire hotel room smelled like broccoli. Never again.

Friend told about this place WOW one of the top hiding Italian restaurants in the area. Great service good food, phone ahead to reserve a booth. big plus BYOB and no corkage fee. Had the pasta and sausage. thanks Jimmy V for the tip

Went for Sunday lunch....the place is nice. Service wasn't that great. Took 30-40 mins to get our main course. Lobster/crab mac and cheese was good, very liquidy cheesy, after a while it was too much. Had to ask for refills and had 3 different ppl come to our table. About $80 for 4 ppl.

This restaurant is similar to Olive Garden, only it is so much better! We went to this restaurant while on an anniversary trip in May 2013. I had the seafood alfredo (I forget the italian name) and hubby had the pizza. Both were fabulous. We'll be coming back some time soon!

If U go here U have got to try the cheese steak (grinder style). I would not have guessed there would be a great sub at this place, a carry out bag was not necessary. I demolished this sandwich. How can U go wrong for a 18'' cheese steak for about $10 with all the toppings. Can't wait to go back !!

Best pizza I've had in Lancaster to date. Eggplant parm is awesome too, and I hate vegetables...unless they're deep fried. Friendly service, reasonable prices and BYOB make this one of the best Italian places in the 717.

Tonight was my first visit to Pasquales and I will definitely be a regular. We stopped in to place a take out order and were greeted by a very friendly girl and the owner. The warm welcome and the smell of fresh baked pizza told me we were in the right place. After placing our order we were given free sodas and an order of fresh baked garlic knots to hold us over while we waited. The bread was incredible and the wings and pizza we had were amazing. The excellent food and hospitality will keep us coming back to Pasquales.

My brother and I ate here last night, and I have been here a few times before. It's nice enough for a pizza place, but the location is pretty bad. Bridgeport has like 6 pizza places in the space of 3 blocks, and Pasquales is probably the best of them all. It's kind of weirdly set up, with individual booths in separate little rooms along the side wall. Never really been in a restaurant set up like that, but okay. They have good, inexpensive pizza, as well as a wide variety of other menu items. Pretty nice selection for the caliber of restaurant. Our server was kind of uncomfortable (I don't remember his name), but things were brought out pretty quickly. Overall, can't complain. I was satisfied, but not blown away. I will be back.

What an awesome experience! We are in town on vacation and to visit a certain famous train. We wanted something fairly priced, good and most of all super kid friendly since our kids are exhausted and a bit cranky. I saw lots of good reviews on Yelp so we went to check it out. We were seated right away and everyone from the hostess to the waitress was super awesome with our children. I love that they have private booths (like its own little room) so I could contain my kids and also not feel like we were annoying all the other guests. Our server Tracey was amazing!! She was friendly and helpful. She even came to the rescue with lollipops for the kids so we could finish our meal. It's a BYOB and it looked like the childless adults were having fun too! We ordered Grandpas pizza and it was a nice departure. If you like breakfast for dinner this is your jam. Thin sliced potatoes, bacon and fried eggs. It was amazing and I could only eat one slice (with an egg) because it was so filling. But don't worry because it will be my breakfast. And lunch. When I'm back in Lancaster I will be back at Pasquale's.

This just might be home of the best chicken alfredo in Lancaster County! Fun atmosphere too. Great place for a date night.

Haven't gotten around to writing a review until now but I was in there about 6 months ago and had exceptional service(we were on the pizza side). The guy behind the counter was personable and funny. We had quick service which was great because we were trying to entertain three kids. Pizza was also very delicious.

Pizzas are on point. Always get bbq chicken pizza...it's a family favorite. Doubled up today and got pep pizza along with a bbq chicken. Both were great. Will have to try a dine in experience with the wifey sometime soon. Service is great. You know when it's busy there they are doing something right!

I'm a fan. We came here for a casual lunch. We had wings, cheese steak and pizza. The cheese steak bread was so fresh! So good We love that thin crust and the pizza was great. Thanks!

1st visit .. Wasnt impressed. Staff seemed rude and wings were very dry. Tried again and it was a better experience. Pizza was flavorful BUT the Cheesesteak was soggy & bread was "chewy" order was correct, atleast?...

We skipped the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner for our wedding but still did a pretty big dinner with family/friends. We ended up coming here, and while the night didn't start out great (they originally said they could easily accommodate our large group, then we got there and it was going to be a pretty substantial wait and they said whoever we talked to didn't write something down or misunderstood, or something. It was annoying. We ended up waiting anyway and I'm glad we did. Instead of having one big table, we had a few tables toward the back of the restaurant. We had several plates of bruschetta for appetizers and it was some of the best I've ever had. There are tons of options and the entree portions were huge. I opted for the white pizza but all the pasta options looked excellent. Everything was delicious. Our waitresses were sisters and really friendly and efficient. It's BYOB, which is what kept our bill so low despite how much alcohol was consumed. The bill was less than $300 for like 15 people so it's definitely inexpensive, especially considered the quality and quantity of the food.

Very nicely decorated restaurant, also very clean. Went with a party of 10 and they were very polite and quick to seat us. I had the lobster mac and cheese, and i have to say it was about as good as it gets. Also tried the spaghetti and meatballs, that was also fantastic. Everything tastes homemade and fresh.

The place is cozy and family oriented. The interior is decorated to look like you're in an Italian city street. The staff is friendly and service was great. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday evening around 7pm and there was a 40 minute wait so be sure to make reservations! The food was well worth our time (and it wasn't a full 40 minutes like we were told... maybe only 25). We both got pasta dishes and were very pleased. Pasta meals come with bread and salad. The best part about this place is that it is BYOB so be sure to bring your favorite wine! We will be going back to try their pizza soon

I avoided this place for a long time because of the time I ordered chicken formaggi and received chicken Parmesan. It was pretty bad and all the waitress offered was an apology. I didn't want a free dessert but it would've been a nice offer. Turns out the chicken formaggi is pretty tasty however don't go there if you're in any kind of a hurry. After waiting half an hour for our dinners we asked the waitress to hurry things up and at least bring mine. That still took a few more minutes and I didn't get my dinner until 40 minutes after placing the order. My husband's dinner took 50 minutes! I consider that particularly unacceptable because the place was not that busy when we came in at 5:50! Since I consider the food there fairly mediocre I can't really see a good reason for going back. My husband does like the food but he'll eat anything with tomato sauce on it.

Good pasta. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Not as expensive as it looks. The portions were a bit too large. Booths were nice.

Pizza was bland and tasteless. I have had much better pizza from Papa John's and Domino's and that is saying a lot. I will admit that I had nothing other than their pizza, so their other food may be great. But if you want pizza that taste more than dough with some cheese on it, go somewhere else. Don't bother having it delivered, if you do decide to order from here. We were staying 1 mile away and they told me 45 - 60 mins. I decided to go pick it up and it was ready when I walked in 15 mins later.

The food is great! We get delivery alot and it's always fast and still hot. I was in the restaurant once and it's really cool. It looks like an old town from Italy. The staff were great. The catered to me and they were packed. Very good place

I went on a date and have never been more disappointed. We waited 15 min to be seated which was good. The waitress came to our table with what looked like the scraps of bread from some one else's table. We waited half an hour before she came back to take our order. I asked for more bread and oil for my bread and the waitress acted as if I was bothering her. When the food came out my seafood pescastore in so called Alfredo sauce had absolutely no flavor. I tried to add salt and pepper and that made it worse. My date had the chicken parm and the patties tasted like they had come out of a frozen prepackaged bag. It barely had any cheese on it and the sauce had no flavor. The pasta was not al dente it was not cooked. I was so embarrassed because it was my suggestion to go there since I had been there before and the food and serve was so good. I doubt I will go again

  • Emily C.

Terrrrrrible! I wasn't feeling well and couldn't go out so I ordered delivery. Not many places will deliver to my neck of the woods. Shrimp Limone - I ordered a large. It was all dry pasta, maybe 4 shrimp, maybe 4 or 5 spinach leaves, no sauce, just dry and flavorless. They should be ashamed. Eggplant parmesan - sauce was so bitter and metallic tasting. House dressing on salad - mostly water. Gross. The only reason they are getting two stars is I also ordered a sub to take to work the next day. This was ok. Huge for the price you pay. Never again.

Great, casual, reasonably priced Italian BYOB. Went back with a gang of 10 and Pasquales did not disappoint. Everyone raved about the food (incl tough Italian critics), service was nice & attentive, and the price is great; entrees in the mid-to-high teens. Unless you are a big eater, or want to take home leftovers, get the "small portions", that are more than enough for most. Menu highlights include the cheese fries, calamari, eggplant parm, Mona Lisa, and Seafood Pescatore.

I have been to this restaurant many times over the years. On my last visit, I ordered the chicken fettucine alfredo. My dinner was very, very, bland and that is being polite. The chicken was boiled and it was very gross. It was not grilled or blackened like it is supposed to be. I was disappointed, but I refuse to send food back. The food here used to be much better. There seems to be very high turnover among staff, which is not a good sign.

A very cute Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria. There is a take out pizza joint on the left and a dining room on the right. The best thing about Pasquales? It's BYOB! Being BYOB makes Pasquales a very affordable place for a date or fun dinner. The restaurant is set up as an Italian village, complete with walls covered in murals with windows, doors, and flowers, real clothes drying on a line and small alcoves you can dine in. Service is always friendly and fast and whether you are getting pizza, pasta, or a salad the food does not disappoint!

    (4)
  • Kyle S.

I chatted with the owner who couldn't have been a nicer guy! They also serve great pizza and other Italian favorites at a reasonable price. Add the BYOB factor and it's five stars all day.

Best subs and cheese steaks in Lancaster! In fact, I would say it beats any sub or cheesesteak I've had anywhere including Pat's and Geno's in Philly. I've been a regular since the first day I went.

  • Rob H.

Place used to be awesome but it appears as though the owner has hired others to do the majority of the cooking and doesn't oversee it as much. I may try again later but for now its not the first place i think of when we are looking for good food. Tried again and its only gotten worse :(

  • Jessica B.

The wait was shorter than anticipated and the service was very good. Our waitress Tracy was friendly and the food was well priced and very tasty. The atmosphere was surprising for a little restaurant in Bridgeport. It was not your typical Lancaster county Italian diner setting. (ie. Two cousins, rosarios)

  • Wayne W.

Really awesome pizza place, it is also I very elegant looking Italian resturant. I did not go over to the restaurant part as it was closed but the decor look very elegant. The pizza that I had I was the chicken bacon ranch. I can't remember what they called it off hand. I got a family size and me and my army buddy devoured the whole thing. It was cooked to absolute perfection. A little thing for my liking but that not something that would bring it down from a 4star type of pizza. They had more then just pizza on the menu as well, they had wraps sandwiches strombolis. Pretty much everything you could imagine they had. The best part is when walking in before me and my buddy even decided what we wanted they handed us two cups and said grab a drink. Free drinks and refills and we hadn't even ordered yet. Believe it or not that may have been just a small gesture but, it is something I remembered and I like it.

Had a pretty good meal here. (Caveat being from Hawaii I don't claim to know what good italian food is really like.) The bruschetta was fairly tasty. I had the Sausage Rustico which I found to be very tasty with the italian sausage being exceptionally flavorful. The dinner portion was huge and I only managed to chow down half of the plate. The waitress knew we wouldn't be able to finish our entrees and brought us take out boxes without having to be asked. I would recommend getting the lunch portion unless you are sharing or have an italian appetite. Warning, didn't really see a sign from the street for the place but guessed it was there based on the cheesy italian sculptures decorating the building.

Though I currently live in CA, I'm in PA monthly for business and I live on Pasquales! I brought my family out for 5 weeks this past summer and we enjoyed it almost every other day.

Service was timely, selection was large, music was unfitting. Our waitress was friendly, her name escapes me. She was a light-skinned black woman. We ordered pizza slices and drinks for a quick meal. My peach tea was tasty, not too sweet. I ordered a broccoli slice. Unfortunately, but somewhat understandably, it seemed like the broccoli was added after baking and only put on right before reheating. I understand a specialty slice can be a lot to ask for at a full-service restaurant, but this surprised me. The broccoli was fresh, at least. The crust was thin and crispy, just about perfect. The music was diner style, top 40. It was played as a nice volume. I would have liked a little Frank Sinatra or Ella Fitzgerald. This isn't enough of a big deal for me to really care I would recommend to a friend.

I recently tried Pasquale's while in Lancaster for the weekend with my boyfriend. We decided to give it a try after reading all the good reviews on here, and we are so happy we did! The inside is very cute with each booth in its own little nook. The food was awesome. We shared some garlic bread with mozzarella, i ordered the chicken formaggio (a newer entree) and my boyfriend got the lasagna. I got a salad with mine and he ordered fries. We both got the smaller size entree (you have a choice between small and large). Mine had plenty and I went home with leftovers, but the smaller size lasagna wasn't huge so if you are hungry and want lasagna I would recommend the large size. The fries were great. Service was very friendly, good prices, we will definitely be back when in the area.

A place that delivers up until 10pm in Lancaster rates a 3rd star. Food 2 Stars

  • Andrew B.

Overall a very good restaurant. The menu offers a great variety of traditional Italian dishes with a few unique ones. I definitely recommend any of the pasta dishes. The Stromboli is excellent too, the bread they use is so soft! The prices are about what you would expect for a type of restaurant like this- a little pricy but fair for the most part. Sometimes on a Saturday or Sunday night the wait staff seems to be a little rushed, however this is typical for a small business like this since there probably aren't that many employees. However they always are friendly and helpful about what to pick on the menu. Definitely would recommend it to dine with the family or to take your significant other.

Good selection on menu. Prices fair , food very good and friendly service. Family had pizza, stromboli, cheese sticks, garlic knots. All great and entire bill was slittle over 40.00 including beverages. I would recommend and if i am back in town, i would return.

Absolutely the best Italian food I have ever had, hands down. I got a small plate of lasagna, the portion was perfect, and I just loved everything about it (the sauce, the cheese, consistency). Our waitress (who was extremely nice, and served us in a timely manner) was training a new crew member, got sidetracked and forgot about us, but we weren't upset about that. She apologized profusely and gave us a free cheesecake for our trouble (which was awesome). Everything about this place was amazing, when I move to PA in the next year I'll definitely come back. This was the first Italian restaurant that didn't give me an uncomfortable full stomach feeling afterwards, which was a plus. Go here!

Great food in general, cheesesteaks are overloaded with meat. Wings not there specialty, go with another option. As the menus is very large. Parking can be difficult considering the complex is not filled 100% otherwise I thumbs up for local walk in. With very decent sevice and fair pricing.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
