Never again. First time beer luke warm and watered down. 2nd time - waitress in mini skirt - could not get her name as she only came to the table once. Drink order taken as we sat down, and came quickly. We waited awhile before our orders were taken but were in big hurry. Appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time but then everything stopped. We waited for and hour - no food and no waitress. Drinks were gone- our waitress walked by the table several times but would not stop although we tried to get her attention. We assume it was the manager, was in the restaurant asking how the food was but since we has none he too went past our table. One hour an half into we finally got the "managers" attention. He quicky went off to see where our food was. 10 minutes later he had not returned. We were about to leave, when our food finally arrived. Sandwhiches and a salad. Food was hastily thrown on plate, luke warm, firies were dried out and way over cooked. The salad was good. We were give a lame excuse - there was a back up in the kitchen. We had watched tables come and go over the past hour and half - there was no back up. No apologies given, and our drink glasses remained empty. We never were able to get so much as a glass of water. We waited for the bill and finally had to ask the hostess if she would get our waitress so we could get the bill. The hostess fianlly brought our bill not the waitress.

Love this place. Great food, great beer selection, huge bar surrounded by HD tvs. Enjoyable to watch sporting events. Very friendly staff and close to home.

Not a cafe by any means, but still a great place to grab a few drinks and maybe some munchies too! Great food and prices, very clean and plenty of seating at bar and at tables.

Get the roast beef sandwich and beer battered fries! Never disappointed. Great drink prices (compared to downtown) and attentive friendly service. Gets a bit loud on football nights (if you're not into that sort of thing like me).

Pretty sweet dive bar. No smoking allowed inside, decent food selection, menu specials, good beer...can't complain! Great place for a group, there is plenty of seating and the staff is friendly and quick.

Been visiting this bar since it was the old Manor Ridge. Still a good place to meet up with friends over drinks and decent bar food. Roast beef is great, beer selection is lousy if your looking for craft beers. Staff is always busy, but always hard working and friendly. They give a good pour and take care of the customer. Very loud, crowded, tight parking. But a fun place to be.

Best bar food in 717 hands down. Check out their specials as they change daily. Great bartenders as well.

Our favorite bar. Great prices. Bobby and Trish make good strong drinks. Friendly people. You'll see the kitchen sink in this place. Bikers, lawyers, older folks, younger folks, families, and everyone else. Had the Texas Roadside Rattlesnake BBQ Sandwich last night from their special menu and it was fantastic! Please offer that again. Beer battered fries are excellent. To summarize, if you like great bar food, low prices, and friendly people, this is the ticket!

This is more bar than restaurant but I have three words for you.... Get - the - wings! I found these wings to be some of the meatiest I have ever been served and although I only ordered mild tonight the flavor was great! I came to watch the football game and am not from the area so I didn't know what to expect - I was pleasantly surprised! What I found was a great place with that "neighborhood bar, Cheers-type" feel to it. My first contact was with Heidi on the phone and she set the tone for the night by being friendly and literally.inviting me to stop in! The great atmosphere continued as she and Abby served me beer and wings throughout the game. I interacted more with Heidi and I cannot speak highly enough of her service and attitude. Their is a dining room in the back half of the place and I can only imagine that when I come back for dinner I will be equally pleased. If you're looking for a local, casual, bar-type place to pop in for some comfort food, give them a shot!

Today was my first time at lucky dog. I was a bit hesitant because of how dark it was at 12pm but I had some of the best food I have ever eaten, for a great value. I highly recommend the beer fries, wings, and chicken cheesesteak!

Taco tuesday. ..okay- not only are they delicious, but you really score when you get 2 for 1.50. Best nachos in the area and the cobb salad is out of this world! I wish everyday was Tuesday!

Great Dive bar....Love it I will be going back to try the food really really soon.... So I've been back numerous times since I went for drinks. My new favorite dive bar by far! Favorite items - WINGS have an excellent kick and great flavor SLIDERS are cute and a little taste of heaven ROAST BEEF sandwich is to DIE for....actual I'm craving one right now! It's a dive bar....don't expect fancy or fast but it is worth every minute of wait. Yes and the parking is odd but if the lot is full don't park on the street behind...it means it's packed and you'll have to wait - god forbid - to get a table. The weekly specials are excellent too! I'm mad at myself for not going here sooner. Beers on tap are typical and with seasonal specials which I love. Final Words- BEST DIVE BAR IN LANCASTER!!!! OH and they always have sports including horse racing on the TVs at the bar!!!!

They did NOT mess up my aunts order. That already scores points. (She's very picky) Anyways, my review. I got there right about when dinner started and reserved a table for my group. I ordered the Green Bay Burger for myself with fries. The Green Bay is a big patty with cheese and bacon. Oh my, this is good. I only need to complain about the noise level, its a bit loud and I wanted to hear the TV that was nearby and still couldn't hear it. If you're gonna mute the TV, at least turn on the closed captioning for us. All in all, this place is good. And its right across from Dairy Queen.

Pros: open late, convenient location, one stop shopping for beverage and food, fair prices, good variety, food was tasty but not memorable Cons: parking tight and awkward, dining room setting is loud and not atheistically pleasing to look at, long wait for table in a crammed space, waitress service poor - long wait to get order taken and for food to arrive, food was average and not worth the long wait To summarize the visit - if you are in a hurry, on a romantic dinner date, or expecting a family friendly or relaxing dining experience this is not for you.

I can only vouch for the roast beef sandwich. I only get that when I go there ( I like it that much). On the menu it says it's the "world's greatest roast beef sandwich" and I agree.

Awesome food and fun and friendly bartenders. Low key crowd with no attitude. The regulars are friendly and the service is always good. Highly recommend for good bar food. Decent drinks at a fair price.

I shared the initial experience of another reviewer - the location and look of the Lucky Dog kept me away for far too long and the "Cafe" in the title is a bit of a misnomer. This place has become my go-to watering hole since. The exterior makes this place look like you wouldn't want to go in without a group of buddies to back you up but it's really the most laid-back place in town if you want to get a drink and some good bar food. They only have a few standard beers on tap (Yuengling, Bud, etc) but have a full bar and the drinks are always a little on the strong side, which is always a plus. The food is has NEVER let me down, as well.I get their wings a couple times a month and their burgers are massive, especially considering the price. They also have a few true entrees on the menu like meatloaf but I've never had reason to expand outside the wing and burger comfort zone. For the best possible service, I recommend either sitting in the elevated dining area in the back or at the actual bar. The tables to the side of the bar will get you good service up until you finish your meal but closing out my tab there has always felt like it took too long and, more often than not, I end up walking over to the bar and closing it out there. Still, that's a minor nitpick for an otherwise great bar with great food and a good staff.

Fun little dive bar. Solid Draft selection, good menu at decent prices. Food has been good every time I've been here & I've had a variety of things, Wings, Burgers, Pub Fare, it's all been pretty tasty. Lots of TV's for NFL, NHL, MLB & other various sports. Service can lag a bit in the dining room, but not too bad. Cool place to hang for a couple pints or to come dine.

Don't judge a book by it's cover! That's what kept me out of here for too long. The servers are attentive and welcoming. They even made some suggestions to what their favorites were. The food, although huge proportions, is awesome. We shared nachos and wings as appetizers. The roast beef was tender and mashed potatoes were like mom's!

food so good, i have become a regular. it aint pretty, but it is damn good. the hand cut fries are awesome. ketchup would be a crime, although malt vinegar is good for an occasional change of pace. order the side car with your sandwich 'cause a full order is just too much food with the size of their plates. Specials and fresh soups every day on the whiteboard. The 'famous' roast beef sandwich is HUGE and an exceptional value. The burgers are also quite large and tasty. The open face roast beef is also a fav. have not had a disapointing meal yet. Fast and friendly service at the bar and elevated dining room. If the place is crowded, expect service to slow down quite a bit. Its a local place without a large staff. it's what keeps the prices down and the doors open during hard times.

Environment of bar was friendly. Staff was friendly. We went specifically for wing nite and the wings were pretty good. If you want a place with good bar food go here.
