From what I see, the previous reviews all came prior to the big renovation (mid-late 2014), so it pleases me to be the first one to review the "new" Low Places. I'll start with the staff: The young man who is the new greeter there is a lot friendlier and more pleasant than his predecessor, who could barely even be bothered to look up from whatever she was doing, This gentleman no only does that, he even acknowledges that he remembers my wife and me (who come there regularly). I like the fact that the security personnel is visible, but not intrusive, good in case anyone decides to act the fool, but also not taking away from the dancers' experience. I'm not much of a drinker, so I can't say too much about the bartenders, but the few interactions I have had with them have been friendly as well. Music: When I started coming with my wife, the DJs played anything they pleased, from country to pop, hip-hop - anything that had a beat and which people could dance to. In 2010, someone decided that all that non-country was a bit too much and they changed things drastically. They have since reversed that and it's a good thing. At the end of the day, the purpose of Low Place is to get people out there line dancing, whether with Kenny Chesney or Michael Jackson. The music gets a little lout some nights depending on the DJ, though. Floor: I am not much of a dancer, but I talk to many, many people there, and many say that that still needs improvement, but it's still relatively early in its new incarnation, so perhaps they are getting to that. WiFi: They have a signal there, but it doesn't seem to be available for use by its patrons, which wouldn't be such a problem if not for the fact that the place is located in a data dead zone, but that's not their fault as the same can be said for the hotel. Atmosphere: People there are overall pretty friendly and quite chill, especially the regulars. Some are even nice enough to show you a few of the moves - just be nice when you ask. The place has a couple of pool tables, but no television sets to watch sports when you're taking a break, but it's not the end of the world. Bathrooms - not as bad as they were prior to renovation, but still could be better. Overall: Low Places is a cool little place to go if you're simply in the mood to go out, dance and have a good time, There are still a few cons to go with the pros, but all in all, it's definitely worth your entertainment dollar.

I come from a group of line dancers and we love the floor and how much room there is to dance there. However since we came from out of town it was very confusing to locate the bar since there is no signage out front to indicate that they exist. It truly is a hidden gem because you would have no idea it existed unless told otherwise. I'm glad to hear that they finally have air conditioning because we went when they didn't have any and it was painfully hot in there! As a result, all of the liquor that wasn't tap or bottled beer was room temperature (aka warm). I would definitely check it out if you like line dancing, but bringing a battery operated fan for your table just in case the ac doesn't work would be advised!

What a hidden gem in Lancaster. Where did all these cowboys come from? Live music, line dancing and cheap drinks. The hour line dance lesson before the music starts is fun too. Both the experienced and the novice are out there two steppin'. Bands are better than average. The hotel should spend some money and update the surrounding facilities. Staff is quite friendly.

Yeehaw! As a complete dancing addict, I love this place. Recent renovations have greatly improved the sound and lighting. Plus they've added live bands every Friday night. Cover charge is only $5 and drinks are reasonably priced. Plenty of seating at bar and tables. Dance floor is large and well maintained. Some nights have lessons available for beginners. Can't speak for the actual hotel...never stayed there and the few hotel staff I've seen don't say a word.
