U-Swirl is a great place to go in the summer for a low fat treat! They have inside and outside seating, so if you decide to go in the winter, you won't freeze! They have many different flavors of yogurt, and they change them up frequently so there is a nice variety. They also have many different toppings to choose from. The staff is very friendly and they offer punch cards, so after 10 yogurts, you receive one free cup! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it can be a little expensive. Overall this is a great yogurt place and I would definitely recommend it!

U-Swirl has a decent selection of flavors and toppings. The setting is pleasant, although there is a lot of 'open' space, and the service was good. All-in-all a fine frozen yogurt spot.

Driving down to the boardwalk and playing those overpriced games there can be justified more than going to USwirl and paying for this self-serve yogurt. Sure, its a pay by the ounce product. That I have no problem with. Where this place really digs in your pockets is the size of their serving containers... They got you with just the small container, which is 16oz... I have no clue how much the other two larger size containers hold, but my two older kids paid $12.50 for two small containers of yogurt with not much toppings added. And to be perfectly honest, who eats 16 ounces of soft serve yogurt or ice cream? Especially at this price per ounce... Now that I'm home having a beer, a six pack of Yuengling cost less than a 16oz container from USwirl... I didn't mean to start a review for the beer that I'm drinking. Just was pointing out that the money spent on this frozen treat could have been spent elsewhere on a better tasting frozen product. The flavoring, and I use that term mildly, was weak to mild at best....

U-Swirl is self service frozen yogurt shop that charges by the ounce. They have 20 different flavors available at a a time, and dozens of toppings. Today was only their second day in business, but so far it seems very clean and well run. When I visited and got in line, there were at least two dozen people ahead of me; I was really pleased that the line moved so fast that within about 4 minutes I was pumping out the yogurt. The yogurt is a little spendy, especially if you get enthusiastic about filling your giant cup, but at least it's relatively healthy.

This place is dangerous. Serious addiction potential! My kids and I love this place. I am not usually a fan of frozen yogurt, and I outright HATE regular yogurt...just tastes like sour, spoiled milk to me! lol But I love the frozen yogurt at U-Swirl. The cake batter is my daughter's absolute favorite and definitely in my top five. I love their berry pomegranate sorbet.

Great location, large space with lots of parking spaces. I got the tart froyo with fruits and honey. The fruit toppings they had did not look fresh at all. They looked like frozen fruit which they defrosted. The rest of the toppings were okay, however they were lacking in toppings that are somewhat healthier. They had a lot of different syrups but it was a mess counter. I took my froyo to go and by the time I arrived to my destination (a 10 minute ride) my froyo already melted. I am disappointed by how fast it melted and the lack of tartness of my froyo. I definitely have had better froyo. And I don't think I would ever return to this place again.

Not impressed. Yogurt itself was good, but found multiple toppings tried by myself and my daughter to be stale. Then, when my 3 year old daughter decided that she was thirsty, I asked for a cup of water. I was handed a shot-sized paper cup and was told to fill it up in the bathroom (even though there was a sink on the counter). Next I was informed that there was a staff member cleaning the bathroom and that we would have to wait until they were done cleaning to be able to get the key. I couldn't believe this, and thought I had to be on one of those prank shows... My 3 year old was impatient waiting, and it added an element of frustration to an otherwise fun outing. So conclusion is: average product, overpriced, and poor customer service.

Was initially very excited to try U-Swirl, finally something different other than Rita's or Sprinkles (which has decent ice cream in the absence of any competition). However, after a visit I was a bit disappointed. Yes, there were lots of yogurt flavors to swirl and combine, but the flavors were clearly from a "flavor factory in New Jersey" and the had food coloring. The fruit topping to choose from looked a bit 'tired' , and the other choices - different kinds of sprinkles, gummy bears, etc. are an overkill. My kids of course went all gang ho and we ended up paying over $20 for 4 cups of just Ok frozen yogurt. I'll be back, but probably not often..

i'm a frequent customer of frozen yogurt places and couldn't be more excited for more and more of them to start popping up in the suburban area. u-swirl has a great selection of flavors and toppings and are always willing to add a topping you think they are missing. for instance, someone wrote a note in the suggestion box about getting bacon bits, and no sooner, someone ran out to make sure there were bacon bits to choose from. the chooses are endless and the staff is very friendly. the colors are bright and cheery and i think this little goldmine is going to be a HUGE success!

I'm so glad that a frozen yogurt place opened up in a quiet suburban hood like mine! It's really helpful to those who don't want to venture all the way downtown just to get some froyo :) This place has so many toppings and flavors that it's overwhelming... U-Swirl is just what the upcoming summer season needed.

Horrible customer service. The store salesperson, also owner, raises his voice and yells at my child for forgetting to put whip cream until after he is rung up. He starts yelling at the kid in front of all the customers in the store and humiliating him. What kind of disgusting place that disrespects and degrades their customer in front of of other people like this. Also, the fruits were old, stale, and tasted really bad. I am never coming back to this rude place again.

I witnessed a mother and daughter checking out in front of me. Immediately after paying, the child dropped her ice cream. The staff stared at the mother and daughter as they (the customers!) cleaned up the mess, intervening only after the bulk of the work was done. The staff also did not allow the daughter to make a new yogurt cup on the house so the mother gave up her yogurt and gave it to the daughter. I am disgusted that a) the employees behind the counter did not assist in cleanup immediately. b) the girl was not encouraged to get another cup of ice cream. Management needs to teach its employees some manners and fro-yo business etiquette!

I don't know how the froyo industry decided that the best way to serve that was to WEIGH it...?!? its a total racket. everywhere should charge you by the weight of the food then, right? actually, im not sure if im for it or against that logic. froyo: pineapple. eh coconut. good pb. good. clean. big. how about some free wifi? after school hs girls mostly classic rock music. they could stand to use biodegradable spoons. a lot of waste going on i'd go back again - but mostly so I could fill out my 9 punches on my card and get a free one!!! wooohooooo!!!

This new self-serve frozen yogurt with a million toppings trend is making it really hard to attempt a vegan diet. For now, I'm content to keep my frozen dairy treats down to once a week. However, the fact that this place opened up in my backyard has made this rather difficult. I work in the city, where these places are a dime a dozen and a majority are very good. This place is good, the yogurt itself is about as good as it is in the city, but there are more toppings here than in any place I've been too. There are also more screeching children, but that's not U-Swirl's fault. I couldn't get out of here fast enough; my husband and I took our yogurt out to our car to eat with the windows up. I highly recommend the peanut butter yogurt and the peanut butter topping. But I love me some peanut butter, obvies! The only request I'm going to make, and I make this for every frozen yogurt place that opens up is this: please, please add a Nutella flavor. It will do well, trust.

I like U-swirl, I have came here many times with my girlfriend and bought her frozen yogurt. They have more flavors then some yogurt places I have been, and they have a huge assortment of toppings, the possibilities are endless. I like to stop here once in awhile when I'm in the area. They all have competition around and it's hard to decide which I like more. All in all good place never had a problem, they could possibly clean up a little more cause there is sometimes a mess; possibly offer some special like other places I have been.

  • Sandy L.

I could see getting addicted to this place. So many yummy flavors of yogurt. Just remember - the containers, even the small ones, are WAY bigger than you need. Half a container is plenty for one person. I especially love the blackberry + cake flavors. And so many toppings! The fresh strawberries are my favorite, really fresh and firm, no old mushy strawberries!

On 5 separate occasions I've walked in here with the intent to buy frozen yogurt and each time there was no-one in the front of the store. God forbid an employee would come out from the back and atleast greet me or answer my first time questions.... based on that alone this place is a no go!

I fancy myself a bit of a fro yo connoisseur (I try pretty much every place I find ;) and U Swirl is by FAR the best. They have a wide array of toppings and are constantly sampling new flavors. My favorite combo is chocolate mixed with coconut and topped with white chocolate! They also have sorbet and sugar free options. They have a frequent customer punch card and often have events and fundraisers making them a great part of the community.

My wife and I attended last weekend. We had a kid free night so we picked low calorie option for dessert. I loved the wide variety of frozen yogurt to select from. You grab a cup and pour what you want and as much as you want. I selected chocolate and cookies and cream. Then you move on to toppings. I selected more cookies, peanuts and magic shell chocolate sauce. Oh my it was heaven in a bowl. Keep in mind, you pay by weight of what you select. For my wife and I we paid just about $8. The complaints, because it is popular and a you serve it place, prepare to stand in line. Yes, people talk and dawdle along as they are serving themselves. They debate with people what to select etc. We believe this place has replaced our trips to a higher calorie ice cream establishment. Once we get our son here and he picks what he wants, it will be a done deal.

A go to spot for people in the area. They have specially flavors such as pumpkin pie that they rotate out from time to time. Some of the yogurt is more like soft serve ice cream. Tip: get one of their frequent buyer cards; after 10 punches, you get 16 oz of yogurt.

    (4)
  • Farren N.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the flavors are available in a wide variety, including a "no sugar added" selection. In addition, U-swirl allows you to redeem a free frozen yogurt up to 16 oz as part of their loyalty program, once you have filled a punch card.

Delicious frozen yogurt, can be pricey if you load up your cup with too many toppings. Great place to grab some froyo and customize it the way you want it. Great customer service very welcoming

This place has about 12 two-flavored machines. Good flavors. Toppings bar has fresh fruit as well as the usual sprinkles, et cetera. It's really great for kids!

  • K S.

Not the best but not the worst! When they first opened it was so nice and clean in there but now they've become messy and the seats are sticky and gross.

    (4)
  • Natasha C.

The best froyo place around. The yogurt is creamy and has a great consistency. None of that grainy junk you find at other places. They have plenty of lactose free options as well. Flavors are rotated regularly so there's always something new to try. The toppings are fresh and there all lots of fresh fruit options. The place is very clean and the staff is friendly. You can't go wrong.

    (5)
  • Peter N.

Not the greatest froyo in my opinion. I think the consistency isn't there. Can't explain why. It's thick as in too sugary maybe? Not the creamy thick. It was very sticky once it got on your hands. The options are large - looking at about 18 different flavors on hand at a time. That's pretty impressive. But I don't think they can support that many. There is no self sampling - an employee will give you a sample cup upon request. No one was around to offer me a sample. So out of the 18 flavors, you better know what you want. Boo. Lots of topping options. Most I've ever seen at a froyo place. But I can't account for how fresh they are. I'm big on mochi, and they were all stuck together. That can't be good. There's syrups, both hot and cold, if that's your thing. I personally didn't try. Maybe I was there during a busy time, but it was pretty chaotic in there. Lots of kids running around, lots of people hanging around in there. Without a sample person or a clean up person available (the froyo area was messy), the staff on hand could not handle that type of volume. And the signs posted were pretty direct. I read those signs as a ding to a place, as it makes me thing the place is all business and no fun. And isn't froyo all about fun? Lots of flavors, lots of toppings. But taste/consistency is lacking as well as staff and overall fun factor / family friendliness. I wouldn't return given a choice.

  • Liz N.

One of the best frozen yogurt places that I have been to. Their yogurts and toppings are fresh and phenomenal. Nothing fancy about the decor-But, I'd rather it be that way versus.... it being just that! Great service, and LOVE their Mochi!

  • TJ K.

Not sure how this place gets less than 4 stars...and I give a 5! We've been to over 50 frozen yogurt stores across the country and this is in the top 5. It's creamy like ice cream, yet it's frozen yogurt. 99% of the time the consistency is perfect, unlike many other froyo places where it's icy, which makes it tasteless. They use Yo Cream frozen yogurt like many other places, but the machines they use are the difference in the consistency and taste. We are here 2-3x/week!!

More like U-Suck. After giving the owner (I'm assuming) a tip for him doing nothing I sat down enjoyed my froyo for about 2 minutes. Suddenly the lights and the music were turned off, people started cleaning the chair I was basically sitting in, and then I was asked to leave. If you're in that much of a rush to leave you should of told me you were closed. RUDE. I will never be getting your mediocre froyo again. Your mother obviously didn't teach you manners.

  • Pourio L.

The fro-yo here seems like it can't decide between being ice cream or being frozen yogurt and so you get both (and not in a good way either). The frozen yogurt here is more like soft ice cream. It was very creamy (like ice cream) and did not have the same texture as the other fro-yo places I've ever been to. The topping selection is what it should be and there are tons of frozen "yogurt" flavors but quite honestly, I don't think I'd want to come out here for dessert again since if I want ice cream, there's a place down the street from me that's really good and if I want fro-yo, there's another spot down the road that's pretty good. The place is pretty big but the layout is a bit inefficient so be careful when taking larger groups here (larger than 4) and it does get crowded with high school kids so be forewarned. There's limited lot parking that's shared with other stores in the area but I doubt you'll find trouble parking. Service was just ok at best but it was pretty clean here. Parking: No problem Wait: None Price: Depends on how much you get

Finally frozen yogurt in our area!!! 5 stars just for that! They are still working on getting more furniture it seems ,but they have a really sizable amount of space and friendly staff. Here are the opening flavors: Machine #1 - Country Vanilla and Peach Machine #2 - Cable Car Chocolate and Peanut Butter Machine #3 - Island Banana and Hawaiian Pineapple Machine #4 - Cookies & Cream and Irish Mint Machine #5 - Strawberry and New York Cheesecake Machine #6 - Cake Batter and Orchard Cherry Machine #7 - Red Velvet and Cappuccino Machine #8 - Pomegranate Raspberry Sorbet and Original Tart Machine #9 - Mango Tango Sorbet and Strawberry Lemonade Sorbet Machine #10 - No Sugar Vanilla and No Sugar Blueberry What I consider a "normal amount" for one person usually runs about $4-5/person, so not cheap but definitely a treat. It's a light way to indulge in some summer sweets, so enjoy! I am sure my punch card will be full by the end of the summer.

I've had my fair share of frozen yogurt. Florida in particular loves this stuff. I on the other end- well- I find it alright. U-Swirl didn't make me into a believer that's for sure. My wife and sister seemed to really enjoy it. They have you standard flavors such as chocolate, vanilla, and even a sugar free vanilla coupled with more "exotic" varieties like Key Lime Pie and Maple Bacon. They also have a seemingly endless spread of toppings you can put on it. Be weary of the toppings and even the yogurt as is most frozen yogurt joints- you pay what the scale reads. The more you tack on the more your wallet gets sucker punched. Will I be back? Yeah especially considering the other local options which are really limited. All in all, a decent place.

U-Swirl is a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde place for me. When I go there for a sweet dessert as part of lunch on a weekday I'm in and out quickly and happy with the experience. When I go on a hot summer Friday night, I start feeling down about the state of affairs in America. Let me explain. I peeked into U-Swirl about a week before it opened and was greeted by a very nice and earnest woman who I assume is the franchisee. I hope it works out for her over the long-term. For the moment they are doing very well. I get down when see many people with their little kids there. So many people help themselves to what looks like a Man vs. Food challenge instead of just dessert. So many people are overweight and places like this with their umpteen toppings help to explain the trend. As convenient as the self-serve thing is, I wish they would just sell a kid size, small, medium and large and not conduct a celebration of gorging on empty calories. Having said that, I have a weakness for anything labeled red velvet. If there was a bag of glass with red velvet flavor I would need a split second to process that I shouldn't eat it. U-Swirl's red velvet and cake batter are great. I enjoy them much and occasionally get a crave. It might be my only craving for something non-vegan at this point. All told, go at the down-times and as much as the frozen yogurt buffet gives me pause about the state of nutrition in our society, they do have a very good product.

Despite the evening crowds, U-Swirl is one of my favorite yogurt shops. They have at least 10 flavors to choose from and do rotate "specialty" flavors pretty regularly. They also have more toppings than any other yogurt shop I have been, too. U-Swirl also offers a really good frequent buyer program compared to some other shops. They give you 16oz of free yogurt for every 10 you purchase. Other shops limit you to 5 oz. The staff is always very friendly and refreshes the toppings frequently. Keep an eye on those kiddos, though, little hands have made their way into various containers. Luckily, the staff are happy to replace anything that has been licked or had grubby fingers in it.

If you are lactose-intolerant, you can get froyo here!!! Maybe it was a godsend that the tart had run out the first time I had gone. The yogurt was more water than yogurt and milk. I tried the tart and watermelon flavors, and when I got to the register, some of it had melted already. The tart tasted actually pretty bad to the point I couldn't finish it. It was a little tart, more sour (gross), and too watery. The watermelon was decent, but that is what happens when you add flavoring and more sugar. The froyo is more like water ice that comes out of an ice cream machine. Super disappointed, and won't be returning again.

Please everyone lets keep this place in business! It is so nice to have some frozen treats that are not wooter ice or custard. I've been here only 2 times and was able to get my treat pretty fast considering the line was so long. There is a great selection of flavors and tons of toppings. The fresh fruit toppings are my favorite.

I love this place. Philly is lucky to now have U-Swirl. The yogurt is light and very flavorful. It seems like there are tons of topping choices after you are done swirling your favorite yogurt flavors. The location is great to sit down and relax with family or friends. There is plenty of free parking so that is something you don't have to worry about. I'll be going back often.

Not liking this place at all! I don't like the texture of the yogurt it was very odd! Layout very confusing too! Found staff a little rude too!

This yogurt place is top notch. I love that their sorbet flavors are dairy free so even my dairy intolerant friend can partake in the yummy fun! Just tried the key lime sorbet. Mixed with cheesecake, sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs, it's a winning combo. Friendly cashiers, great Facebook communication, all around, this place is a winner among yogurt shops. It is at the top of its game! Plus amazing brick patio make it a fun place to socialize with friends over a frosty treat. Even dogs come out for the occasion. Large lounging area inside, too with novelty seating fun for the kids.
