SSCC is the best coffee shop I have ever been into. I graduated from Juniata College and in my travels since leaving Huntingdon I have miserably failed to find a coffee place as good as Standing Stone. The coffee is delicious, the staff is super friendly, and if you have the time you should stop in for one of their coffee classes. I gained an appreciation for espresso and had a lot of fun! Go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner - it is all delicious.

Great little shop. They roast their own coffee in-house.

Really Really impressed! My wife and I stopped in here on a whim to by some locally roasted coffee and espresso to take home with us. The pickings for good coffee in central PA are slim so I honestly didn't have very high expectations... But wow did this coffee change that thought pattern. First off this coffee house is really cool on the inside and you can actually take a glimpse of there roaster if you enter in the side door, what a beautiful piece of equipment! A lot of people where having dinner out in the little courtyard and every sandwich that went by looked really delicious. I was extremely impressed with how friendly the wait staff was at this place. The owner made us a latte for the road and accidentally added the wrong flavor, rather than tossing it he said, this ones on the house I'll make you another. This is great customer service...and hey who doesn't like a free latte? Overall I found the special Congo coffee to be roasted to the perfect degree and had hints of peanut and other nut flavors it's some great coffee. The espresso we bought is the best espresso I have ever had in the state of Pennsylvania. Full bodied as well as smooth with a very rich flavor. I'm so happy we found this place and I will be making special trips when I'm in need for great coffee! Keep up the good work!

Love their variety of blends and their french press coffee. Their atmosphere is amazing, and I love the board games and the local experience you get when you come here. The downside is that the food usually takes a very long time to come out and the flavored drinks are not my favorite, but this is a must for me when I visit Huntington.

Went here a few times on the weekend, it is a great place to come and have a bite to eat and coffee while you are doing your laundry, yes you heard right it has a mini laundromat in the back of the building. If you just want to go to the laundromat, there is a door on the side of the building that you can use that way you don't have to bring your laundry basket through the seating area. They have a decent brunch selection, and also offer a wide variety of coffee styles and preparations. They roast their own beans and supply a lot of the coffee houses in the surrounding area such as Inglebean in Millheim. One downfall is that during the school year you will often find students from the local College camped out studying and will often take up a four top table with their books and laptops. This can cause the seating to be very sparse sometimes. Another is that I got a lukewarm pour over coffee other styles were hot, not sure if it was a one time thing or if just the process.

I went to Standing Stone this morning, asked for a frapp. I was looking for a frozen latte and the barista rudely responded "This isn't Starbucks." I know what Starbucks is and didn't appreciate the comment. I let that slide. Upon paying $9 for 2 frozen lattes I waited 15 minutes to received two tiny cups of a runny mess. I thought "ok" I guess this is it, but I didn't feel comfortable paying $9 for something that was poorly made. When I asked for a refund they gave me $7! I said I paid $9 and they finally gave me my actual money back. Although I am not a local I come to Standing Stone every time I am in town and it never fails how poorly I am treated. I have finally had enough and will not return. I will no longer buy coffee from here for gifts and no longer stop by for a coffee. Small businesses like this need to learn how to treat customers kindly, even if they aren't regulars. We are the ones keeping you in business.

This place is an instant pick-me-up! Warm, inviting and fun - whether you are just stopping in for a quick snack or hunkering down for a long lingering date with the hot beverage of your choice, SSCC is the place to go. All that and they are extremely involved in the community and working hard to do good at all times!

Very impressed with the selection of food and coffee drinks available at this place. Stopped by and tried it out while visiting my hometown. The employees were playing great music, modest mouse, the lumineers, for a minute I didn't think I was in the small town of huntingdon, but back in the city where I live. The food and latte that I had were excellent and fairly priced. I will definitely go back anytime I'm back in huntingdon.

Great food! The chicken salad was fantastic! We had the three cheese grilled sandwich, a mango smoothie and the walnut mandarin salad, and everything was so good! It is well lit, friendly, laid back atmosphere, great food, flavorful, and the college students and professors just hang out working on their assignments and so forth... it is great! Really enjoyed the food and ambiance!

I am not the typical coffee shop girl, but Standing Stone may have sparked something in me that I didn't know existed! It made me excited to drink coffee. The coffee is strong, dark, aromatic, and delicious. They have soy milk, which is a plus and was unexpected. The atmosphere is spectacular. It's warm and cozy while being clean and somewhere you can sit by one of the large windows and curl up with a book, or get some work done. I absolutely loved Standing Stone. The menu is amazing. The salads are huge, fresh and delicious, for such a reasonable price. It makes you want to come back over and over! Standing Stone was something Starbucks could never be, anymore.
