I was here during midweek in the summer around 6:30 p.m. It was busy, but not swamped. The food was good, but the service was very slow. I would give it another try.

Pleasant surprise in Hershey! Had a great meal, great service, reasonable prices in a nice Italian restaurant. We will be back!

I just finished dinner at Mangia! Mangia! and the meal was so bad I am writing this review in the car as we drive home. The bottle of wine that we brought to the restaurant was the best part about the meal. My dinner special was swimming in "pesto sauce" which was definitely not pesto and was an unappetizing brownish-red color. The chicken was diced like dog food when it could have easily been served as a thin breast. I would give the restaurant one star but am bumping the review to two stars for the great service we experienced. I will not be eating here again.

This place is GREAT!! My wife had the best chicken parm ever. We were there right before close but were not rushed. Great food and great people.

Been in a few more times including dinner for 6 and a pizza for two. Both meals were great. The Oysters on half shell with Port Sorbet was a treat and the Pizza Alfredo is something I will be back for.

Had a great lunch here today! Cute atmosphere and friendly, attentive server. I had the Rigatoni Orlando and it was wonderful - other 2 diners enjoyed their shrimp fett and canneloni also. Would def recommend a visit.

We just spent the day at Hershey Park and chose italian for our dinner. I looked up the reviews and this place did not disappoint. Service was warm and friendly. We were immediately greeted abs sat down to a basket of fresh made rolls. The menu is very reasonable price wise. Loads of choices. I was dining with my hubby ( who I swear was italian in another life) and my chatty 1 yr old baby. We all had such a wonderful meal. They have a creative kids menu too. I had an italian style cheesesteak sandwich on home baked bread. Brimming with cheese, peppers onions and tomatoes. My one yr old saw me eating it and finished off the other half !. She had the chicken tenders. My husband ordered the rigatoni with meat sauce. We saw the dessert tray and could not refuse. It was tough to pick from so many options. I ordered the choco Bomba which is vanilla and choco gelato covered in bittersweet choco. In one word amazing. My husband had the limoncello sorbet which was refreshing. I wish we lived near this place because we would become regulars.

Wasn't very impressed with their alfredo fettuccine or their chicken parmigian pasta but the calamari was wonderful and crispy! Their servings were also very generous. I wasn't a huge fan but A for effort and the yummy apps.

I came in for lunch. I really like the food. They were delicious. This is a very cozy, quiet place. The reason I give a four star is because the potion. I think they charge a little more than normal. I had pasta with seafood, it was 17dollars and the appetizer card dip was 12dollars. It was a little too much compare the portion they offered. I still recommend this place.

Took over 40 mins to get our food, took them twenty mins to tell us the appetizer we ordered they didn't have anymore. Our waiter was nice and funny. But, I asked the host/manager? When our food would be out--since people that where sat after us got their food first--he was ignorant about it. I worked in the food business and his attitude made the experience unpleasant.

Excellent. The specials are special and you can tell the people are good people. Don't forget to bring your own wine.

Ate here for the first time last night. My wife and I were blown away by the quality of the good at the price. Most local italian places in the area offset their low quality by offering huge portions. Here the portions are adequately sized and the quality is great! We had great service and will definitely be going back!

This as good as it gets for Italian BYOP so we brought a bottle we bought from a local winery in CA. We had the mussels with marinara for an appetizer. I had the Linguini alla Vongole and my wife the Lasagna Bolognese The bread they brought was hot and I believe homemade What a great find in a remote type setting. It seemed to be a locals place because everybody seemed to know each other.

My wife & I drove by this place many times before we finally stopped in. A lot of cars in the lot is normally a good indication. We thoroughly enjoyed it each time that we've been there. The service was friendly, and the food was great.

Greetings! My friend and I had talked about dining at Mangia Mangia for some time now. We were not disappointed. Had a very brief wait for a Sat Eve (but we were dining earlier than most). The oysters Rockefeller were absolutely wonderful. Just the right blend of seasonings and their presentation was lovely. My dining partner (who was nursing a cold) went with their lobster bisque and the wedge salad as his entree. Both were presented nicely - but the bisque was more of a chowder consistency - of which our server did advise prior to ordering. My veal saltimbocca was so good. The glaze was perfect and the veal was so tender that it was easily cut without additional cutlery....the serving was more than enough - had the rest for dinner the following night! IF you are looking for a 'cozy' atmosphere....privacy, subdued lighting then you will not find it at Mangia Mangia. The dining room is very much 'public' so just keep that in mind. I would recommend however that they have perhaps music playing in the background. It would give the place a nice touch!

Drove by this place a million times and finally stopped. Dinning room is small, but nice. They do not serve beer or wine, but you can bring your own. The food and service were quite good. Have been back once since for take out and the food was as good as our first visit. Will stop again.

What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I, plus three other couples drove in from Philly to see "Jersey Boys" and we went here afterward, based solely on the reviews we read on this site. We were NOT disappointed. The service was excellent, the people (workers and patrons) were friendly, the atmosphere was quaint and the quality of the food will match up with most Italian restaurants in Philly. Food portions were generous. We had appetizers, entree, deserts and soft drinks for $37.00 per person and that included the tip!! I will definitely give a recommendation to anyone who asks and I would definitely return the next time we're in the area.

Went a second time...food was bad, just did not taste good. Sadly, probably will not return. Lasagna was hard as a rock and didn't even look like lasagna. Also tried a pasta dish and literally you could see outline of the sliced (not fresh) mozzarella melted in top. Disappointing.

I've driven by this place a few times and despite it's location, the parking lot is always full. We stopped for dinner on a Sunday evening. There were people waiting in the lobby but we were a smaller group and we were seated right away. The decor is amazing (here's where I have to insert a disclaimer: I helped paint the place so I'm a bit partial). The windows are framed with rustic wood beams and the walls are done in a faux venetian plaster which perfectly accents all the accessories the owners have used to decorate the place. The food was pretty good. I ordered a cheese ravioli in a pesto sauce (I forget the Italian name) and I'd give it a 4 out of 5. The portions are a bit small for the price. Also, this place is BYOB. I wish we would have remembered that because a glass of wine would have been a perfect compliment to the atmosphere and my food! I'm giving Mangia Mangia a 5 out of 5 for the atmosphere, the service and the food (after all, I've only tried one dish... so far!)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
