Meh. The buffalo wings were good but the skimpy side of Bleu cheese and old celery a real turnoff. My turkey and Brie sandwich was lame deli meat and sliced cheese waiting to melt. Another meal was sliders which came out looking like I made them at home. You just tend to expect better when you go out. The other full size burger was the same and a Greek salad was standard good and fresh. The fries are good but I'm not sure if fresh fried or frozen. Either way sufficient. Another time I'd pass on this place and try somewhere else. Amanda our server was great!!!

CREDIT CARD FRAUD!!! I went out to eat last Friday night and experienced terrible service from our waitress, Jennifer. I left a dollar tip to her on my $45.63 bill, writing the total as 46.63. The next day, I check my account balance and $52.63 has been deducted from my bank account by Fire Alley. I call Fire Alley and speak to the owner, and he tells me that my waitress was new and getting acclimated to her new job. TERRIBLE EXCUSE. Since when do servers ignore the TOTAL amount authorized by the customer and add the tip in their head??? After discussion, the manager agrees to send me a copy of my signed bill, to which I was astonished to see that our waitress changed my 1 dollar tip to a 7 by drawing a line across the top of my 1. Bottom line, DO NOT USE A CREDIT CARD!! CASH ONLY!!!! And don't let Jennifer serve you!

Awesome Food and had great service. Waitress were friendly and courteous. The Jalapeño Poppers and Wings were great. Great proportions. Clean restaurant.

Not a good choice at all. We were seated quickly, and our server took our drink order right away. Then she disappeared for about 5 mins. She took our order and didn't mention any issues. After 30 mins of waiting, I flagged her over to ask what was taking so long, and she said there were 2 really large groups that came in and the kitchen was backed up; those groups were not there when we arrived. I asked why people at the bar received their orders even though they came in after us, and she said the bar always gets first priority. It took 35 mins to get 2 salads and wings (which were the special for the evening!). She apologized by letting us know she doesn't control the kitchen! Overall, the food was "ok".

My food was absolutely terrible. I ordered the fire house pasta and it was the blandest thing I've ever tasted. The shrimp was very small and from a freezer bag. The chicken tasted like it was microwaved over again. The server was so nice and I feel terrible for him having to work in such a bad restaurant.

I had a bad experience with this place 2 years ago.. I thought I would give it another try tonight.. only to find out that things have not changed. 2 years ago, we waited 2 hours to get served.. tonight we waited over 45 minutes but 3 things for our order were missing.. 2 of which were supposed to be appetizers! I won't return

Had a reservation 2weeks in advance and name was not on the list, but still found a table. Rather noisy . Slow service seems our waitress only had our table on the half of the building and the rest of her tables were on the other side. Saw 2 tables cleaned but never wiped down and our table was dirty upon arrival. 25 minutes to get appetizer almost 50 minutes for dinner and place was not packed. What a shame, decent food but maybe the poorest management in the business. ended up leaving with dinner in a box because food never arrived until I asked for the manager. At minimum 4 tables got served before us that arrived at least 20 minutes after us. Terrible dinner experience for a Valentine's Dinner.

First time here, really wanted to try it. Definitely a cute looking place, bigger than expected. Unfortunately it took forever for our food to come and no one updated us on what was going on. FINALLY -- it arrived. And it's mediocre. We had the chipotle chicken wrap (wrap was decent minus the whole chipotles in it) and blackened salmon (also decent) Probably won't be back though.

Food sux!! We had the Bacon wrapped shrimp and garlic wings. Bacon on shrimp burnt and wings were terrible! Wait staff not much better than food.

I enjoyed the interior decorating, large selection of food items, and full bar options. I only knocked a star or two off because the mojito tasted like it had no alcohol in it and all the appetizers are seafood related. Good spot for dinner and a movie though since Cocoa Cineplex is right next door.

On out menu tonight.... Escargot stuffed mushrooms Tuna tower Lobster bisque Firehouse pasta And garlic filet. Escargot is a must!! Delicious! Not overly full of sodium like most escargot dishes. Tuna tower was great. Little bit too peppery have it almost a beef jerky taste. STILL very good though. Lobster bisque was just that. Very good. I would not recommend then Firehouse pasta was not impressed at all barely touched it. Finally the Garlic filet. Very tender and juicy not very garlic tasting still a wonderful steak dish. Our waiter Zachary was quite a treat super pleasant and completely on top of things. We plan in coming back here very soon! Since we are only 40 min away!

Awful experience. Went there last night and had a reservation for 20. It took 2 hours and we didnt linger. In fact some in our party were rushed because we had other plans and service was so poor.. Our meals came out a few at a time over the course of a half hour. Even after an hour and a half some in our party still had not been served. We had a single server who hid in the kitchen most of the time. She never offered to explain what was the problem and only refilled drinks once and that was after everyone was finally served. Food was decent but lack of service just ruined it.

Skip this place entirely unless you like gargantuan portions of mediocre "food". We ordered the "Fire Bread" as an appetizer for the table, nothing special there. Bread was average at best and came with a quart of olive oil. Each of our entrees were so huge that it actually made us feel ill just looking at it. They need to substantially reduce their portions, go fresh and add some real flavor to their dishes. Opt for Chocolate Avenue Grill, Devon or even Houlihan's if visiting Hershey. They won't disappoint.

What happened to this place? It's been years since Ive been but it was awesome the last time... went this past Sat. night before Hershey Pumpkin Glow. Terrible. They didnt have enough wait staff scheduled. Food was mediocre... really disappointing.

The crab cake was really really good. However, 20 dollars for two big crab cake is a little bit pricey. The fried calamari was very tasty as well.

Awful experience! Ate here on New Years Eve, ordered meals for my children on their "so called" kids menu. Portions were so big...not kid appropriate at all! And the price for each kids meal was $8.50!! I have never gone to a restaurant and paid that much for a kids meal. The kids menu is actually meals off the adults menu but put on cute coloring sheet with no prices listed!!!! Will never eat there again!!! Rip off, rip off, rip off! Discussed my frustration with a manager and she treated me like shit!! Like I was the stupid one for not knowing that adult meals were kids meals!

  • Justin S.

Looks nice inside cool setup. Unfortunately.... Our waitress was unpleasant and very unsocialable. When I received my food the chicken was very dry and my friends vegetables were cold. The beer prices were high for a 6 to 8 oz glass. I also had some random dude stand beside me and seemed to be staring at me. He must've been a worker I saw him messing with some of the equipment.

Went here for lunch on a Friday at noon. Restaurant was pretty deserted. 1 host/waitress was serving the whole restaurant. Took 15 to 20 min to get water. My water glass was filthy, I had to request a new one. Kids food came 1st after about 20 minutes. They had adult size portions with no option of fruit or vegetable! My son's pasta was enough to feed our party of 7 and was way over cooked. I believe my girlfriends and I had the firestarter sandwich with chicken. We asked for pretzel roll. The "Carmelized" onions were about halfway Carmelized and I actually pulled out onion skin! My chicken had a lot of strings, was tough to chew. Our pretzel rolls were a little stale tasting. My friends also reported a "gross" sandwich. We didn't send any back because it took so long to get, we jus dissected our sandwiches and ate the fries. My other friend had the Bello salad and said it was good. My friends who had the mango mojito reported that it just tasted like sprite with a little rum and mint. I will not be returning to this restaurant and do not recommend it!

Good menu, good food, good service. We visited on a Friday evening. It was busy but not so much that it was crowded. We were seated immediately. My wife had horseradish crusted sea bass which she said was very good. I had the special for the day, the beer battered haddock with fries and macaroni and cheese with stewed tomatoes which was also very good. (i'm just a big kid when it comes to comfort food.) The acoustics in the room are very "lively" and combined with the noise level on a busy evening, made quiet conversation difficult.

Comfortable decor , average over salted and over processed food . Stick with burgers or ribs here . Pleasant and attentive server . Probably would not return

Great bar, atmosphere and super service. Food is generally excellent, but tonight the only slight disappointment was the French Onion Soup. Normally it's very good, but tonight it was bland. Our other dishes, though, we're excellent.

Came here with my wife and two kids. the server was nice, it was a bit laud, but i guess not worst than red robin. the food was nothing special, glorified apple bees or fridays, overpriced and same old same old. we haven't been back. there was nothing bad to keep us away but there is nothing calling us to return.

Since we live close my wife and I have been here many times. Generally we sit at the bar and the service has always been good. Occasionally we have been in the "dinning room" and service there has varied from good to "where is the waitress now". The food has always been consistently good and the environment has been comfortable and clean. I like the Fire Alley Pasta and the tuna tower but have never really had a bad experience with the food. This is not a foodies next nirvana by any means so if you are out searching for the next culinary masterpiece its not here. If you want to enjoy your surroundings with assurances the food will be well prepared and you wont be maxing out your credit card to pay then you should like Fire Alley. Try the pasta night on Mondays and they do have a few tables to eat outside if you wish.

Great happy hour special on draft beers. Reasonable prices on appetizers and its proximity to the movie theater makes it a nice place to get a pre or post movie snack and drink. Bar and dining area available depending on whether you're there for dinner or a quick drink. Atmosphere is welcoming to all age ranges. Friendly bar staff did not let us have empty glasses!

  • Joshua W.

From the start: entered the place and waited 5 min to be told to find our own place to sit. Ordered the special pulled pork sandwich that had zero flavor or moisture. The dipping sauce was the drippings from the bottom of the pan. No flavor at all and looked like you'd find a swamp monster inside it. This is a never again please kind of experience. If you want quality go to the sister location "Fire House" in downtown Harrisburg.

The Chicken Tender appetizer was inedible, tougher than shoe leather, there was pink lipstick on my beer glass, and the Seafood Nachos were doused with Old Bay. And, on top if that, the staff was not interested in hearing about it. Complete waste of $35 and my time. Never again.

A typical selection of food you'd find at an american-styled bar. burgers, sandwiches, pastas, variety of appetizers. The venue is very large, and the decorations is.. unique. its got a little bit of everything from flags of pro sports teams to graffiti writing on the wall + oldies music. the food was well-priced (lunch specials are $5). and the quality is better than the typical chain eat-in restaurant. Other reviews indicate that the services is hit or miss and it can get crowded on weekends. But our server was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful. But considering it was mostly empty when we were there, I dont know if that reflects their normal service. ps. the firehouse bread appetizer (or something like that) was very good. grilled ham and cheese was good. burger seemed well done, though my friend asked for medium.

Came here for a birthday dinner. Nice atmosphere. I was happy to see they had pricing on their drink menu. I know that sounds strange; however it was nice to see how much they are charging you. I got the chicken and bello salad. OMG sooooo good. I will come back here for that salad, no lie. My hubby got meatloaf. His dish looked a bit underwhelming. I think they could have added more gravy and garnish. He said it was good and the bite I had was tasty. The prices were a little expensive. All in all a good experience!

Nice off the beaten path in Hershey on Cocoa Ave. in a little shopping center. I had a Tuna Backdraft andm wife had Cheeseburger Sliders. The sandwhiches both come with Fries an they were hot and fresh. Our waitperson was great and very attentive and courteous. Now Fire Alley does have an ambience of a sports bar but not overloaded with TVs. They do have a seperated dining area or the barside area to eat in. Overall this place is a good find if you don't want the usual Hershey Touristy place to eat. It is great for families and the slider portion would accomodate the under 6 yr olds. They are 2 oz if you have acouple of young ones they could share this platter. Prices are reasonable and competative.

Decor: Great, esp for Hershey. The bar is quite large with lots of seating, but gets busy on Fri and Sat! Had live jazz during the summer but haven't seen that recently. Service: Outstanding. Very attentive. The bar staff is friendly and even remembers things like how my friend never gets sour cream on her soup. Food: Delish but can be pricey. I've only gotten the entrees a couple of times because they're a little expensive for me ($15-20). But the black bean soup is TO DIE FOR and very filling! A $6 bowl is a meal for me. The Fire Bread on the appetizer menu is also tastey - just spicey cheesy garlic bread. I'm also a fan of any restaurant that serves sweet potato fries :) Drinks: Nice selection. They currently have Mad Elf which is great. Scotches reasonably priced. Good happy hour specials on house wines and draft beers.

Fire Alley is ok. The server I had during my last visit was very slow and not friendly. The bar area is decent, although I felt like I was walking into a weekly reunion of local residents. The menu has many options from a variety of appetizers, salads, pasta dishes and meat entrees. I wouldn't race back here.

Fire Alley is the standard neighborhood eatery that you might find any suburbia, but classier. The food is okay, standard American fare that you'd find anywhere, sandwiches, pastas, and the like. However, it's definitely cheaper and higher quality than what you'd find at...say...your local Friday's. What really takes the cake for me is the environment. The decor is very stylish, with a cozy atmosphere that maintains a modern flair. The restaurant is separated into a bar and general seating, both of which I've had pleasant experiences with. It's a fun place to hang out, order a beer or two and either chat into the night (or 10 PM, since it's Hershey) or watch the game on the TV. The only criticism I have is the service. While most of the time it's decent, I've been there enough to know that sometimes you will get a BAD server. I guess since it's Hershey some people may be stuck working there, and they definitely let you know how much they care (or don't) about the job through their attitude. Would get a 3 in any other town but this one.

I love the menu at fire alley and they also have a great drink selection. So I was excited to go after not being here for awhile. I agree with Kristine F's review that the service can be hit or miss and this night was a miss for us. We made a reservation and they were good with the timing of having a table ready at our arrival. However, the hostess had to personally clean the table so we did have to wait in the lobby while she did that. OH well. I ordered one of my favorites, the tuna backdraft medium rare, and my friend ordered one of my other favorites, the trout. Our server was MIA most of the evening and not over the top friendly. When my tuna came out it was well done. So I sent it back. It came back out rare..but COLD like out of a freezer cold. It was awful both times. So I told the server I was disappointed and she asked if I wanted her to talk to the manager and I said yes. She did and came back and told me that the cooks have been having a rough night and the manager would yell at them. Okay... So we got the bill. My sandwich was on it. I didn't think I should be charged if I didn't eat the thing because it was bad both times. So I asked to talk to the manager. She then seemed annoyed and I was going out of my way to be nice (probably should have not worried about being nice and just told her like it was). The manager came over and comped my sandwich AND my drink and said he was sorry. He didn't seem too concerned but I guess I appreciate the effort to not make me pay for my bad meal. I'll return to try it again for its a good sandwich, but if they continue to lack in consistency based on the day or the staff..I might have to let them go. There are too many restaurants out there to have one be hit or miss.

This was a great upscale place where me, my brother and our wives went to eat one day. It is in the Cocoaplex center just off of 743 and 322 in Hershey. We had the Phonecian baked trout, turned out to be pretty decent, and expensive piece of fish I'll grant you that. we also had a cubanito sub the sub was basically pork, cheese, pickles and sauce on a roll, served with french fries. We also got stuffed crab rolls and a dozen wings with sauce. The place was packed and literally every table was full. The interior was pretty nice and modern, they had a few tv's overtop of the bar that had some games on. There was a reservation for about 20 people when we first got there so it did take a very long time to get seated and get our meal, but it was worth it. Thte only thing I really would change was the speed of service, as our appetizers came out right as our meal did. That kind of ruined the pace of things, and I ended up having to take a box home, not bad though.

This is a large, open, cheerful and clean restaurant. The bar is a great place to hang out with friends! It's also a great place for a group to gather and share a meal. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. The quality of the food is on par with most chain restaurants - not bad. I'll definitely be back!

I've eaten at Fire Alley three times now; two experiences being good and tonight's ranking at "just okay." Located right next to the Cocoaplex in Hershey, it's an upgrade from Froggie's which previously resided there. The decor is nice and modern, but kind of marred by the occasional graffiti they have on some of the brick walls. I get what they were going for, but I think it failed. But I digress to more important matters...the food! Beer selection is kind of weak, a few decent drafts (Stella, Blue Moon and Guinness) but mostly Coors, Budweiser and the like. It'd be nice to see more premium domestics or imports on tap or even available in bottles. Haven't sat at the bar, but they have booth seats in some spots instead of stools, which I think is pretty cool. The Udon Chicken Noodle soup is awesome, just like traditional chicken noodle soup but with udon noodles instead of the traditional kind. Comes with lime, jalepenos and cilantro to sprinkle on top. Super tasty, fresh and made with homemade stock. Duck cakes are decent, a little on the greasy side. They come with a ginger dipping sauce which was tasty. The steak and calamari salad is great; the batter on the calamari is light and not overwhelming. The prime rib is delicious on a good night, but on a bad night the beef tastes old and metallic. Horseradish dipping sauce is a nice touch. My two major qualms are with the food I ordered tonight. I tried the Horseradish Crusted Chilean Sea Bass. I expected it to have a light, crispy topping and nothing more. However it arrived looking like a piece of fried fish dipped in batter. It was also absolutely drowned in the red pepper coulis that accompanied it. There was 1/4 inch of "breading" all over the fish which really did nothing for the light, sweet flavor of sea bass. Only ate about 1/3 of it before throwing in the towel because it just wasn't good. The scallion mashed potatoes that came with it were too strong. I also ordered french onion soup, which was just okay. Nothing special, tasted like every other french onion soup that's made from an overly salted pre-made base. It comes with a pair of scissors stuck into the melted cheese on top of the crock so you can "cut the cheese" while you're eating it but that just weirded me out. A pair of neon kids scissor's stuck in my food? No thanks, not aesthetically pleasing and just kind of gross. The few negatives aside, a nice change of pace from the other dining choices in the area, I definitely recommend it.

  • Kristine F.

Decent place to go, food and service can be hit or miss I guess it depends on who is working that night. They do make a mean crock of french onion soup! It's close to work so I've gone here dozens of times for after work drinks it's loud and relaxed and not a bad choice if you are in the area and want french onion soup and a cocktail!

Fun Atmosphere and very good food. I've eaten at this restaraunt half-a-dozen times now. The menu has nice variety and so far I haven't had anything there that wasn't good, even great.

They serve a good drink here. Place seems to be a favorite lounge for the locals. On the restaurant side--the decor is kind of cheesy. But the staff is very good and the food is surprisingly good.
