If my Thanksgiving weekend Stallions experience was a movie, it would be summarized in TV Guide like this: "Big-city gay meet small-city gay, hilarity ensues." After paying 50 cents per item at the coat check, Ben, Joshua and I approached the bar at Stallions in our tight jeans and tighter T-shirts like the boy-band tour bus had just broken down on 3rd Street and we needed a pay phone. Within literally 45 seconds we had drinks bought for us, a receiving line of introductions, after-hours parties being planned, and endless rounds of answering "What are you guys DOING here?" This may be as close to celebrity as I ever get. With free parking, the downstairs video/pool bar, spacious floor upstairs with cheesy top-40 dance (my favorite), and very friendly crowd, Stallions could be an annual tradition for us. Can't wait until smoking is banned in bars in PA -- yuck! Be prepared to smell.

Being one of the areas top night spots for the LGBT community you would think they would cater to the masses, but the don't. Music is the biggest part of the clubbing experience and the only play house music the whole night. My friends and I always try to put in a request or two to the DJ to try to get a little variety thrown in but it usually falls on deaf ears. I've given this place several chances to redeem itself and it keeps failing to do that. I won't be back another time. Thanks stallions for ruining yet another Saturday night!!!

I was here back in November of 2012. There was a private party taking place on the 3rd street entrance so we weren't able to enjoy the club completely. Being limited on what Harrisburg has to offer the 'LGBT' community, we found the rear entrance to the club which lead us to the basement. Good thing was, there was no cover... bad news - everyone knows about the basement 'club'. Like sardines in a can you're cramped in what is probably just a sit down bar area. They try to accommodate those who like to dance with a make shift 'stage'; which s nothing more than three 8'wide X 3'deep platforms at the end of the bar and a pathetic sound system that wouldn't work for most newer cars on the road today. The music choices were awful (that night). Nothing current and whoever was in charge of the music kept putting on 'slow - hips holding' music'... really? We're gay - not dead. The drinks were light and the expensive and their only saving grace was the nearly nude bar-tending staff; but be careful it's hit or miss on the 'hottie scale'. Harrisburg is a little behind the times - they have no restrictions on smoking in bars which leads to suffocation and ruined jeans. Be careful trying to navigate the crowd trying to escape, as people are cruising you they may just burn you with their cigarettes.

Me and my friends would come here all the time....if it weren't for the disgusting smell of this place. Cigarette smoke will ruin your clothes...stay in your hair for at least two days after repeat washings...and will make the cutesy guy you met smell like a shirat box. News flash Harrisburg! Few cities allow indoor smoking nowadays. NYC banned it 15 friggin years ago now. Get with the times you disgusting smelly idiots!! Get rid of the smoking and the quality and quantity of your customers will improve drastically.

Stallions is by far the best place in town to go whether you're gay or straight. The friendly crowd and jovial, energetic bartenders are reason in itself. The crowd keeps growing in numbers and I can't wait to see this remodel come together on the upstairs dance floor I keep hearing about. Delicious concoctions are a staple of stallions. Fridays are bumpin'. Place is packed. But don't worry, the smoke eaters eliminate the plumes:p Saturday the dance floor is open to rock out and all other days of the week have fun-filled, prize-winning activities you've got to check out. It's a blast.

All gay jokes aside... you have to enter Stallions from the rear (not from 3rd St.)

The building that Stallions is in.. well its quite broken down. The club itself is pretty dingy really, the staff isn't really that friendly and over all its a back alley club (literally). Friendlier crowd then anything on Second Street is the best thing it has going for it really.

We went to Stallions after drag bingo across the river and had an awesome experience. Everyone was super nice, from the bartender to all the people at the bar. We also made it for 2 buck happy hour and after that they were running a pearl vodka special for 3 bucks. Even their not on special drinks were affordable. We've been to Stallions many times and can't wait to go back again (probably next weekend). This place has been around forever and is really the only legit lgbt bar around Harrisburg. You never feel out of place, gay or straight and we love that!!!

The better looking bartender sucks at making drinks... He had to google how to make a margarita and it tasted like sh*t. Always fun watching Britney dance tho
