Naples pizza is great. The sauce is awesome. I love their lunch special (2 slices and a soda for under $5) but everytime I go in there they are rude to me. Today was the final straw. At work we decided to order a large pizza and have them deliver it to us. After ordering we decided to pay with a credit card. When we called back to pay they told us to just walk down and get it our selves. So after the allotted time I walked down to Naples and walked in with a smile on my face. "Is our pizza ready?" I asked. The guy behind the counter grunted at me and turned his back to me! About a minute later the other worker came over and rang us up for the pizza (even though we had called ahead with our card) and there was no thank you or anything when I left. Next time I'll walk to YP for a pizza or Jimmy Johns for a sub, where at least they are happy to have you there! After reading the other reviews I see that mine is not the only experience like this. How can a business stay open when the owner and employees are so rude? Eventually the rudeness will outweigh the tastiness...i know it has with me

No doubt this is the best Pizza Place in Pennsylvania. I am a true New Yorker and moved here about 3 years ago, and this is the closest thing that compares. It's excellent pizza, subs, and try a sausage roll. Also, if you ask nicely you might get an upside down pizza

We are staying at a local hotel and wanted to pick something up to eat in the room after a long day of driving. We got spaghetti and meatballs for our girls. Even with our special "on the side" orders everything was perfect. Each dish came with a side salad and garlic bread. My husband had the crispy chicken salad and said that it was better then his favorite one at home. I had ziti and my only negative would be that the sauce could be a little spicier. So much food for a great value! Highly recommended.

You'd be better off in a trash bin behind a mediocre restaurant. I was at the Best Western Premiere and was given their menu at the front desk. I ordered an hour before closing and they delivered all the garbage they hadn't sold that day, or maybe the day before. The meatballs were burned and hard as a rock, the salad was wilted ... of course they forgot the dressing and the pasta was almost raw. The delivery guy was rude as hell and balked at a $5 tip on a $16 order. I called and complained ... the owner asked, "You want new order?" No way, I threw his crap away and went to the vending machine.

Ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a grilled chicken salad for delivery. The guy I spoke to sounded inconvenienced to take my order, but I guess that's expected. The pizza was very tough and greasy (see picture), and just didn't seem fresh. Probably won't go back.

If you want a nice authentic italian pizza or just a good pizza in general - order from somewhere else. I recently moved to the area and was hungry while unpacking and ordered a grilled chicken sub. The bread was great - the rest was so so.... Ordered a second time - a cheese pizza. Mediocre at best. It could have cooked a few minutes more. I blamed it on a busy night. Third time I ordered a cheese pizza and a stromboli. The dough was still raw in both of them. I had to stick them in the oven to finish cooking them. When i called Naples, they said they would give me a discount next time - never offered to replace the food. Fourth time I ordered a grilled chicken sub because it was a safe choice but I was brave and ordered mozzarella cheese fries. Big mistake. They tasted like soggy raw potatoes with melted cheese. When I called Naples, they said the fries are soggy because they microwave them to melt the cheese - who does that? Any pizzeria I have ever been to has baked cheese onto the fries. Again, they offered a discount next time. There will be no next time. I was dumb enough to order as many times as I did.

I was staying at the Wyndham Garden and looked up a delivery place on Yelp and found this restaurant. The pizza was under cooked and the quality of the toppings was mediocre. I ordered half cheese and half mushrooms and onions. The mushrooms were of the canned variety. I seriously think Dominos is better only because with them you know what to expect.

second time I ordered delivery from here, the food was delivered quickly and I ordered Chicken Cheesesteak Stromboli and spaghetti w/ meatballs the food is good and reasonably priced. I ordered Ham and pineapple pizza and jamaican jerk wings the first time they were both delicious and I will most likely order from them again.

Sigh. After a long day at Hershey Park, all we wanted was takeout. We decided to go for sandwiches and, after reading the reviews on here about Naples Pizza, I knew I'd found our place. I called around 8:30 to order delivery. My order (2 sandwiches + a pickle) was taken and we were told 30 minutes. Ok, fine. Nine rolls around... 9:20... So I quickly call and am told the delivery guy left 15 minutes previously and had 3 deliveries, but he wasn't sure of the order of the deliveries. But he should be there soon. 9:40. Still no food. I am starving and don't want to eat this late. So I call again. Ringing and ringing and ringing. No answer, no machine. ???? FINALLY, 5 minutes later, our food arrives. I ask the delivery man why no one answered and he told me they closed at 9. Um, I called after 9, spoke to someone and it sounded PACKED. He couldn't have told me over the phone that they were closed/closing?? Anyhoodle. We plop ourselves down and open our food to be devoured. My pickle was a huge disappointment. I took 2 bites and threw it out - a waste of money. It was NOT a dill pickle. The sandwiches (we both got smalls - Roast Beef w/Provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion and mustard for me; Chicken Parm for my husband) were mediocre. I could not taste the mustard - only knew it was there from the yellow on the bun - and they threw oregano on the sandwich. I've had better, I've had worse. The Chicken Parm was ok, but nothing amazing. Maybe their pizza is better, but sadly, their sandwiches and service leave MUCH to be desired. :(

I love pizza, and as an out-of-towner, I'm always looking for the local favorites. of which these seems to be one. I thought the service was gruff (but not rude) and the pizza to be too greasy for taking home any leftovers (I'm attributing this to my topping choice) - BUT, I also thought is was hot, not too cheesy, and made of good ingredients. I ate in and enjoyed every bite. I know work will take me back to Harrisburg, and I've added Naple's information on to my contact list.

Honestly, these guys are great. Nine Brooklyners happened to be in the area this weekend. We happened on Naples Pizza by chance. The shop itself is nothing fantastic. But so are half the best pizza joints in NYC. The staff were very kind. Their dough is excellent. Their sauce is quite good. Their prices are incredibly cheap for the volume and quality. Are they among the best of NYC? No. But they get a 4/5 on their food alone. We don't care about ambiance. They're a great find considering the other options are the usual chains

Really mediocre pizza. Was very unimpressed and will definitely be trying other pizza places in the area before returning. Plain pizza had large crust, with soupy-cheese. Sauce was watery. On the upside, Super Cheap. Medium Plain pizza for around 8$ with $1 dollar for each additional topping.

My husband who is super hard to please, LOVES the Philly Cheese steak boli. LOVES it. I've tried his and it is delicious. Good meat, cheese just really tasty. ( They serve it w/ marinara sauce which doesn't really go, but we can't think of much else) I had a regular Stromboli and didn't care for it, I just didn't like the American cheese all gooey-ooey with the Italian meats, and it really ruined what I was hoping to be a simple Italian flavored Stromboli. (even though I asked for it without but anyway) Pizza is good, not amazing, but good. We go back for his cheese steak boli specifically. Employees....not friendly....not exactly rude. Service SLOW.

4 bucks and change for 2 slices and a soda at lunch time... I'm sold! And the pizza is good! I've had the regular slices and Sicilian. Both were pretty bangin! What else can I really say about pizza? :)

Last night my boyfriend and I were too tired to go anywhere for food, and we were looking for a pizza joint that delivers (other than pizza hut or something along those lines.) We came across this place... I wouldn't say the pizza is amazing or anything, but it was really good. The pizza wasn't greasy at all (as Lisa claims) which is nice...I hate eating leftover pizza the next day and seeing hard pools of cold grease on it...yuck. The crust is a bit on the doughy side...I usually prefer my pizza to be a little bit crispier. When I took a bite, the cheese didn't all fall off, it was very nicely attached.:) A large cheese pizza is only 11.00--you can't beat that! It took about 30 minutes to reach our door... We'll definitely order from here again though.

Very happy with Naples Pizza. The crust is very nice. Not too thick, not too thin. Their pizza is not greasy. This is why we keep coming here. I believe their pizza is way more healthy than someplace like Pizza Hut's unless you get the thin & crispy. Most pizza places are too greasy, too cheesy, too fatty. But Naples is just really really nice pizza. They've got quite a few tables, and a tv that's always set to the Baseball channel. haha The guys that work there seem pretty cool. We've gotten deliveries too - really very quick deliveries. Our favorite pizza place here! EDIT: 8/1/08 If you like fish sandwiches - try theirs. Delicious!!

Just an update: Had Naples last night for dinner and the Veggie pizza was not so great. Naples, why have you forsaken me?!!!

Great pizza and subs here, nothing more than the standard pizza shop in the inside but the quality of food is great. I have had to wait a little longer than expected a few times but quite honestly the food was worth it.

When it comes to pizza you can not beat Naples. One of the best pizzeria pizza places I have ever tasted, everything is made with quality ingredients and the sauce has a fresh tomato taste that beats anything else in the area (in Central Pa in my opinion). I love the veggie stromboli as well packed with peppers, mushrooms and onions, not too much cheese and a soft dough. The first one opened up in Steelton and this one on UD is owned by one of the Sons and is just as good as the original.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
