I've been working in Harrisburg for a little over a year now and wish I would've heard about this place sooner. A friend of mine treated me to lunch here. I ordered the cheesesteak sub with grilled mushrooms. It was very flavorful and wasn't soggy from all the grease cheesesteaks can usually have. The bread tasted like it was fresh and made that day and not one of those store bought buns. I also took dinner home, I ordered a turkey deluxe salad with house dressing(an oil based dressing with herbs and spices) turkey and cheese rolled up on top of mixed greens, crisp veggies and croutons.

Great place for take out. I typically get the chef salad no dressing and hubby enjoys the large stromboli. We dined in once and it's a bit confusing in terms of set up. Is it a walk up counter? Do you sit down and order? Still unsure. But the food is fantastic. We have also ordered just pizza dough for only 2 dollars and had our own pizza night with the kids at home.

Well I went once. Walk in the door and it is a guessing game. The look appears to be a walk up to the counter and order. But there are two servers standing off to the side. No one is saying anything. So I'm left to gamble. Do I seat myself? Or do I walk up to the counter? Are there menus at the table?... A server waives me on to sit anywhere. Once I'm seated another server takes my order and places two cups on the table. But doesn't say anything. So I walk up to the drink station and ask the pizza guys do I pour my own? He says yes and then hands me a lid and straw. I don't like a place that is uninviting. And from my experience this was uninviting. My advice to the restaurant; pick one table-side service or counter service. Don't do a little of both. I would have ordered at the counter paid and waited had it been the clear thing to do. I had Linguine Alfredo with chicken. Large portion for a dinner. Three thin chicken breasts. Onions galore amongst the sauce. Sauce was bland and the onion was seriously too much. Did not want a box to go with that. Garlic bread with red sauce was the most exciting item I had. Lots of people like this place.

Decent. This place is surprisingly busy. A slice of cheese pizza came to a little over $2 and its was thin crust, not chip thin but thin and it wasn't super greasy. It takes them a while to warm up the pizza - 6 mins to reheat one slice..... We went around 12:30 and there were only two pizza options to purchase by the slice, we'll assume the other options were baking. A co-worker ordered what appeared to be a deep dish meat lover's slice which he claimed was delicious. Others in line ordered subs and hoagies. Not fancy but a decent lunch option. Also it's right next to Rita's.

Since my original post my husband and I go here almost weekly. The manicotti is delicious and he loves the chicken Alfredo pasta! The servings are generous, too! It's hands down our favorite pizza place and we love their subs, also!

Fresh Bread - Fresh Bread - Fresh Bread !!! Missing at so many other restaurants today. Good food at good prices. Pasta dishes, Pizza, and Subs. Good service not rushed. Inside and outdoor table service. I'm a repeat customer. I'll return.

Ordered two pizzas, pepperoni and plain. Pizza was good and the prices were fair.

It's not Macaroni Grille, but I was slightly impressed... The bread is fantastic, and the subs were good. Nothing amazing about these slightly-nicer-than-average pizzeria, but their prices are reasonable and portions are big. The service is wonderful - and is probably what sets this pizzeria/pasta joint apart from others. Not somewhere I would go frequently, but I wouldn't be opposed to going either!

Best place in the Burg for quality pizza and strombolis. The pizza margherita with fresh basil and mozzarella is delish. Love the steak and cheese Stromboli too. Their tomato sauce is tasty too. The guys that run this place are also authentic--they are from Naples, Italy. The food is the real deal! Not a place meant for fine dining, but a great choice for your "go to" pizza place.

I have always been pleasantly surprised with Italian delight. The service has always been great for us. It's always friendly when you walk in, and I have never had an employee seem anything but pleasant and helpful at any time. I come here for lunch from time to time, and order takeout for dinner as well. The chicken caesar pizza they serve around lunchtime is divine! I have gotten that quite a few times and it is always delicious. Their cheesesteak is also great. Though I prefer the roll of Lio's(Packers) down the road, the cheesesteak itself seems to be much better at ID. I have gotten the cheesesteak Stromboli as well- talk about HUGE! I got a Large stromboli, and it fed us for a few days. Best steak stromboli I have gotten. Now for the pizza. With the exception of the caesar pizza, I have gotten plain cheese slices a few times before and they've been pretty good. If you get an entire pizza, it is MUCH better. I salivate the entire drive home because somehow instead of that typical pizza smell, the entire car smells like freshly baked bread. Their crust is great, and their pizza stands up to local competition well. Italian Delight become our go-to pizza place the last month or two. Their salads are huge and they aren't skimpy with the toppings. The chicken Caesar salad is ridiculously full of chicken. The salads are also served with their warm homemade rolls. I never use all of my dressing because I love to dip them in the Caesar- yum! (More on rolls at the end though.) Also, for some reason they have the best mozzarella sticks ever. The cheese is so soft and buttery, they are phenomenal. They've ruined other mozz sticks for me! I have only gotten one actual entree here, so I don't have too much insight into their entrees/pastas. I have ordered their veal marsala twice, both times it turned out great! I have gotten it at Giotti's up the road, and for much a smaller cost, Italian Delight's was better. Large portion, the veal was cooked well, and the sauce was flavorful and rich without overpowering the veal. Of course, growing up in Baltimore, Little Italy has given me a much better veal marsala than you're going to find in Central PA. However, for the general Linglestown area, I would get (and have already gotten) the veal marsala again. It satisfies the craving. I would be curious to see if their other entrees are also of decent caliber for a "pizza shop". My one gripe with Italian Delight is their subrolls. Their pizza crust is great, the rolls they make and give you with salads is to die for, so why don't they make their own rolls??? The subs would go from a 3 to a 5 if only they did that.

Excellent food and service. Their only problem is that they have Fox News on TV all the time and It is very dissapointing to have that crazy channel in the background while you eat. If the owners read this, PLEASE, CHANGE THE CHANNEL!

The best pizza in the Harrisburg area. They also have the best cheesesteaks outside of Philadelphia. Never had a bad meal from here. Their regular dinner menu is also very good. Pricing is decent for the quality you get.

This place is a pure diamond in the rough! By the looks of it, you wouldn't expect it to be the best Italian food in the capital region, but it surely is! Large servings is an understatement at this establishment. I have never been able to finish a meal here. Their pizza is absolutely amazing. Best around! They have a complete menu of traditional Italian dishes, many of which are specific to this restaurant. I would highly recommend their chicken piccata or chicken with roasted red peppers. Both cold and hot subs area available, and both are spectacular. Their bread is always fresh and the meats are great quality.

Pizza is consistent but just OK... a bit better than average for the Hbg area, but nothing like a decent pie from NYC/NJ. Subs OK as well but not nearly as good as legendary Leo's subs up the road. Service is always nice and friendly and they remember you.

We have tried the pasta and salads, and they are consistently excellent, but we always gravitate back to the pizza, which we believe is the best in central PA. Just had the Sicilian and it is just as good as their thin crust. Service is excellent. Nothing fancy but great food.

It is the only place I've found that actually tastes authentic. I normally get Penne Pasta with Arrabiata Sauce. It reminds me of a place I ate in Venice just off the Rialto Bridge. The portions are large if I get it with a side of sausage it's more than enough for 2 meals or to feed 1 adult and 2 kids.

Great food! We do take out a lot (pizza, subs) but their dinner menu is pretty good too.

Decent food at a decent price. I got the buffalo chicken pizza which was loaded with meat and cheese but lacked spice.
