The breakfast here is lacking. I ordered eggs, bacon, home fries, and hot cakes. The bacon was like bacon chips they we're crunchy like eating "bacon" bits. The eggs were cooked right fortunately as well as the home fries. The hot cakes were passable. But the bacon ruined everything. Although I didn't try them their muffins look delicious. If I came back I would steer away from a cooked meal and get a muffin.

Great breakfast and lunch. I always stop there for lunch when I'm in town and am always pleased with my fresh half of a sandwich and side salad, with delicious dressing. I usually grab a muffin to go and am always tempted by the homemade mac n cheese, or other special sides. (If only it was all organic!)

I should've read the most recent review. It would've swayed my choosing to stop. I should've trusted my gut when upon joining my friends, they said they had to clean off the table AND get their own drinks. I should've made the decision to leave when after sitting at the table for more than 5 minutes, no one came to greet me. I should've left when the woman came to ask if we needed menus...or if there was a fourth joining us...or what I wanted to drink, and after I replied "coffee and a water" - I was yelled to across the room, and as my cup was placed on the counter, I was told I could get it myself. Now, I don't mind this, and if I would've realized it was a self-serve type of "coffee-shop", I would've. However, the woman would've had to hand me a cup either way. Once I grabbed my coffee and was seated, the woman brought me over a water, forgetting the other guests...and then grabbed a rag and commented that we must've wiped the table off ourselves and that the crumbs must have been swept onto the floor for the "cleaning lady to clean up later". What?! Anyhow, according to the menu, they offered pancakes AND lattes, and neither were available. The espresso machine looked as though it hadn't been used in years. Perhaps I am mistaken, but being new to the area and stopping into a "gourmet bakery and bistro", I would've expected baked goods and specialty coffee drinks. This place looked like it was either recently taken over, or a grandmother's personal kitchen, as the use of the display cooler was strictly for the 4 cans of pop they offered (Pepsi or Diet Pepsi), refrigerated items needed for cooking the meals, a rack of 6-8 muffins?, and a couple of bottled waters. Now, this stop was on a whim nonetheless, but it was my effort to take my best friend out for a birthday breakfast. She ordered chocolate chip French toast, I - the omelet, and our boyfriends had bacon, eggs, and home fries. The French toast was flattened bread with a few chocolate chips strewn across...no syrup. The bacon (as previously mentioned in another review) was more like an over-cooked bacon "chip". My omelet was a mash of egg with undercooked veggies strew around inside. I only ate a couple bites, my guests barely touched their meals, although not for sake of attempting, because we were all starving and were soo looking forward to a nice breakfast. Now, adding insult to injury was when my boyfriend went to pay for our lack-luster "home cooked" meals, two cans of Pepsi, two coffees, and two GLASSES of water, the bill came out to be $38 dollars. Nothing that was served to our table was worth $10/person. I hate leaving a bad review, especially when the restaurant was seemingly run by one elderly lady and an older male counter-part, who could've easy passed as a customer himself. I was really hoping the food made up for the service, because I could overlook the lack of urgency and attentiveness should that effort be spent on preparing our meals...no such luck. I hope the best for what could be a money-making breakfast spot, but if you asked me for a recommendation, I'd tell you the iHop is about 2 miles down the road.

I am very happy to find this place in Greensburg. I stopped in for lunch and had a great green salad with real balsamic vinaigrette (not dressing in a pouch). I also picked up whole wheat pasta with turkey sausage - I like both whole wheat pasta and turkey sausage and it is rare to find those in a dining establishment. I also picked up a banana walnut chocolate chip muffin - I am not crazy about muffins - sometimes they are over done or under done - this one was perfectly done. I am happy to find a local establishment to patronize for lunch.
