New to the area, I was really happy to run into China Star at 9:30 pm with a sticker "Best Chinese Food 2014" on the door. What can I say, I"m easily impressed. So my hubby who was already set on General Tso's chicken and pork fried rice, both which were very fresh. The rice I was really impressed with bc it didn't feel greasy or old. The sauce was everything you come to love from General Tso. I got a little adventurous and ordered a Special of the day that was Pepper chicken and I was so in love! It was fried rice and chicken for only $5.95. It was chicken with peppers and onions just latered in pepper. And that may sound a bit odd, but I'm one of those people that loves pepper and well seasoning in general (hence my mild obsession with crab fries), so I really enjoyed it. We also got pork egg rolls which were great, not too much cabbage and just enough questionable pink pork. We got crab ragoons that we ate the next day, since we over ordered, and even reheated they were good. For a local fast chinese meal, I will definitely be returning.

Shrimp and vegetables had a lot of fresh vegetables and the lunch portion had some nice sized shrimp. Fried rice was great.

Order from here again today: We got the pepper chicken, chicken and black bean sauce, general Tso's chicken, wonton soup, and homemade iced tea. The Decent: The pepper chicken - a little spicy, light glaze, with veggies. Black bean chicken - aside from the fact that there were maybe two black beans in the entire dish, this was really yummy, flavorful, and filled with veggies. Wonton soup - again, really flavorful, standard wontons. The Not-so-Decent: General tso's - very gloppy sauce, not much flavor. Iced Tea - worse thing ever!!!!! I though I had swallowed a direct spoonful of sugar...and I like sweet stuff! I tried stirring it, thinking maybe I just got an unevenly sweetened mouthful, to no avail. My only other issue was that the driver called to tell me "food's here," and made no attempt to come to my door. So I had to go meet him at his car to get my food. I ordered takeout because I didn't WANT to walk down three flights of steps and brave the cold weather today!

Wow the most bland chinese food I have ever had. Any most definitely not freshly made on top of it. Even the sweet and sour sauce was blahh. Waste of money and it took forever to arrive.

I've ordered lunch from here a few times with my colleagues. We had no other choice, but to order from China Sun, because there really isn't another Chinese food place around here that will deliver to my office. I am very particular about my Chinese food, maybe because I'm Asian, but either way, I am not impressed with the food here.... in fact, I got really ill the day after we ordered lunch from here and could not even come to work, it was so bad! We stayed away from here for over 7 months and gave it another try.... boy was I sorry again... The boneless spare ribs we ordered, were very greasey and fatty. Yuck, I should have known not to order that. Also, in general, the fried rice is not very tasty. The soups are OK, I enjoy hot sour soup, which is satisfactory here, but nothing to write home about. Bottom line is... not great food, OK soup, but will order from somewhere else and pick it up or SKIP Chinese food for lunch during the work week.

So we went here for Mother's Day dinner. I didn't realize that it was mainly a take- out/delivery joint, but we ate in anyway. The ambience was lackluster. So I ordered wonton soup and mei fun with shrimp. I did not care for the won ton soup, the noodles were not very soft. I was unable to cut the noodles with the side of my spoon- did not like that. The mei fun was okay, I had never had it with shrimp before. My dad got shrimp and lobster sauce and really enjoyed having the sauce on the pork fried rice as opposed to white rice. It was a "combo dish" and the servings were small though it also came with an egg roll. Mom got General Tsos Tofu, she's a vegetarian and said it was the best she ever had. It was just the right amount of spiciness and the tofu was the perfect consistency. Over, I would say my family would probably give this place at least 4 stars, but they aren't the ones writing the review.

Worst takeout Chinese food I ever had. Simple chicken fried rice, not usually found slimy, if you like it that way, China Sun is for you.

I'm pretty picky about where I get my Chinese food. I need a place that has a flavorful curry chicken, crispy and delicious egg rolls, good lo mein and fried rice, and good service. This place totally fits the bill. Not only is the food good, but the staff is always pleasant, and the prices are reasonable. We've only ever had a problem with our order once (our bags got mixed up), but they apologized profusely and we got our correct order quickly. It happens. Is it the best Chinese food I've ever had? No. But, it IS really yummy and we like the friendly people who run it, so what more can you ask for?

Some of the best Chinese I've ever had. Their prices are reasonable, and they give you a lot of food. They're always great about letting me order the good steamed with sauce on the side, and they never complain. Definitely try the steamed chicken dumplings and chicken on a stick.

I love the Chicken with Garlic sauce. The sauce is AMAZING! Also the Bourbon Chicken is good. I got the chicken on a stick once it was ok. It wasn't grilled or broiled, it was fried. Also try the chicken with lobster sauce! I always get that. Never really tried anything else here. Prices are fairly cheap too!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
