The food wasn't seasoned and my biscuit was cold. It also took over an hour to get our food but the place wasn't full. The party that sat down before us was already leaving before we even got our food. In one word: UNDERWHELMED. I would not recommend this place.

One of my favorite places to eat, with or without the family. They have everything on their menu, good service and the kids love the arcade. I've now been here 20 or more times since we moved to Tillamook in November and haven't left unhappy a single time. Best breakfast in town too!!!

Great food, excellent service! We got a steak, burger and a pizza and all were good and the clam chowder is the best

Microwaved clam chowder, paper plates, & heavy pizza. Bland food & drab decor. Would not go there again!

The food was nothing to write home about. The pepperoni pizza omelet was the special; my husband tried it, won't be having that again. Chicken fried steak was OK but my hash browns were very greasy. The service was terrible, you shouldn't have to ask for more coffee twice. The only good thing I can say is we didn't get charged for our drinks. Free coffee and Mt Dew.

Food was okay but the service was lousy. One item was late and we got double charged for it. Check was fixed but with much unnecessary drama.

The new owners (as of October) have done a wonderful job with the place. We went in on a busy Sunday afternoon and they were slammed! Even with how busy they were, the service was timely and friendly. The salad bar was small but everything was extremely fresh. The gluten free pizza was delicious and the burgers, juicy and flavorful. The employees were buzzing around but still took the time to check in on their patrons. The homemade desserts were delicious and definitely worth saving room for. All in all it's great to have another option for good food in Tillamook.

The best Breakfast in town, served all day!!! Love their thick cut smoked bacon! Staff is friendly. Their pizzas are also good along with the clubhouse sandwich and fries!! This is where the locals come! If you are from the city please stay away. This is a small town and all good things take time!!!!

This place was not great. One star service. When we walked in, no one was at the hostess station. We stood there for about a minute or two until I peeked around the corner, and found someone chatting in the kitchen. Additionally, I think it is pretty much basic serving to make sure that your guests continue to have water throughout their meal. About halfway through my sandwich I was thirsty, and I never was given a refill. Upon completion of your meal, you pay at the register. One star ambiance. I didn't love the plastic tablecloths, old carpet, and poorly painted walls. The menus were paper in a plastic cover, but nonetheless, they managed to be discolored and stained. The bathrooms needed to be cleaned pretty badly, and they were about one step up from a campground restroom. There was a surprisingly extensive arcade in their back party room, and there was also a bar past the dining room. Keno was availably for your entertainment pleasure. Three star burger. I had the Fern Wastern Burger, which was topped with BBQ sauce and an onion ring. They gave a lot of (fried) options for sides - french fries, waffle fries, sweet potato fries, and tater tots. I had the waffle fries, and my meal was actually pretty good. My fiancé had a bowl of the chili, and that was very lackluster. I also took a peek at the salad bar, and it was ok I guess. I would recommend not coming here, but I'm not sure about the other options in the area.

Ugh... I had a lot of debate in my head over this being a 2 Star or a 1 Star. I have decided to give this place 2 stars, but only because the burgers and fries were good. Other than that, everything about this place sucked. Crappy service, crappy food, crappy atmosphere. I would NEVER come back here unless it was my dying grandmother's final wish. Do NOT come here for any reason, it is garbage. TL;DR: Please don't come.

Flippin' horrible. Needs a remodel like the world needs to get rid of Heidi Montag. Food was mediocre. Service was non-existent. The waitress knocked my straw out of my drink, getting soda on me. Her reaction was, "Your straw is on the floor." Really? I watched you kung fu my straw and then you blame me? And you won't even give me another? Poo on you!

I give the fern four stars because It's a very nice place to have breakfast and Lunch. Is a very nice size. Also They have a little arcade for the kids. The service was really can't speak fast and we were out in a short period of time. And we were plentiful. There was only one little problem Me and my friends had a steady but it had a lot of fat on it. Also The pizza it isn't the best in the town So is not exactly the best place to go to eat pizza better to eat breakfast.

I had the patty melt and the sweet potato fries. For the love of G-d, do not pass up the sweet potato fries...they are to die for!! The patty melt was beefy, cheesy and satisfying. I had ice tea with lemon to drink...$9.25 for dinner seemed reasonable. You won't be impressed by the appearnace of tbis restaurant. The decor inside and out is nothing to write home about, but it has a warm friendly feeling. There were a lot of families there, so it seems like a popular place with the locals. My waitress was friendly and efficient. This is not a fast food restaurant, so there was a bit of a wait, but nothing unreasonable. Good simple food...burgers, sandwiches, chowder, salad bar, pizza.

The vibe was great! Lost of old folks talking about their hayday. Run down looking but it's a sad little town. The German sausage was kielbasa, not German sausage so -1 star. The waitress was great. The coffee was great. The old folks were great. The decor was sadly great. The couple nearby with their screaming kid wasn't great, but can't legally kick kids or their retarded parents.

Just south of the cheese factory, this is your basic diner food done pretty well. I stopped here with a bunch of friends after camping -- we were tired and starving and their breakfast options (served until 2 p.m., says the menu) definitely hit the spot. Most of us got omelets which were huge, with huge amounts of hash browns, and huge amounts of satiating power. Service was nice, artwork on wall was full of majestic logging scenes. Go check it out!

The only thing worse than the service is the food. I've had better food at truck stops! A run-down, seedy disaster - run away!

We sat ourselves and then waited 15 minutes to be brought a menu and give drink orders. The waitress then cleaned off a table next to us and took the order of the group that had just came in and sat down before bringing us drinks. It wasn't remotely crowded so we thought about ordering appetizers. That was a bad idea as both items we ordered were crispy on the outside but frozen on the inside. My husband chicken fried steak tasted like a fish stick and his gravy was watery and bland. He said the best thing about his food was the toast. My burger was good. I even asked for a to go box so I could finish it later but, ended up leaving all of my food at the table because the waitress never brought the box to us. She instead tried to hand it to my husband when he walked up to pay after another 15 minute wait. Needless to say, we spent 30.00 and ended up stopping at McDonald's on the way home.

After reading the reviews we were kinda skeptic about coming here but hey it was a 50/50 shot so we said what the hey. Not to many people inside and we got to sit where ever we wanted. The waitress was cool and friendly. Got my ice tea right away and she guess right that my husband wanted his milk with the meal. Most waitstaff bring it out early, not thinking. I got the "Hooked something Burger" lol, basically a fish burger and it was quite good. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with lettuce ,tomato and tartar sauce. Pickles on the side and for a side I ordered the sweet potato fries. Never had them before and I've read about them on Yelp so I thought I would try them. I want more they are yummy... Husband had the "Widowmaker - hell I don't know but it was a patty melt and he really liked it and I could see that it was good and cheezy. His side was potato salad and he said it was really good for restaurant salad. He loves his potato salad so that was a high compliment. Had a little wait for the tab but all in all it was a good night and we will definately come back next time we are in town.

This place is no frills dining to be sure, but the food was pretty good. We had breakfast here one morning, and everything was pretty decent. The staff was pleasant, the food was pretty quick, and the portions were large. You won't leave this place feeling hungry. The building ain't much to look at, but that isn't much of a turn-off for me. It's not a dive by any stretch of the imagination, but it's no 5-star restaurant either. If you're looking for a comfortable place to stop in for breakfast, I'd recommend it.

Do not go here. I was camping for my birthday and decided to not cook breakfast one morning - had to head into town anyway to re-stock on ice. It should have been a sign to go somewhere else after they were all out of forks and water glasses. But I love trying new places! Anyway, ordered a Bloody Mary (in honor of my birthday) and found moldy olives in my drink. After I had eaten one! They were really busy so the service took forever, which I can understand. However, this place costs more than Denny's, and I had to sit next to a pile of dead gnats in the windowsill. My boyfriends Denver omelet was raw on the inside and apparently "German sausage" equals a fried up hot dog. Everybody says that the best place to eat in Tillamook is the cheese factory. I was in denial until I tried two different breakfast places! I wanted to find a really charming place in Tillamook, instead I ingested moldy olives.

I just have to say that this place is GREAT!! My whole family 4 adults & 3 small kids decided to try the Fern to have breakfast and we were so glad we did. First off the Service was great, friendly and on top of whatever we might need. The food was amazing, large yummy pancakes, fresh good ol local thick sliced bacon and the chicken fried steak smothered in gravy was to die for. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The price was also great. For two full breakfast meals with large OJ and a two stack side of pancakes came to around $24.00. My daughter, daughter-in-law and 3 grandkids had more than they could eat and their total meal was less than $40.00. Not many places where you can get full & have left overs for 5 people for less than $40.00. Can't wait to go back. Not sure about the review that was negative but when you have an alcohol drink for breakfast, that could be part of the problem. I'm just sayin.
